“It’s been a tough slog, I’m not gonna deny this,” the weatherman said. “It’s been the hardest one yet … and I’ve had my share of surgeries.”
The good news was accompanied by pictures of three smiling faces: that of Roker, his wife, Deborah Roberts, and their daughter, Leila.
“God Bless you all for all the prayers and well wishes for me and my family,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a scenic photo of New York City.
The popular “Today” weatherman, who has been suffering from blood clots in his legs and lungs, was rushed back to hospital the day after Thanksgiving.
The “Today” show weatherman will be replaced by Mario Lopez, who will co-host the event with Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin.
“This is my version of the Thanksgiving Day Parade,” the “Today” anchor told fans. “Getting ready to leave the hospital. Time to blow this taco stand.”
