By now, we have all read the wild reports that Tayshia Adams has replaced Clare Crawley after the latter fell in love with Dale Moss and quit the show.
Now, people are wondering if Clare and Dale hit it off so quickly on The Bachelorette because they secretly knew each other beforehand.
According to Life & Style's insider, Clare and Dale haven't spelled out when they knew that it was love.
"The couple won’t say exactly when cupid struck," the source characterizes.
This has led people to speculate a great deal.
"People are wondering if it was love at first sight," the insider explains.
This could have happened, of course, even in the short time since filming began.
Per the source, people wonder if they fell in love instantly "when she and Dale met up in Palm Springs two weeks ago."
Stranger things have happened, obviously.
Sometimes, two people lock eyes and have instant chemistry.
But we have to imagine that fans, production, and maybe even higher ups are all asking the same question: did Clare and Dale fall in love on the show, or just reconnect?
Last week, a wild report came out announcing that Clare wanted to quit her role as leading lady just weeks into her season.
Why? Because she had already fallen in love with one of the contestants.
That lucky suitor was reportedly Dale Moss.
According to the reports, producers and crew felt “blindsided” when Clare suddenly stalled.
The report said that she “refused to come out of her room” to film ... because she had already fallen in love.
Allegedly, “She told producers she no longer wanted to participate in the show."
“Producers are scrambling to figure out what to do,” the insider reported.
The source characterized: “They are frantic trying to pick up the pieces without having to start over completely.”
Remember, this season was already extra complicated -- what with quarantining and testing while the COVID-19 pandemic rages.
According to reports, the solution is for Tayshia to pick up where Clare left off.
Tayshia will apparently have a reduced dating pool, having Clare's leftovers but not any of the men whom Clare had already excluded.
This isn't exactly how anyone had imagined the franchise getting its second-ever Black Bachelorette, but it's still an important milestone.
“Execs hope the guys will still want to participate” with the sudden shift in the season, the insider said.
They're using this solution because “it took them time to test them all for COVID and they’ve already been quarantined at the resort for 14 days.”
That would be a lot of work to do with a brand new cast, especially for only a fraction of a season.
Suffice it to say that this is unprecedented.
Even Colton Underwood's fence-jumping and his turning down of fantasy suites was a far cry from straight-up quitting the season.
But assuming that Tayshia's season is really the plan and it works out, this could make for amazing television.
Now what could possibly have been so important that Clare could potentially be in breach of contract?
Aside, we mean, from Dale's obvious handsomeness and how much of his chest is plainly visible through any shirt that he wears?
Well, he is a 31-year-old athlete who is originally from South Dakota.
Even as a high school student at Brandon Valley High, he played both basketball and football.
On top of that, he ran track and field.
At San Diego State University, he played basketball for the first few years and then played football his senior year.
Brandon Valley High School, he dabbled in basketball, football as well as track and field. He played basketball at San Diego State University for the first few years of college and then transitioned to football in his senior year, his school bio reveals.
His talents as a wide receiver were recognized by the National Football League. The heartthrob was signed by the Green Bay Packers as a free agent in 2012, and he also played on the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
His last-minute switch to football showcased his talents to the NFL.
Dale was signed as a free agent by a team whose name even I recognize, The Green Bay Packers, in 2012.
He also played for the Chicago Bears and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Dale currently lives in New York, where he works as a model, philanthropist, host, and as aSpecial Olympics global ambassador.
He has a passion for connecting to people and their personal stories.
In other words, the dude is a total catch beyond his obvious hotness.
That said, we have yet to see confirmation that all that reportedly went down behind the scenes really happened as described.
For example, fireworks that were scheduled to go off during one of Clare's dates still went off as planned.
Was the light show for Clare's benefit ... or was Tayshia already on a date? Did production somehow plan for this? We have so many questions.
