Southern Charm Season 8 Trailer Shows Craig Conover and Austen Kroll BRAWL, Return of Naomie Olindo

Last summer, beautiful Naomie Olindo dumped her cheating boyfriend, receiving widespread support from fans.

She had quit Southern Charm and moved to another state to be with him. Now, she’s back.

The Season 8 trailer shows her return to the show, alongside endless further drama.

Austen Kroll and Craig Conover’s fight is taking center stage, however. This nasty brawl could mean a permanent end to their bromance.

In 2020, Naomie Olindo joined Cameran Eubanks and Chelsea Meissner in walking away from the series.

Like her move to New York, her retirement from reality television turned into something closer to a hiatus.

She is returning to a cast that is fuller than she may remember, but still filled with familiar faces.

Leva Bonaparte, Craig Conover, Kathryn Dennis, Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy, and Shep Rose are still full time members of the cast.

Patricia Altschul and her son, Whitney Sudler-Smith, will be recurring this season — and so will John Pringle, a familiar face from Season 7.

Season 8 also welcomes new full-time cast members Venita Aspen and Taylor Ann Green.

Olivia Flowers, Marcie Hobbs, and of course Chleb Ravenell are also newcomers to Season 8.

The Southern Charm season premiere airs right as summer begins, on June 23.

And the trailer for the new season features fights, a new love triangle, more fights, and a major herbo moment for Leva.

For one thing, after Naomie ditched Metul Shah, she and Craig — who of course is also her ex — rekindled things somewhat.

In the trailer, when Naomie confronts Craig for being “awkward around me a little bit,” he explains why.

“We’re not just exes,” Craig explains. “We hooked up recently.” He, of course, is now dating Paige DeSorbo from Summer House.

At one point, we see Paige sit down with Craig to talk about this.

“I think that hanging out one-on-one with an ex while you are dating someone is inappropriate,” she warns him.

But that is just one small piece of the equation.

While Madison is clearly happily engaged (her impact upon the entertainment news landscape basically gave us Bennifer 2.0, never forget), others are struggling.

Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green seem to be in a make-it-or-break-it point in their romance.

“I want to go places with you,” Shep says, “and see the world.”

Later, Shep admits: “I don’t know where I’m going to be in six months” before being advised that, if he has a child, that decision will be made for him.

In another context, he admits that Taylor “gets jealous.”

Austen is also concerned for Taylor and the way that Shep treats her during their relationship.

“The way that he talks to you sometimes,” Austen tells Taylor, a tone of worry in his voice.

A clip shows Shep calling Rose “a f–king idiot” during a loud, and very public, argument — something that should be an absolute dealbreaker in any relationship.

“What is going on?” a tearful Taylor is later shown asking. “I’m starting to question everything.”

Meanwhile, Kathryn Dennis and Chleb Ravenell — who we already know broke up in the back half of 2021 — are having clear issues.

“I can go to all your friends and ask, ‘Hey is Kathryn a problem?’ Yes, you are, the problem!'” Chleb tells her during a tense confrontation.

Well, that relationship is doomed, but we probably won’t know all of the details until it airs, if then.

The biggest fight, however, comes between Craig and Austen, as they get into a physical fight.

Craig puts Austen in a headlock, demanding that he say “sorry.”

One imagines that producers had to step in not long after what little we saw in the trailer.

In another scene, Shep also goes after Austen.

“Austen, you’re a f–king joke!” he yells. “I can’t believe i’m sharing oxygen with you!”

Harsh words, totally devoid of context. This summer, we’ll find out more.

Kathryn Dennis and Chleb Ravenell: It’s Over!

Early this summer, Kathryn Dennis and Chleb Ravenell celebrated on year together.

They had already marked major realtionship milestones, including moving in together in April.

By all accounts, the two had a lot of fun together, and the romance was a comfort to Kathryn during dark times.

Now, it’s over.

On Thursday, November 18, Us Weekly revealed that Kathryn and Chleb have gone their separate ways.

“She broke up with him,” the insider source announced.

“And,” the insider added, “they are no longer living together.”

“There is no bad ill-will between them,” the source emphasized.

It’s good to know that there’s no bad blood and that the two are not in that awkward situation of exes who are still sharing a roof.

But … what went wrong?

According to the insider, the key issue is that Kathryn wants to “get married again.”

We’re pretty sure that this source is speaking colloquially; many forget that Kathryn and Thomas never married.

“And,” the insider continued, Kathryn would like to “have more kids.”

Kathryn is already a mother to Kensie, age 7, and Saint, age 6.

She and the children’s widely reviled father, disgraced former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel, broke up in 2016.

Apparently, Kathryn is moving past a point where she’s looking for a fun partner and is more focused on finding something more important: a good father.

“Her future husband would have to be this amazing stepfather to her children,” the source characterized.

“And,” the insider continued, he would need to “be someone who would make a serious commitment to her.”

The source lamented: “and [Chleb] just wasn’t that.”

“They weren’t meant to be,” the insider stated whimsically.

“And,” the source described, “even friends of hers picked up on it.”

The insider then added: “She has so much love in her life as is with her little kiddos.”

The source explained that Kathryn is now searching for “The One.”

He doesn’t just need to be boyfriend material.

Mr. Right needs to be someone who makes her “entire family happy,” too.

Now, recently, Kathryn and Thomas celebrated Saint’s birthday.

Your little boy only turns 6 years old once, and they celebrated the milestone together on November 13.

Seeing Kathryn and Thomas seem to get along so well caught some fans off guard.

If you were tossing and turning at night, unable to sleep for fear that Kathryn and Thomas might reconcile and start dating, don’t panic.

The insider clarified that Kathryn and Thomas “are not getting back together.”

Instead, the source explained, they are just making an effort to be “amicable for the sake of their children.”

Kathryn has had some major low points of her life in recent years.

A racism scandal and being cast as the villain by multiple former castmates as they quit the show could not have been easy.

But that, at least, was her own doing.

Kathryn also lost custody of her children, only able to see them a handful of times a month.

That much was the result of Thomas Ravenel’s vicious custody war with her.

It left many Southern Charm fans feeling like money can buy any court decision … and hoping that Kathryn can find happiness again.

Kathryn Dennis and Chleb Ravenell Celebrate One Year Together!!

Just a few months ago, Kathryn Dennis moved in with her boyfriend.

She and Chleb Ravenell began dating last summer, and things are clearly serious.

Never has that been more clear than now.

Kathryn and Chleb have celebrated their one-year anniversary and are showing no signs of slowing down.

Over the weekend, Kathryn Dennis took to Instagram to mark a special relationship milestone.

“12 months down,” she wrote on Saturday, July 24.

The photo showed the 29-year-old reality star alongside her handsome 32-year-old boyfriend.

The pair were photographed in a Charleston nightclub.

In accordance with gender expectations, Kathryn was dressed gloriously while Chleb was more lowkey in attire.

Honestly, nothing wrong with that except the discrepency. Nothing wrong with dressing up or being comfy.

Though they clearly began dating in July of last year, Kathryn and Chleb actually waited to go public.

Wisely, they did not become Instagram-official until October of that year.

Their relationships has included some substantial lows in Kathryn’s life.

Kathryn having a custody war with her ex, Thomas Ravenel, is nothing new.

They have clashed in family court before, accusing eachother of being unfit parents and drug-addled to boot.

But this time, things were different.

Kathryn has temporarily lost custody of her children.

Having limited, supervised visits with her two children must be unimaginably heartbreaking.

Kensie is 6 and Saint is 4. We’re sure that this is a massive adjustment for them, as well.

Kathryn had other difficulties as well.

She began dating Chleb only a couple of months after her racism scandal.

It may have been an accident … but the context does not really excuse her.

Word to the wise: don’t send a bunch of monkey emojis to mock a Black woman.

Even if Kathryn truly did not use emojis with the intention of using a racist symbol, she could have thought about it first.

The context — defending her friend for organizing a COVID-19 era Trump boat rally — only made things worse, not better.

Kathryn began dating Chleb in July of that year, keeping the relationship under wraps at first.

Notably, Chleb and her ex, Thomas, share a last name (with different spelling).

This is not a coincidence, in the worst way. One man’s ancestors owned the other’s.

Leva Bonaparte has the complicated role of being Southern Charm‘s first-ever castmate of color.

There is more to her, of course, as there is for anyone.

The previous all-white casting is an inexcusable oversight and now puts her in an uncomfortable position.

So, naturally, it fell to Leva to discuss the timing of Kathryn beginning to date Chleb.

She noted the importance of recognizing that dating, sleeping with, being friends with, or being related to Black men does not make Kathryn not racist.

Unfortunately, as we all know, many racists do all of those things, and then try to use those people of color as shields against accusations.

For the record, Kathryn said that she had begun hanging out with Chleb before they began officially dating.

She put the timeline as “before quarantine,” which does adjust how this looks, up to a point.

It is possible, even likely, that Kathryn dated Chleb for reasons of her own … even if the timing looks sus AF.

Kathryn Dennis Moves in With Boyfriend Chleb Ravenell

Disgraced former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel has full custody of his children with Kathryn Dennis.

Their custody battle ended in a major loss for Kathryn.

But she has just moved into a new home with her boyfriend, Chleb Ravenell.

Kathryn is showing off the new digs … including a photo with her kids.

Kathryn took to Instagram to show off her new home that she shares with her boyfriend.

The space is devoid of color and was initially devoid of furniture, but that’s how new homes work.

“So we got our first place together!” Kathryn announced.

She continued her caption: “Let @thehomeedit and peel and stick projects begin!”

Kathryn also shared a photo of herself with her children, Kensie and Saint, in the home.

We’re sure that they were mostly just happy to see their mom.

Fans first realized that Kathryn and Chleb were probably dating last July.

The two were spotted together and looked extremely cozy.

They were a group of friends on a trip, but Kathryn and Chleb looked, shall we say, extra friendly.

It wasn’t long before their relationship became a little more official.

Chleb very conspicuously (almost) shares a last name with Kathryn’s infamous baby daddy.

Sadly, the story behind why many Black families and white families in the south share last names stems from slavery.

Yes, the Ravenel family — the ones with one L in their names — have benefitted from generational white wealth for centuries.

It is incredibly awkward and generally unusual for two men to date a woman when one man’s ancestors “owned” the other’s.

But the show’s title, Southern Charm, has always been a little tongue in cheek. Sometimes, it’s a grim joke.

Kathryn’s photo with her kids confused some fans who had heard that she had lost custody.

Those fans didn’t hear wrong; it’s true.

But she does still have supervised weekend visits with the kids.

This is likely when the photo of them at the new place was snapped.

In fact, under the previous custody arrangement, Kathryn could never have moved in with Chleb without approval.

Now that she no longer has any share of custody of the kids, this is possible .. it’s bittersweet, to say the least.

As we reported in extensive detail, Thomas and Kathryn waged a custody war.

They’ve done this more than once since the two (finally) broke up.

They have each accused the other of being unworthy parents and generally total drug fiends.

They both do have legal histories involving drugs, though Thomas more infamously so.

This time, however, Thomas apparently had Kathryn followed by private investigators.

And according to his allegations in court, Kathryn was neglectful of her kids, allowing them to be in danger.

Thomas also accused Kathryn of causing their son, Saint, to have fetal alcohol syndrome.

(For the record, previous court testimony accused Thomas of supplying her with wine while she was pregnant)

All of this combined with alleged recent reckless placement of cocaine near her kids, he argued, made her unfit.

Because aspects of the court record were sealed, we do not know what finally swayed the court.

However, they sided with Thomas, who has full custody of both kids.

It is difficult to imagine the accused rapist, who plead guilty to assaulting their former nanny, as the more suitable parent.
