Even though Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia enjoy being co-leads, there are some downsides.
Namely … that while they’re choosing among suitors, those suitors are choosing between them.
It’s not just that Logan told Rachel that he’d rather shoot his shot with Gabby. That, at least, was honest.
The fact is, Logan strung Rachel along, extracted a rose from her, and then moved on to Gabby.
On this week’s The Bachelorette, Rachel’s group date plans went up in smoke.
She had already invited Logan to be part of it.
Instead, he realized that it was finally time to come clean to her.
“I originally thought that I was going to receive the rose from Gabby,” Logan confessed to her.
“And it’s been hard for me, moving forward, to kind of forget about that connection,” he admitted.
Logan continued: “When I read that date card today.”
He went on: “I felt that everyone else on that card was sure that you were going to be someone who they did end up with at the end of this.”
Logan then admitted: “while I still had reservations and feelings for Gabby.”
He confided: “And that being said, I can’t go today.”
That was honest … finally. And it was painful.
“If that’s where your heart is, I appreciate you telling me,” Rachel told Logan.
She did tell him: “I just wish it would’ve been earlier.” You know, before she gave him a rose.
Rachel had more to say to the cameras.
She expressed: “I was really hopeful that things could pick up with Logan and I.”
Unfortunately, Logan’s confession kind of killed the mood when it came to her group date plans.
“I feel bad that they have to keep dealing with this week after week,” Rachel told them.
“But I’m not ready right now to go on a group date,” she admitted, “and act like I don’t feel like a huge loser.”
Meanwhile, Logan then needed to find a way to tell Gabby … and just hope that she’d keep him around.
“This morning, I had a conversation with Rachel and I told her that I needed to step away from dating her,” Logan told her.
Gabby then informed Logan of how significant this was.
She told him that he was “the only one that both of us felt like we could comfortably say, ‘I’m into him.'”
“This is my worst nightmare on the outside of things,” Gabby then expressed.
“But it’s not you,” she emphasized. “I just want to always, always, always put my friends first.”
Gabby then added: “And I am and I have been interested in you.”
Her next stop was to check on Rachel, and get permission to continue to date Logan.
“At the end of the day, I’m going to support her, no matter what,” Rachel told the camera.
She then admitted: “But I really hope Gabby sends him home.”
Dates went on, even if plans had changed, and finally Rachel apologized to her dudes.
“I want to apologize to everyone who lost time this week,” she said, “but I’m so excited to have another night with all of you.”
Rachel emphasized: “And I am so hopeful for what’s to come.”
Meanwhile, Gabby told her men that “with great risk comes great reward.”
Rachel’s roses went to Zach, Tyler, and Ethan.
Gabby’s went to Jason, Spencer, Erich, and even to Logan. She kept Logan but sent home Mario, her first impression rose recipient. Choices.
