Ella Johnson: I Never Actually Cheated on Johnny! AND We’re Coming Back on Another Season!

During the 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Season 5 Tell All Part 2, all eyes turned to Ella Johnson.

Ella’s castmates slammed her, taking a harsher view of her alleged “cheating” than Johnny himself did.

After the Tell All aired, Ella revealed that she had not really cheated, confirming what some fans had wondered.

She also announced that viewers of the franchise will see her and Johnny again.

Ella Johnson wraps up the Tell All special

Ella Johnson straight up did not have a great time at the Tell All special, though she did affirm that it was worth it.

Several castmates arrived ready to beef with her, accusing her of cheating on Johnny, her long-distance boyfriend.

This stemmed from Ella’s on-screen confession to Johnny during the season.

Ella Johnson reveals that she slept with a friend

After two years of constant delays and setbacks, Ella had told Johnny that further delays would mean something needing to change — an open relationship.

During a painful, tearful moment, Ella told Johnny that a friend had come over, and that the two had been intimate.

Johnny was hurt by this revelation, and some of her castmates called her out on the Tell All stage.

Ella Johnson and Johnny are still together (Tell All)

Ella and Johnny are still together, the couple reported at the Tell All.

She explained her hookup with the friend.

Not only was she uncertain that Johnny would ever actually come see her, but her love language is touch, and she needed physical affection.

Memphis Smith suggests maybe they shouldn't be together

Of course, Ella was in a room full of people who had been in long-distance relationships, some of whom still were (albeit, they had all met at least once).

Memphis suggested that perhaps Ella should not be in a long-distance relationship.

Sometimes, LDRs lead to extended periods without contact. People should be prepared for that going in.

Ella Johnson f--king owned it

Ella pointed out that she had owned up to her mistake.

She hadn’t tried to hide it from Johnny, and had tearfully confessed it to him over video chat, knowing that she was risking the relationship.

But Kimberly, who had come to the Tell All eager to call out Ella, did just that.

Kimberly Menzies says no one should cheat in LDRs specifically

Declaring that she had no respect for Ella after the incident, Kimberly said that there’s no place for cheating in long-distance relationships.

(Weird that she specified “long distance” … are there relationships where cheating is more appropriate than others? Maybe?)

Ella, who notably had a bone to pick primarily with other women on the cast (and Ben only after he insulted her), said that her heart broke for Johnny.

Johnny wishes he hadn't heard about any of this

Johnny expressed how he wished that he had never heard this news.

He did affirm at the Tell All that this doesn’t mean that he wanted Ella to lie to him, either.

But yes, he was hurt.

Jasmine Pineda - I use dildos, you know?

Jasmine possibly missed what Ella meant when she described her love language being “touch.”

Jasmine recommended “sexy time,” touching herself, or the use of sex toys (advice that Usman echoed).

A colorful, entertaining moment … but needing an orgasm and needing physical affection are not always the same thing.

Jasmine Pineda - was it just a way to put some pressure on him?

Jasmine also asked a question that had been brought up by some fans.

Had Ella cheated … or had she told Johnny that she had cheated in order to make him jealous and encourage him to stop delaying his trip?

As much as Ella might have liked to take back the hookup, she had really slept with her friend.

Shaun Robinson asks if Ella had any other trysts

Shaun spoke to Johnny, who confirmed that he was coming in “one month” — in February — and had bought the ticket.

This set the timeline for the Tell All being filmed in January.

Shaun then asked Ella if there had been any other indescretions since her hookup with her friend. Ella said no.

Ella Johnson explains platonic birthday sleepover

As it turned out, Ella might have been alone on her birthday had a friend not come to see her.

This friend, whom she had met on a dating site some time in the past, actually took a flight to visit her.

What’s more is that he stayed the night — in the guest bedroom.

Johnny asks why she would let him stay at her place for the whole night

Platonic houseguests are an extremely normal thing for most Americans, particularly those who are younger.

Someone flying in to town for one night, after meeting up on a dating site … is a little odd, and Johnny echoed that sentiment.

However, whatever the friend’s intentions, Ella explained that nothing untoward had happened.

Ella Johnson reassured by Johnny - I do not blame you

Ella called up Johnny to ask how things were.

He affirmed that he did not blame her for how uncomfortable the Tell All was.

They are still together, and despite her struggles on stage, Ella shared at the end that she did not regret filming her season.

Ella Johnson is having a hard time

After Part 2 of the Tell All ended, Ella took to Instagram to speak up.

“I was a little disappointed in the tell all cast,” she admitted.

“But,” Ella pointed out, “I respected everyone and did not lash out.”

Ella Johnson IG didn't cheat on Johnny, will return for 90 Day Diaries

“However, I was attacked and unable to state that Johnny and I were in an open relationship,” Ella revealed.

She continued: “Second off we had never even meet so you can be upset and think I cheated. I don’t believe I did and neither did he.”

“Another tid bit the only person’s opinion that matters to me is Johnny,” Ella concluded. “If you want to follow us our journey will continue on 90 Day Diaries. Feel free to tune in.”

Mike Berk is Back with Ximena, Who Doesn’t Love Him on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Tell All (Recap)

90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Season 5 has officially and formally come to an end.

Part 2 of the Tell All special aired on Sunday, picking up right where the Tell All Part 1 left off — with Kimberly emotionally devasted by Usman.

Kimberly receives comfort and sympathy while Usman defends his call to Zara.

Up next, we get into the only couple who couldn’t meet up face-to-face, Ella and Johnny.

Ella defends having slept with a friend, and Johnny reveals that he has a ticket and is coming to see her — for real, this time.

Ben and Mahogany’s conversation ends up changing the mind of one of his closest friends, who now considers Mahogany a “victim.”

The main event is Mike and Ximena, however, and everyone on stage is Team Mike.

Oh yes, they’re back together, and she’s giving him another chance … but Ximena says plainly that she’s not in love with him.

1. Kimberly had stormed out off of the stage

Jamal comforts kimberly menzies
She didn’t yell, she didn’t scream, but she walked off heartbroken after seeing footage of Usman make a very flirty call to his ex, Zara. Outside, this season’s most thirsted-after person, Jamal, comforted his mother as she recovered from that nasty shock.

2. Usman defends himself … sort of

Usman umar at the tell all i can sleep with a woman if i want to
Usman insists that if he wanted to be with Zara, it would be “easy,” which does not go over well. There are all sorts of ways to affirm your love for Kimberly but Usman said too many things and made it messier. (Real talk: he probably also said that the scene was recorded before Kimberly visited and not after, which is a claim that he has made on social media — if he did say this, it was certainly edited out)

3. Usman’s not being thoughtful

Hamza but he should take consideration of kim
Hamza calls him out, reminding him to keep Kimberly’s feelings in mind — whether he’s filming or defending himself.

4. Ella and Johnny

Ella johnson and johnny are still together tell all
These two are still together, but only in the sense of their relationship status — they have not met in person, though Johnny has bought a ticket and promises to be there “soon.”

5. But … SHOULD they still be together?

Memphis smith suggests maybe they shouldnt be together
Memphis asks if Ella, who defends sleeping with her friend because her love language is “touch” and she’s gone years without intimacy due to Johnny’s unavailability, should be in a long-distance relationship at all if her needs aren’t being met.

6. Ella defends herself

Ella johnson f king owned it
She notes that she didn’t hide that she slept with a friend, she “owned” it, meaning that she told Johnny very honestly even though it was a painful moment.

Ella Johnson Slammed by Tell All Castmates: Don’t Cheat! Buy Some Toys!

Even during Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days, Ella got flack from fans.

During one painful moment, she confessed to Johnny that she had slept with a friend.

Ella was in tears, Johnny was hurt, and fans were fuming at Ella and calling her out.

At the Tell All, it was Ella’s castmates’ turn to excoriate her. Some also had some, ahem, advice.

Through this sneak peek clip for Part 2 of the Tell All special, we see Ella Johnson speak up for herself.

“I need it to be known,” she shared, that “my love language is touch.”

“And,” Ella pointed out, “two years is a really long time to have to wait.”

Ella isn’t wrong, and we should all keep in mind that Ella and Johnny didn’t set out to be apart for this long.

If it weren’t for the COVID-19 pandemic, Johnny would either have already come to see her in Idaho … or possibly would have found other excuses.

(We’re not accusing Johnny of anything, but after all of these delays, everyone has to consider the possibilities)

However, Ella is not the only one on stage who was in a long-distance relationship (since they all were).

“Then you shouldn’t be in a long-distance relationship if you’re that vulnerable,” Memphis explains.

“And,” she suggests, “don’t put yourself in that situation.”

“Me and [Hamza], you know, we have been away from each other for a long time, just like you,” Memphis notes.

“You have to do little things like the sexy time stuff to try to like keep that going,” she advises.

Memphis says that it’s important to keep the romance alive “because temptation is a you-know-what.”

Ella explains that there was more going on than just a moment of “temptation,” however.

“You know, for me, I didn’t think that he would come,” she admitted.

“And so,” Ella explained, “I thought it was over.”

“And like yeah, I know I f–ked up, I f–king owned it,” Ella noted, referring to her honest confession.

“Did I not f–king own it?” she asked, getting understandably defensive, affirming: “I owned it.”

Though her honesty is certainly a step up above some of her castmates, nobody was lining up to give Ella a medal, either.

“You’re so defensive right now,” Kimberly Menzies observed.

“But let me tell you something, okay?” she said. “If you’re in an international relationship, you don’t cheat.”

We are desperately curious to hear why Kimberly specified the “international” part, but she wasn’t done.

“I have zero respect for you for that,” Kimberly stated. She has had a beef with Ella since she arrived.

“And you can sit up here and say you have excuses all day,” she went on.

Kimberly continued: “You hurt that man and when I saw that on camera it broke my heart.”

“I’m a super sexual person,” Jasmine Pineda then affirmed. “I love sex.”

She recalled: “The first time I met Gino was after nine months.”

“And,” Jasmine characterized, “I was dying every single day to have sex with him.”

“If you’re, like, touch is so important to you,” Jasmine asked, “why are you gonna be in a long-distance relationship?”

She observed: “Like, I can see that Johnny is actually, like, really hurt.”

“Hey,” Jasmine suggested, “there’s so many other things that Memphis mentioned.”

Jasmine had some advice of her own: “Touch yourself. Use plastic.”

She then announced: “I use dildos, you know?”

“Buy a toy!” Usman Umar then chimed in, recommending the purchase of sex toys. “Buy toys!”

Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre: Are They Still Together Ahead of 90 Day Fiance Season 9?

Last year, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way viewers were not exactly shocked to learn that Ariela and Biniyam are married.

The extremely polarizing couple are returning for 90 Day Fiance Season 9, this time filming in the United States.

But a number of social media hints have suggested that they’ve split since then, and a recent post has followers more convinced than ever.

It wouldn’t be the first time that a couple made it multiple seasons only to break up after getting married. Have they?

Ariela Weinberg celebrated Biniyam Shibre on his birthday this week.

“Happy Birthday to the most adventurous, charismatic, fun, talented, sensitive, and weird dude around… Biniyam Shibre!” she wrote.

“But seriously… you are a great father,” Ari praised.

Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre are together, got their K-1 visa

“You always do your best to make other people around you happy,” Ariela described.

“And,” she expressed, “I appreciate that kindness.”

Referring to their young son, Ariela wrote: “Avi loves you so much.”

Ariela Weinberg IG birthday tribute to Biniyam 2022

“Keep on shining,” Ariela encouraged Biniyam.

“The USA is looking good on you,” she appraised, acknowledging his U.S. residency.

“But you’d fit in anywhere!” Ariela praised.

Biniyam Shibre and Ariela Weinberg part ways temporarily

“Here’s to another wonderful year on this planet,” Ariela cheered.

She concluded: “You are so loved by so many people!”

That’s very sweet … but not everyone is convinced that it’s anything other than a false flag from one co-parent to another.

Biniyam Shibre explains that his bad behavior was due to anxiety

“She never posts pictures with him anymore. Ever,” one commenter observed.

Another speculated that the two might be “separated or divorced.”

Another pierced the possible subtext of Ariela’s tribute, asking “But do YOU love him Ari??” after reading her “impersonal” tribute.

Biniyam Shibre is here in New York (90 Day Fiance S09)

It may sound like people are reading too much into things from one single post, and you’d be right.

But this comes after an extended period of Ariela and Biniyam showing up in separate photos … often on separate continents.

In fact, pics have shown Ari in Ethiopia, while Biniyam has appeared in pics in New York, often hanging out with Ariela’s family.

Biniyam Shibre is in a new world (90 Day Fiance S09)

That much can be explained, as Ariela has apparently been traveling in Ethiopia in light of the country’s unrest.

(Civil unrest can rise and fall; there was a time when their family stayed out of Ethiopia in order to avoid the conflict altogether)

While we may not understand Ariela’s decision to return to the country (or many of her other choices), we can certainly respect her altruism.

Ariela Weinberg returns, no longer wants to talk to Bini's sisters

Honestly, there could be a simpler explanation for the relative ambiguity of Ariela and Biniyam’s social media activity: they are under contract.

Yes, the world knows that they are married — this was all confirmed late last year.

However, marriage doesn’t mean that they won’t break up, so beyond obvious things like birthday tributes, it makes good sense for them to keep fans guessing ahead of Season 9.

Season 9 premieres later this month, marking this couple’s third season in the franchise.

They’re moving on from The Other Way to the flagship 90 Day Fiance series.

And while the trailer showed things looking explosive for them, that is nothing new.

Ariela Weinberg gets splashed (90 Day Fiance S09)

How polarizing are these two?

To cite a personal example, I have been to one large gathering since the pandemic began, it was a wedding, and even there, I found myself in a conversation about Ariela and Biniyam.

Everyone has an opinion on these two, and the “magic” of polarizing stars is that people can watch the same show and come away with totally different stances and opinions.

Biniyam Shibre reunited with Avi, with Ariela Weinberg

Ariela and Biniyam love each other, are connected through their son.

But are also flawed people whose choices are sometimes inexplicable.

They have different relatives, different religions, and different levels of respect for those respective relatives and religions. It’s a lot.

Gino Palazzolo Now Claims He Never Meant to Leak Jasmine Paneda Nudes to Ex

We heard a lot about Gino and Jasmine’s not-so-spicy sex life on Part 1 of the 90 Day Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Tell All.

Things may be cool in the sheets, but on Part 2, we’ll see Gino in the hot seat for leaking Jasmine’s nudes.

Remember how he first denied it altogether, then apologized by saying that it was a stupid mistake, an error in judgment?

Now he’s walking that back, claiming that it was not a mistake, but an accident. Nobody’s buying it.

In this sneak peek clip, Gino Palazzolo presents his new recollection of events on the Tell All stage.

“It wasn’t nude pictures, plural,” he clarifies, insisting that it was only one topless photo.

Several people, including Mike Berk, are visibly astonished at this claim … which is contrary to what Jasmine is saying.

“So, this happened a couple of months after I met Jasmine,” Gino tells his castmates.

He says that this was “because I was excited about meeting Jasmine.”

In the understatement of the week, Gino reminds everyone: “Now my ex, she rubbed me the wrong way when we broke up.”

“And she was saying a lot of stuff to me about her new boyfriend and stuff,” Gino recalls.

“So, what this was was my immaturity,” he acknowledges.

“And trying to get back at her,” Gino continues, summarizing his motive: “Revenge.”

“Now what happened was, I selected a group of pictures on my phone,” Gino claims.

“And one of the pictures I accidentally sent,” he insists, “was a topless photo.”

This could potentially happen, yes, but it’s irresponsible with someone else’s photo, it’s messy to send anything like this to your ex, and it’s very different than past versions of the story.

“And it was one time, and it was meant to be a one-time thing only,” Gino repeats firmly.

The fact that he says it like this … really makes a lot of people wonder what else he’s hiding.

“But,” he claims, “I didn’t send a nude photo on purpose to her.”

“I mean, Gino, you sent at different times three different topless pictures,” Jasmine cites during the same clip.

“No, no. This was one time only,” Gino claims.

“There were three different pictures,” Jasmine reiterates, adding that Gino accompanied each of these photos with text messages.

If you select a bunch of photos and send them en masse, they don’t arrive with text messages between each pic.

(Don’t text mass photos like that — even if it’s your family vacation pics, it’s such a clumsy way to share things unless someone wants them sent that way)

If there were lines of text between each pic, that means that the photos were selected and sent individually … which is not what Gino is claiming.

“So, you’re telling me, Gino, that you made the same mistake three different times by texting three different texts?” Jasmine summarizes.

Shaun Robinson then jumps in, trying to see if Gino is willing to directly call Jasmine is lying instead of just imply it with his denials.

Gino does that thing where he seems to shrink in on himself nervously, but just repeats the same claim again and again.

“And the problem is, Shaun, he never showed me his texts. I never saw it from Gino’s cell phone,” Jasmine laments.

Ella and Mike ask the obvious: if Gino is innocent, why didn’t he exonerate himself by showing Jasmine his original messages, from his phone?

“He deleted it scared, Ella,” Jasmine explains, disappointment in her voice.

Gino palazzolo now claims he never meant to leak jasmine paneda

Aladin Jallali Finds New Love with Wife Maria Talebi After Divorcing Laura

One of the most anticipated couples of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way‘s premiere season turned out to be a disaster.

Laura and Aladin Jallali divorced years ago, thankfully, after broadcasting their toxicity for all to see.

While Laura has been (allegedly) running through various boy toys, Aladin has moved on in a more serious manner.

In fact, he is now married!

Aladin Jallali and Maria Talebi

Aladin Jallali was only with the Canadian-turned-Floridian-turned-Qatari-turned-Ecuadorian Laura Jallali for a short time.

The two were married, but even by the time of the Tell All special, Aladin had filed to divorce her.

Now, Aladin is looking forward to a much happier future with his new wife, Maria Talebi.

It has been a few years, so here is a brief refresher.

Laura and Tunisian-born Aladin connected over Facebook, despite the obvious age gap of over 20 years.

After eight months of extremely flirtatious (and downright thirsty) online romance, Laura flew to Qatar to meet him.

Cameras followed the couple as they met for the first time.

The two grappled with major cultural differences, from simple misunderstandings to long-term compatibility issues.

There were mixed reviews of their “jiggy-jiggy,” the couple’s infamous nickname for sex.

Another obstacle was Laura’s adult son, Liam.

Liam has spent much of his life having to deal with his mother’s poor choices, and this was yet another.

Despite an unkind edit, many viewers later came to understand that Liam was absolutely right to try to discourage his mother, but to no avail.

Laura and Aladin did get married, having a traditional Tunisian wedding.

By late 2019, the couple had split.

And, as we noted, the pair went through an international divorce … but the ugliness did not stop there.

Laura, to put it simply, badmouthed Aladin with a series of inconsistent stories.

Given her track record over the years, some fans have speculated that she may be a compulsive liar.

She was also unable to return to her former home in Florida … because she was never a U.S. citizen, and had resided without documentation for many years.

Laura Jallali and Raul wtf

Unable to return to Florida and seemingly unable or unwilling to start her life over in Canada, Laura was unsure of where to go after things ended with Aladin.

Castmate Evelin Villegas generously suggested that she come to Colombia, helping her find lodgings as a neighbor.

This quickly turned into Laura feuding with Evelin and Corey Rathgeber, allegedly harassing them, badmouthing them, and possibly even dating Raul.

That was a couple of years ago, however.

On a recent episode of 90 Day Diaries, Laura revealed that she is living in London, Ontario, with her son.

That relationship has been strained, she admitted, and she claimed that she “virtually lost everything” following the divorce.

Aladin’s story has been considerably less dramatic.

Though he has obscured Maria’s face (pretty wise for a reality TV alum), he was sure to show off the rings on their fingers.

Though Aladin had his good and bad moments on screen, we are happy for him and Maria and we wish them both a world of happiness.

Usman Umar: I Didn’t Betray Kimberly by Calling Zara! It’s an Editing Trick!

On the 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Season 5 finale, viewers saw Usman call Zara.

Zara is a woman whom he used to date. “Zara” is a Sojaboy song, one that drove a wedge in his relationship with Kimberly.

At the Tell All, Kimberly saw that heartbreaking footage for the first time, and left the stage in tears.

Usman is defending his reputation, claiming that the cruel betrayal that viewers — and Kimberly — watched was an editing trick, nothing more.

Kimberly Menzies breaks down in tears on the Tell All

On Wednesday, April 6, Usman “Sojaboy” Umar took to Instagram to describe how he recalls filming that scene with Zara.

“In season 4 of Before the 90Days everyone watched me and know how truly I’m,” he began.

He is of course referring to his ill-fated romance and marriage with “Baby Girl” Lisa Hamme.

Kimberly Menzies witnesses Usman Umar's call to Zara on the Tell All

“Now am back with @itskimberly90 in season 5,” Usman acknowledged.

“We go up and down but we always fix our problems,” he claimed.

“Yes due to the age gap I was hesitating then,” Usman admitted.

Zara - hi Usman!

“And I don’t think I do anything wrong to care for myself before repeating my passed mistake,” Usman wrote.

“But and the end we make things work between @itskimberly90 and I,” he noted.

Usman went on: “only for me to see and hear that I called Zara after Kimberly left, that was not true.”

Usman Umar sings - Zara my baby yeah

“The call with Zara was 5 days out 21 days after I arrived in Zanzibar,” Usman claimed.

“And I never wanted to do it,” he added.

Usman detailed that “it took me 2 hours to be convinced.”

Usman Umar - I love that lady so much

“Despite the argument b4 making the call,” Usman added, “I blame myself for doing it.”

“But why telling the world that I make the call after Kim left???” he asked.

Usman accused: “That was never fair.”

Usman Umar checks himself in the mirror, tiddies out

“Look at kimberly during the shoot in Zanzibar and the recording on the tell all,” Usman instructed.

He told followers that “you will see the difference.”

Usman added: “I make her that glowing.”

Kimberly Menzies has strong opinions about Ella

“I have been good to that woman,” Usman wrote, “and she will testify that.”

He went on: “for those thinking Kimberly finance my life believe me i make more money than my woman Kim.”

“I wish Mom is alive,” Usman expressed, “she would have tell The World that Usman is a blessings to anyone around him.”

Usman Umar - Kimberly, don't cry

“But since kimberly knows all that,” Usman noted, “I believe that is what matters.”

He added: “I don’t need to say much.”

Usman concluded: “Pls tell my story how it’s don’t edit bcus next time I will not tolerate this “

Usman Umar IG Zara call scene filmed "before" Kimberly arrived

Usman also tagged Sharp Entertainment, expressing his anger and frustration at his portrayal.

Do we know if Usman is telling the truth about when he called Zara? We don’t.

Even if Zara participates in the Tell All, it’s unclear if all of this will come to light — if Usman clarified the timeline on the Tell All stage, it could still have been edited out.

Kimberly Menzies walks backstage at the Tell All

There is, however, clear precedent for the show editing footage to remove context and make cast members look worse than they are.

So many people think that the show is “scripted,” but they are mistaken — believe us, if there were a script, we’d be all over it.

The magic of reality television lies in casting, production, and editing. It sounds like Usman was probably a victim of the second and third.

90 Day Fiance Racism Scandals: Why Wasn’t Mike Berk Fired Like Alina Kasha?

Most of us were not surprised at Caleb and Alina’s absence from the 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Season 5 Tell All.

Months ago, Alina’s old posts resurfaced, involving racist slurs. After outcry from fans, TLC edited out the couple’s storyline.

But Mike Berk was at the Tell All to discuss his relationship with Ximena, even though his old posts are arguably worse in several ways.

Why the double standard? That’s what Alina is asking.

Alina Kasha discusses fairness on YouTube

Alina Kasha, whose real name is Alina Kozhevnikova, apologized after her scandal came to light.

(She initially denied that the posts were hers, but did ultimately issue an apology)

Now, she is wondering why Mike has not done the same … and why he’s not getting even close to as much backlash as she did.

Alina Kasha worries that her secret is being used as an excuse

Last week, just days before Part 1 of the Tell All aired, Alina released a YouTube video titled “It’s Always Bad.”

“When I don’t feel fairness,” she noted, “I can’t keep silent so I felt like I need to address it.”

Alina emphasized that she did not intend to “bash anyone” and that she does not have “any personal issues” with Mike.

Alina Kasha IG n-word caption beard post 2015

Alina acknowledged her own scandal, which came to light in January, much earlier in Season 5.

In posts dating back to around 2015, she had used, to put it bluntly, variations of the N-word, a racial slur that dehumanizes Black people.

Though she is Russian and English is a second language to her, her grasp of English and her having spent time in America made it difficult to understand how she could think that the slur was acceptable.

Alina Kasha IG apology for racist posts

After the outcry over her genuinely upsetting posts, Alina was fired, disinvited from the Tell All, and she and Caleb Greenwood were edited out of the rest of the season.

But last month, Mike’s old posts were discovered featuring the same abhorrent racial slur.

Mike, an American for whom English is his native language, has no cultural or linguistic excuses … and the content of his posts was more malicious.

Mike Berk IG "bad joke" racist slur

That right there? That’s not a “funny” joke, it’s a classic white supremacist talking point.

(Just for the record — because using SNAP or other assistance to eat and survive should not be stigmatized — more white people are on food stamps than any other group)

There’s no punchline to Mike’s old posts from 2013. Even without the slur, we’d still be staring bigotry in the face.

Mike Berk is straight up not having a good time

“Nothing was addressed when this same thing happened to my castmate,” Alina observed.

“He didn’t do anything, nor the network,” she noted — no public apology, no firing, no disinvitation from the Tell All.

“If we are all against racism,” Alina suggested, “let’s hold everybody to the same standards.”

Alina Kasha (preview) knows she has to tell Caleb

“To conclude, I feel like if someone is getting fired and another person does the same thing, they have to bear the same consequences,” Alina stated.

She explained: “It has to be addressed too if it was addressed before, and I think they should also apologize.”

Alina affirmed: “What’s unacceptable to one has to be unacceptable to another.”

Mike Berk cusses out Ximena, her family

A lot of fans of the show have been discussing this same thing.

(And some on social media have only just now learned of Mike’s scandal, while being very aware of Alina’s)

So why is there a double standard? Do TLC and Sharp only care about racism sometimes?

Mike Berk introduces himself on Season 5

Some have suggested that TLC and Sharp Entertainment don’t necessarily care about racism at all — not when it comes to firing people, anyway.

These are businesses, who fire people because they might cut into the show’s bottom line, not because of the moral weight of their scandal.

In short, Alina wasn’t fired for racism, she was fired for receiving intense backlash with few if any people defending her.

Mike Berk confirms he's back with Ximena at the Tell All

To the best of our knowledge, Mike has not been fired, edited out, disinvited, or even issued a public apology.

(By the way, he also used transphobic slurs in these old posts, mocked the murder of Trayvon Martin, and made jokes about the AAPI community)

Yes, his scandal came to light later in the season … but he also hasn’t received backlash like Alina has.

Mike Berk on IG Live

To put it bluntly, sometimes very real scandals are weaponized by people who are acting in bad faith.

Many people were shocked and hurt at Alina’s scandal, because they had liked her on screen and were baffled by her social media history.

Some people did not like Alina from the show — because she’s a woman, because she has a sex life, even because she is disabled.

Alina Kasha is very honest with Caleb Greenwood about last night

To the people who already disliked Alina, her scandal wasn’t upsetting — it was exactly what they wanted to use to lash out at her.

Meanwhile, Mike — thanks to a combination of editing, the audience’s tendency to like men more, and some sympathetic moments — is less hated.

Only in his final episodes on screen did Mike begin to show an ugly side of himself to the cameras, but that’s kind of too late to rile up most viewers.

Mike Berk vs Ximena preview 02 of 06

This is not the first time that TLC has shown a clear double standard based, not upon actions, but upon popularity.

Maybe this isn’t 90 Day Fiance‘s fault — maybe it’s the fault of lawmakers for not regulating the reality TV industry in a way that protects stars and producers and mandates transparency.

Remember, this is the show that quietly disinvited now-incarcerated domestic abuser Geoffrey Paschel from the Tell All without warning viewers of who he really is.

Geoffrey Paschel is sentenced to 18 years in prison

Some fans had to learn months or years later, on social media, about Geoffrey’s harrowing personal and criminal history.

Imagine if Geoffrey weren’t in prison where he belongs, and fans met up with him and were endangered because they saw him on TV and thought that he was “safe.”

90 Day Fiance is an enormously successful franchise, but the responsible choice would be to employ more fairness and a little transparency when it comes to these choices.

Which Couples Are Still Together from 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days (Season 5)?

Season 5 is winding to a close and we’ve all seen the 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Tell All Part 1.

Of all of the couples this season, only one could be together on the Tell All stage.

Some of them are playing details of their lives close to the vest — especially those who will be on future seasons.

But how many of them are really still together?

First up, let’s start with the easiest couple to address.

Memphis and Hamza stumbled a little early on in their relationship, as both needed to be more honest with the other.

They also have one of the biggest language gaps ever featured in this franchise, leading Memphis to use simplified language … and earning a “Cookie Monster” nickname.

Memphis and Hamza made it clear that there was more than “sexy time” between them, however.

After a lot of ups and downs and communication struggles, the two married in Tunisia.

Memphis arrived as Hamza’s girlfriend. She flew back to Michigan a married, pregnant woman.

Hamza joins Memphis on the Tell All stage

Memphis showed up at the Tell All witha  total glow-up, knockout look … and still together with Hamza.

She stood out among the other couples, as she and Hamza were the only ones who could physically sit together.

Everyone else, whether still “together” or apart, had one partner on the stage, one partner communicating through a screen.

Up next are Kimberly and Usman.

Usman has appeared on the show before, and he’s back again with yet another older American woman.

Kimberly did not want to be seen as a “superfan.” What she did want was yammy-yammy from Usman.

Kimberly Menzies boops the nose of Usman Umar

Despite initially treating her like a groupee — and not the kind that you sleep with — Kimberly got what she wanted.

He spent the night, they boned, and though Usman wouldn’t say “I love you” or kiss her in public, Kimberly was mostly happy.

But the season ended with her looking at a future of seeing him a few times a year, at most.

Kimberly Menzies breaks down in tears on the Tell All

At the Tell All, Kimberly came prepared to defend her romance with Usman.

However, she was crushed when she — and her castmates — saw a clip of Usman calling and flirting with Zara.

Part 1 of the Tell All ended with Kimberly in tears … but no confirmation of a breakup has surfaced.

Caleb and Alina were a complicated couple, and not just because of their story.

The two met up in Turkey, as their friends-to-lovers story led to them meeting in person for the first time.

Though Alina’s disability gave Caleb pause at first, the two spent plenty of time in bed together.

Caleb Greenwood and Alina Kasha in bed (hesitation, anxiety)

Then, of course, Alina was fired, with the couple edited out of the rest of the season and disinvited from the Tell All.

Alina issued a public apology following her racism scandal.

Though many viewers noted that some of her critics were using a real wrongdoing in bad faith because they simply disliked her, it didn’t change her past misdeeds.

Alina Kasha IG apology for racist posts

Though Alina and Caleb appear to have parted on good terms, it does not look like they are still together.

On what we saw, it looked like Caleb wasn’t prepared for a long-term romance with Alina in light of her disability.

Perhaps the ending that we saw months ago was misleading, but they are not at the Tell All to correct us.

Mike and Ximena started off as a very sweet couple.

Mike hasn’t been in a “real” realtionship since he was 14, while Ximena is a young mother of two.

The two met through Ximena’s cam work, where Mike offered to financially support her so that she could quit that job.

Mike Berk vs Ximena preview 02 of 06

Despite some initial tender moments, the two turned out to be a toxic nightmare.

Ximena seemed to grow bored of Mike, picking both fair and unfair flaws … yet not quite going so far as to break up with him.

When Mike felt brokenhearted, he showed his ugly side, insulting Ximena and her family, and at one point refusing to leave her home.

Mike Berk vs Ximena preview 06 of 06

Mike began to give the impression that he felt that supporting Ximena as a girlfriend meant that he owned her.

Hurt people say hurtful things, but that is not a side of Mike that many viewers will soon forget.

Add that to Mike’s racism scandal — in many ways worse than Alina’s, despite less backlash — and it was hard to feel sorry for him.

Mike Berk confirms he's back with Ximena at the Tell All

This toxic couple ended their engagement before the season ended, but a cliffhanger on the finale showed them threatening to reconcile.

On the Tell All Part 1, they confirmed that they’re back together, and there have been reports for months that Mike and Ximena filmed another season.

However, the two strongly hinted at another ugly breakup in February, and Ximena seems to already be with a new man.

Speaking of creepy men, up next, we have Ben and Mahogany.

Ben is in his fifties and believed that he was speaking to a 24-year-old, not to a 22-year-old.

Mahogany had tried to discourage Ben from coming, but he ignored her wishes and flew down anyway. This was the beginning of a pattern for him.

Ben Rathbun tries to get into the car with Mahogany Roca anyway

At first, Mahogany seemed like a total catfish, and viewers still aren’t sure what her whole deal is.

Ben dialed up his creepiness factor to new heights, repeatedly crossing her boundaries and using textbook manipulative tactics.

As the season ended, they were very much over, though at the Tell All, Ben confirmed that they had spoken the night before.

Ben Rathbun and Mahogany Roca on Reddit (February 2022)

Ben and Mahogany were spotted in a mall in Lima, Peru several weeks ago, even photographed by a fan of the show.

Whether or not they were filming again, they were unwisely spending time in each other’s company months and months after Season 5 filming had wrapped.

We can’t explain his judgment or hers. Some people cannot stop making the same mistake.

Ella and Johnny were perhaps this season’s least eventful couple, as they did not get a chance to meet.

(It’s a real shame, and personally I hope that they can return for another season and meet up — they both deserve happiness)

Between the COVID-19 pandemic itself and the protections put into place, Johnny kept delaying meeting Ella, and each delay hurt more than the last.

Johnny to Ella Johnson - like a postponement to February

Sometimes, even the most valid excuses in the world stop being enough after they’re used too many times.

Ella ended up sleeping with a friend, which she confessed to Johnny (for some reason, Kimberly was particularly furious with her over this).

It appears that they are still together (unless they say otherwise during Part 2), but have yet to actually meet.

Gino and Jasmine were one of the most bizarre and at times horrifying couples this season.

There is simply no excuse for how much screaming and betrayal viewers were forced to endure.

They both owe each other so much more than what they offered.

Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda hug, are engaged

Gino leaked Jasmine’s nudes to his ex, simultaneously breaking Jasmine’s trust while proving that he’s hung up on his ex.

Jasmine would cry and scream and yell with little or no provocation — having meltdowns over the color of the walls of Gino’s house, which she has never visited.

The two ended up getting engaged despite a bajillion fights and other red flags, though Gino “forgot” to bring up a prenup.

Gino Palazzolo in K-1 process with Jasmine, isn't flirting with restaurant employees

At the Tell All, Gino declared that he had “decided” that he did not need a prenup.

Though Jasmine complained about him choosing to masturbate instead of give her his “meat,” which she craved, they are clearly still together.

Gino confirmed that they are in the K-1 visa process and that he hopes to bring her home to MIchigan soon.

Caleb Greenwood Awkwardly Addresses Tell All Absence: I Wish My Castmates the Best!

For the final episodes of Season 5 and for the 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Tell All special, one couple was conspicuously absent.

Caleb Greenwood and Alina Kasha received a limited run this season before being edited out following Alina’s scandal.

Some viewers didn’t quite get the memo, and had expected to see them appear on the Tell All.

On Instagram, Caleb is addressing their conspicuous absence.

“As everyone has noticed and was announced on the episode, I’m not at the Tell All,” Caleb wrote.

“I wish my fellow 90 Day cast mates the best,” he expressed.

Caleb then encouraged his followers: “Stay tuned next week for part 2 as all the couple’s relationship statuses unfold.”

Caleb Greenwood IG on Tell All absence

In a previous Instagram post, Caleb also touched upon the subject of his and Alina’s removal from the show.

“We only took a few photos in Turkey as a group and this is one of my favorites,” he wrote beside a photo of the couple with Alina’s friend, Elijah.

“A lot of people send me messages,” Caleb acknowledged, “that they are surprised that our story wrapped the way it did and wasn’t longer.”

Caleb acknowledged: “But some things are beyond my control.”

“Despite the ups and downs,” he reflected, “the trip really was a good experience that carries fond memories.”

Caleb concluded: “And yes, some of them even include Fabulous Elija despite all his dramatic antics.”

Elijah and Caleb Greenwood end things on a good place

Caleb’s bromance with Elijah was really interesting — they are two men who really care about Alina but have very little else in common.

Elijah was something of a fan favorite despite his limited run on the show.

It might have been interesting to see more of how Caleb and Alina got along after Elijah went home, but we didn’t see much.

Elijah departs - don't be a dick, Caleb

Caleb and Alina had a lot of interesting potential of their own.

Alina is a ltitle person, navigating life with a very visible physical disability.

Even if Caleb weren’t a very active and fit guy, that could pose unique relationship challenges.

Alina Kasha has dinner with Caleb Greenwood and her friend Maria

Unfortunately, we did not get to see their full story play out.

While Alina and Caleb’s on-screen story was interesting and engaging and even relatable, her social media history caught up to her.

Multiple posts, made across different years, using the N-word, were impossible to ignore or excuse.

Alina Kasha IG n-word caption beard post 2015

Alina did post an apology, but her initial denials and excuses did not work in her favor.

Fans struggled to understand how someone who had studied in the United States, even for a matter of months, could be confused about such a slur.

(Some adult Americans also claim “confusion” over the world’s worst slur, but that’s neither here nor there)

Alina Kasha IG apology for racist posts

So no, Alina and Caleb were not on the Tell All.

Other stars have been disinvited in the past, following scandals, arrests, and worse.

With Alina and Caleb, the show took the unprecedented step of editing out their story from the rest of the season.

BF90 S5 cast on the Tell All stage

It’s clear that Alina is remorseful and in many ways a good person, but that doesn’t mean that an apology is enough following racist slurs.

(And frankly, as a white person, it wouldn’t be my place to say if it were)

But one thing isn’t adding up … because look who did make it to the Tell All.

Mike Berk confirms he's back with Ximena at the Tell All

Mike Berk and Ximena Cuellar were on the Tell All, even after Mike — an American with no “I’m Russian” excuse — had his own scandal.

We know that a lot of older social media comes from a time when “shock” humor was popular, but it’s hard to see that applying here.

If Mike’s history of racist and bigoted posts were supposed to be jokes … what exactly is the punchline?

Mike Berk IG "bad joke" racist slur

That’s not a joke, that’s just repeating white supremacist talking points and using a racial slur in the process.

So why is Mike still on the show — and likely returning for another season — while Alina (and by extension, Caleb and Elijah) is just a memory?

Well, that’s because Alina wasn’t actually fired for racism.

Alina was fired because of massive backlash from fans that (understandably) was not countered by any defenders.

Calls to fire verbal abusers like Angela Deem or accused predators like Big Ed are often countered by fans — we can’t explain it, but some people actually like them.

The calls to fire Alina were vocal, aggressive, and she lacked the polarizing factor of having outspoken fans speak up for her.

Mike Berk cusses out Ximena, her family

We’re not saying that Alina should still be on the show or that people should have spoken up to defend her, but … what is Mike still doing there?

The truth is that, though his scandal is almost certainly worse in terms of what he did, the outcry has been far less.

Maybe it’s because it’s later in the season. Or maybe some of the (otherwise justified) outcry against Alina was rooted in people who just didn’t like her.

Mike Berk Wants Ximena Back on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Finale (Recap)

Season 5, Episode 16 of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days was also the season finale … except of course for the Tell All.

For several couples, this was a tearful and tender episode as they said goodbye.

There were some exceptions.

After initially refusing to leave Ximena’s home, Mike finally left to spend the night in a hotel, but his complicated feelings did not leave him when he left Colombia.

Ben chased Mahogany after she walked away, driving her first into and then out of a car as he demanded that she listen to what he had to say.

Gino and Jasmine cried and said goodbye … before Gino had a chance to bring up a prenup.

With Kimberly gone, Usman called up Zara — yes, the ex with the song about her — while showing some skin.

A pregnant Memphis said a tearful goodbye to Hamza and his family, with Hamza realizing that his child might be born before the K-1 visa is granted.

Despite Mike’s alarming refusal to leave her home, it looks like he either talked himself into going to a hotel or production reminded him that they were, you know, filming all of this and “guy who refuses to leave his ex-fiancee’s house” is not a great look.

2. Ximena went to family

Ximena cuellar the crazies
She laments how she always seems to attract “the crazies.” It’s clear that this breakup is taking its emotional toll on her, too. She knows that Mike really cares about her, but she’s no longer in love with him — plus, he just threw a lot of insults in her face.

3. Mike apologizes … sort of

Mike mostly seems to be apologizing to Ximena’s mom and sister, but perhaps also to her. He is saying goodbye, but he begins to cry.

Derly, Ximena’s mom, explains to the camera that Mike has felt like family — both during his visits and even from afar. Through his support of Ximena, which started right around when the pandemic put a lot of people out of work, Mike has put food on the table for many of them. She’s grateful, and it’s hard to lose a man she has thought of as a son.

90 Day Fiance Rebranded as 120 Day Fiance Amidst Covid-Related Backlog in K-1 Visa Applications

90 Day Fiance has gone through a number of changes since the series premiered.

On the flagship show and across numerous spinoffs, the “90 Day” title — a reference to the K-1 visa — has at times been more of a suggestion.

With the realities of delays caused by visa backlogs after two years in a pandemic, some adjustments have been made.

Are you ready for the series to take on a brand new title?

90 Day Fiance Season 9 promo with Miona and Jibri

On April 1, 2022, Sharp Entertainment and TLC released a statement about the ever-growing franchise’s future.

“90 Day Fiance and our many treasured spinoffs have found a growing, responsive audience both on TLC and on Discovery Plus,” the statement began.

“While we are reluctant to mess with perfection,” the statement continued, “current realities dictate that we make some adjustments.”

“When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, many of us hoped that it would last a matter of weeks,” the statement acknowledged.

“As we all know, that has not been the case,” the press release understated.

“Multiple 90 Day Fiance couples and their international journeys of love have been delayed, altered, or interrupted by the virus and by restrictions,” the statement noted.

“These delays have turned personal lives upside down, ended relationships before they began, and wreaked havoc upon filming schedules,” the statement observed.

“Because of these delays, we have had to extend filming time to keep up with the bureaucratic backlog of visa applications,” TLC and Sharp explained.

“While we expect it to be an adjustment for some viewers,” the statement concluded, “we hope that they will love the accurately-named 120 Day Fiance just as much.”

Considering the impact of the pandemic on relationships, 120 days could give couples a lot more breathing room.

One of the first COVID casualties was Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi.

The pair married in very early 2020 … right before two disasters struck to keep them apart.

Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi kiss as wife and husband

Even before COVID-19 was declared a pandemic, the first hurdle came from one of Angela’s favorite people.

Donald Trump was still in office at the time, and added Nigeria to a travel ban.

The now-disgraced former president made this move just days after Angela and Michael tied the knot, meaning that any K-1 visa filing would have to wait for a new administration.

Angela Deem flips off Michael Ilesanmi at the Tell All Part 2

As if that were not enough, the pandemic struck.

This caused massive delays in any kind of immigration.

It also provided certain bad faith actors (Stephen Miller) with opportunities to push for even further restrictions upon legal immigration.

Angela Deem holds up Trump underwear - you gonna wear 'em for me?

By all accounts, Angela and Michael are still not together.

They have been married for more than two years, but have not been able to see each other in person.

Unless they are very good at hiding the truth, it looks like they may have broken up not too long ago … and any breakup could be their last.

Angela Deem flashes the camera and screams

In that case, COVID-19 may have done the couple a favor — at least, done Michael a favor.

Angela was already proud to bombard him with vicious verbal and emotional abuse.

It is difficult to imagine that she would have started behaving better once he was living with her in Georgia, cut off from his friends and family.

Ella Johnson cries over the mention of Johnny's son

Other couples were more sympathetic.

On Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days, Idaho native Ella Johnson has been struggling with the pandemic’s toll.

She wants to be with Johnny. Johnny says that he wants to be with her. And yet …

Johnny to Ella Johnson - like a postponement to February

Again and again, Johnny has delayed coming to see Ella in person, either in Idaho or in Dubai.

Why? Because of the virus and because of restrictions.

He could get sick. He could lose a lot of money being hospitalized in the nightmarish U.S. healthcare system. He could be quarantined for weeks.

Ella Johnson gives an open relationship ultimatum, just wants happiness

As we have all seen, Ella fears that Johnny will never make the trip, that he’ll keep dragging this out.

Worst of all, she worries that he is using this very valid situation as an excuse.

Meanwhile, Johnny worries that Ella will meet someone else and fall in love, and he’ll be the one who is alone.

Johnny - she will meet somebody else

Then, of course, we have the two Alinas.

First came Steven Johnston, the eccentric Mormon with great hair and poor impulse control.

He and his worryingly young, appropriately immature girlfriend had to meet up in Turkey due to visa restrictions.

Steven Johnston and Alina are married!

Another Alina, known on Instagram as Alina Kasha, also came from Russia to Turkey to meet a long-haired American dude.

Caleb Greenwood wasn’t a compulsive cheater. He was a little goofy and a lot spiritual. He also had great hair.

Their story was cut short when Alina’s history of using racist slurs on social media came to light.

Caleb Greenwood and Alina Kasha in bed (hesitation, anxiety)

A slight rebranding won’t change inherent incompatibility, but sometimes real life requires a necessary adjustment.

There’s no telling if this change will be implemented before Season 9 of 90/120 Day Fiance premieres.

Oh, and there’s one more thing:

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!

Usman Umar Calls Zara, Admits He Still Loves Her After Kimberly Leaves

Last weekend, Kimberly Menzies left without a goodbye kiss from Usman Umar, catching her flight back to the United States.

She kissed his cheek and told him that she loved him multiple times. Usman did nothing of the sort, despite PDA during the ride over.

With Kimberly gone, however, Usman reached out to his ex, Zara, to whom his song and music video were dedicated.

Despite his struggles to say the same about Kimberly, he has no problem dropping the L-word about Zara.

At the beginning of this sneak peek for Season 5, Episode 16 of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days, Usman is searching for clarity.

“At this point, I think I love her,” he admits of the recently-promoted-to-girlfriend-status Kimberly.

“But,” Usman characterizes, “I think sometimes Kimberly wants things in her own way.”

“And if I want for us to have peace, I have to give in to her,” Usman explains in the clip.

“So,” he reasons, “I still have concern about this relationship.”

Feeling like you have to walk on eggshells and appease your partner is not a healthy dynamic, it’s true.

So Usman has decided to call up his most recent American ex, a woman named Zara.

As viewers may recall, Zara couldn’t cope with Usman’s thirsty fans on social media, so they broke up before ever meeting in person.

“Even though I didn’t meet Zara in person, I love that lady so much,” Usman tells the camera.

“But she couldn’t handle my career,” Usman recalls of his erstwhile romance with Zara.

“And,” he needlessly reminds viewers, “I love my career first than anything.”

Usman summarizes: “So, this is the reason why she break up with me about four months ago.”

That’s a reminder that most of the time that he spent talking to Kimberly was also time spent in this relationship with Zara.

Usman didn’t see it as a romance with Kimberly, allegedly, but Kimberly sure did.

That is why she was so furious with him — everyone understands that he was talking to at least two women at that time. Kimberly felt like an understudy.

When Usman calls up Zara, he very notably does not mention Kimberly.

“I came here to shoot that song I dedicated to you before you break up with me,” he says during the video call.

He then claims: “But I was like ‘Hey, wait a minute. I think I need to call Zara just to talk to her.'”

Real talk: like when Georgi chatted with Jesse on Darcey & Stacey, this feels like a suggestion made by production, but whatever.

Zara seems awkward for a while, before admitting to Usman that her mother knows “what really happened.”

She continues mysteriously: “She knows. She knows that I was hurt by it.”

Presumably, if the full episode doesn’t tell us all of that, the “what really happened” of it all will come up at the Tell All.

Usman stirs the pot, asking Zara if she misses “anything about me.”

Did we mention that he’s not wearing an undershirt for this whole conversation? Yes, more men should dress like that, but there’s a time and a place, my guy.

“I know Kimberly would not be happy with me right now calling Zara,” Usman admits to the camera.

“But I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong,” he insists.

Usman claims that he only called Zara “because I need to be sure about my future with Kimberly.” Sure.

Memphis Sandoval Blasts 90 Day Fiance Trolls: Stop Bullying My Castmates!

Longtime reality stars are no strangers to scrutiny, misinformation, and social media trolls.

However, new 90 Day Fiance cast members like Memphis Sandoval are sometimes caught unprepared for the vitriol aimed their way.

Memphis has faced paternity questions, been ridiculed for her manner of speech, and even felt that “fans” were bullying her children.

On social media, she is hitting back hard at trolls and asking fans to be kinder — not just to her, but to her castmates.

Memphis Sandoval needed some space to figure things out

Memphis Smith, also known as Memphis Sandoval and most recently as Memphis Chardell-Arden Mokni, has been speaking out since the season premiere.

A newcomer to the franchise on Season 5, she spoke out early this year.

She implored viewers to remember that editing meant that much of what they saw was taken out of context.

Memphis has repeatedly asked haters to go complain elsewhere, like the comments under various blogger pages.

Trolls filling her Instagram with insults and accusations, she warned, would be blocked.

Memphis admitted that she wasn’t sure if she would do the show again in light of what she has experienced … at one point referring to it as “the devil’s work.”

Memphis Sandoval contacts a family law attorney

That was then.

Now, Memphis is emphasizing how hard of a time her castmates are having, too.

“It is sad to see so many people going to the extreme to hurt [the] cast, belittle them.”

Memphis Sandoval is honestly getting fed up

She lamented that people would “try to discredit them and destroy their lives.”

Memphis expressed a desire for people to be wiser and to “not to participate in these shows.”

Her frustration, she explained, stemmed from people not enjoying the show for what it is.

Memphis Smith IG Story anger at viewers

“Then what will these lowlife people do with their time?” Memphis asked.

She suggested: “Maybe do something more productive like plant a tree.”

This could be a response to a couple of things.

Memphis Smith baby photo (mystery)

First of all, this could stem from Memphis’ recent drama related to a photo of her young son.

Her son, who is now 7 years old, was very cute as a baby.

But when Memphis posted a throwback of him without a clear explanation and then insisted that he was not Hamza’s, rumors began flying around.

Memphis Smith IG hints the baby isn't Hamza's?

While Memphis could have avoided this by clearly labeling her photos, she is not an experienced public figure.

A few months ago, no one had ever heard of her, and her posts would receive mostly normal replies.

Now, she’s living in a different world where every post will be analyzed by countless chattering voices, many of whom have bad intentions.

Memphis is not the only cast member under fire.

Ben Rathbun says that he was fired because of misinformation following his arrests, which he says were also not his fault.

One would hope that more reality stars would give information that they are able to, as many good faith fans are simply discussing the best information available.

Memphis Smith IG why do trolls assume the worst

Memphis has clearly had enough.

She shared that she plans to discontinue use of her Instagram page after the Tell All special airs.

One can hardly blame her from being tired of the backlash.

Hamza and Memphis Sandoval are married

That said … Memphis was spotted a few months ago, apparently filming again.

She was seen in Michigan. Hamza was reportedly seen with her.

Honestly, it would be very interesting to see how Memphis and Hamza get along in a new environment … with that same language barrier.

Ben Rathbun Fired Following Arrest: I Didn’t Drink and Drive! I Was Drugged!

Last week, 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days star Ben Rathbun was sentenced following his arrest.

This was a complicated case, stemming from 2020 charges of driving under the influence and a follow-up failure to appear this February.

Now, Ben is finally speaking out on the matter — revealing that he has been fired from his job.

According to Ben, he was a victim in both arrests, a statement that reminds some fans of how he described his past relationships to Mahogany.

Ben Rathbun spoke to In Touch Weekly following his dismissal from his job at the Michigan Lupus Foundation.

He hopes that this firing “will serve to humble me and allow greater growth in me as a person.”

Ben previously worked as an executive director of the foundation, but says that he does not resent this move.

Ben Rathbun didn't get a text back, is skipping brunch

Ben shared that he does not “blame my foundation for letting me go.”

This statement comes after his former employer announced his dismissal on Facebook.

“Effective immediately, Ben Rathbun is no longer an employee,” the Michigan Lupus Foundation declared.

angry Mahogany Roca walks away from Ben Rathbun

“Anything that would distract us from accomplishing the mission of our charity should be dealt with appropriately,” Ben admitted.

“I had become a major distraction,” he acknowledged.

“And I know this process, while painful, is the best course of action,” Ben affirmed.

Ben Rathbun tries to defend everything

Ben expressed his aspiration that this change “will eventually lead me to another place of service.”

He hopes that this new path will bring him to a place “that can use my talents to help people.”

But Ben also wants to address the arrests — both the initial one in 2020, and the more recent one from this year.

Ben Rathbun learns that Mahogany's parents do not live there

Ben’s arrest a few weeks ago was due to a bench warrant after he failed to appear at a probation hearing.

That probation, and thus the arrest, stemmed from his 2020 OUI (operating under the influence) arrest.

According to him, misinformation about his arrest led to confusion and undue blame.

Ben Rathbun waits alone in the dark on a pier

“When the public, including the board members of my charity, first heard of my arrest,” Ben recalled.

He added: [it was] falsely reported that I had been picked up late at night for drunk driving.”

Ben continued: “While the truth was far less dramatic, the damage had been done.”

Ben Rathbun continues to wait

“But still, I had committed a crime and put myself and others in danger,” Ben explained.

He then confessed: “And … I had hid it from them and even my family.”

It sounds like, had Ben been more transparent with his loved ones and perhaps with fans, some of this scandal could have been avoided.

Ben Rathbun finds out that he's just a friend

“In September of 2020, I went to help a homeless couple living at a Red Roof Inn,” Ben recalled.

“And when they offered me a little plastic cup of wine,” he shared, “I stupidly accepted.”

“When I left, I felt so tired I stopped at a hotel for the night,” Ben described, “and completely lost the next 24 hours.”

Ben Rathbun looks forward to "mandatory alone time," believes it's god's plan

“Apparently, they had spiked the drink,” Ben accused.

“The next day, I attempted to drive home and hit the curb disabling my car,” he revealed.

“The police did a breathalyzer and found no alcohol,” Ben shared, “but later they did a blood draw at the station and found flubromazolam in my system.”

Ben Rathbun prepares for flight, has booked separate hotel rooms

As you can guess from the name, flubromazolam is related to more commonly proscribed benzodiazepines.

It is a more recent and potentially more potent variation of that family of medicines.

While benzodiazepines can positively transform people’s lives, we should remember that Rohypnol — a common drug used by sexual predators — is also in that group.

Ben Rathbun doesn't feel like he has to answer for the past

“I received 18 months probation, community service, counseling, fines, educational courses, and random testing for weeks and weeks,” Ben recalled.

“I met all the requirements and never had a positive test,” he added.

“However, when the court allowed me to move to another state, they mailed a summons to the wrong address,” Ben explained.

Mahogany Roca leaves Ben Rathbun alone at the table

“This was my fault,” Ben admitted, “because I needed to make sure I was getting all notices.”

“But by the time I found out, it was too late, and I missed my appointment,” he acknowledged.

“So a warrant was issued for my arrest,” Ben said. “I immediately drove 14 hours and turned myself in to the court and spent a night in jail.”

Ben Rathbun is pretty weirded out by everything

It sounds like, according to Ben, he did not voluntarily drive under the influence of anything.

From Ben’s description, someone poisoned him, leading to his arrest and a great deal of personal difficulties.

Then, when the summons was mailed to the wrong address, Ben lived everyone’s nightmare — facing a bench warrant without knowing it.

Mahogany Roca - so Benjamin is perfect and does nothing wrong?

Some have suggested that Ben is blaming everyone but himself, as he seemed to do when describing his romantic history to Mahogany Roca.

However, Ben did acknowledge that he should have made sure that the court had his new address.

This sounds like an extremely unfair situation and, whatever we may think of what we’ve seen of him on the show, we’re sorry that this happened to Ben.
