On 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Yazan’s brother has confirmed that his life is in danger because of his relationship.

That is why some fans are so livid with Brittany for her tantalizing booty display. Is she trying to make things worse?

“Perfect workout jumpsuit for my morning twerk out to jagged edge,” Brittany Banks wrote on Instagram.

In the video post that she shared over the weekend, she added: “Idk why but jagged edge makes me twerk.”

Though the post was an apparent product endorsement, all eyes were on the video itself — which we have included in this post.

In the video, she does exactly as she describes: she twerks.

Twerking is a fascinating interaction of physics and biology, something that some people even find sexy.

Brittany is clearly skilled at the dance. Twerking is an art form, and she is an artist.

But some commenters were nothing short of furious with Brittany’s display.

“Now I wonder why they wanted to kill Yazan,” one remarked.

Another commenter exclaimed: “So her man really gonna die now after his dad sees THIS.”

What these worried commenters are referring to is recent aspects of Brittany and Yazan’s storyline.

Here in the latter half of Season 2 of The Other Way, Yazan has received threats.

It is feared that his family could inflict violence upon him if he does not break things off with Brittany.

Though cameras recorded Yazan’s father appearing to make a threat, translators online have cried foul at TLC.

They say that Yazan’s father’s words were an expression said in anger, equivalent to someone in English lamenting “I forgot to thaw the chicken; mom’s going to kill me.”

What Yazan’s dad actually did was kick Yazan out of the house, rendering him temporarily homeless, and fire him from his job.

However, more recent statements from Obaida, Yazan’s brother, make it apparent that some of Yazan’s extended family have made more literal threats.

In fact, these seem to be the same individuals who have been raising a stink over Brittany’s totally innocuous bikini photos.

These unseen malefactors are the same ones who worked up Yazan’s dad into a frenzy in the first place.

Yazan’s family’s outrage is not representative of Jordan as a whole.

The nation of Jordan has bikinis, Instagram influencers, bars, legal alcohol, and more.

But Yazan’s conservative family wants to keep Yazan firmly entrenched in their ways … which means that they see Brittany as a threat.

As Obaida explained to Brittany, there is no easy fix for this.

She cannot simply claim to convert to Islam to silence his family’s threats.

Brittany is visibly devastated by the impact that Yazan’s decision to be with her has had on his life.

We mention all of this to explain why some commenters seem to believe that Brittany is being reckless with Yazan’s safety.

But we should note that what we’re now seeing was filmed so long ago that it’s pre-pandemic, with no mention of COVID-19.

Since then, Brittany has dropped numerous hints that it’s over, at one point writing and deleting a comment in which she said “I’m divorced.”

If Brittany and Yazan were still together, her decision to twerk might lead to him being in danger if he were back in Jordan and his family are truly willing to get violent.

But even then, that would be their fault, not Brittany’s.

As it is, how much do they really care about what dance moves Yazan’s ex-girlfriend does?

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Brittany Banks has shared a lot about her relationship struggles with Yazan.

Now she is exposing texts from Yazan that prove that he was lying to her and to his family.

There’s no question that Brittany Banks is getting the “villain edit” this season.

She’s not alone, of course, but production and editing seem determined to make her out to be a reckless fool who refuses to listen.

While Brittany certainly has her issues, labeling her as the bad guy in her story seems to be ignoring a lot of what we have seen.

From the first episode, it was very clear that Yazan was telling his family one thing and Brittany another — and none of it was true.

Tension when he realized that they would finally meet drove him to outbursts and controlling behavior, trying to suddenly mold her into what he had described.

Of course, Brittany didn’t understand what was going on and was still herself, which only enraged his parents.

Parental pressure is of course no excuse for Yazan’s behavior, but it does explain it. He wanted to have his cake and eat it too.

Some fans have suggested that Brittany just ignored everything that Yazan said and was determiend to do her own thing.

But the texts that he has allegedly sent to Brittany show that either he had very different ideas for their life together than his family did, or he wanted her to think that.

“We were talking about you,” Yazan writes to Brittany in an alleged text message.

“He was telling me how to deal with you,” he continues, “when you come.”

He follows that by a string of laughing emojis.

It has since been deleted.

Whether she deleted it on her own or at TLC’s insistence, Brittany clearly wanted fans to know what Yazan is like in their personal messages.

What can we glean from these texts?

That he was giving Brittany a wink-wink, nudge-nudge about his family’s expectations.

Yazan wanted to keep his family happy but kept assuring Brittany that, in their own lives, she could continue to be herself.

That much has been obvious to anyone really paying attention to the show.

If Yazan wanted to marry a girl of whom his parents would approve, he might have married a girl from a conservative family in Jordan.

Instead, he chose a bikini-wearing American rapper and model. He wants a Western life for Brittany and for himself.

Then, when confronted by his angry parents, Yazan would turn around and lash out at Brittany, blaming her for his problems and demanding that she change.

She was so confused and bewildered on screen because he was sending her constant mixed messages.

Yazan was a man with a foot in two worlds — his family and Brittany — and unwilling to make a clean break from either.

The best advice for someone in his situation to do is probably just to ghost his family.

At this point, it’s not about Brittany, but about any woman he might want to be with.

And that woman is not Brittany anymore. Between her exposing his messages like this and a boatload of other clues, it is clearly over.

When fans last checked, Brittany Banks appeared to have dumped Yazan … without coming right out and saying it.

Except … now she’s purging her bikini pics from Instagram, just like Yazan’s family wanted. Are they back together?

Yazan Abo Horira promised Brittany Banks that, even if she came to marry him, she could continue to live her life as before.

But actually, given his conservative family’s views, that was not the truth.

Yazan’s lies have caught up with him, and we have all seen his life fall apart at the seams for refusing to dump Brittany.

There is absolutely nothing funny about the threats, even if they were not as literal as they seemed, that Yazan has faced.

They are not Brittany’s fault. Nothing excuses the way that Yazan’s father has been reacting.

However … to American audiences, Yazan’s dad’s fixation (in and of itself) on innocuous Instagram photos is kind of hilarious.

He holds out his phone to Yazan’s brother Obaida in one episode, saying “look at this!”

Well “this” is a random bikini photo of Brittany, a sight that wouldn’t make most of us bat an eye.

Instead, Yazan’s father has chosen to allow it to tear his family apart.

This isn’t about Jordan — none of the conflicts that Brittany and Yazan have faced have been because of the country.

The country of Jordan has bars, legal alcohol, and yes, it has bikinis and Instagram influencers.

This has always been about Yazan’s family’s conservative expectations … and Yazan’s lies to both sides to try to keep everyone happy.

On the show, we’ve seen Brittany wear a hijab to meet Yazan’s family and to visit a mosque for educational reasons.

She has repeatedly told him that she is not going to convert — not to Islam or anything else, on the grounds that she does not want any book telling her how to live her life.

But her most recent social media activity has fans wondering if Brittany has dramatically changed her tune.

This week, Brittany’s fans have noticed that almost all of her photos are gone.

Once, there were countless pics of Brittany flashing her booty to the camera, usually wearing bikinis.

Now, not a single bikini can be seen on her Instagram page. Did she get back with Yazan?

Well … probably not.

As you can see above, the five remaining Instagram posts may not feature bikinis, but she’s not exactly covering up, let alone wearing a hijab as Yazan’s family would want.

It seems more likely that Brittany has just decided to reshuffle or rearrange her Instagram posts on a whim, as so many famous beautiful people do.

One aspect of Brittany’s story has gotten praise recently from fans and viewers: her friend Angela.

Angela has a good head on her shoulders. She’s a strikingly beautiful woman but she is alarmed by how toxic Brittany and Yazan’s relationship has begun and feels uncomfortable with it.

Angela represents what many feel is the common sense that both Brittany and Yazan have been lacking since day one.

Brittany Banks has been posting and deleting strong hints that she dumped Yazan and is now single.

Now, she’s making it clear that not only is she not with Yazan, she’s back home in Florida.

Brittany’s family’s dog, Max, has shown up on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.

He’s a sweet, precious dog who clearly missed Brittany and hated that she was away.

Well, Max is no longer unhappy, and you can see why:

Brittany shared a video to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday.

The rest of us may be on the edges of our seats waiting to find out the fate of this election and also the world, but Max is blissfully content.

Quite the balm for the restless soul, right?

It also defies belief that Brittany would be posting in November 2020 a video of her dad’s dog somehow with her in Jordan.

The only reasonable conclusion to draw is that Brittany is at home in Florida where her father lives.

This sweet video with Max seems like a more innocuous way of letting fans know what’s going on.

Because Brittany’s previous “hints” have been … pretty blunt.

She recently told followers that she was divorced, a comment that was followed by her deleting all of her comments.

She also revealed in that same now-deleted comment that Yazan had known the truth about her divorce situation the whole time.

They only kept it a secret so that his family would not be upset.

Clearly, Brittany has different priorities than appeasing Yazan’s super-conservative relatives these days.

Fans are falling over themselves with relief that Brittany appears to no longer be with Yazan.

It’s not that no one likes these two stars or wants them to be happy.

It’s just that together, the two seemed to be a very toxic couple.

Some of that toxicity is purely Yazan’s doing.

From day one, he played both sides against the middle.

He told his family that Brittany was willing to convert to Islam. He told Brittany that she could continue living her life as his wife.

While many Muslim women have no issue living their lives as Brittany does, Yazan’s family sees things differently.

They have tried to ruin Yazan’s life, even threatening him with violence over his relationship with Brittany.

But there are some parts of this couple’s problems that stem from both of them.

They way that they fight and argue is, quite frankly, unacceptable. It should be a dealbreaker from any couple, 90 Day Fiance or otherwise.

The way that Yazan spoke to Brittany, blowing up over a bottle of tequila and a hug, should have been the end of their relationship then and there.

And quite frankly, they both blow up at each other, in person and over text, in a way that is not healthy for any human beings — especially two who claim to love each other.

In late October, Brittany Banks seemed to confirm dumping Yazan Abo Horira, hinting that she was single and ready to “mingle.”

The two previously seemed friendly, but now it looks like Brittany has been defending Yazan’s family’s violent threats.

On Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, we got a firsthand look at Yazan’s family.

Previously, we had heard him tell his friend about his woes — being kicked out of the house, being fired from his job by his father.

This time, we saw him meet up with his brother, Obaida.

Obaida related the family’s “concerns” about Brittany’s Instagram photos.

In addition to spreading the rumor that she is also a porn star, they were fixated on her social media presence.

Yazan had to explain that, well, Brittany is a human being so of course she continues to live her life.

Yazan is still advised by his younger brother to dump Brittany because “she” (their parents) are turning his life upside down.

Cameras then follow Obaida as he meets up with his dad to discuss the situation.

His father confesses that this has been weighing on him day and night … but not for the right reasons.

He doesn’t regret firing Yazan or making him temporarily homeless. He just hates that none of this worked.

By his own admission, he is obsessed with what others — from relatives to neighbors to strangers — think about his son’s love.

As if showing some sort of damning image instead of an innocuous bathing suit pic, he holds up Brittany’s “scandalous” Instagram photo.

We said this before, and we’ll say it again: this image needs to be a meme.

Yazan’s father continues to share his gripes, both with Obaida and with the camera.

It sounds like he is unlikely to budge.

Notably, Jordan has Instagram influencers, models, and bikini-clad babes.

The country has undergone many reforms in recent decades (though non-marital sex is still illegal), particularly with regard to women’s rights.

The issues that Brittany is facing are not the result of “not doing her homework,” but of Yazan misrepresenting his conservative family.

Yazan’s chickens — in this case, lying to Brittany and to his family about each other before they met — have come home to roost.

On camera and while speaking to Obaida, Yazan’s father straight up says that he will “murder” Yazan if he remains with Brittany.

Though translators have said that this is an expression with parallels in English, those are still some very strong words to say.

Whether or not TLC is playing translation games to drum up tensions is kind of moot.

Because Obaida does relay the information to Yazan.

Word for word, he shares Yazan’s father’s alarming threat.

Yazan obviously does not like what he is hearing.

Does he follow his brother’s advice, capitulate to his family’s demands, and dump Brittany?

She is back in the US, so he will likely never have a better time for that.

Instead, Yazan resolves to stick with Brittany, hoping to force his family to accept them.

Many believe that Brittany and Yazan’s toxic relationship not only is doomed, but should be doomed — people who speak to each other like these two do should not be together.

Additionally, Brittany has now been telling people that she’s divorced, though she has since deleted those comments.

Why did we just recap all of that? Because it sheds new light on Brittany’s previous statements.

Back in June, Brittany claimed: “I do love Yazan’s parents. I don’t know exactly where his parents stand.”

“I can’t speak for them and I won’t speak for them,” Brittany added.

Brittany continued: “But I will speak to say I love them and I do think they try their best to deal with the situations at hand with their experiences and their lifestyle.”

“I think they’re just doing the best they can, and I don’t blame them,” she expressed.

“And that’s their son, 100 percent,” Brittany concluded at the time, “so that’s their baby and I understand all of that.”

Was she just trying to be nice to Yazan’s parents at the time? Because that interview sounded like they were married.

In retrospect, she made all of those glowing statements about how she doesn’t “blame them” and “that’s their baby” months after they threatened his life.

Maybe Brittany was being diplomatic … but after seeing that scene, it’s hard to reconcile with Brittany’s previous statements.

On this week’s 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Brittany Banks finally got divorced … a process she had hidden from Yazan.

Now, however, Brittany has claimed that Yazan knew about this the entire time. Of course, she’s also majorly hinting that it’s over.

Just last week, Brittany Banks was lashing out at trolls who accused her of using Yazan Abo Horira for fame.

She reasoned at the time that, had she just wanted to be famous, she’d do so by boning a rapper or an athlete.

At the time, we noted that some of her comments and posts, entertaining though they were, might be at risk of breaking her NDA.

90 Day Fiance stars are not allowed to “spoil” the endings of their seasons … at least, not if they can help it.

Court records are public, which often means that we get to peek at marriage licenses, divorce filings, and restraining orders before the season airs.

But some of Brittany’s posts have really seemed to be crossing the line in what TLC would allow a star to intentionally reveal.

That must be why Brittany has purged comments from so many of her recent photos and videos on Instagram.

Rather than go through and manually delete her slips of the tongue, she has opted to simply deactivate commenting entirely.

That’s no fun for fans, but it makes sense — why give your haters a place to attack you if you’re not allowed to clap back?

As a result, we only have these screenshots taken by a fan to preserve of some of Britney’s most recent slips of the tongue.

One of Brittany’s followers recently commented with a question, asking is “she single now?” under one of her posts.

Brittany, as is her tendency, impulsively overshared.

“I’m divorced,” Brittany revealed.

Though we know that she divorced her ex, it looks like she is revealing that she married Yazan only to divorce him, too.

“And ima be real since im tired of y’all,” Brittany continued.

Brittany then claimed: “Yazan knew I was still married.”

“He just knew his parents would be mad if I was honest about it on the show,” she explained.

Brittany then continued: “bc he didn’t wanna wait to be with me…”

That seems to imply a number of things.

First, that Yazan did a little fakery for the cameras, which … is nothing new at all.

We’ve all seen Brittany claim that Yazan was a virgin, for example, in order to keep up appearances with Yazan’s family.

Perpetuating another fiction sounds like no big deal, especially since people pretend to first learn about things all of the time on reality TV.

(Seriously, how many times do you think that Kardashians really first hear about something in a phone call on camera, and not via text or tweet like everyone else)

But that’s not all that Brittany is saying if you look closely.

In addition to appearing to say that she is divorced from Yazan (not that she spelled it out, of course), she’s signaling something else.

Does she no longer care what happens to him?

We already know that Yazan faces real consequences from his controlling, conservative family for trying to live his life and experience personal freedoms.

So how unhappy with them would they be to learn that he knew that she was married the entire time, even if her marriage was only on paper?

Which means that even if it’s not true (though it is very believable), Brittany seems to be setting him up to get an angry earful from busybody relatives.

That seems to indicate that things did not end happily for them.

Brittany shared another post that suggests that she is single and ready to “mingle.”

“Welcome to the season people are about to regret misunderstanding you,” reads a post that Brittany shares to her Instagram Stories.

The post continues by including the words “cuffing season.”

In case you are unfamiliar, “cuffing season” is when some people seek out short-term relationships so that they can enjoy getting some nice boning during the cooler months of the year.

There’s a cozy “let’s curl up in a blanket and bang by the fire” vibe to it.

Folks, this isn’t what you write if you’re just horny but in a committed relationship, generally speaking. It really does sound like Brittany is totally over Yazan.

Right now, Brittany Banks is getting a lot of blowback from 90 Day Fiance viewers.

After all, Yazan Abo Horira lost just about everything over his continued engagement to her.

The vitriol that is being hurled at Brittany is even worse than it was at the beginning of the season.

People went from attacking her over their baseless assumptions about Jordan to now blaming her for Yazan’s father’s reaction.

Yazan lost his job and his home and feels like he has lost control of his life out of love for Brittany.

But Brittany isn’t the sort to take nonstop, vicious criticism without clapping back.

So, in Instagram comments, she is doing just that.

She is also acknowledging that a lot of the hate that she is getting is rooted in racism, misognyny, and in their fusion — misogynoir.

“Girl, I’m Black,” Brittany tells one fan on Instagram.

“And as a Black woman,” she continues, “you know the world enjoys seeing us fail or being hurt or talking down on us.”

“It is what it is,” she acknowledges to the supportive follower.

“It’s real sad,” Brittany says in another comment, “but that’s the world we live in.”

She is all too aware of how much hate she is getting, and she expected some degree of it.

Brittany then expresses: “thank god I’m secure and happy in my life.”

“Sit your pick me ass down,” she hilariously tells a hater who accused Brittany of just seeking fame.

“I had 324k before the show,” she says, referring to her Instagram followers.

She then demands that the troll “be quiet boo.”

Another troll accuses Brittany of specifically using Yazan in order to become famous.

“Girl shut the f–k up,” Brittany’s reply begins.

Though that is likely all that such an accusation deserves, she did not stop there.

According to Brittany’s assessment, “nobody on TLC is famous.” At least, not by her standards.

“If I wanted to be famous,” she explains, “it would be off a rapper or athlete I dated.”

Brittany says that she would seek fame by dating someone who was already well known, “not Yazan’s ass.”

“And when the Tell All comes on,” Brittany declares.

“I hope I get my apology from every single woman who attacked me and judged my character,” she expresses.

Sadly, she likely should not hold her breath for that.

The fact is that 90 Day Fiance has a real problem with both racism and misogyny — and also one with xenophobia and other bigotries.

It’s not just that a set proportion of reality TV viewers hold horrible views and have a lot of ignorance about things, though that’s part of the problem.

It’s also that the show’s editing — for drama, for storylines, to cast certain people as “villains” or “unreasonable” — time and time again reinforces these negative biases.

Brittany is not the first woman of color on whom the show has painted a target for hateful trolls to attack. She also will not be the last.

Very few of us would make the same decisions that she has made (the way that Yazan spoke to her when she arrived should have been a dealbreaker, period), but they’re her decisions.

The people who feel so furious — as if she were ruining their lives by making mistakes instead of just potentially messing up her own — have some soul-searching to do.

On the midseason premiere of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Season 2, Brittany Banks returned to the US from Jordan.

But even though she’s not divorced yet, she plans to go back to Jordan. Fans say that this is, well, bananas.

Seeing Brittany arrive home in Chicago was a breath of fresh air for many viewers.

It was a break from the yelling, the lying, and the ultimatums that she had faced in Jordan.

Plus, she got to see her mother and tell her some of what she had been going through with Yazan and Yazan’s family.

Brittany’s mom reminded her that Yazan absolutely has a right to know that Brittany is still married, albeit only on paper. Brittany agreed.

Her mother also expressed dismay that Yazan’s family was pressuring her to convert to Islam.

Brittany is not a religious person, and her mother could not imagine why someone would want to marry her daughter only to try to force her to change.

Brittany’s actual purpose behind the visit to Chicago was not, as she had claimed to Yazan, to see her sister’s baby — not entirely, anyway.

Her real goal was to answer an unexpected court summons over her divorce.

Brittany was hopeful that she would be able to be granted her divorce and return to Jordan, with Yazan and his family none the wiser to how last-minute the divorce truly was.

Alas, it was not to be.

Brittany’s divorce was not granted. In fact, some sort of clerical error apparently meant that Brittany had to restart the process from square one — all for a man she hasn’t seen in years.

There was no good news for the rapper and model … and clearly, that is just the beginning of her drama.

Brittany is about to return with no divorce to show for it.

She has tried every move to stall the wedding — one that Yazan’s parents wanted to happen just days later.

It took Yazan and his uncle’s urgent pleas to convince his family to give Brittany a month or so before the wedding. That extension may do her little good.

Additionally, it looks like Brittany will return to find that Yazan is in a whole mess of trouble.

Whether it’s Brittany’s Instagram photos, delaying the wedding, or something worse, Yazan appears to be in physical danger now.

And unless this is backlash from Brittany’s lie about her divorce … whatever threats he’s receiving may be partially the result of his own actions.

Obviously, no one should receive death threats, especially for literally any of the things that have Yazan’s family unhappy, be it Brittany’s photos or her hesitation to dive headfirst into a marriage.

Should Brittany and Yazan break up? Yes — because Yazan’s yelling and cursing at Brittany when she arrived should have been an automatic dealbreaker, period.

For that matter, Brittany’s own tendency to blow up Yazan’s phone and “give him an earful” is inexcusable. Relationships should never be toxic.

But as viewers have observed and Brittany herself has said, Yazan was not honest with her or with his family.

On the one side, he was telling Brittany that she can live her life in Jordan as before in most ways, which is in many ways true for Jordan as a country.

At the same time, he was assuring his parents that Brittany would convert to Islam and change her lifestyle, as this is the only way that they would accept the marriage.

The problem with trying to please both sides by saying whatever they want to hear is that, eventually, it’s a nasty shock for all parties involved.

Yazan had Brittany convinced that he was totally “Westernized,” but even if that is the case in his heart, his attachment to and fear of his family clearly prevents him from living his authentic life.

As a result, he has panicked and issued ultimatums to Brittany. It seems that he only told her what she wanted to hear until she actually arrived.

1. Brittany and Yazan have their share of issues

Brittany is speaking up to correct people who think that she just blindly moved to another country. But before we get to her series of comments, here is a brief recap of her struggles with Yazan and his family in the first half of Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.

2. Things aren’t quite what people assume

Contrary to what a sizable number of 90 Day Fiance fans have decided to believe, alcohol is legal in Jordan. There are bars in cities. Some restaurants serve it. Public intoxication is discouraged but that’s about it. And yes, as you can see in this photo, Brittany and Yazan can have fun in Jordan while wearing very little. There are Instagram influencers in Jordan, too — which is how Yazan’s conservative parents know about them.

3. But …

At times, Brittany has been straight-up not having a good time. Some fans have mocked her suffering, saying that she “should have known” before moving there. Some viewers have spouted straight-up ignorance about Jordan, Islam, and more in an almost gleeful game of “gotcha.”

4. But if it’s not Brittany or Jordan at fault …?

That first night showed us who the cause of Brittany’s repeated frustration, tears, and misery in Jordan was. Yazan yelled at her, screamed obscenities at her, and straight up told her that he did not respect her. Why? She brought a bottle of liquor, which is legal, into the country, and she hugged a producer.

5. This moment was unforgettable

Yazan repeatedly trying to shush Brittany, saying “hallas, hallas, hallas” (meaning “enough” in Arabic), lives in our minds rent-free. Any amount of yelling or obscenities should probably be a dealbreaker for a relationship, but certainly this should. Many of us cannot imagine showing anyone who did this the time of day.
