It started with fist pumping.
It continued with laundry.
And, at nearly all times in between, it included stops at the gym.
Oh, and drinking. There was always a ton of drinking.
We write, of course, about Jersey Shore and the very long and somewhat strange ride that the cast members from this MTV franchise have taken us on.
The show just turned 10 years old and, in celebration, most of the stars jumped on social media to celebrate the milestone.
What did they say? How far have they come? And what comes next for these unique personalities?

1. When Did the Series Premiere?
Back on December 3, 2009. It sparked controversy at the time due to its use of the words "Guido/Guidette," along with its portrayal of Italian-Americans and many allegations of perpetuating stereotypes. There was also scrutiny from locals of the cast who were not residents of the area
2. From Nobodies to... Somebodies
The original starred such characters as: Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Angelina Pivarnick, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Deena Nicole Cortese. It's fairly incredible that, with the exception of Sammi, the group has remained pretty tight.
3. How Very Far They've Come...
Snooki could barely make it through an episode over the first couple seasons without toppling over from inebriation. Now? She's married and has three kids! (But still knows how to get her occasional drink on.)
4. And JWOWW, Too
Jenni has been married and is now in the process of getting a divorce, while she's also the mother of a five-year old and a three-year old.
5. Heck, Even Ronnie Has a Kid!
But he also has the same anger and substance abuse problems, having been to rehab and gotten arrested... while remaining in a very tense and often vicious relationship with baby mama Jen Harley.
6. As for The Situation?
He served eight months in jail for tax evasion and is a married man! Seriously: So very much has changed for so many of these reality stars.
