According to TMZ, they received an alleged ransom note on Tuesday morning about Nancy Guthrie! OMG!

As Perezcious readers know, Savannah Guthrie‘s mom has been missing and is believed to have been taken from her Arizona home in the early morning hours of Sunday. Police are frantically trying to find her and have said they are not ruling out any possibilities in the case.

Previously, on Monday, the Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said he wasn’t aware of any ransom note. He was even asked about this possibility again in a Tuesday press conference, simply saying they were looking into all leads. It certainly didn’t sound like they had any indication of a motive for this abduction, but has that changed??

On Tuesday, TMZ revealed they were sent a ransom note via email demanding millions in cryptocurrency to be sent to a Bitcoin address! The outlet has been able to verify that the Bitcoin address is real. They said there was a deadline connected to the ransom and a warning of “or else.”

TMZ has not been able to verify the legitimacy of the ransom note, but they say there were certain things listed, such as comments about Nancy’s clothing and damage to the house, that could potentially point to this being real. The police have shared very few details about the case with the public to preserve the investigation. If whoever wrote this note knows legitimate details the public doesn’t and is sharing them, that’s seemingly their way of trying to prove themselves. Wow.

However, TMZ has no idea right now if this is legit. They’ve sent it off to the authorities to investigate.

In the video, it is said that the note revealed what Nancy was wearing. The outlet clarified the note actually detailed something she was not wearing, and it described an item damaged at the home. Hear more (below):

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department posted a statement on X (Twitter) in response, saying:

“We are aware of reports circulating about possible ransom note(s) regarding the investigation into Nancy Guthrie. We are taking all tips and leads very seriously. Anything that comes in, goes directly to our detectives who are coordinating with the FBI.”

“Ransom note(s)”?! So there are more than one?! Jeez…
