You've gotta give Brandi Glanville some credit.
Perhaps no reality star in the history of the genre has had more reason to step away from the spotlight and more opportunities to do so ... and yet, she persists.
And Brandi's not content to cling to the bottom rung of the relevancy ladder, mind you.
No, she's willing to do whatever it takes to claw her way back up to D-list status.
Case in point, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has apparently been spreading a rumor that she hooked up with one of the show's current castmates, Denise Richards.
Not only that, Glanville has reportedly been claiming that Richards has an open marriage, and the two of them had an affair that carried on for several months.
“It isn’t true,” a publicist for Richards told People magazine this week.
“What really happened with Brandi and Denise will play out on the season. There is a lot of she said, she said going on. But it’s going to be very dramatic.”
Glanville still appears on the show as a "friend of the Housewives," but she's reportedly desperate to regain her full-time status.
And it seems she's decided the best way to do that is take down one of the show's current cast members.
Maybe she decided Denise is the most vulnerable, or perhaps she just drew names out of a hat.
Whatever the case, Richards is currently in Glanville's crosshairs.
The "she said-she said" situation helps to explain Brandi's threat to destroy Richards, which she issued on New Year's Eve.
"I just got 'Denised,'" Brandi wrote.
"Seriously b--ch???? You wanna play," Glanville later added.
"1- blackmail is illegal 2- I have no skeletons in my closet (they’re all on the internet) 3- slut shaming is soooooo last year."
Yeah, it's still unclear exactly what's happening here, but thankfully all sources involved say the drama will play out on future episodes of RHOBH.
Camille Grammer also spoke out on Brandi's claim that she and Denise are more than friends, tweeting:
"The story isn’t true. It may play out this season.. I don’t know? She didn’t do anything with BG."
Tossing a little shade Denise's way, Camille went on to claim that the show's main cast members simply aren't delivering the goods, drama-wise:
"I would like to see the diamond holders actually carry a season instead of guests or friends," Grammer wrote.
Looks like Brandi isn't the only one willing to do whatever it takes to regain a full-time spot on the series!
