Jill Duggar has gone there, folks.
And. We. Are. Shook.
Over the weekend, Jill and her husband, Deriick Dillard, enjoyed a date night without this kids.
This, on its own, didn't come as a shock. The parents of two actually manage to get away fairly often for some romantic evenings.
But the latest outing has gone viral and has caused long-time followers to do a quadruple take -- BECAUSE JILL DRANK ALCOHOL AT THE RESTAURANT!
By her own admission!
"Date night with my favorite person @derickdillard," wrote Jill as a caption to a photo of the couple, adding:
"We’ve missed our regular date night outings during covid and have had lots of in home dates, but we were able to swap childcare with friends last night for a date!"
Along with some heart emojis, Jill tossed in the following hashtags:
#blessedbeyondmeasure #datenight #hubbytime #stillhoneymooning.
She also told an interested fan that she tossed back at least one drink.
"Drink looks amazing what is it?" a social media user asked.
"A piña colada," replied the 29-year old rebel.
The commenter then inquired: "virgin pina colada or regular?"
"Regular," Jill said.
Duggar, of course, was raised in a conservative and devout independent Baptist household.
Her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, enforced a strict modest dress code and don't allow their kids to even kiss their significant other until marriage ... among many other Duggar house rules.
No alcohol is very much included on this list -- but Jill has been both passively and aggressively fighting back against her mom and dad for months now.
Just consider the following photo and revealing swimsuits Jill recently modeled.
Her husband has been leading this charge.
Dillard uses nearly every Instagram post to trash Jim Bob as selfish, hypocritical and controlling.
Counting On "is under [Jim Bob’s] control, and he will attack the victims if they threaten his show,” Derick tried to tell TLC viewers last month.
“We were humiliated and threatened when we first tried to not film.
"Now it’s not dependent on us anymore to keep the show going because more kids got married, so it’s more OK if we quit."
Jill hasn't said very much admit her husband feuding with her dad.
But her actions here speak louder than any words ever could.
And they've prompted quite an outcry on social media, with some fans taking her side and some critics laying into her for such allegedly anti-Christian values and/or behavior.
“She has a platform she uses on a daily basis to talk about Jesus and she can cause others to think He’s OK with you going out drinking and still being a Christian,” one nay-sayer wrote in response to Jill imbibing.
“So disappointed…deep down you know God doesn’t want this,” another comment reads, continuing as follows:
“Then you’re gonna turn around and talk about God to everyone tomorrow!”
There were some Jill defenders out there, however.
Wrote one:
"That is completely ok. Everything in moderation. And even Jesus drank wine. You are obviously not overindulging.
"Congratulations on making a life of your own. You are still doing what Jesus would do, so relax everybody!!!!!!"
Wrote another: "HELL YES JILL! Live yo best life girl!!!!"
This isn't the first time that Jill has surprised fans in recent years by seemingly acted out.
She's gotten a nose piercing... discusseed her sex life... read the Kama Sutra ... and, most recently, rocked the aforementiooned swimwear.
Two years ago, meanwhile, Diillard stated on Twitter that, while he doesn’t believe that drinking is against the Bible’s teachings, it’s not exactly encouraged among their religious affiliation.
“We don’t believe the Bible teaches that drinking is a sin,” Derick told a fan who asked about his stance on alcohol.
“However, it does warn against/ condemn other aspects of alcohol.”
As for other Duggars, though?
In 2014, Jill and her sister Jessa Seewald talked about the absolute horror they felt when they realized a punch they drank at a political event contained alcohol.
In 2017, Jessa explained that the Duggars are able to enjoy themselves without alcohol.
“As part of personal conviction, my family doesn’t drink alcohol or dance,” Jessa said at the time. “We have tons of fun in other ways. We’re not missing out.”
We tried to ask Jill for a comment in response to her sibling's take.
But we couldn't understand her slurred words.
Just kidding.
