It may have been the celebrity gossip story of 2019.

So it's only fitting that we close the year by revising it, right?

We write, of course, about Tristan Thompson cheating on Khloe Kardashian for THE SECOND TIME this spring -- and not by kissing some random groupie, either.

Thompson made out with Kylie Jenner's best friend, and Khloe's close pal, Jordyn Woods, toward the end of a gathering the basketball player hosted at his house.

It's still sort of unbelievable that he would do such a thing, you know?

And that Woods would be willing to swap spit with Thompson as well, of course.

For her part, Woods has taken some responsibility for her actions... but has also mostly blamed Tristan for what transpired between them many months ago.

Now, nearly a year after the misguided game of tonsil hockey, the Jordyn-Tristan kiss is back in the news because Jada Pinkett Smith has released footage of Woods taking a lie detector test on the actress' Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk.

As you may recall, Woods appeared on this program not long after the scandal broke.

She admitted to smooching Tristan on the lips back in February during this interview, and then said she immediately left the party and felt badly about what happened.

Woods also emphasized at the time that she did NOT sleep with Tristan.

Now, Pinkett Smith has confirmed that Woods actually took a polygraph back on March 1 when she appeared on the star's talk show.

“Jordyn did take a lie detector test … it was Jordyn’s request,” Pinkett Smith said this week, adding:

“It was her request to be here, and it was her request to take the lie detector test. We had a forensic polygraphist with more than 25 years of experience in criminal and civil investigations.”

Why didn't it air at the time?

“It wasn’t for this show — it was for [Woods] and for people that she loves,” Jada says.

Jordyn, as you can see below, is strapped in to the machine on the episode, sitting across from an expert in the field.

“I just want everyone to know that I’m telling the truth,” she tells this person when asked what she hopes to get out of the test. “That’s the most important part of the story to me, is the truth.”

The ccertified polygraphist then asks Woods three questions:

“Are you now in the state of California?”; “Are you currently sitting down?”; and “Did you have sexual intercourse with Tristan Thompson?”

Woods responds yes to the first two, and no to the third.

So... what were the results?!?

“I thought you did a fantastic job,” polygraphist tells Woods after concluding the test. “You definitely passed, and I believe you’re being truthful in the test."

“She passed with flying colors,” Pinkett Smith adds. “There’s always more to the story, so you’ve got to be careful how you judge, no matter what you hear and no matter what’s out there.”

Our truth be told, we always believed Woods in this context.

It was widely accepted awhile back that she and Thompson did not engaged in any kind of intercourse.

This actually may explain the most stunning part of this whole saga, which is the following:

Khloe and Tristan are allegedly back together!

If you'll excuse us now, we need to go get a band-aid for our foreheads.

Because it's bleeding pretty profusely after we slapped it very hard upon reading that news.
