Kody and Meri Brown: All the Signs It’s Over

Let’s get this out of the way up front:

Kody Brown and Meri Brown are legally divorced. They split up years ago in order for Kody to marry fourth wife Robyn Brown and adopt her children.

And yet, these two have been operating as a married couple, raising kids together; starring on Sister Wives together; and talking about each other like a spouse, even if it’s just been of the spiritual variety.

But this really isn’t the case any longer. It hasn’t been for awhile.

Neither Meri nor Kody has confirmed any sort of romantic split, but scroll down, will ya?

You’ll soon see all the reasons to strongly believe this relationship is dead, over, kaput and long gone…

1. Thirty Years, Schmirty Years

Meri and Kody tied the knot in April 1990. But when the date of their 30-year wedding anniversary came around in 2020… crickets. Neither side made any reference on social media and the two did not celebrate together.

2. She’s Always the Victim!

Heading into the latest season of Sister Wives, we had a feeling things were amiss between the pair, as previews depicted Kody trashing Meri to Robyn, saying she always acts like a victim and is always whining.

3. He Always Sucks!

On the season itself, Kody and Meri clashed incessantly over the former urging the latter to get on board with his plan to build one giant mansion for the family… and Meri refusing to actually get on board.

4. Don’t Take Our Word for This Split, Though

Just think back to what Meri and Kody themselves have said about their marriage.

5. What Am I Doing Here?

“People ask me all the time why I don’t leave,” Meri said during a couples therapy session that aired in early 2020, prior to admitting: “The relationship between he and I is gone, it’s dead, it’s over.”

6. Who is This Woman?!?

Kody then explained how they had a “very fast courtship” and basically said he regretted ever marrying Meri: “I didn’t know who I was marrying. I am just done with hearing how I am wrong.”

Kody Brown Bursts Into Meri Brown LuLaRoe Facebook Live, Fans Wonder WTH is Going On

The relationship between Kody Brown and Meri Brown is many things these days:

Sad. Awkward. Dead, over and totally kaput, according to Meri herself.

But now a new video has surfaced that has caused fans to add a new descriptor to this spiritual marriage, and that descriptor is this: Confusing.

Allow us to set the stage here, okay?

Kody’s first wife, as loyal Sister Wives fans likely know, is a dedicated salesperson with the multi-level marketing company, LuLaRoe, a company that specializes in women’s attire.

On her LuLaRoe Facebook group, which boasts almost 100,000 members, Meri often hosts live sales events for the company’s clothing.

She’s been even more active these days while in quarantine.

Okay, so…

The veteran Sister Wives star recently hosted an online LuLaRoe sale on Facebook, which in and of itself would not be noteworthy, for the reasons outlined above.

In this recent case, though, according to YouTuber Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball, Kody actually barged into the room to interrupt the event Meri was hosting.

Random, right?!?

This was especially odd considering Meri has seemingly been on her own since Covid-19 broke out, even admitting over the weekend that she’s a tad sad and lonely as a result.

Is she really, though?

Or is she actually in a lot of touch with Kody after all?

Appearing stressed out, the father of 18 asked his wife to sign a stack of documents.

“Right now?” she asked.

Yes, Kody replied, saying he needed her signature immediately so he could go take care of the matter before offices closed.

The Sister Wives patriarch mentioned a “title,” but didn’t specify exactly what the documents were. (A “title,” though, would imply something real estated-related, which does jibe with ongoing events for the family.)

In the video, Meri joked that she had no idea what she was signing, although she didn’t seem all that taken aback by Kody’s intrusion.

This would imply that she is actually in regular contact with her estranged husband.

As Meri signed the documents and made photocopies, Kody and his first wife also chatted about his well-being during quarantine.

They seemed to be on very normal and cordial terms, which causes us to wonder:

Could all their dysfunction be a lie? Could the supposed tension between the couple be a load of BS, meant to simply goose ratings and draw attention to Sister Wives?

We have to now consider this possibility, right?

At another point in this unexpected footage, the Sister Wives couple even discussed the possibility of taking CBD for stress.

Meri said her daughter, Mariah Brown, and Mariah’s fiancée, Audrey Kriss, had suggested it to her.

Kody seemed open to the idea, referring to it as an “herbal supplement.”

The whole thing was just very, very strange.

Must we really now wonder whether Kody was straight up lying about his marital regret and question whether these two are on perfectly good terms?

Kody Brown: Who is His Favorite Sister Wife?

Throughout Season 14 of Sister Wives, Kody Brown clashed with all his Sister Wives.

At various points, Kody took issue with Meri, Christine, Robyn and Janelle — all because the family patriarch wanted to build one giant mansion in Flagstaff in which everyone would live.

And he was very much on his own in this desire.

Despite arguing with all four of his spouses over the course of these recent episodes, astute viewers could read between the fighting lines.

They could tell who Kody loved, despite the occasionl disagreement, and who he seemed truly sick and tired of.

This got us to thinking: Is there a clear favorite for Kody among the aforementioned beter halves?

How would we rank Meri, Christine, Robyn and Janelle; from Kody’s most-hated to his most-loved?

Your response to this question may be different from ours, but consider the rankings below and let us know what you think…

1. For the Record…

Kody brown yammers
… we think Kody is selfish and sexist and all four wives should leave HIM. We just wanna go on record with that opinion because we know how it would be interpreted, this ranking, as if the wives are somehow not worthy of Kody.

2. Let’s Get To It Then, Shall We?

Sister wives united
Kody married Meri in 1990, Janelle in 1993, Christine in 1994 and and Robyn in 2010… although one the latter marriage is legal and legitimate, so Kody could officially adopt Robyn’s kids.

3. Who is His Least Favorite Wife?

Meri brown is haunted
This is sadly easy. The answer is Meri. And we’re very confident that both Meri and Kody would agree.

4. Why Do We Say This?

Meri brown in 2019
Well… Meri hasn’t posted a picture alongside Kody at any point in 2020. The two didn’t spend time together on their 30th wedding anniversary and Meri is constantly sharing cryptic quotes about finding herself and about how one deserves to be with someone who seems value/worth in him/her.

5. Also?

“The relationship between he and I is gone, it’s dead, it’s over,” Meri told a therapist on a Sister Wives episode that aired this year.

6. Kody Doubled Down, Too

In his own confessional, Kody said that “Meri and I had a very fast courtship. I didn’t know who I was marrying.” He then confessed to basically regretting having ever married Meri. So… yeah. She comes in last.
