Leah Messer to Jeremy Calvert and Corey Simms: Y’all Better Stop Fighting! You’re Gonna Leave My Kids Without Fathers!

Well, a new season of Teen Mom 2 is almost upon us.

In the past, of course, this meant bracing ourselves for whatever tidal wave of Jenelle idiocy was headed our way.

This year, however, we're in for another mercifully Jenelle-free affair.

And it seems an unlikely heir has emerged as the show's newest drama queen.

Yes, Leah Messer has been making tabloid headlines for several months now, and much of the attention has to do with Messer's tell-all memoir.

The book contains many shocking admissions about Leah's youth that range from the jaw-dropping -- Leah was a member of a fight club in her youth -- to open secrets that are just now being confirmed.

Included in that latter category is Leah's opioid addiction, which she's finally admitting to after years of denial.

The book is part of Leah's effort to make amends and turn things around, so as not to set a bad example for her daughters.

But as this season is sure to remind us, even when she's on hr best behavior, Leah is a magnet for drama and controversy.

It seems much of Ms. Messer's storyline this season will center around the ongoing conflict between her two baby daddies, Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert.

As you may recall, the two clashed at last year's Teen Mom 2 reunion, as Jeremy accused Corey of failing to be there for his daughter Ali, who suffers from muscular dystrophy.

Leah & Jeremy: Together Again

"I don't give a f--k if its a two minute appointment, at least show your presence for your child," Calvert ranted.

"Corey has a f--king great schedule, he works at home and he can take off whenever the f--k he wants to."

Leah later said that what could have been an utterly disastrous encounter actually led to Simms taking more of an interest in his daughter's life and health issues.

"Although it was like, 'Oh my gosh, why is this happening, we don't need this drama,' at the same time, it also opened up a line of communication that I have never had with Corey," Messer said.

"Even as far as past stuff and everything, so even though it was a little bit of drama at first, it all led us to a much better place and a much better place communicating more effectively."

And while the baby daddies steer clear of each other these days, it seems they're very far from burying the hatchet.

"And as far as Jeremy and Corey go, they never talk. They don't even talk and we won't be having [an in-person] reunion this year, so that's a good thing in my opinion," Leah continued.

"We don't need a reunion, we'll do it virtually, because Corey was posting on his Twitter, like, 'I'm gonna be at this next reunion,' and I’m like, 'Oh please don't.'"

That's probably for the best, as Corey was left fuming after his encounter with Jeremy.

"The girls never once came to me about any issues of such," he later tweeted.

"And for Mr. Dad of the year to run his mouth about not going to doctors appointments.. how many have you been to there big guy??"

But as angry as he was at the time, it seems Corey has been a much more consistent presence at his daughter's appointments in recent months.

Leah Messer Is Struggling

"Her opinion is the only opinion that matters when it comes down to who she wants at her appointments and who she feels more comfortable at her appointments," Leah said of Ali.

"Definitely communication has been better with her being able to communicate that and also to learn that she's not going to hurt either parents' feelings by saying something," she added.

"Our feelings don't matter when it comes down to your health and your well-being."

She concluded her comments by revealing that she's grateful to Jeremy for saying what she couldn't:

"I'm definitely grateful that it opened that line of communication up not just for me and her father but for her and her father," Messer gushed.

Sounds like we're in for yet another Leah-Jeremy reconciliation!
