Stacey Dash Arrested for Alleged Assault Against Husband

In the 1995 comedy Clueless, Stacey Dash often took exception to the way her boyfriend, Murray, acted.

There was the time he called her "woman," despite being repeatedly warned not to do so.

And, of course, the time he shaved his head at a party and Dash's Dionne openly wondered what she "would do" with her impulsive better half.

Fast forward 24 years, and real life has now imitated art for Dash... in a manner of speaking that reflects this article's desperate need for a captivating segue.

What we're trying to say is that Stacey Dash has been arrested for domestic battery.

According to TMZ and other outlets, the actress was taken into custody on Sunday after getting into a dispute with her relatively new husband, Jeffrey Marty.

The disagreement took place around 7:45 p.m. in an apartment in New Port Richey, at which time Dash reportedly pushed and slapped the lawyer in the face.

Marty called 911 in response to the incident and told authorities his version of what happened when they arrived.

There were allegedly scratches on Marty's arm at the time.

As of this writing, Dash remains in custody; she's being held on $500 bail.

The couple, meanwhile, only just got married last spring in a secret wedding ceremony down in the Sunshine State.

Not much is known about Dash's husband of one year... other than the fact that he's an attorney and may be regretting this exchanging of vows right about it.

The union marks Stacey's fourth marriage.

Dash, for her part, has seen her career mostly spiral downward ever since her breakout role way back in the day in Clueless.

In February of 2016, she was at the center of maybe the most awkward Oscars moment in show history when she was introduced by host Chris Rock as "the new director of our minority outreach program."

You can watch the failed segment HERE.

But it came about because Dash once pushed to end Black History Month.

She also once told Kanye West to go get raped.

In February of 2018, the actress-turned-conservative political commentator filed paperwork to run for a congressional seat in Southern California -- but withdrew her bid a month later, telling Cosmopolitan magazine that holding an elected office would be "detrimental to the health and well being of my family."

"My goal was, and remains, to improve the lives of people who have been forgotten for decades by the Democratic Party," she said at that time.

Now, Dash may want to refocus and change her goal to no longer striking those to whom she is married.

Just a suggestion.
