Okay? All good? Ready for a revealing look ahead?
Let’s do this…
On this episode of the beloved ABC drama, Meredith missed her court date, the one scheduled to address how she also missed community service in conjunction with her court-appointed sentence (as a result of committing insurance fraud).
Did she have a valid excuse?
Yes, her daughter was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.
But try telling that to the legal system.
When her attorney showed up at the conclusion of Thursday’s episode to deliver the news to Meredith, it wasn’t entirely positive. At all.
After revealing that she somehow got out the judge’s last “drop of humanity,” this lawyer shared that she would still have to serve out the remaining hours of her community service.
At home? Nope.
BOn the crew picking up trash on the side of the highway? Nope.
Meredith will be serving her missed time in actual prison.
In a new preview for next week’s Halloween-themed hour, Meredith — donning a red prison jumpsuit — is startled awake as her cellmate stares over her in their cell.
“You’re scaring me,” Meredith says, to which her cellmate pipes back: “Happy Halloween!”
Later on, our favorite surgeon complains that she’s missing the holiday, but the guard standing outside the stell bars is anything but sympathetic.
“You can go as Sad Mom,” the officer says. Ouch.
As for Bailey’s problems with fun-sized candy bars?
And the unique case that will occupy Alex’s attention?
