On Thursday, we reported on the shocking allegation that former Zayn Malik had "struck" Yolanda Hadid during an argument that took place in September.
Malik adamantly denied Hadid's claims, but less than 24 hours later, he's been faced with additional accusations, this time from his former partner -- and Yolanda's daughter -- Gigi Hadid.
Shortly after TMZ made this tense situation public, the world learned that Zayn and Gigi had broken up.
The news was confirmed to People magazine by a friend of Gigi's.
"They are not together right now. They are both good parents though," the insider said.
"They co-parent. Yolanda is of course very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild," the source added.
"Gigi is solely focused on the best for [Zayn and Gigi's daughter] Khai. She asks for privacy during this time."
Now, Gigi has accused Zayn of four criminal offenses of harassment.
Initially, TMZ reported that Malik had pled guilty to one count of harassment, but the outlet has since retracted that report, and it now appears that Zayn has pled no contest to all of the charges against him.
Zayn entered his plea on Wednesday.
He will be fined for his involvement in the the incidents, and he'll be forced to serve 90 days probation in connection with each charge, totaling 360 days.
Zayn must also complete an anger management class and a domestic violence program, and he's legally prohibited from making contact with Yolanda or her bodyguard, who was present at the time of the incident.
As more details pour in, we're getting a clearer picture of exactly what happened during the altercation between Zayn and Yolanda, which took place on September 29, but remained private for nearly a month.
According to court documents, Zayn began shouting at Yolanda, calling her a "f--king Dutch slut" and ordering her to "stay away from [my] f--king daughter."
In one of the most bizarre claims found in the court papers, Zayn allegedly explained to Yolanda that the 1-year-old girl belongs to him because "the f--king sperm that came out of [my] f--king c--k."
Eventually, the argument became physical, and Zayn "shoved her [Yolanda] into a dresser causing mental anguish and physical pain."
Speaking on the phone with Gigi, who was in Paris at the time, Malik encouraged her to "strap on some f--king balls and defend your partner against your f--king mother in my house."
Yolanda apparently anticipated an altercation, as she brought a bodyguard with her to confront Zayn.
"Get the f--k out of my f--king house copper," Malik reportedly shouted at the man.
With Zayn's plea of no contest, the legal aspect of this story has likely come to an end, though it's possible that Yolanda will file a civil suit against Malik.
Custody and visitation rights with regard to Khai have yet to be decided, but it seems unlikely that Zayn will give Gigi much of a fight.
At the moment, he's probably just grateful that he was able to avoid jail time.
We'll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.
