The Duggars are in crisis mode these days, as Josh Duggar's arrest on child pornography charges has threatened the family fortune and the media empire that Jim Bob has worked so hard to create.

TLC has canceled Counting On, and the younger Duggars have been left scrambling for new forms of employment.

Insiders say the situation has already threatened Jim Bob's authority, as he's no longer in a position where he's able to control his kids by doling out portions of the family's TV earnings.

And now, fans are left wondering how the reality world's largest family will support itself without television.

Jim Bob and Michelle have famously welcomed 19 kids, and while there may have been a time when they struggled to feed so many mouths, the family has been living comfortably from its TLC earnings for the past 13 years.

Even at the height of the family's fame, Jim Bob prided himself on the diversity of his business interests.

These days, the strength of his portfolio is being put to the test, as his side projects are now his family's sole means of support.

As longtime Counting On viewers know, Jim Bob employs several of his kids through his used car dealership and his real estate firm that specializes in flipping houses.

Fortunately for him, several of his adult children have already launched businesses of their own.

Of course, when they first went into business for themselves, they likely did so under the impression that they would have to time to build their businesses slowly.

Now, however, that's a luxury that they no longer have -- which is a problem, as several of these projects are still in their infancy.

Take Jana Duggar, for example:

The 31-year-old -- who is currently being courted by Stephen Wissmann -- owns several acres of commercial real estate near her family's home in northwest Arkansas.

She owns the land, and she's built a website to advertise that it's available for local businesses, but that's about as far as things have gone.

“Welcome to Arbor Acres! We are passionate about finding beauty in our surroundings, gathering people together, and all things creative," the site reads.

“We hope this becomes one of your favorite destinations for ideas that make you excited about life and all the good it has to offer! Stay tuned."

Needless to say, it sounds like it will be quite some time before Jana begins to turn a profit on her investment.

As for the rest of the family:

John-David Duggar and his wife Abbie Burnett both have their pilot licenses, and they've reportedly been earning money by renting out their services along with use of the family plane.

(Yes, the Duggars own a freakin' plane.)

Jana's twin brother also owns several acres of commercial real estate, but he's already transformed that land into RV Park Express, which opened in June 2020.

Abbie is also an RN, so they'll be just fine.

Meanwhile, Jessa Duggar's husband, Ben Seewald, works as a preacher, but it's unclear if he actually gets paid for his services.

As much as the Duggars love church, real estate seems to be the new family business, as Joseph and Josiah Duggar are also in the house-flipping game, as is Joy-Anna's husband, Austin Forsyth.

Jedidiah Duggar ran for office in 2020, but he was soundly defeated.

However, along with both Joseph and Jeremiah, Jed is a partner at the family firm of Good Neighbor Realty.

Justin Duggar is a house-flipper as well, but he operates out of Amarillo, Texas, where he moved after marrying Claire Spivey.

So the Duggars are not without alternatives -- but they'll definitely be tightening their belts now that they're no longer reality stars
