She is removing her tattoo of him … and giving fans a look at the process.
Though they spent many months of it apart as Ashley begged Jay to sign divorce papers and he refused, their marriage lasted over three years.
Jay’s real name is Conroy St. Christopher Smith, and his passion in life is tattoo artistry.
As such, Ashley had a finger tattoo in tribute to Jay … a permanent mark on her skin that she has obviously come to regret.
Just days ago, Ashley shared this image to her Instagram Stories to update fans on her divorce journey.

Ashley and Jay’s romance started pretty normally.
Ashley just happened to be in Jamaica at the time when she saw a tall, handsome man dancing at a club.
They hit it off right away. It wasn’t until they were already preparing to get married that she learned that Jay was college aged, about a dozen years her junior.
Despite learning of the age gap, Ashley was already in love with Jay.
The two were married after airing their journey on 90 Day Fiance.
Unfortunately, this is where the trouble began.
As Ashley revealed on the Tell All special, three days after their wedding, she caught Jay cheating on her by video chatting with a younger woman.
She later disclosed that the woman in question was an 18-year-old girl — a high school student — whom Jay had met on Tinder.
He had downloaded the dating app immediately after the two tied the knot. For whatever reason, Ashley did not dump him then and there.
In early January of 2019, Ashley discovered that Jay had cheated on her — this time, physically.
He and a random young woman had hooked up in the bathroom of a barbershop where Jay liked to hang out.
Ashley saw evidence of the hookup and tried to get a divorce. Jay balked, refusing to sign the papers. Eleven days later, he convinced her to withdraw the filing.
To the surprise of no one, Jay was found just a few months later to have cheated again.
This time, he had kept a mistress for weeks.
Ashley wanted him out of her house. This time, their separation lasted for months.
Somehow, the two secretly reconnected late in the summer of 2019 after Jay parted ways with his former mistress, Kayla.
Ashley and Jay kept their rekindled romance under wraps until, you guessed it, Jay cheated again.
Ashley announced that they had broken up again after one of Jay’s side pieces claimed to have become pregnant by him. Still, he refused to grant her a divorce.
In March of 2020, Ashley and Jay once again reunited for what would prove to be the longest stretch of their marriage.
Their inexplicable reconciliation raised eyebrows and shocked fans, but it ended the only way that it could — with Jay once again cheating.
They broke up in September of 2020. As we said, fans hope that it will be their final breakup … and that Jay can be bothered to sign the divorce paperwork this time.

That was Jay’s fifth time cheating (and getting caught). Now, Ashley has formally filed for divorce … for the third time.
Ashley Martson opened up to In Touch Weekly about her third and hopefully final divorce filing.
“It was done months ago,” Ashley reveals. Notably, she announced their split on September 19 of 2020.
Of course, whether this divorce filing is any more successful than the past two may be up to Jay at this point.
“[It] should be finalized in February 2021 if Jay signs,” Ashley shares.
Notably, he dragged his feet for both earlier filings — at one point even signing the papers but getting the date wrong, rendering the documents void in an act of deliberate sabotage.
As Ashley explains, she has a grueling wait ahead of her.
“We have a 90-day waiting period until it can be final,” Ashley describes.
She also explains that she unfortunately “had a hard time getting him served.”
“So,” Ashley reasons, “that’s why it states that it was reinstated in November.”
Ashley actually filed the divorce paperwork on October 23, just over a month after announcing their split to the world.
“I just want a divorce,” Ashley expresses, “and him out of my life forever.”
She goes on to describe her three-year marriage to Jay as the “biggest mistake of my life that I’ll regret forever.”:
An inside source close to Ashley opened up to Us Weekly about what the 90 Day Fiance alum is up to these days.
According to this insider, Ashley currently “is focused on her kids.”
“And,” the source continues, the 34-year-old mother of two “is trying to heal from the messy divorce.”
If Ashley had trouble getting Jay served with divorce papers, it likely means that he was going above and beyond to avoid receiving the filings.
This would seem to indicate that he is once again dragging his heels in order to remain married to Ashley, and is unlikely to cooperate despite Ashley’s optimistic statement.
At the end of the day, Jay finds being married to Ashley too convenient. Just a few months ago, she bought him his own tattoo shop, but it seems that it’s still not enough to satisfy him.

“Sometimes things just don’t work out,” the image reads, “and it’s not anyone’s fault.”
The message concludes: “It’s just the way things are.”
In the captions below the graphic, Ashley shares some news about her marriage.
“Before the stories get all misconstrued,” she begins, “I will just address it myself.”
Ashley announces: “Jay and I have made the decision to separate for good.”
“I thought I was stronger and more forgiving,” Ashley writes, “but I’m not.”
“Sometimes when trust is broken,” she adds, “it just cannot be repaired.”
“I wish Jay the best,” Ashley declares, “and we are both on the same page with this.”
In a truly shocking revelation, Ashley declares: “No one cheated.”
“No one did anything,” she adds. “I simply couldn’t get over the past.”
Considering the past that she finds inescapable, we’re not surprised. Some would say that it’s a good thing that she couldn’t sweep past wrongs under the rug.
“I gave my all to this marriage,” Ashley affirms, “and as I type this I’m heartbroken.”
“This isn’t how I envisioned my future,” she confesses.
We don’t want to distract from Ashley’s emotional hardships in any way, but … in 2020 especially, she is far from alone.
“We want to thank everyone who has supported us,” Ashley writes, “and were rooting for us.”
“Have a good weekend everyone,” she expresses.
“To my close friends and family,” Ashley concludes, “I’m sorry you’re finding out this way but I just don’t have the strength to talk about it. Please forgive me.”
We know that Ashley is heartbroken at this point, and we really do feel for her.
But we disagree when she says that this breakup happened because she wasn’t “strong” enough to overlook the many inexcusable incidents from their relationship’s past.
Rather, we’d say that she had the strength of character to hold on to the truth of what has happened to her. It’s so sad that she thinks that this is a failing and not a positive trait.
The question of whether Jay Smith was cheating on her in Jamaica is honestly moot, because he did cheat on her right after their wedding.
Jay downloaded Tinder. Just three days after their wedding, Ashley caught him video chatting with a(n 18-year-old) high school girl.
He would later claim that he thought that the app was for “making friends.” Despite her on-screen declaration, Ashley decided to give him a second chance (1).
Months later, Ashley discovered that Jay had boned a total stranger in a barbershop bathroom.
She was told about the tryst, even seeing video evidence of the aftermath and speaking with the girl on the phone.
She kicked Jay out and, on January 11 of 2019, filed for divorce.
Just 11 days later, Ashley withdrew her divorce papers and took Jay back, giving him a second chance (2).
She and Jay weathered an Instagram scandal and Jay looked after her after two different medical events.
It seemed that they had patched things up.
Then, in the spring of 2019, Ashley revealed that she and Jay had once again split.
This time, she had uncovered evidence that he had been having an ongoing affair.
We’re not sure if having a dedicated mistress or a random bathroom hookup is “worse” from a spouse’s behavior, but Ashley was devastated.
Months went by, and Jay even spent most of July of that year behind bars after violating Ashley’s protective order.
When Jay was bailed out by his then-boss, he reunited with his mistress-turned girlfriend.
But their happy reunion only lasted for weeks before they broke up. And she was one of the first to voice a suspicion that Jay and Ashley were back together.
Late that summer, Ashley and Jay did get back together — Ashley opting to give Jay a second chance (3).
Of course, the world did not learn about it until the two broke up, which happened in the fall.

Then, in March of 2020, Ashley participated in a TikTok meme and used it as the vehicle for her announcement: she and Jay were back together.
At this point, fans didn’t find yet another reconciliation any more unbelievable than Jay cheating. Both seemed as certain as the sunrise.
