Leah McSweeney Wars with Ramona Singer: DON’T Tell People I’m Bipolar!

Last week, Ramona Singer flipped out and threatened to quit The Real Housewives after Leah McSweeney had the gall to … dance at a party.

Now, Leah is putting Ramona on blast, calling her “despicable” for telling everyone that she has bipolar disorder.

Before we get into the dispute over what Ramona was saying about Leah behind her back …

… Let’s cover what Leah said right to Ramona’s face.

Leah is not someone whom you want to ignore, clearly.

Ramona sat down with Sonja Morgan for like a mini-intervention, discussing her behavior.

Sonja had been upset before attending Ramona’s party, but was clearly feeling no pain as she danced during the festivities.

Unfortunately, she danced on top uf and broke a mirror as the night went on. Ramona was worried.

As all of this is happening, Ramona is not even looking at Leah, who pours herself a glass of Pellegrino.

But Leah points out that she has seen, firsthand, that Ramona has a “nasty side.”

As she notes, it’s often less about what Ramona says than about what she does not say — or the people to whom she does not speak.

Leah laments that she is “being ignored” by Ramona in this moment, as the latter does not even acknowledge that she is in the room.

“Acting like you’re invisible is the worst thing you can do to someone,” Leah opines in her confessional.

Is that a little hyperbolic? Sure. But we can understand the feeling.

At this point, Leah McSweeney reaches a level of confrontational that I, personally, have only ever reached in my literal dreams.

“Ramona is a terrible person,” Leah announces, standing just feet away from Ramona but addressing Sonja. “And everybody knows it.

Leah accuses: “She’s a bitch, she doesn’t support women, and she’s phony.”

“And she singles me out,” Leah notes.

“You’re one of her best friends,” Leah points out to Sonja, “and she treats you like s–t.”

“And that’s Ramona,” she concludes, adding, “and I’m leaving.” And so she does.

Leah sits down with Dorinda in a later scene, which we have also included in this post.

Dorinda notes that Leah is clearly upset about more than just Ramona’s dance-shaming at the party.

Though Ramona’s behavior at the party was still bizarre and hurtful.

Leah does acknowledge that Ramona has been claiming that she flashed her vagina at people at the party … which she calls a “demeaning” lie.

At this point, Leah says that her real issue is that Ramona crossed a line by gossiping about her mental health.

She tells Dorinda that Ramona spoke to Sonja, and that Sonja passed it on to her.

“Right before the trip to Mexico, Sonja called me

“And she kind of let it slip out that Ramona was gossiping about me having bipolar disorder”

“Which is repulsive as f–k”

“I was diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder on my 30th birthday”

“And really dedicated the last 7 years of my life to getting it under control”

“And to getting myself in a good place”

Additionally, Leah details that she is not on any kind of medication to treat her bipolar disorder.

Which means that Ramona’s concern-trolling is just that — there’s nothing to “interact” with alcohol (though Leah is currently sober).

Leah has not discussed this with any of the Housewives, leading her to believe that Ramona did some digging into her — which she finds to be “despicable.”

Ramona Singer Flips Out at Leah McSweeney, Threatens to QUIT RHONY!

Our favorite accidental alcoholism documentary, The Real Housewives of New York City, went wild this week for Ramona Singer’s birthday party.

Everyone was having fun … except for Ramona, who seemed poised to flip out at Leah. When she did, she threatened to quit the show.

Apparently, Ramona’s birthday party had a secret Footloose theme, because she did not like dancing.

Actually, we don’t remember her taking an issue with anyone else’s dancing. Not Dorinda’s, not Elyse’s, and not even Sonja’s.

But Leah? When Ramona saw her dancing with Luann, you’d think that she had stripped naked and started a food fight.

Actually, speaking of Leah and “naked,” Ramona’s first response upon seeing Leah — when she spoke to her — was to examine her dress.

Like an overly controlling mother policing what her teenage daughter wears on a date, Ramona looked her up and down.

The dress had a liner, folks. It was form fitting and nice looking but Leah did not have her whole p–sy out, despite Ramona’s suspicions.

At first, Ramona’s party goes as she expects. It’s 100 rich women in a large room.

Leah acknowledges that the room looks like the beginning of MILF porn. We will take her word for it.

Ladies chat among themselves and have their photos taken.

It is worth noting that, while some of the Housewives are being careful about not drinking, others — like Dorinda and Sonja — are showing less restraint.

Sonja, in particular, begins dancing by herself and honestly? We’re living for that energy of hers.

Also, Sonja’s drunken dancing turns out to be a bit of a Chekhov’s Gun fo the evening.

Leah doesn’t have to be smashed to have a good time.

Approaching Luann, who also knows how to party (even without alcohol), she begins to give Luann a bit of a lapdance.

Luann throws back her head and laughs in delight. The best part of dancing while you’re sitting down is that you still get to sit, so she’s having a great time.

Not one to be left out of the fun (this time), Dorinda comes up and very quickly joins in the dance.

The dance is a little raunchy, but that’s how like two-thirds of damce moves are.

Compared to Ramona’s reaction later, you’d think that Leah were tribbing with her fellow ladies. They’re just dancing, fully clothed.

Leah’s skirt does ride up — something that Ramona notices, to her horror.

Folks, Leah is a human being who is fortunate enough to have all four of her natural limbs.

It’s human legs. It’s not like she just got vajazzled and is showing it to everyone.

Anyway, Ramona spies them from across the room.

She missed her chance to chastize Leah earlier, on the grounds that she couldn’t technically find anything wrong with Leah’s outfit.

Now, she springs into action, pulling Leah away from the group by her arm and tugging her skirt down to cover her (gasp) thighs.

This bananas behavior does not go unnoticed.

Leah’s reassurances that they’re just dancing (and reminders that she’s not the only one dancing) fall on deaf ears with Ramona.

So Dorinda chimes in, reminding her that they’re just having fun and that there’s nothing wrong whatsoever.

In her confessional, Dorinda notes that Leah can “do no right” in Ramona’s eyes.

Ramona has clearly just been waiting for an excuse to give her a hard time about living her life and being a person.

Dorinda then does a great impression of Ramona’s uptight response to a little harmless dancing, as you can see in the video that we included.

Leah tries to explain to Ramona that she hasn’t done anything wrong.

In fact, despite the weird and hostile circumstances, we’re glad that this went down.

The image below could be a very useful meme … more useful once the pandemic ends and going to parties becomes an option again.

Ramona cannot let it go, even when Leah tells her how ridiculous she is being.

Normally we think of her as a bit of a herbo (an affectionate term for a woman who is both cute and dumb; a female himbo)

She harps on the fact that Leah was dancing like a “stripper.” What’s the problem with that?

At this point, Ramona goes Full Karen and demands to speak with the manager … ahem, the producers.

She repeatedly demands that they “shut it down,” adamantly insisting that they stop filming.

If they don’t, Ramona vows, why, she’ll quit the show on the spot!

This is when that Chekhov’s Gun that we pointed out to you gets fired.

As if to drive home Ramona’s double standard where Leah is always the bad guy in her mind, Sonja steps onto a table and begins dancing.

No, sorry, she jumps onto a table and then begins dnacing on a horizontal mirror, which of course cracks and shatters beneath her heels.

“Tune in tonight for Ramona. Watch her get embarrassed by MY ‘bad’ behavior,” Leah teased this week on Instagram. “Yes, you heard it right.”

Leah continued: “the woman who defecates on hotel room floors (and expects others to clean it up), who calls her own friends fat …”

“… And who tries to flex on IG during a pandemic is supposedly embarrassed that I got shitfaced,” Leah concluded. “Please!”

The Real Housewives of New York City is Unrecognizable Without Tinsley Mortimer

This season, Tinsley Mortimer stunned fans by quitting The Real Housewives of New York City. Her own castmates could not believe it.

Bravo has just released a new promo, revealing unprecedented midseason changes in light of Tinsley’s departure.

Tinsley Mortimer walked off of the show, choosing her chance at love over her Apple and the Big Apple itself.

Her midseason departure for Chicago was quite the shake up.

Now, Bravo is giving viewers a glimpse at how different the rest of Season 12 will be, starting with the taglines — changed for the first time in franchise history.

Dorinda Medley announces her new tagline first.

“Like a mint in my mouth, I can be a bit fresh,” she teases.

That’s a fun play on the word fresh — and, given her behavior this season, appropriate.

We say that it is appropriate because Dorinda has gotten dark this season.

While we know that she has a lot going on in her personal life, she has seemed like a season villain.

Perhaps we’ll see her antagonistic streak come to an end … or maybe she has scarcely begun.

Up next is Sonja Morgan.

“I’m no one’s arm candy,” she quips, “I’m the whole bowl of sugar.”

That is a genuinely good line, actually.

It is also very fitting, because Sonja had a mini-meltdown earlier this season.

As viewers may recall, she was outraged at the suggestion that she was ever her former husband’s trophy wife.

Rather, she very loudly emphasized, they were partners.

Then comes Ramona Singer, who has had drama both on and off screen this season.

“So what if I’m self-involved, who else should I be involved with?” she asks.

That’s a little mouthy, but sure.

RHONY‘s most prominent herbo has seemingly had tunnel vision in recent months when it comes to nationwide protests.

This has led her into conflict with fans and also with one castmate in particular.

It has fallen on Leah’s youthful shoulders to set Ramona straight when it comes to the importance of Black Lives Matter.

Leah McSweeney is appropriately up next.

“I’ll say sorry for what I’ve done but never for who I am,” Leah declares.

That’s a great motto by which to live, actually.

It is a fitting saying for Leah, who had a troubled past but is now a wise, relatable woman.

She is a newcomer but has been widely praised by viewers as a fresh voice of reason on the show.

But she’s not so reasonable that she hasn’t stripped naked and yeeted some tiki torches like javelins.

Speaking of drunken mistakes, next up is the erstwhile Countess.

Luann de Lesseps announces: “I rise above the drama and won’t settle for the lower level.”

Another extra wordy one, but at least lower level is alliterative, Luann.

Luann has had her struggles with alcohol … struggles that she now says are behind her.

We mention this because we suspect that at some point in the not-so-distant future, she and Leah may have a “disagreement.”

Why? Because Leah just reached a milestone in her sobriety journey.

“It’s been a trippy 90 Days,” Leah captioned this photo as she shared it on Instagram this week.

No, she’s not part of 90 Day Fiance. Rather, she is revealing that she received her three month chip for remaining sober.

That is an exciting milestone for her — one that may clearly change her behavior when she (hopefully) films for Season 13.

Leah was not the only one having fun at the nude earlier this season.

But she was noticeably wild while under the influence.

She also recovered much better than some of her castmates did the next day, and repaid her host by cleaning the kitchen.

Housewives don’t have to be drunk to be entertaining.

Leah clearly chose the pandemic lockdown as a time to become sober — for many, it was difficult to safely continue drinking.

We applaud her efforts and wish her the best on whatever path she continues to choose for herself.
