In the past, Kailyn Lowry has been criticized for expecting too much from her baby daddies.
But we don't think anyone would deny that the mother of four has been extremely patient when it comes to Chris Lopez.
Fans were shocked when they first learned that Kail was expecting a second child with Chris, especially given the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy.
Around the time that she conceived her fourth son, Creed, Kailyn filed for a restraining order against Chris following an instance of alleged abuse.
It was later revealed that Lowry was arrested for a separate incident in which she allegedly assaulted Lopez.
Amid all that drama, it's not hard to see why Kail decreed that Lopez would not be allowed in the delivery room when Creed was born.
She later relented, and Chris was present for the birth of his son -- but it seems Kail now regrets that decision.
On Tuesday's episode of Teen Mom 2, Kail revealed that Chris has fallen back into his old habits and is once again behaving like a total deadbeat toward his sons.
"He bought a box of diapers for Creed when Creed was born and that was it," Lowry told a producer.
"He hasn't seen him since the week he was born."
Kail admitted, however, that Chris was a welcome presence at the delivery, which took place at her home, with the assistance of a midwife.
"To my surprise, I will say he was very supportive, we didn't argue, it was good," she said on TM2.
Kail added that there was a terrifying moment in which Creed failed to draw breath on his own, and she says Chris was a much needed source of support at that time.
"[The midwife] goes to give him breaths and he finally [takes breath in]," she explained.
"A midwife is not a doctor and I am 45 minutes from a hospital, so that peace of mind, you don't have that when you have a home birth."
Lowry revealed that Lopez has the right to supervised visits -- a right he has yet to take advantage of.
"He is legally allowed to contact me in writing about his kids," she claimed, "He's never done that."
At that point in the episode, a TM2 producer asked Kail if she's made up her mind that her kids will be happier without Chis' continued presence in their lives.
"Are you making a decision, here and now, 'I don't want you in Creed's life?" the producer asked.
"Pretty much. I just don't want you to f--k my kids up," she answered.
"And I need to pick up the pieces of the mess I created and keep on pushing," Kail added.
As for how Chris feels about Kail's newfound indifference toward him, it seems he's decided to disengage from both his ex and the family he helped to create.
"I used to feel like my side of the story needed to be told to keep facts straight ... now I don't care what story you choose to believe," Chris wrote on Instagram, seemingly in response to this week's episode.
He later added a quote that seemed to indicate that he's happier now than when he was involved with Lowry.
“My story is filled with broken pieces, bad decisions and some ugly truths," he wrote.
"But it’s also filled with major comeback, peace in my soul and grace that saved my life.”
At this point it's probably best for Chris and Kail to keep their distance from one another -- but tragically, he seems to think that means he has to stay away from his kids, too.
