Vanderpump Rules?
Not anymore for Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor. But better yet, the dynamic duo is about to find out that parenthood also rules. Just as much, if not more.
The long-time Bravo personalities welcomed their first child this week, breaking the blessed news themselves via the following photo and following caption.
“Yesterday, April 12th at 1:51pm, our lives changed forever in the absolute best way possible," wrote Brittany on Instagram, adding of her newborn:
"Our beautiful son Cruz Michael Cauchi was born and we have never been more in love."
"He is the most precious gift and I am so blessed to be his Mommy."
Continued Brittany: "We are soooooo so happy, he is a dream come true!! - Both Mommy & Baby are doing great!”
Cartwright and Taylor - whose real name is Jason Michael Cauchi - announced their exit from Vanderpump Rules in December.
Or maybe they were fired, as some fans believe.
The details may never be completely known.
In any case, it was the end of an error/era.
"The last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life," Taylor wrote at the time.
"Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules..."
"Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything," he wrote.
"We love you."
Now, of course, times have changed, for the better. Taylor has someone very different -- and very small -- to love.
"I don't think I have ever been as happy as I am right now, everything else in life seems so insignificant now," he wrote yesterday on social media.
"I am crying just writing this message."
"I have the most beautiful son a man could ask for, he's an absolute blessing from god."
Jax also had some very nice things to say about Cartwright, who he has been with since back in 2015.
"I just want to say how absolutely amazing my wife has been through this whole process," he added.
"It has not been an easy pregnancy for her but she did an absolute amazing job all the way till the end."
Taylor, a man once best known for drunken outbursts, also spoke to E! News about the miracle of childbirth.
He told the outlet that "women are the most amazing creatures on the planet," saying of the woman by his side:
"The respect and love I have for my wife has reached a new level and I am just in awe of her."
Since announcing her pregnancy in September of last year, Brittany has chronicled her journey on social media.
At one point, trolls criticized her changing body.
This abuse prompted the reality star and Kentucky native to jump on Instagram in order to celebrate her figure.
"I am growing a perfect and healthy human being who I have only dreamed of my entire life," she wrote.
"I am going to give my body the respect it deserves and shout it from the rooftops how lucky and blessed I feel to experience this pregnancy...
"I am feeling very lucky and emotional to have this opportunity to be a mom and I will no longer let trolls influence my happiness."
As for their professional plans going forward?
“Jax and Brittany want to focus on their family and their new journey,” a rep for the pair told Us Weekly late last year.
“They are very excited for their son and they have some projects they are working on that allow them to share their own lives without Bravo’s limitations.”
Not sure what that means, but we'll probably find out - for better or worse. Guess they have to earn money somehow - especially with their current family plan.
They aren't done having kids, people.
"I have always said three [kids] and Jax has always said two, but as soon as we had Cruz he said we could have as many as I want," Cartwright just told E! News.
Of course, "as many as I want" doesn't automatically mean we have a West Hollywood Duggar family on our hands here.
Brittany concluded with a prediction on that note:
"So we will probably end up with three!"
For now, one is perfect.
Congratulations to the happy couple on this incredible milestone and on successfully holding up their end of the unspoken, totally unplanned Vanderpump Rules Pregnancy Pact of 2020-21.
