We'll never look at a Wawa parking lot the same way again!
On this week's episode of Teen Mom 2, Kailyn Lowry accused Javi Marroquin of trying to have sex with her while she was pumping gas at one of the convenience store's fine locations.
This created a problem, as Javi is engaged to Lauren Comeau, who probably didn't enjoy learning that her fiance is out there propositioning his ex as she racks up Wawa Rewards points.
Javi and Lauren no longer appear on TM2, so Kailyn did not address the issue with either of them on camera.
But she claims she issued a public apology to Lauren on Twitter, and she says she spoke with Comeau privately, as well.
"I want to publicly apologize to Lauren in regards to tonight’s episode," Lowry tweeted after the episode.
"She didn’t deserve the humiliation she was put through due to a situation between Javi and me," Kail continued.
"I’ve been in her shoes and I’ve felt that pain, however have never experienced that being exploited on TV," she concluded.
While some fans applauded Lowry for acknowledging that Lauren did not deserve to be dragged into the middle of her dispute with Javi, others chastised the mother of four for making the dispute public in the first place,
"You know when you're being filmed. You knew that would end up in the episode. I call BS on this," one follower replied, according to The Sun.
"I was actually starting to like you… until you did this. You knew that what you said would be aired… you hurt Lauren and Eli trying to hurt Javi," another wrote.
"Whatever the truth is it should've been dealt with in private. They chose not to live their lives on TV like you do. No cool," a third offered.
Despite her apparent good intentions, Kail's tweet about her apology to Lauren seemed to invite more negative feedback than positive.
"At the end of the day she will forever be in Lincs life and throwing these humiliating jabs at her expense will affect the kids down the road," wrote one critic.
"Javi was wrong but Kail is wrong for blabbing to MTV knowing it would be aired publicly, embarrassing Lauren. Who did nothing wrong," another wrote, adding:
"That's f--ked up."
Many pointed out that Kailyn even mentioned Lauren during her televised rant, proving that she had considered the situation from all angles, and decided to go nuclear against Javi anyway.
“You’re going to treat me like this … oh is that why you tried to f--k me on Tuesday? In the Wawa parking lot, while your girlfriend is home with your son," Lowry said at the time.
“He pulled into the Wawa parking lot while I was getting gas and was like ‘Hey what’s up?’ then he opened the door and was like, ‘I wanna f*** you, plain and simple,'" she continued.
"I said 'Bye Javi' … I have all the texts of him trying to meet up.”
Viewers claimed that the texts between Kail and Javi indicate that she was open to meeting up -- but it's important to remember that at the end of the day, she's not the one who's in a relationship.
So could she have handled the situation a bit more delicately? Absolutely.
But at the end of the day, it's not Kail's responsibility to help Javi hide his infidelities.
