The Duggar Family is well known for forcing its member to follow a set of rather draconian rules.
To wit:
But these rules don't merely apply to dating and/or courting.
They also apply to how a woman ought to give birth, which is where Lauren and Josiah Duggar enter the picture.
This semi-famous couple broke some enormous news on Monday evening, telling the world that they have become parents for the very first time.
“After a long and difficult labor, our girl arrived,” the twosome revealed to Us Weekly, including with this confirmation a photo of their precious newborn.
In a follow-up Instagram post, Josiah and Lauren provided even more details, namely their child's name... birthday... and measurements at birth.
This is what they wrote:
Look who’s here! Bella Milagro Duggar was born November 8th, 2019 at 4:24 pm, weighing 6lbs 5oz and 18.5 inches long. Our hearts are so full!
We are so thankful for God blessings us with such a healthy baby girl.
Amazing, right? A cause to celebrate and cheer over, right?
We'd say so.
But some Duggar Family observers out there have analyzed the couple's statements and asked a seemingly pertinent question:
Did Lauren give birth at home? Or in a hospital?
The photo above of little Bella certainly looks like she's in a hospital bed, doesn't it?
And then consider the one below, in which Josiah and Lauren appear to be kissing in another hospital bed and in which Lauren is most definitely hooked up to an IV.
This shouldn't be the focus of anyone at all right now, of course, considering Lauren suffered a miscarriage last year and this rainbow baby is nothing but a blessing.
But the Duggar do typically require their women -- who they really just view as property -- to give birth at home, making us wonder what Jim Bob and Michelle are thinking right now.
Might this explain why they haven't yet congratulated the couple on its adorable addition?
“After a long and difficult labor, our girl arrived,” the Counting On added to Us Weekly, concluding this week:
"When we finally got to see and hold our precious Bella Milagro all the pain instantly went away.
"We can’t believe she is ours -- she is so perfect! She definitely has lived up to her name which means, ‘beautiful miracle.’ Today we are basking in God’s goodness!"
