According to an NPR investigation published on Tuesday, the US Department of Justice reportedly removed key files in the Jeffrey Epstein case as they related to President Donald Trump allegedly sexually abusing a minor. Seriously. WTF.
Oh, and buckle up, y’all — because the allegations you are about to read are intense, and very awful.
So, per this brand-new NPR investigation, the US DOJ seems to have removed some documents from its public database in which Epstein-related accusations also mention Trump. And, as if that’s not enough, some other files appear to have not been made public despite a law literally mandating their release. That includes more than 50 pages of key FBI interviews, NPR found, plus notes from conversations law enforcement had with a woman decades ago when she accused Trump of sexually abusing her back when she was just a child.

The public radio outlet says it figured out the files were missing because there are dozens of inconsistent serial numbers stamped on what should be sequential documents. Basically, dozens of pages were catalogued in order based on those serial numbers, but nowhere to be seen by the public.
And when asked what’s hiding in the vault, the DOJ told the news outlet that the missing docs are privileged, duplicates, or tied to ongoing investigations — but wouldn’t spill the tea on what they actually contain or what investigations they may pertain to.
In response, the House Oversight Committee‘s ranking member, California Congressman Robert Garcia, said it all:
“Yesterday, I reviewed unredacted evidence logs at the Department of Justice. Oversight Democrats can confirm that the DOJ appears to have illegally withheld FBI interviews with this survivor who accused President Trump of heinous crimes.”
WHOA! Illegally withheld documents? And heinous crimes?! Oh, no…
For one, Garcia’s Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are now planning to open a parallel investigation into the DOJ’s decision not to release these particular documents, NPR said. And not only that, but some of the scrubbed files pertain to a woman who was a key witness for the prosecution in the criminal trial of Epstein’s co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving 20 years in prison for sex trafficking.
However, when Trump’s team was asked about these files, his White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said the President has actually “done more for Epstein’s victims than anyone before him.”
Uh huh.
Jackson added:
“Just as President Trump has said, he’s been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein. And by releasing thousands of pages of documents, cooperating with the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena request, signing the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and calling for more investigations into Epstein’s Democrat friends, President Trump has done more for Epstein’s victims than anyone before him. Meanwhile, Democrats like Hakeem Jeffries and Stacey Plaskett have yet to explain why they were soliciting money and meetings from Epstein after he was a convicted sex offender.”
Yeah. Okay.
Has he really been “exonerated” though? As independent journalist and lawyer Aaron Parnas has pointed out in his own reporting:
“Donald Trump falsely claimed he was totally exonerated in the Epstein files. That claim is not supported by the public record. The released documents reference Trump, and there has never been a full, transparent investigation that would justify declaring him cleared.”
Now, that’s only the first part of this terrible story.
See, some of those documents were briefly taken down and then put back online last week, while others still remain hidden and unaccounted for, per NPR‘s deep dive. And of the ones that have now gone back up, the public radio outlet is reporting on some seriously disturbing s**t.

In some of those newly released files, the FBI circulated internal docs that center on Epstein-related allegations against Trump. And while many of those claims were previously marked by agents as “unverifiable” or “not credible,” there was one really interesting — and unsettling — lead.
That one came about more than 40 years ago, when a woman claimed Trump abused her in 1983 when she was around 13 years old. According to the woman’s allegation, Epstein apparently introduced her to Trump, and what supposedly happened next is just… horrific. We previously reported the claim you’re about to read. She alleged:
“[Trump] subsequently forced her head down to his exposed penis which she subsequently bit. In response, Trump punched her in the head and kicked her out.”
Like we said when we first reported it… What. The. F**K?!?!?!?!
Per NPR, the FBI thought so seriously of that accusation that they actually interviewed this accuser four times. Let that sink in.
So what does this have to do with the NEW news this week? Apparently only the first of those four interviews — which was conducted on July 24, 2019 — is included in the public Epstein database. Oh, and that interview conveniently does NOT mention Trump by name. But do the other three interviews mention those accusations against the current President?! We don’t know, because like we said, NPR determined those interviews are somehow nowhere to be found at this point.
NPR dug a little deeper, too: based on the serial numbers stamped on various Epstein files, there appear to be 53 pages (!!!) of interview documents and notes missing from the public Epstein database.

And another set of apparently withheld interview documents involving a second, separate woman also allegedly implicates Trump.
Per NPR, the FBI conducted six interviews with a woman between September 2019 and September 2021 in which she claimed that Epstein and Maxwell began abusing her when she was roughly 13 years old and attending South Florida’s Interlochen Center for the Arts.
At one point, she claims Epstein took her to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club to meet the Apprentice alum. About that meeting, the interview report reads:
“EPSTEIN told TRUMP, ‘This is a good one, huh.'”
In a previously filed lawsuit against Epstein’s estate, that woman also noted that both men laughed at the remark, and in turn:
“[She] felt uncomfortable, but, at the time, was too young to understand why.”
No kidding…
Per NPR, those interview pages were removed from the DOJ’s Epstein files database at some point after they were published on January 30, and were then republished on February 19. Hmmm…
For their part, the DOJ told the news outlet that files are sometimes temporarily removed from the database in case they were flagged by an alleged victim or their counsel for additional review, or to be sure that personally identifying information is fully redacted.
Still FBI interviews with other people about that second woman’s meeting with Trump seem to confirm she was indeed a minor and allegedly being abused by Epstein, the outlet found. One interview which mentioned Trump was pulled abruptly from the database before being restored last week; a second interview with that woman’s mother was yanked off and has still not been put back online.
In that conversation, the mother recalled hearing that “a prince and DONALD TRUMP visited EPSTEIN’s house,” which made her assume that “if they are there then how could EPSTEIN be a criminal.”
Uhhh…
Again, when called out for seemingly withholding the file, the DOJ claimed to NPR that the file required additional redactions and will be reposted soon.
As for the aforementioned woman who testified against Ghislaine Maxwell, her attorney Robert Glassman slammed the DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files as “ridiculous.” Glassman told NPR:
“This whole thing is ridiculous. The DOJ was ordered to release information to the public to be transparent about Epstein and Maxwell’s criminal enterprise network. Instead, they released the names of courageous victims who have fought hard for decades to remain anonymous and out of the limelight. Whether the disclosures were inadvertent or not — they had one job to do here and they didn’t do it.”
Meanwhile, a DOJ spokesperson told NPR that the department is working “around the clock” to handle victim concerns and work on redacting any more personally identifiable information that might have been flagged in the document release.
The DOJ’s statement said:
“In view of the Congressional deadline, all reasonable efforts have been made to review and redact personal information pertaining to victims, other private individuals, and protect sensitive materials from disclosure. That said, because of the volume of information involved, this website may nevertheless contain information that inadvertently includes non-public personally identifiable information or other sensitive content, to include matters of a sexual nature.”
Whew. It’s all a lot, that’s for sure.
