Andrew Glennon Reaches Out to Jenelle Evans: David Didn’t Deserve You, Girl!

On the surface, Jenelle Evans and Andrew Glennon may not appear to have a whole lot in common.

Sure, they both starred in popular MTV reality shows, but they came to their roles by very paths.

Andrew and Jenelle

Jenelle, of course, landed a spot on Teen Mom by becoming a teen mom.

Andrew, on the other hand, was late to the party, having hooked up with Amber Portwood only after she had a kid with someone else, lost custody, went to jail, got engaged to a different dude, and wound up on Marriage Boot Camp - which is where she met Glennon, who was working as one of the show's producers.

Yeah. It's a lot to take in.

But as different as their lives might have been up to this point, Jenelle and Andrew now find themselves in very similar situations -- holed up far from home, doing their best to protect their kids from abusive exes.

Andrew was the first to get out, of course.

When Portwood was arrested on domestic violence charges back in July, Glennon immediately took steps to ensure that she would not be permitted to spend time alone with their 1-year-old son, James.

Amber Portwood Stares

Amber blocked Andrew from returning to California, but for the time being, at least, he has full custody of James, and Amber is allowed only supervised visits.

Jenelle took a little longer to break free, but at least she made it.

Evans filed for divorce from David Eason last month, and along with her kids, she has relocated to a safe place in a different state.

Jenelle and David Sittin' on a Porch

Jenelle was recently granted a restraining order against her ex after proving in court what we've all known for years -- David is a violent, abusive, bigoted monster.

Given the similarity between their situations, perhaps it should come as no surprise that Andrew felt compelled to reach out to Jenelle and offer some words of encouragement.

He spoke about their conversation in a recent Instagram post:

"Every small step towards saving yourself and your children from someone who refuses to save themselves is a huge victory,” Glennon wrote.

He went on to criticize those on social media who “pass judgement so easily," and he says he spoke with Jenelle about the discrimination they both face as abuse survivors:

“To minimize what someone is experiencing while in a domestic violence/abusive relationship is a huge disservice,” Andrew continued.

He adds:

“Every time I was attacked it would be minimized and then somehow made to be my fault… and I believed it sometimes!”

He noted that the situation only becomes tougher when “love is involved and when true fear is added.”

“[That can] cloud judgment and make the simplest solutions feel absolutely impossible,” Glennon stated.

David Eason, Wife

“Existence is too brief," he continued.

"We cannot spend it with people who rip us apart and refuse to help themselves, there is too much beauty to be happy for and celebrate and our children MUST be protected from that type of behavior."

“Innocence must be preserved. They are not ‘just babies,’ they are human beings of light and love and they imprint early," he concluded.

Jenelle Evans is Delusional

"Some of the earliest experiences we have echo a lifetime, ensure that happy foundation for your child, it will help them many years down the road.”

Well, it's certainly not the alliance we saw coming.

But considering these two have basically joined forces against evil, we're all for it! Now we just need them to get together romantically.

Just kidding. That would probably be an all-time disaster, but man ... can you imagine the boost to the Teen Mom franchise ratings?
