As recently as last year, Teen Mom 2 fans were complaining that Kailyn Lowry’s storylines just weren’t interesting enough.
And to be fair, they may have had a point.
Kail was on top of the world at the time, and great success doesn’t always make for compelling reality television.
But after a season in which her biggest drama involved picking out tiles for her kitchen remodeling project, Lowry has definitely come crashing back to earth.
These days, in addition to her usual beefs with her baby daddies, Kail is suing Briana DeJesus for defamation of character.
She’s also feuding with former ally and podcast co-host Vee Torres.
Lowry explained this latest drama on Tuesday’s episode during with a phone call with co-star and former bestie Leah Messer.
(Yes, we say “former bestie” because Kailyn is feuding with Leah these days, too! Guess she really took those complaints about her boring storyling to heart!)
“I’m still getting used to having cameras around again and on top of that, I just found out something about Vee that’s really upsetting,” Kail explained in a voiceover.
“We still have our podcast together, but I’m not sure what’s gonna happen now, so I want some advice from Leah.”
“Basically what happened is a couple months ago, [her other ex Javi Marroquin] and I got into a huge fight and he didn’t want me talking about him on my podcast with Vee and he basically alluded to her being deceitful,” Lowry revealed to Messer.
“So I texted her and Javi in a group text and I said, ‘Whatever it is, lay it all out there.'”
Then, like a private eye narrating her own hardboiled detective fiction, Kail described how the drama unfolded when a duplicitous dame wandered into her office.
“So Vee comes into my office and she’s like, ‘I told Javi about your pregnancy with Lux,'” she told Leah.
“Javi told me that back 4 years ago, Vee hit him up on social media and was like, ‘I’m tired of you looking stupid, I’ll tell you everything, let’s meet up.”
It gets worse:
“She didn’t just leak my pregnancy to him, she told him, which is a complete lie, that my miscarriage that I had with him may not have been his,” Lowry continued.
“But I’ve never cheated on him and that was a planned pregnancy, so for her to place doubt in his mind, that, to me, that part was unforgivable because up until this day Javi will say, ‘I don’t even know if that baby was mine.'”
Needless to say, this is more than your typical reality show gossip-y back-biting.
Vee telling Javi that the kid might not have been his is a seriously low blow, and the the situation is made worse by the fact that Lowry had previously thought of Torres as one of her closest friends.
At that point, Leah asked Kail if she planned to continue hosting a podcast with Vee.
“I genuinely don’t know,” came Kail’s pained response.
Obviously, it’s possible that these two will patch things up, but if we had to guess, we’d say that that’s the end of the “Baby Mamas, No Drama” “podcast.
And ironically, it was killed by drama!
Teen Mom 2 is all set to run it back on MTV.
And, appropriately enough, Javi Marroquin appears all set to run it back with Kailyn Lowry as well.
In anticipation of the March 8 Season 11 premiere of this beloved franchise, producers have dropped a revealing, minute-long trailer.
As you can see on this page, the footage hones in on a number of complex and sensitive romantic entanglement involving a variety of cast members — but nearly every loyal fan will be most interested in what Javi and Kailyn have to say.
At one point, we see the former spouses sitting across from each other, right before Marroquin expresses rather strong and obvious interest in rekindling their long-ago love.
“Would you be open to getting back into a relationship?” he asks the mother of his first son.
Kaitlyn doesn’t respond on camera, but later someone offscreen that Javi “wants to get married again.”
It’s important to remember, of course, that these episodes were filmed awhile back.
Approximately two months ago, there was talk that Javi and Kailyn were back together, but let’s be frank here, shall we?
There’s been talk of Javi and Kailyn getting back together almost since they divorced.
The former flames have been on decent terms for a long time now, and Javi almost definitely cheated on his second baby mama, Lauren Comeau, with Kailyn at some point.
Last month, though, on an episode of her Baby Mamas No Drama podcast, Kailyn said she would “never be friends” again with Marroquin.
“I’m in therapy to talk about how to not be his friend,” Kailyn explained at the time to listeners, adding that she had probably gotten to close to him at the end of 2021 and at the outset of 2022.
The goal now, Kailyn continued, was to learn how one can “co-parent civilly and not be best friends.
“I think being best friends is super toxic.”
Elsewhere in this same trailer, Leah Messer sits down on a swing for a conversation with her new boyfriend, Jaylan Mobley.
“I’ve never wanted to be in a long-distance relationship,” she tells Mobley.
Things aren’t exactly perfect for Ashley Jones, either, as a loved one advises her to divorce her new husband Bar Smith, although he wants to “salvage [his] relationship.”
Might it be too late, however?
“When I decipher what I’m going to do, I will let everybody around me know,” Ashley mysteriously says to some of those closest to her in the video.

Earlier this year, there was speculation (once again) that Kailyn Lowry was back with Javi Marroquin.
The exes have had considerable ups and downs over the years.
They’ve been lovers, they’ve been effective co-parents. they’ve been friends.
Now, Kailyn says, they will never be friends again. She’s even seeing a therapist to keep from backsliding.

That will be awkward, considering that they share a child … and considering that she just announced this to the entire world.
Kailyn and Javi have enjoyed a solid friendship and co-parenting relationship.
They also had a business partnership going for them.
That was before things fell apart last month.
The bad news is that they are no longer getting along.
The good news is that the rest of us will no longer have to see the at times excessively horny social media posts about each other.

“I’m never going to be his friend again,” Kailyn declared. “No, I’m really not.”
She revealed: “I’m going to therapy to specifically not be friends with him.”
Kailyn continues: “Like, that’s what I’m working on right now.”
“I’m in therapy to talk about how to not be his friend,” Kailyn detailed.
“But to co-parent civilly,” she continued, “and not be best friends.”
Kailyn then expressed: “I think being best friends is super toxic.”
Just weeks ago, Kailyn was sharing little clips of her cuddling with Javi on the couch.
Sometimes, co-parents who are exes but also get along as friends will do this.
For that matter, purely platonic friends who have never and will never have sex will also do this.
“You post stuff as if it’s humorous,” Javi publicly scolded Kail. “Do not post me.”
He continued: “I already asked you to stop posting me. Period.”
In the same public comment that anyone could see, Javi asked Kailyn to “Respect that.”
Kailyn also touched upon another … complicated part of her family.
Kailyn of course has four children with three different baby daddies.

Kailyn’s four kids have more than just each other as siblings, however.
Vivi is a half-sister to Isaac. Eli is a half-brother to Lincoln.
CJ is Chris Lopez’s new son, and has both Lux and Creed as half-siblings.
“We should try to get all the kids together for a picture,” Kailyn expressed later on the podcast.
It would, she admitted, have to wait until she and Javi were getting along better.
She also admitted that Lincoln sees Vivi as a sister despite no actual genetic overlap, since she is his brother’s sister. That makes sense.
Kailyn knows that most of her desire for a big array of the siblings is possible.
The trickiest of the bunch, however, would be trying to include baby CJ.
Chris, who plays twisted mind games with Kail using their kids as pawns and once photographed himself burning her book, is less coooperative.
“We could at least get six of them together,” Kailyn suggested.
She added that they could potentially photoshop CJ into the picture to make it complete.
If needed, she added, they could potentially do the same to include Eli of Javi wasn’t feeling like playing along.
This is where Vee (who is Vivi’s mom) kind of balked at the idea.
She doesn’t see all of the kids as “siblings” … not enough to include CJ in the mix, anyway.
“It’s just weird to me because I feel like Vivi is never going to meet [Chris’ son],” Vee explained.
“It’s different for you, since we’re close and stuff, she knows your kids,” Vee told Kailyn.
“But outside of yours,” she explained, “I don’t think she’s going to ever know them.”
Kailyn agreed to use photoshop for Eli and CJ instead of trying to get them into the same photo as Vivi.
In the years since Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin got divorced, the exes have maintained a unique and rather mysterious relationship.
Kail and Javi have a son together, of course, so it would be impossible for them to completely cut ties.
But anyone who’s been watching these two closely knows that there’s a lot more going on here than just civil co-parenting.
The latest round of speculation began back in late 2020, when Lowry revealed that Marroquin tried to have sex with her in a gas station parking lot.
This was a problem — and not only because gas station parking lots are not the most romantic environments.
At the time of this rejected overture, Javi was still engaged to Lauren Comeau.
Not surprisingly, she kicked him to the curb shortly after Kail opened up about Javi’s sleazy ways on an episode of Teen Mom 2.
In the months that followed, fans speculated that Kail and Javi were hooking up on the down-low.
The rumors intensified after Chris Lopez had a second child with a mystery baby mama.
This news shouldn’t have had any impact on the Kail-Javi situation, but many believed that after getting burned by Lopez yet again, Lowry had sought solace in hooking up with Marroquin.
Obviously, none of this is iron-clad proof that Kail and Javi are enjoying some ex sex.
But it’s interesting that these two no longer seem interested in squashing the rumors about their relationship.
In fact, these days, they’re adding fuel to the fire with collaborative TikTok posts.
In their latest, the co-stars mouth dialogue from The Vampire Diaries.
“She’s a woman. There’s no way she could stab three grown men,” Javi “says.”
“That’s a bit sexist,” Kail lip-synced.
“A woman could easily kill a man with the right motivation.”
As this was going on Javi threw a “dart” that was actually a makeup brush at Kail, who effortlessly caught it (with the aid of trick camera work.)
Fans ate the clip up, and they were quick to speculate that there’s more going on her than mere platonic friendship.
“I just can’t believe Javi actually did this with you lol he’s probably looking over his shoulder now,” one commenter wrote.
“3 grown men or 3 baby daddies,” Kail replied with a bunch of laughing emojis.
“What did I miss?” one fan asked, according to UK tabloid The Sun.
“Back together or just nicely co-parentiny [sic]? I’m here for either!”
“I’m waiting for these two to get back together,” another person wrote.
“Kail and Javi tho, I think they’re soulmates!” a third chimed in.
This is not the first time in recent weeks that Kail and Javi have hinted that they’re on very friendly terms with one another.
In a clip that was quickly deleted last month, the two of them could be seen kayaking together.
Around that same time, Kail gave Javi a shout-out for his 29th birthday.
“Can’t stand you but love doing football & parenting & football with you. Happy birthday J!” she wrote.
Obviously, the post wasn’t exactly gushing with affection, but these two have always enjoyed being sarcastic and joking around together.
And it looks more and more like they might be doing a lot of other things together, as well!
