13 TV Characters Who Are a Waste of Air

Some characters make watching TV shows worthwhile.

Others… not so much. Some make you wonder why you’re even watching said TV show. Know what we mean?

Below, we’ve listed characters who are a waste of air. It’s sad, but true. They suck. And this is why:

1. Rick Grimes – The Walking Dead

A wounded rick grimes
Look, we really loved Rick during the earlier seasons of The Walking Dead. He took the leadership role very seriously, but somewhere along the way, he started to make mistakes. He didn’t take ownership of them and continued to be in power. He may be gone from the main series, but fans still have to endure this character sulking his way through a trilogy of movies.

2. Jon Snow – Game of Thrones

Jons scratch
At one point, people cared about Jon Snow, but by the time the final season arrived, he might as well have been a guest star. He did very little for five episodes, before plucking up the courage to murder his aunt/lover. His reward? Going beyond the wall … after the Night King’s army had been obliterated.

3. Owen Hunt – Grey’s Anatomy

Kevin mckidd on greys anatomy season 14
Remember when April and Arizona were written out of Grey’s Anatomy because the creative forces behind the show were struggling to serve all of the characters?

Well, Owen should have been the one to go before either of those two. His storyline has been tedious for several seasons. He sucks the air out of every scene he’s in. It’s time for him to go.

4. Alaric Saltzman – Legacies

Alaric knows trouble is brewing on the vampire diaries
Alaric has appeared on The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and more recently, Legacies. The character continues to make the same mistakes he has since the character first appeared on screens in 2009. More recently, his ridiculous decision to not teach his students defensive magic almost resulted in a lot of them dying.

5. Laurel Castillo – How to Get Away with Murder

It’s Laurel’s world and everyone is just living in it … at least, according to her. Every single plot twist over the last few seasons have most revolved around Laurel and her crazy family and it needs to stop.

6. Octavia Blake – The 100

The 100 season 4 pic
At one point, Octavia was the best part of The 100, but her descent into madness during the show’s fifth season solidified her as a villain, and completely irredeemable.

13 Series Finales That Sucked Big Time

Investing time in a TV show is no small task.

As such, it’s not too much to ask for a conclusion that feels not only warranted but bittersweet.

Sadly, that thought was lost on the creative forces behind these shows because the final episodes sucked. Hard.

Have a look below to find out just what we’re talking about here.

1. Game of Thrones

Game of thrones finale photo
Daenerys went all Mad Queen, so her lover/nephew took it upon himself to end her reign. As Dany embraced Jon, he stabbed her. Drogon retaliated by not burning Jon to smithereens. Instead, the creature melted the Iron Throne, before picking up his mother’s corpse and flying away. Oh, and Bran who will always be remembered as that kid with white eyes who mumbled for eight seasons was made King.

2. True Blood

True blood series finale
Sookie killed Bill because it hurt him that she couldn’t live a normal life or something. She moved on with some random dude several years later and seemed happier than she’s ever been. It was like the previous seven seasons did not exist. Slap in the face? Totally.

3. How I Met Your Mother

How i met your mother series finale photo
The whole show was about a dude telling his kids how he met their mother. After meeting the said mother, she was killed off in the series finale. In essence, the previous nine seasons were a waste. Even Barney and Robin didn’t get their happy ending. AWFUL.

4. Dexter

Dexter series finale photo
Dexter bumped off his sister, left his son to be raised by a serial killer. The biggest kicker? Dexter became a lumberjack. We could argue that he could put his knife skills to good use, but the finale was utter nonsense. Even worse, some fans are still calling for a revival. Just leave Dexter to play with his wood. Pun intended.

5. Lost

Lost series finale photo
Lost was a groundbreaking series that kept viewers glued to the screen for six whole seasons. Early into the show’s second season, fans started to wonder whether the characters were dead and stuck in limbo. That was vehemently denied by everyone associated with the show. So, you can imagine how viewers felt when the series finale confirmed our heroes were, indeed, dead.

6. Gossip Girl

Gossip girl series finale photo
On paper, the series finale was great. Chuck and Blair got married, and Dan and Serena got married. Shippers got their wishes, but the fundamental issue with the final installment was that Dan was revealed to be Gossip Girl. It made no sense, leaving several questions unanswered.

The Real Housewives of New York Finale Recap: Bethenny Frankel Has a Brush With Death

Thursday’s season finale of The Real Housewives of New York was a horrifying one for Bethenny Frankel.

If you keep up with all things Bethenny Frankel, then you probably know about her near-death experience back in December.

The Skinnygirl founder revealed back then she was minutes from dying after suffering a severe allergic reaction to a soup that contained fish.

She said at the time that she immediately began to feel itchy and even went unconscious.

Simply put, it was a scary time for her and everyone who loved her. The season finale went into a lot of detail when it caught up with December’s events.

“I got back from being in Boston with my boyfriend yesterday, and the two prior days, I spent in ICU in Boston because I had an anaphylactic shock incident,” Bethenny admitted.

“Paul brought me a hot miso soup. Miso itself doesn’t have fish in it, [but] this particular miso soup had bonito in it, which is this type of fish flakes.”

“I have had a severe fish allergy my entire life,” she explained.

“Paul left to get the Benadryl, and he came back three minutes later, and I was unconscious. He managed to get Benadryl and water down my throat and call 9-1-1.”

“Paul saved my life,” Bethenny revealed with tears in her eyes.

“He was trying to act like everything was okay, but his face, his eyes, he looked so worried. But he was keeping it together. He was totally calm.”

Bethenny called Sonja Morgan, and she struggled to keep it together.

“I’m home. It was brutal,” Bethenny told her pal.

“I just drank a cup of hot soup, and it’s happened before where I feel a little itchy or bumpy, and then I felt my hands get really swollen. Like, they just got super tight. And Paul was like, ‘Do you want me to get you a Benadryl?'”

“Paul was like seeing if I was breathing, and I was drooling,” she continued of the incident.

“I was in the ambulance, and they jammed like this rocket pen in my leg. I got to the ER, and then I heard the guy say if it had been five more minutes that I would’ve passed away.”

“It was just like not real. And then they were like, ‘You’re going to the ICU.’ And if no one was with me, I would’ve been dead. That’s what’s freaking me out — if I was alone. I don’t wanna be alone now.”

Later, Bethenny told her driver that she felt the presence of Dennis Shields while she was going through the harrowing ordeal.

“Do you wanna hear the craziest thing ever?” she said.

“So when I was going to the emergency room, like in the middle of all the craziness, I felt Dennis pulling at me. I didn’t think it; I felt it. I felt that he was pulling me.”

“But now, I’m done with him,” she added, confirming that she is ready to move on.

“I talk about him too much. I bring him up, I bring up his sayings, I bring up everything. I’m done. It’s over. That is over. Let me be. You go be where you are, and I’m gonna stay here.”

She added in a confessional:

“I’ll always love Dennis. I talk about him, I think about him every single day, but he always wanted me to be happy, ultimately. He would always say to me, ‘You will find someone who will love you and treat you the way that you deserve to be treated.’ It was some sort of closure with Dennis. ‘I’m not going with you.'”

Elsewhere, the rest of the installment focused on Luann’s cabaret show, and how she invited the ladies to her show, only to whisk them away.

But the drama did not actually stem from that. Dorinda started to wonder where the eff Tinsley was getting her money.

If you watch The Real Housewives of New York online, you know that Tinsley and Scott broke up a while ago.

Dorinda thought there was more to the story than Tinsley was letting on, so she cornered her to ask where she was getting her money.

As expected, Tinsley was livid but did not tell the ladies anything aside from that she and Scott were definitely over.

That’s a storyline that will likely continue next season.

The Real Housewives of New York Recap: Sonja Morgan Faceplants at Dinner!

Sonja Morgan’s drunken adventure in Miami continued on Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York.

We picked up in the immediate aftermath of Sonja falling to the ground after telling Bethenny she would “knock her out.”

In her trip to the floor, she hit her head on the dining room table, leaving Bethenny Frankel, Dorinda Medley, Barbara Kavovit, and Tinsley Mortimer worried that she hurt herself.

The ladies rushed over, and Sonja was still mumbling obscenities, but she did kiss Bethenny on the cheek. But the Skinnygirl founder kept asking if Sonja hurt herself.

When Barbara confirmed Sonja hit her head, the paramedics were called by Bethenny.

“You just hear horror stories: ‘Oh, someone fell and then died in the middle of the night,'” Bethenny explained.

“So I want the paramedics here because I need to know with 100 percent absolute certainty that Sonja is okay.”

“I just wanna kiss Bethenny!” Sonja said as she awaited the ambulance.

“I know, I know, I know,” Bethenny said back. “Big night. It’s a big night.”

Sonja then took aim at Bethenny for ruining her good time, or something.

Bethenny was shocked when Sonja started checking out her ass.

“Your ass is amazing!” Sonja yelled as she kissed Bethenny’s butt. “Oh, my God. It’s an amazing ass!” she continued.

Yes, really!

While all of this was going down, Tinsley and Ramona left the house to hit the town.

That’s what you do when Bravo is footing the bill for drinks, it seems.

“Get in, bitch!” Sonja shouted at Bethenny, telling her to get under the covers with her.

“How many fingers am I holding up?” Bethenny asked as she held up three fingers.

“Three!” Sonja replied.

“Who is the president?” Bethenny asked. “Uh, Clinton?” Sonja said, adding:

“Oh! That f–king Trump guy!”

When the paramedics arrived, Sonja’s drunken antics were kicked up a notch.

“These guys are hot!” Sonja said loudly to Bethenny, who agreed. “Can you check her, too?!” Sonja asked one of them.

“That is not appropriate,” Bethenny replied, clearly embarrassed by what was going on.

“Do you take any medications on a daily basis?” one of the guys asked Sonja.

“No, but I am allergic to dust mites,” she replied.

If you watch The Real Housewives of New York online, you know that Luann de Lesseps previously claimed that Sonja was taking drugs.

Bethenny admitted in a confessional that she was “very relieved to hear that Sonja’s pupils don’t appear to look like she’s taking anything” and that she was excited to “shove that straight up Luann’s ass because it’s a really horrible accusation.”

Luann knew all about the incident but was still mad at the way Sonja spoke to her at dinner.

“Barbara came, and she told me the paramedics were there, and after everything that she said to me, I just can’t look at Sonja right now. It was so hurtful, I just can’t move,” Luann admitted to the Bravo cameras.

“After Sonja said some devastating things to me last night, nobody’s checking on me to see how I’m doing. Is anybody checking on me? ‘Are you okay, Lu?’ Did I bring a bottle of vodka back to my room? Which God knows I wanted to.”

But why did Luann think that Sonja was pestering her?

“I think they have a problem with my success, is the problem,” Luann told a stunned Ramona the next morning.

“Ohhh, I don’t think so,” Ramona replied as she tried to refrain from laughing in her friend’s face.

“I think that they feel that your attitude to the group is that you have this aloof, condescending [attitude].”

Luann maintained her stance, however, even though Ramona said on multiple occasions that it was not correct.

The countess added that she felt like Sonja was “spiraling into darkness” and that she would benefit from an AA meeting.

“I’m worried about you,” Luann later told Sonja.

“It’s not normal that you faceplant at a dinner table. Do you understand?”

But Sonja was not about to accept defeat. Instead, she went on the offensive.

“Oh, really? You who fall in the bushes?” Sonja shot back.

“Yes, but at least I own it! I know I have an issue with drinking,” Luann replied.

Sonja said that she recognized she drank a bit too much and that she needs to “reign it in,” but she did not think Luann was genuine about her concerns.

“I don’t think you’re worried about me at all!” she said.

“Why did you complain to the girls? Why didn’t you just say to me, ‘You know what, Sonja? I think you’re a little manic and you’re taking pills.’ I don’t need you saying that to people! If I went around saying that about you, you’d be in jail!”

Luann ultimately said that she would go to Sonja with her concerns in the future.

This will not last!

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Recap: Brandi Glanville Returns, Throws Major Shade at Lisa Vanderpump

Brandi Glanville was a polarizing cast member during her stint on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The best thing about her was that she spoke her mind, and didn’t care if she had to throw someone under the bus.

Glanville made a big return to the series during Tuesday’s episode, but not as a series regular.

Instead, she has the less coveted “friend of the housewife” role thanks to her new friendship with Denise Richards.

It’s a start, right?

But Brandi was back to cause some major drama, and it was all related to PuppyGate.

“She does have a direct hotline to Radar Online, to be honest,” Brandi said of Lisa Vanderpump when Denise told her everything.

But Denise was not ready to throw LVP under the bus.

“I don’t know her well enough to know if she leaked it or not!” Denise said, trying to refrain from laughing out loud.

“Well, she did for sure,” Brandi replied, clearly relishing in the fact that she has a platform to run her mouth.

“And of course she’s gonna like you ’cause you’re young and pretty and blonde. And she likes pretty things. She liked Dorit, she liked me. If you cross her in any way, which I did…”

Denise wondered whether Brandi was the type of person to cross Lisa or forever maintain her silence during arguments.

“A little bit of both. No, I kinda crossed her. I said, ‘You’re not telling the truth in this situation.'”

If you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online, you know that Brandi and Lisa’s relationship soured when there were rumors circulating that Mauricio Unmasky was stepping out on Kyle Richards.

Brandi said that Lisa planned to use the allegations to her advantage during a cast trip to Palm Springs.

“Literally, I’ve spent the past three years being punished for crossing her in a way,” Brandi said.

“Why would she do that to a friend, though?” said a confused Denise.

“Because she really, in her head, does nothing wrong,” Brandi replied.

“Lisa Vanderpump and I were best friends for five years. Let’s be clear,” she said a confessional. “Whatever she wants out there, she gets out there.”

The conversation quickly turned to Kim Richards and Lisa Rinna’s bust-up over PuppyGate. Denise was on team Lisa for that one, but Brandi’s loyalty to Kim meant she was against Rinna.

“So Kim called me, and I was like, ‘What are you talking about?! She’s the sweetest person ever!'” Brandi said. “She’s like, ‘That bitch!’ I’m like, ‘Oh, my God.'”

“But why am I a bitch!?” Denise shot back.

“I was trying to reassure her that Lisa Rinna didn’t mean anything by it. Was it bad timing? Probably. Was it the right thing to say? Probably not.”

“Bad timing, bullshit thing to say…” Brandi hurled back.

“And that’s okay! We all f–k up,” Denise claimed. “We all make mistakes. All I know is they should just move on from it. It’s a f–king bunny.”

Elsewhere on this wild installment, Lisa Rinna was trying to help her youngest daughter, Amelia battle anorexia.

At a family barbecue, Harry and Lisa were visibly concerned when Amelia refused to eat at a family barbecue.

But things took a wild turn when Harry tried to tell Amelia to clear the plates … even though she didn’t use any of them.

“Amelia has issues with food,” Rinna explained during a confessional.

“You watch Amelia take two steps forward, one step back. It is not an easy, clean, ‘Okay, great! You did that, you had that, you had the help.’ It’s not like that. It’s just one day at a time.”

“The scariest thing about anorexia is, is she gonna have this forever?” she continued.

“I don’t wanna see her suffer. I wanna fix it. You wanna make it go away. You wanna erase it. You just wanna take your child out of pain. You don’t want your child to be in pain.”

“You can’t help but blame yourself,” she added. “It’s like, what did we do to f–k her up?”

The Real Housewives of New York Recap: Bedlam in Miami

Sonja Morgan, where have you been?!

Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York put the spotlight on the long-term cast member, and it was so much fun.

Luann de Lesseps, who is still struggling with the demands of her cabaret tour wasted no time in telling the ladies all about Sonja showing up at her rehearsals.

Luann was worried because Sonja was jabbering. If you watch The Real Housewives of New York online, you know that Sonja talks fast, but Luann thought the party girl was taking pills.

Sonja said she was only doing alcohol, and that the ladies should probably stop giving Luann the time of day.

While in Miami, Sonja followed that up by getting drunker, and hurling insults at her supposed friends.

She took aim at Luann for marrying Tom D’Agostino, a loser who Sonja got vertical with first.

In all honesty, Sonja should be happy she dodged a bullet with Tom. He wasn’t the best suitor for any of the housewives.

Sonja then turned to Ramona because her friend got up close and personal with Harry Dubin, a man that Sonja was engaged to.

Yeah, it was a bizarre chain of events, but there was plenty more to come. Sonja had told Dorinda all about Luann bashing her.

Dorinda has had a weird relationship with Luann of late, and it seems like they’re just looking for reasons to fight with each other.

“He was my lover! Why did you go there?!” Sonja shot at Luann when the ladies sat down to dinner.

“You sleep with anything!” Dorinda said to Luann with horror in her eyes. “I would never want you to sleep with anyone I ever dated!”

Luann tried to shut Dorinda up, telling her not to get involved. That did not go down well.

“Don’t tell me not to get involved! I’ll get involved with whatever I want to!” she shouted at her nemesis.

Dorinda then threatened legal action because she did not want her name to be in Luann’s show. Sonja said that she told Luann to stop being so mean about Dorinda in the script.

“Luann, I have been your best advocate,” Sonja managed to shout after too many drinks.

Luann rolled her eyes, prompting Sonja to go for the jugular.

“Oh, really? Really?! You wanna start like that?! Maybe you wanna take it down a notch right now. I came to your rehearsal. You’re a f–king diva!”

“I’m not a diva,” Luann said. “Don’t talk to me like that.”

“SHUT THE F–K UP!” Sonja hurled “GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE! DON’T YOU TELL ME NOT TO TALK TO YOU LIKE THAT, BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT, I WILL TALK TO YOU LIKE THAT!”

Luann decided it was best to leave the whole scenario, so she made her way to the bedroom.

Bethenny Frankel arrived to the party late but heard EVERYTHING. She made her way to Luann’s room to dole out some advice.

“I’m here to talk. I’m not here to listen,” Bethenny said as she entered the room. B said that Luann was bordering on obsessed with her cabaret show.

Luann did not care enough to acknowledge her friend’s concerns and Bethenny left.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Recap: BunnyGate Returns!

Tuesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was a real hoot.

Kim Richards returned, Lisa Rinna dressed up as Erika Jayne, and there was even some BunnyGate drama.

The episode kicked off with Lisa dressing up as Erika, and she nailed it. The purpose of the fancy dress was for Kyle Richards’ Halloween party.

When the party was in full swing, Kim walked in. If you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online, you know the last time they spoke on the show was during the Season 7 reunion.

Kim returned a teddy bear to Rinna she had bought for her grandson. It was down to the way the two women butted heads during that particular season.

Kim could not forgive Rinna for telling Eden Sassoon that she (Kim) was not sober and “close to death.”

Rinna was shocked because she did not know Kim was going to be at the event. Rinna lapped up playing the version of Erika and brought up BunnyGate.

“You know, I wanna say one thing. Kim, you giving Lisa Rinna that bunny was really c–ty,” Rinna said.

When Kim did not respond, Rinna continued to repeat it until she got a reaction.

“I don’t recall Erika being quite like that,” Kim complained.

Kim then turned to Dorit, Kyle, and Camille to complain about Rinna for being silly and “running around in Erika’s ponytails.”

Denise Richards appeared out of nowhere and unleashed holy hell on Kim.

“I think she looks great… Isn’t it about a f–king stuffed animal that we’re talking about? And you know what, it really hurt her feelings,” the new cast member shouted.

“That is a lie,” Kim shot back.

“It’s not a f–king lie, Kim. It hurt her feelings!” Denise countered, before trying to tell Kim to “let it go.”

Both Kim and Kyle were livid, but the whole thing pushed Kim to find Rinna for a good old sit down.

“I’m not looking for a fight, Lisa,” Kim said to her nemesis. In a true twist, Rinna wanted to put the past behind them.

Kim wanted an apology, but Rinna felt like Kim owed her one. The two ladies finally put the past behind them and agreed to cut the B.S.

It’s not often that these ladies manage to move on from things. At this rate, we’ll still be talking about PuppyGate in ten years.

In any case, Brandi Glanville’s big return is sure to shake up the dynamics. She’s back next Tuesday.
