Nicole Nafziger Apologizes: Did She Exploit Death of Jason Hitch?

Last week, 90 Day Fiance alum Jason Hitch died after a battle with COVID-19. He was only 45.

Friends, family, and fellow 90 Day Fiance cast members have mourned Jason.

The account of one fellow alum of the franchise posted something very different — shameless clickbait seen as exploiting Jason’s death.

Nicole Nafziger is (once again) offering a heartfelt apology and an explanation.

Nicole Nafziger’s love story with Azan Tefou (real name Hassan M’Raouni) aired more recently than Jason’s story.

He appeared on the second season of the show, just as it was first begging to make headlines and draw attention.

After all, Jason shared a screen with Danielle Mullins and Mohamed Jbali and their messy marriage and split.

As far as we can tell, Nicole does not know Jason or his ex, Cassia Tavares, in any way.

She did, however, post a public message following his death.

At least, her Instagram account did … and it was not well-received.

A clickbait link was posted on Nicole’s account, one that was misleading and — many followers felt — ghoulish.

As a result, Nicole has once again found herself having to  apologize for misleading her followers.

That said, it was not Nicole’s intention, and her explanation makes a lot of sense if you are familiar with how some management companies work.

Nicole Nafziger IG clickbait apology, Jason Hitch statement

Nicole apologized and expressed her regret that this happened at all.

She also directed her apology, not just to her misled followers, but to Cassia and to Jason’s family.

As for the explanation, it’s simple: Nicole didn’t post the link.

A management company logs into her Instagram in order to post links to articles, some more relevant than others.

Most links are pretty innocuous, and only a few cause controversy and distress like this.

Fans and bloggers alike have acknowledged that this is how things work, and that Nicole is not malicious.

At the time of his December 14 death, Jason had been in the UCU of a Florida hospital.

He was unvaccinated and had no known preexisting conditions.

“He will be missed by his family and many friends and fans whom he adored,” his sister Shannon stated.

Jason is mourned not only by family and friends, but by fans — and by bloggers.

John Jates, Frauded, and others acknowledged that Jason had been among the first franchise stars to be open to interviews on social media.

This helped them to launch their reputations as bloggers. Jason also regularly spoke with fans.

Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Cassia Tavares, learned the news the same way that the rest of us did.

She and Jason had divorced in 2018.

Their marriage had included Jason being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and one previous filing for divorce.

Cassia Tavares IG statement on passing of Jason Hitch

“It’s always sad when someone you spent part of your life with stops breathing,” Cassia reflected on social media.

She went on: “I guess one could never be prepared for that. I wasn’t today.”

Cassia revealed that she had gotten the news on social media, at first assuming that fans were joking before she learned of Jason’s death.

In February of 2021, Cassia announced that she had remarried.

Originally Brazillian, her new wedding took place in an Italian courthouse.

No one expected for Jason to pass away so abruptly — least of all Jason himself. Our thoughts remain with his family and loved ones at this time.

Nicole Nafziger Dead? 90 Day Fiance Alum Slammed for Faking Her Own Death!

An apology, no matter how heartfelt, is not always a guarantee that it won’t happen again.

That’s what 90 Day Fiance fans are learning after Nicole Nafziger apologized for misleading her followers.

She’s back at it.

This time, Nicole is essentially faking her own death … but why?

On Instagram and on Twitter this week, Nicole Nafziger alarmed fans and followers.

“Heartbroken to confirm she is dead,” the post reads.

Over a photo of Nicole’s own face, the post also included a broken heart emoji.

Nicole Nafziger "death" tweet November 2021

Obviously, this was clickbait, with a whole “link in bio” message added on Instagram.

The link was not to a news story about Nicole’s tragic passing or to her obituary page.

Instead, the link led to a list of famous people who passed away in 2021.

It’s the time of year for those lists to go around, and many find them a tasteful way to remember who was lost to us this year.

Sharing the lists, out of sentiment or simply for clicks, is not unreasonable.

Making it appear that the person sharing the list has tragically died and that their family is sharing the sad news through her account … that’s pretty twisted.

Nicole’s death would be a tragedy for her, for her parents and sister, and especially for her young daughter, May.

Fortunately, she is alive and well.

Unfortunately, she is also getting some undestandable blowback from angry fans who feel tricked, hurt, and frankly, annoyed.

See, Nicole has done this sort of thing before.

Just last month, Nicole had some of her fans and followers thinking that she was pregnant.

Looking at her post, you can understand why people reached that conclusion:

Nicole Nafziger IG teases "surprise" with sonogram pic

“No, I am not pregnant,” Nicole had to then clarify on Instagram.

“Sorry for the confusing post,” she apologized, having deleted the initial sonogram post.

“Hope everyone is staying safe out there!” Nicole added. “Peace and love to all.”

Nicole Nafziger IG apologizes for "surprise" sonogram clickbait

Reality stars post things and then have to apologize for them all of the time, but they’re usually not … weird stuff like this.

But some public figures, and especially 90 Day Fiance stars, often sign on with management companies.

Which means that they hand over social media login information to a third party who can then post on their behalf.

One of the big incentives for becoming a reality TV star or otherwise becoming famous is monetization.

Nicole has certainly seized the opportunity to turn her fame into cash.

She might not make six or seven figures per ad, but Instagram endorsements of a product can go a long way.

Nicole Nafziger advertises weight loss tea (feb 2021)

Similarly, Nicole and other members of the cast share links to news, usually about the 90 Day Fiance franchise or related reality television.

Sometimes, these links are exciting news that their followers genuinely wanted to know.

That’s not always the case, though. The more egregious clickbait can elicit outrage and confusion.

Nicole does not have a monopoly on this. Just a couple of years ago, Deavan Clegg had her own link scandal.

This time, it wasn’t clickbait — her management shared a perfectly legitimate article covering recent Deavan news.

But a relatively simple explanation about immigration policy sparked backlash, and Deavan launched into an angry rant about the article’s contents. Whoops!

Ashley Martson: his time is up

On a very different note, Loren Brovarnik briefly feuded with Ashley Martson over a simple link that Ashley shared.

Loren was pregnant at the time with Shai, and Ashley’s management shared a photo from Loren’s announcement as part of the link teaser.

There was no real misinformation, but for some reason, Loren ended up under the impression that Ashley was stealing her pic for a pregnancy announcement of her own.

Danielle Mullins Jbali did not get rich appearing on 90 Day Fiance, which infamously pays its stars very little.

A few years ago, she even had to post a GoFundMe to make the money to avoid losing her home.

But at one point after her time with Mohamed had come to an end, she was in talks to get her very own makeover show, Mama June Shannon style.

Danielle and then-manager Gina Rodriguez (yes, Mama June’s manager) parted ways on sour terms and the show never happened.

The word from Gina’s camp was that Danielle was irrational and impossible to work with.

But Danielle’s side of the story was that they wanted login access to her social media to post clickbait that she could not delete — a total dealbreaker.

So Nicole is not alone.

But perhaps, because she has been so private about her former engagement to Azan and much of her life, she makes these headlines more often because she has so little news of her own.

We absolutely respect the hustle of her as a single mom raising a wonderful daughter, but we hope that Nicole can find something new. We’d love to see her on The Single Life.

Nicole Nafziger Pregnant? 90 Day Fiance Alum Apologizes for Misleading Fans

Just because 90 Day Fiance alum Nicole Nafziger is done with Azan Tefou doesn’t mean that she’s no longer famous.

She has a lot of followers and a lot of people who remain interested in her life.

Nicole, already a mother to 7-year-old May, recently teased exciting news and posted a sonogram photo.

However … she is not pregnant, and is apologizing for (once again) misleading fans.

“Surprise!” Nicole wrote on a post and on a matching Instagram Story this week.

Her words accompanied an ultrasound photo, a tell-tale sign of pregnancy.

Fans — particularly those who did not follow the link back to pregnancy news about another reality star — were confused and had questions.

Nicole Nafziger IG teases "surprise" with sonogram pic

“No, I am not pregnant,” Nicole clarified on her Instagram Story, deleting the original misleading update.

“Sorry for the confusing post,” she expressed.

“Hope everyone is staying safe out there!” Nicole wrote. “Peace and love to all.”

Nicole Nafziger IG apologizes for "surprise" sonogram clickbait

Why would Nicole post something misleading only to apologize for it? We can explain.

Public figures can use third parties, usually a manager, to better monetize their social media.

This is fairly common for reality stars, especially those who are less prominent (not a Kardashian or a Real Housewife).

While big-name celebrities like Selena Gomez or Beyonce can make six figures for a single Instagram ad, 90 Day Fiance stars aren’t quite there.

Instead, they can do Instagram product endorsements.

We have all seen Nicole do these from time to time. Those aren’t free — they are paid.

Nicole Nafziger advertises weight loss tea (feb 2021)

Additionally, they can share links to news that their followers may — or may not — find interesting or relevant.

Sometimes, these are right on the money, like sharing a link to an interview that they just gave.

Other times, these can be misleading, inspiring outrage in those who click the links and confusion in those who (for some unknown reason) do not.

A few years ago, Deavan Clegg’s management shared a link in her Instagram Stories.

She received backlash from some fans and went on an angry rant after because the article had briefly mentioned the political realities of immigration.

Most of the time, however, when these links cause anger, it is purely from feeling misled.

Ashley Martson: his time is up

More recently, Loren Brovarnik briefly feuded with Ashley Martson over a link.

Ashley’s management shared a link that included a photo from Loren’s first pregnancy announcement, when she was pregnant with Shai.

Somehow through the grapevine, Loren ended up mistakenly believing that Ashley was stealing her photo for her own announcement.

These days, Danielle Mullins Jbali is back in headlines after appearing on The Single Life.

But when she and Mohamed Jbali first broke up, there was nothing in the 90 Day Fiance franchise for a single like her.

For a while, however, she was prepared to launch a full-body makeover spinoff reality career on another network with a new manager.

However, Danielle and her would-be manager, Gina Rodriguez (yes, Mama June Shannon’s manager) parted ways on sour terms.

According to Gina’s side of things, Danielle was reportedly difficult or impossible to work with.

According to Danielle, however, this management wanted to be able to post links and ads on her social media, and she refused.

With all of that context, we can infer that Nicole likely had no idea that this was posted to her account.

Most of the stories that she shares are related to 90 Day Fiance and do not elicit this kind of blowback.

But every now and then, there’s one of these weird teasers — usually a sonogram or an “RIP” — and Nicole finds out the hard way.

Reality stardom is complicated, and very few people are in this without hoping to improve their finances.

Nicole is a single mom, working to support her daughter and also taking classes to further her education.

That is all commendable. It doesn’t make random, misleading ultrasounds any less baffling, but we at least understand how this happens.

Nicole Nafziger: I’m Done With Azan & I’m Enrolling in College!

After months of strong hints and hype, Nicole Nafziger confirmed her split with Azan this summer.

While many 90 Day Fiance fans were relieved, others are wondering what she’s up to these days.

After all, Nicole spent so many years of her life in this relationship.

What’s next?

“Here’s a couple life updates with me,” Nicole Nafziger began in an informative Instagram caption.

“I made a big decision in my life,” she revealed.

Nicole announced: “I’m enrolled in college at SCF!”

“It has been a challenge going back to school after so long,” Nicole admitted.

“But I am determined to make a better life,” she affirmed.

Nicole wants to build a better future “for me and my daughter.”

Nicole Nafziger IG life updates - enrolled in college, very over Azan

“I am currently working on pre recs to get into the Radiology program,” Nicole detailed.

She gushed: “I’m so blessed to have the supportive family that I do.”

Of her family, Nicole wrote: “They help keep me going on the days that I doubt myself.”

“For those who have asked,” Nicole added, “my relationship with Azan has ended.”

“I am currently concentrating on school,” she continued.

“And,” Nicole concluded, “making sure my focus is on what’s important.”

Over the past several years, 90 Day Fiance viewers have accused Nicole of doing just the opposite.

Throughout her relationship with Azan, they accused her of putting him first to the detriment of her daughter, May.

Major points of contention were her monetary gifts to him, her trips to see him, and taking May with her.

Viewers were especially divided when Nicole, then planning on spending the rest of her life with Azan, had May treat Azan like a stepdad.

By all accounts, the two did bond — but that was sort of what viewers feared.

Because fans did not trust Azan’s intentions, they worried that May would be impacted by the inevitable split.

Fans were downright relieved when Nicole did not take May with her on her trip to Morocco last year.

The visit was supposed to last just two weeks.

May spent that time with Robbalee, Nicole’s mother.

But the trip, long-planned and beginning in early March, did not last two weeks.

As you can imagine from the time frame, the COVID-19 pandemic hit just one week into Nicole’s visit.

Suddenly, her cute vacation to see her fiance turned into a global lockdown.

Nicole ended up remaining in Morocco for five months, returning late that summer.

(As we reported at the time, there were ways to get home … but not as easily as some fans seemed to think)

May was perfectly safe with her grandmother, and she and Nicole were overjoyed to be reunited.

Obviously, no one — aside from some very wise but tragically ignored epidemiologists — knew what was coming.

Nicole and May were not the only families separated during the pandemic.

For that matter, they weren’t the only 90 Day Fiance alums with that experience — Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya were apart for four months.

As happy as we are for Nicole and May and this college enrollment news, not everything is good right now.

Nicole’s father, Tyler Nafziger, was originally Azan’s sponsor for the K-1 visa … a visa that was never actually granted.

Tyler has a troubled history with crime and law enforcement, and was recently convicted for grand theft.

Tyler was arrested on September 7 for misdemeanor trespass.

As a known shoplifter, he was banned from Home Depot but allegedly trespassed anyway.

He was spotted and arrested by police without any major incident during his apprehension.

In addition to this being a potential trespassing charge, Tyler is also on parole.

This arrest was a parole violation for his recent grand theft arrest.

It is heartbreaking to consider how Tyler’s poverty — he is reportedly experiencing homelessness — is so inescapable that he cannot avoid arrest.

Tyler Nafziger: Father of 90 Day Fiance Star Nicole Nafziger Arrested for 10th Time in 2 Years

This month, after six months of strong suspicion by fans, Nicole Nafziger confirmed her split from Azan.

She still has a lot of fans — people who are excited to see where her life will take her next.

They do not feel the same way about her troubled father, Tyler Nafziger.

His latest arrest has 90 Day Fiance fans more concerned than ever, especially after learning that he’s homeless.

90 Day Fiance fans first “met” Tyler Nafziger when Nicole was introduced.

He agreed to be the co-sponsor of Nicole’s K-1 visa application for Azan.

Like their relationship, Azan’s K-1 visa application was not a success and the couple ultimately gave up.

Co-sponsors are sought when someone’s income does not meet a certain threshold.

On the one hand, this is a system clearly designed to curb legal immigration using material wealth to narrow candidates.

On the other, the general idea is that the K-1 visa recipient should be financially taken care of until they have a work visa.

So Tyler signing on as a co-sponsor meant that he was intended to provide some measure of stability for his daughter, just in case.

Clearly, things have changed dramatically in his life.

Over the past two years, Tyler has been arrested ten times.

Nicole Nafziger IG confirms split with Azan 12 July 2021

Even before Tyler’s most recent arrest, there was bad news.

Police spoke with Nicole’s mother, Tyler’s ex, Robbalee.

At that time, she confirmed a few things to law enforcement.

Robbalee confirmed that Tyler had not been in contact with her or any of her children.

She also shared that, to her knowledge, his phone had been shut off.

Finally, Robbalee confirmed to law enforcement that Tyler has been experiencing homelessness.

We won’t run through every single arrest because, well, there were ten of them over a very short stretch of time.

But on November 5 of 2020, Tyler was sentenced to 157 days behind bars.

He appears to have served that full sentence in Manatee County jail after his conviction.

Tyler was charged with stealing more than $750 in toiletries from a CVS.

He admitted to the theft.

This third degree felony theft conviction also resulted in him being fined $1,369.62.

Six months after being convicted, Tyler was arrested again.

This time, he was charged with grand theft, following a series of thefts.

These thefts took place at various home improvement stores.

Thousands of dollars of merchandise were stolen from these establishments.

In addition to theft being a crime, Tyler’s arrest was also a violation of his probation — from a prior drug possession arrest.

Tyler was convicted of grand theft last month, on June 18.

For this third degree felony, Tyler was sentenced to 90 days behidn bars.

Additionally, he will be placed on probation for 12 months.

27 days of his prison time have been credited for time served.

Once again, Tyler was assessed fines and fees — this time, adding up to $1,251.

On top of that, he was ordered to complete 75 hours of community service.

Finally, he must enroll in an “Advance Theft Offender Course.” We all hope that this recent arrest will be the last.

90 Day Fiance Stars Whose Journeys Ended in Heartbreak

90 Day Fiance follows couples on their international journeys of love.

Sometimes, it’s love at first sight and it lasts forever.

Other times, it takes months of courtship and convincing for two people to realize that they’re head over heels for each other.

But other times .. no matter how long it took to fall in love, they fall out of love.

Sometimes, the fallout is downright brutal.

Cheating, betrayals, using people for fame, manipulation …

Some stars run a gauntlet of misery.

Take a look at some of the most heartbroken stars in the franchise’s history.

1. Ashley Martson

Ashley martson cries on instagram
Jay Smith cheated on Ashley right after their wedding by downloading Tinder and chatting with an 18-year-old girl. A few months later, he cheated on her again, boning a random girl in a barbershop bathroom. A few months later, Ashley learned that he was sleeping with a mistress. Several months later, they reconciled, only to break up when a girl Jay was sleeping with (of course) claimed to be pregnant. They got back together the next year and vowed to make it work, only for Jay to once again cheat on Ashley. So not only did that story end in heartbreak, it had a lot of heartbreak along the way.

2. Rosemarie Vega

Rosemarie vega i feel hurt and i feel sad
Rose couldn’t have known what to expect from Big Ed Brown except, hopefully, a lot of love, a future together, and a better life for her son. Instead, he lied to her. He lied about his appearance, he shamed her over her body hair, false claims about her dental hygiene, and was weirdly insistent that she and only she take an STI test. The biggest lie, the one that broke them up forever, was his intention to have a vasectomy — something that Ed had hidden for months despite knowing that Rose wanted to have more children. She was devastated.

3. Danielle Mullins Jbali

Danielle mullins in tears
Mohamed Jbali wanted to come to America from Tunisia. Danielle Mullins wanted a hot, younger man to have sex with. They could have had a perfectly equitable exchange, except for a lot of backstabbing and insults and hurt feelings. A lot of those hurt feelings were Danielle’s. Was she using him? Of course. But it also seems like she loved him in her own way, and was devastated by their ugly divorce — to the point where, years later, she was still hung up on him.

4. Molly Hopkins

90 day fiance couple luis and molly
Molly met Luis Mendez while she was on vacation. Despite the age gap and a lot of suspicions, they got married. But though they both had their issues and got divorced, Luis was the one who was suddenly remarrying just five months later. Molly, on the other hand, took her time before moving on.

5. Jorge Nava

Jorge nava shares a holiday selfie
There’s no good way to get dumped, least of all by your wife, but allegedly being ghosted while you’re in prison because your (incarceration) weight loss is getting too much attention in comparison to your wife’s social media posts is … harsh. Now, Anfisa has strongly rejected that characterization of their breakup, but Jorge didn’t exactly have a wife waiting for him when he got out of prison, and yeah, that was rough.

6. Larissa Lima

Larissa lima sits in the cold sunlight
On camera, Larissa was an over-the-top dramatic woman who turned on a dime and was emotionally volatile. To some extent, sure, that’s true. But the truth is that she fell in love with a man who pursued her online — even after she blocked him a couple of times. They met up, and she was blown away when he proposed to her on their vacation. She came to the United States, leaving her family behind, to be with a man … and his mother. Larissa quickly discovered that despite Colt’s sex drive, he didn’t seem to show her affection like a normal boyfriend would, let alone a husband. After months of manipulation and being cheated on, their marriage ended in an ugly conflict, and she was left with $38 to her name. She was beyond devastated.

Nicole Nafziger Vows to Take Life One Day at a Time After Ending Engagement to Azan

Early this year, 90 Day Fiance alum Nicole Nafziger seemingly ended her engagement to Azan Tefou.

She “announced” this in the quietest way possible, yet in a way that fans immediately noticed.

Nicole still hasn’t said much at all about that change.

Now, however, she’s talking about her positive attitude while moving forward after the split.

“Just taking life one day at a time,” Nicole Nafziger captioned this radiant car selfie.

Nicole is a beautiful woman, and while her caption seems fairly generic influencer-speak, it sparked questions.

A horde of followers (a sizable number of whom were Spanish-speakers) asked about Nicole’s current status with Azan.

Nicole Nafziger IG new profile without Azan

But if fans want to see an update, they need look no further than Nicole’s bio.

Though she has never come out and openly discussed how things ended with Azan, they certain appear to be over.

For ages, she mentioned him, writing “Engaged to H” (for Hassan, his real name) in her bio. Now? No sign of it.

It’s possible that Nicole was tired of getting questions about the engagement, when they’d move forward, or “who is H?”

(I get it — if you don’t follow 90 Day Fiance closely, you likely don’t know that his name is Hassan M’Raouni)

But the most obvious conclusion when someone purges a fiance from their bio and stops talking about them is a breakup.

Over one year ago, in early March of 2020, Nicole flew to Morocco to see Azan.

It was their first face-to-face meeting in years.

Nicole had carefully saved up money for the trip, which was to last for two weeks.

In case you managed to suppress memory of the longest month that any human has ever experienced, March 2020 was eventful.

Nicole had been in Morocco — eating tajine, drinking Moroccan tea, and spending quality time with Azan — for less than a week.

Then, COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. Morocco shut down everything immediately … sadly, America’s federal response showed less alacrity.

Suddenly, Nicole was stuck in Morocco with nothing to do and a week left in her vacation.

Emergency repatriation flights exist, but they are expensive (especially for a single mom who just spent a lot of money on a vacation).

Nicole was also understandably afraid to fly under any circumstances while this deadly virus ravaged the globe.

May, her then 6-year-old (now 7-year-old!) daughter, was perfectly safe.

The sweet little girl stayed with her grandmother, Nicole’s mother, Robbalee.

Obviously, when Robbalee agreed to watch her for two weeks, no one imagined what March would bring.

Nicole returned five months later, more or less to the day, in early August.

The pandemic was still in full force in most places, particularly the United States.

But she could simply wait no longer and had to return, arriving to be with her family.

For months after her return, her bio read “engaged to H.”

We can only speculate what may have happened or not happened in order to make her edit her bio.

Interestingly, that is not the only change that she made — she is also promoting her Twitch stream.

Though no one aside from Nicole herself would be more excited than we would if her Twitch career takes off, it can take time to build an audience.

Yes, this is true even if you’re already famous.

In the mean time, fans believe that she is once again working at Starbucks.

When Nicole updates the world on her life again, we’ll let you know. She will always be a 90 Day Fiance alum.

She is, however, in that liminal space between public figure and quasi-private — purely because she is no longer actively filming reality TV.

If she gets cast on 90 Day: The Single Life next season or her Twitch career takes off, she’ll be in the spotlight once again.

Nicole Nafziger Accused of Fraud by 90 Day Fiance Fans: Stop LYING to Us!

January of 2021 came with a tremendous number of changes, many of them positive.

One such change was Nicole Nafziger ending her engagement to Azan Tefou after years of long distance romance.

This news came as a shock to 90 Day Fiance fans who thought that, frankly, she’d never end things.

But now, critics have another bone to pick with Nicole — and are accusing her of being a snakeoil salesman.

When Nicole stopped listing “engaged to H” on her bio, fans knew that she was making a big change.

(H stood for Hassan M’Raouni, Azan’s real name — like some other 90 Day Fiance stars, he used a stage name for the show)

At that time, Nicole mentioned that she was transitioning into Twitch streaming, hoping to launch a new career for herself.

Full time Twitch streamers, who livestream their video games to viewers, can do more than just pay the bills — it can be powerfully lucrative.

For many, this is nothing more than a pipe dream. In that way, it is similar to OnlyFans, because both require an audience to be profitable.

People who are already famous, however, often find that they have a head start with these online ventures because they already have fans and supporters.

But though Nicole’s earliest videos have already caught the attention of thousands of followers, she’s a single mom and of course won’t put all of her eggs in one basket.

As she did when she was at Starbucks, Nicole is also monetizing her impressive Instagram presence — and well over 600k followers.

Which leads us to why Nicole’s critics are so unhappy with her at the moment.

Nicole Nafziger advertises weight loss tea (feb 2021)

“Huge fan of this @flattummyco tea cleanse…” Nicole captioned this photo, which she dutifully labeled as an “#ad” per FCC regulations.

“Not just for the results,” she wrote, “but for how good it makes me and my tummy feel!”

Nicole praised the product for the alleged “Extra energy and a lil confidence boost to go with it.”

The first round of critical comments were nothing sort of cruel.

Commenter after commenter taunted Nicole with demands about when they would be seeing these results.

In other words, they were saying that they were not observing any weight loss from her, and wanted to rub that in her face.

But the second round of comments had nothing to do with Nicole’s body.

Instead, they targeted the product itself, and Nicole’s willingness to advertise it.

They essentially called Nicole a fraudster for promoting a controversial weight loss tea.

“Fit teas” in general work primarily by giving drinkers an energy boost from caffeine and by working as a laxative.

Laxatives have been used and abuse for weight loss by people who have disordered eating habits for many decades.

Long-term use of laxatives is believed to cause health problems. The body is simply not meant to have what we ingest do a speedrun of our intestines.

Selling these products on Instagram preys upon body-shaming elements of our culture, and people who are desperate for a weight loss solution are the most likely to buy.

However … other fans noted in the comments that Nicole is hardly a Kardashian. Unlike a Real Housewife or a major star, Nicole can’t afford to turn down this kind of gig.

Meanwhile, other fans just want answers on how things ended with Azan.

Nicole Nafziger: Totes Caught Praising Herself From Azan’s Instagram?

Over the weekend, 90 Day Fiance fans were stunned when Azan Tefou gushed on Instagram about Nicole Nafziger.

Did … did Nicole write that post herself? Evidence says that this may be exactly what happened.

Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou (whose real name is Hassan M’Raouni) have faced a lot of scrutiny for their lengthy, long-distance engagement.

Some fans can’t understand why they would stay engaged.

With so many obstacles to overcome before they can be together, a lot of fans think that they should move on.

Some fans still struggle to come to terms with how Nicole could stay with Azan after her body-shamed her on camera, albeit years ago.

Others are doing some body-shaming themselves, viciously suggesting that Nicole will never get her happily ever after because of her body type. Ugh.

But there is also a group of fans who think that, actually, Nicole and Azan have moved on … and that maybe they did so a long time ago.

These folks think that either Azan is just politely quiet about this supposed secret breakup … or has incentive to not say anything.

They think that Nicole pays him for occassional interactions, with some accusing her of paying him for their meet-up in March of this year.

For the record, there is no evidence of that whatsoever.

Azan Tefou IG praises Nicole Nafziger 8 November 2020

On Sunday, November 8, Azan’s Instagram account posted a gushing message towards Nicole, featuring a throwback from March of this year.

This was surprising because it is so unusual for Azan to post something personal. He mostly shares thirst traps.

In fact, he has not posted about Nicole since May of 2017 — three and a half years ago.

Azan Tefou Instagram feed sample

Azan’s Instagram account has a good-sized following, with over 100,000 people keeping up with his relatively rare posts.

That’s just a drop in the bucket beside Nicole, who has more than 680,000 followers on her Instagram.

But when we look at the details of Azan’s account, something interesting comes up.

Azan Tefou IG profile November 2020

Basic information about Instagram accounts, such as the year that they were created, is publicly accessible information.

For example, Azan’s account is four years old, having been created in the ominous month of November of 2016.

He has never changed usernames.

Azan Tefou IG created 2016 based in the US

However, Instagram says that Azan’s account is based in the United States.

Azan has famously not even been available to show up in person to Tell All specials, so fans are positive that he didn’t create his account in the US.

Instead, this makes fans believe that perhaps his Instagram is a sockpuppet … a phony run by none other than Nicole.

Azan Tefou IG shares 64% of followers with Nicole Nafziger

There are, of course, plenty of explanations for that.

One is the unlikely event in which Azan uses a VPN to operate his Instagram

VPNs can cause your virtual location to appear elsewhere in the world — a tool that people use to access another country’s Netflix or YouTube options, for example.

Another explanation would be if Nicole made the account and then handed it over to Azan, giftwrapped.

Not everyone is technologically proficient, after all.

But there is another possibility … one that would prove Nicole’s fiercest critics right yet still wrong at the same time.

We all know that plenty of people do not write their own tweets — they have social media managers for that.

Is there a chance that Nicole has been acting as Azan’s social media manager for years, posting only what he wants?

As she has said, not everyone is very interested in using Instagram. This could be something that she has done for him but of course would not tell fans.

That would be perfectly fine, and we would understand if she never chose to disclose this.

Fans would attack and mock her unfairly for doing what countless other reality stars do. Some people are very cruel.

Still … given that account data is publicly available, we hope that Nicole and Azan realized that this might one day come to light.

Nicole Nafziger Accused of Faking Posts After Azan Gushes About Her

90 Day Fiance fans like to give Nicole Nafziger a hard time for posting clickbait and Azan a hard time for posting nothing about Nicole.

But over the weekend, while the whole world was in a celebratory mood, Azan posted a gushing post about Nicole. But … did he really write it?

Over the weekend, Azan Tefou (real name Hassan M’Raouni) shared this throwback photo of him and Nicole Nafziger.

“I love you soooo much babe,” the touching Instagram caption begins.

“And,” the text gushed, “I miss you.”

“And,” the glowing caption concluded, “I’m so jealous of people who get to see you every day.”

The photo shared is from March of this year, when Nicole and Azan saw each other in person in Morocco before the pandemic sent the world into lockdown.

There is nothing inherently unusual about the caption from one fiance to another … except that it’s on Azan’s Instagram page.

If you’ve been following Azan for a while on Instagram, you know that he is not particularly active on social media.

When he does post, it’s almost always just a thirst trap.

Specifically, workout selfies. There are thousands of thirstbait fitness accounts just like his all over social media.

Azan Tefou Instagram feed sample

Azan takes his fitness very seriously, so seeing him posting workout pics and videos is no surprise.

But his last photo shared of Nicole (you can see it in the above screenshot from his page) was in May of 2017 — three and a half years ago.

The throwback that he posted of himself with sweet little May was posted in June of 2018.

While no one is exactly complaining about his eye-popping Instagram content, some fans have wondered why it seems so devoid of Nicole.

Now, most of the time, up-and-coming Instagram hotties avoid posting pics of a significant other because they want to maintain the illusion that they’re available.

Twitch streamers do the same thing. But that doesn’t make a lick of sense when it comes to Azan.

Why? Because the entire basis on his fame is his relationship with Nicole — and the same is true in reverse.

So unlike whichever 22-year-old pops up on your feed and makes you regret eating anything more than garnish for lunch, Azan stands to gain by posting pics with Nicole.

For years, now, 90 Day Fiance fans have demanded to know what’s going on since they are, need we remind you, very much still engaged.

Nicole has offered up her explanation for why Azan seems shy about their relationship in ways that he is not about flashing his tiddies.

“There are people (men and women) who feel they don’t need to post pics of their significant other on social media to show love,” Nicole reasoned.

“As long as he shows it to me, that’s what matters,” she affirmed on her Instagram Story.

“I’m a person who likes to post pictures and do the social media thing,” Nicole explained.

She continued, acknowledging that “It’s not a big thing for him.”

Nicole concluded her explanation with: “That doesn’t mean he loves me any less.”

Nicole Nafziger IG Q&A - why Azan doesn't post pics of her

That is a perfectly plausible and reasonably stated explanation — and more polite than plenty of stars would be when defending their relationship.

Notably, this is wholly consistent with Azan’s apparent disinterest in posting anything else.

We don’t see him Instagram his food or post pics when he’s out with friends or upload cat pics or whatever. It’s almost always just him hitting the gym and flaunting the results.

This has not stopped conspiracy theorists from coming up with their own explanations.

One popular theory is that Azan doesn’t control his Instagram at all, that Nicole posts everything there pretending to be him.

This theory has resurfaced with Azan’s rare personal message over the weekend, with doubters questioning if she wrote it about herself.

That sounds nuts, but it’s rooted in another weird conspiracy theory — that Nicole and Azan aren’t really together.

No conspiracy theory is a monolith, but it seems that many of these people believe that Nicole pays for attention and time from Azan.

We have to acknowledge that these rude theories are rooted in hostility and, frankly, in body-shaming directed towards Nicole.

It’s sad that some people think that something must be “up” if a girl with Nicole’s body type is with a guy with Azan’s.

The only piece of evidence in their corner is some body-shaming remarks that Azan made on camera several years ago. That’s it.

It seems more likely to us to, rather than jump to conclusions, accept the simplest explanation for Azan’s post — that he’s a private guy but felt like gushing.

Nicole Nafziger: #RIP Azan!! J/K IDK Who Runs My Instagram and Shares Clickbait on There!

Just last week, Nicole Nafziger confirmed she’s still engaged to Azan and quashed claims that she’s a homewrecker.

So color fans surprised when she appeared to announce that Azan … had died?!?

90 Day Fiance alum Nicole Nafziger is once again facing intense scrutiny on social media.

Why? Because her Instagram account posted a curious link in her Stories.

Alongside a photo of herself and fiance Azan Tefou (real name Hassan M’Raouni), she included the hashtag #RIP.

Nicole Nafziger IG Story clickbait - #RIP

Now, to understand what the post is about, one could simply swipe up on Nicole’s Story, as the message instructs.

Some folks either refuse to follow directions, have trouble nagivating Stories, or simply cannot be bothered to read past a headline and thus live their lives filled with confusion.

As a result, some fans bombarded Nicole with questions and criticisms.

Nicole Nafziger IG - that was an article about celebrities who have recently died

“DId he die?” one follower asked. “I can’t find the link.”

“No,” Nicole’s reply reads. “That was an article about celebrities that had passed recently.”

“If you want to read the article, the link is still in my bio. But it’s up to you,” she notes. “Hassan is alive and well.”

Nicole Nafziger IG - I get paid per click on #linkinbio posts

Another challenges Nicole for occassionally sharing “link in bio” clickbait articles.

“I work for a company that posts articles to my account,” Nicole patiently explains, “and I get paid per so many clicks. The truth.”

It’s probably worth noting that Nicole is far from the only 90 Day Fiance star to do this … but for some reason, she tends to get more grief over it.

“You should explain what is going on in your life without a link in your bio… to a page with 7 million ads,” one follower demanded of Nicole.

Another wrote: “I wanted to know why all of the clickbait,” but at least acknowledged that Nicole is free to keep “doing her thing” and “get her bread” by any means necessary.

Nicole quipped in reply: “I mean we all need bread right? I just get mine from a different place than yours.” Nicole after all does have a 6-year-old daughter to support.

Current and former 90 Day Fiance stars often share links like these, and they are far from alone.

Even Real Housewives share the same kinds of posts with fans and followers, using their platforms to monetize their fame while often boosting their own show’s spotlight and encouraging coverage of it in the process.

And we all know that 90 Day Fiance stars make pennies on the dollar when compared to even a mid-level Real Housewife.

Fans should be accustomed to seeing these posts by now, but there are a few bad apples who are eager for any excuse to give Nicole a hard time.

Notably, fans are not the only ones who have occassionally had problems with how reality stars share ads.

It was what, last year when 90 Day Fiance fan favorite Loren Brovarnik engaged in an all-out feud with Ashley Martson, seeing Ashley’s article link but assuming that she was “stealing” her baby announcement photo.

Nicole Nafziger: I’m Still Engaged to Azan and I’m NOT a Homewrecker!

If you’ve been following Nicole Nafziger closely on social media or following THG‘s extensive 90 Day Fiance coverage, you’re up to date.

You know that Nicole is back in the US and has been for about two months.

You also know that, just a few weeks ago, Nicole was gushing about making babies with Azan — whose real name is Hassan M’Raouni.

But Azan himself doesn’t exactly post a lot, or share much about his life.

And it’s been years since he actually posted to Instagram about Nicole, directly or indirectly.

Are they even still together?

1. Nicole misses Azan

Nicole nafziger in a moroccan dress with azan tefou
“Really missing my man today, I miss you,” Nicole captioned this recently shared photo on Instagram. In it, she is wearing a gorgeous magenta dress in a Moroccan style. The photo is from her 5-month stay in Morocco.

2. Are they still engaged?

Nicole nafziger ig still together october 2020
One fan — not meaning to sound as hostile as some perceived — asked Nicole if they are still together, writing: “You guys still engaged or together or what? damn let us know, i doubt you’re still under TLCs contract bc you or azan never returned to the damn show.” Nicole replied: “I mean I’ve said many times we are still together, plus I just posted about him, so yea.”

3. Snarky!

Nicole nafziger ig gotcha october 2020
Later in the thread, they both made it clear that they did not mean to offend the other. It’s hard to read the tone of text-only media!

4. Wait, isn’t Azan married?

Nicole nafziger ig wife rumor october 2020
No!!! As Nicole noted here, no matter how many times people parrot this rumor (without any evidence whatsoever), it’s still not true.

5. That rumor …

Azan tefou smiles on instagram
In case you need a refresher on the imaginations of bored 90 Day Fiance fans, earlier this year, someone conjured up a tale of Azan (whose real name is Hassan M’Raouni) being secretly married … to his cousin … with kids. This soap opera twist has never been backed up by any evidence whatsoever. If it had, we would report on it.

6. People are so silly!

Nicole nafziger ig not a homewrecker october 2020
Nicole affirms that she also has no desire to wreck anyone else’s marriage. (Keep in mind that third parties who only know one spouse are never “homewreckers;” that dubious honor falls on the cheating spouse and on them alone)

90 Day Fiance: Which Couples Broke Up in 2020?

90 Day Fiance is one of those franchises that sounds like it could be full of amazing love stories or just a total trainwreck.

Amazingly, the show manages to be both … which is why people can’t stop watching the TLC show and its 678 spinoffs.

Sometimes, you see couples like Kirlyam and Alan Cox, who met despite being from different continents but found love and happiness, got married, and are growing their families.

Then you have more … infamous couples.

Couples like Danielle Mullins and Mohamed Jbali, who seemed to be trying to out-scam each other until those schemes devolved into mutual loathing.

A lot of the couples fall into the middle somewhere.

Some are a little weird, some seem like soulmates.

Any marriage can go right or wrong, and becoming reality stars during your engagement adds an extra special twist to that.

Honestly, you might be shocked at how many of these couples are still together. And which ones aren’t.

1. Ashley Martson and Jay Smith

Ashley martson and jay smith on youtube
Even before Jay left Jamaica, Ashley was warned that he was cheating on her and that he would continue to do so. Sure enough, he he cheated on her just days after their wedding. Ashley forgave him — because she caught him before he could *physically* cheat. Ashley filed for divorce on January 11, 2019, after Jay banged a random woman in the bathroom. They reconciled less than two weeks later. Ashley filed for divorce in April 2019, after discovering that Jay was cheating with a mistress. They reconciled late that summer, and only revealed that when they once again broke up. Then, in March of 2020, Ashley and Jay revealed that they were back together during the COVID-19 pandemic. In August of 2020, after months of celebrating their renewed marriage and launching multiple business ventures, they celebrated their third wedding anniversary. On September 19, 2020, Ashley announced on Instagram that she and Jay had decided to end their marriage — for good this time — citing that she could not let go of his many, many betrayals and transgressions.

2. Fernanda Flores and Jonathan Rivera

Fernanda flores and jonathan rivera
Fernanda and Jonathan met while Jon was clubbing on vacation. He ended up extending that vacation. Despite an age gap, some homesickness, and a lot of doubts, the two tied the knot. Unfortunately, the couple split around New Year’s Eve after getting into an argument. Initially, Jon said that Fernanda had been hurtful towards him. Months later, Fernanda shared a lengthy video with witness statements, accusing Jon of being controlling, abusive, and a fraud. In 2020, Fernanda dipped her toes back into the dating world via video chats during the pandemic, while Jon became engaged to his new love.

3. Larissa Lima and Eric Nichols

Larissa lima and eric nichols have an announcement
Larissa joined Tinder in early February of 2019, where she saw an ottery hottie. That turned out to be Eric Nichols, a guy in his mid-twenties. Still grieving the end of her marriage, Larissa began dating this total upgrade, eventually debuting him at her divorce party in March of that year. Though the two had their ups and downs, including a September 11 breakup (whoops) that year, they reconciled weeks later and resolved to make it work. Eric tended to Larissa after both bouts of major cosmetic surgeries in 2020. On September 19, 2020, Larissa and Eric embarked upon a road trip in a U-haul to their new home in Colorado Springs after buying a house together. They are still together.

4. Jenny and Sumit

Sumit and jenny together
This The Other Way couple had one of the most dramatic storylines in all of 2020, and Sumit’s secret marriage (and children!) shocked even the head honchos over at TLC. But the two returned for 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’s second season, and are determined to make it work … if Sumit can actually go through with his plans to divorce.

5. Molly Hopkins and Luis Mendez

90 day fiance couple luis and molly
Molly and Luis broke up after a lot of arguments, an attempted reconciliation, and even the implication that Molly was abusive. Luis remarried to a mystery woman just four months after his divorce was finalized. Molly and Luis both claim that the other was using them. Late in the summer of 2020, it was reported that Luis might soon be deported, as his new marriage was not to an American citizen.

6. Angela and Michael

Angela deem and michael ilesanmi first meeting
In late January of 2020, Angela and Michael were finally married, having a ceremony in Nigeria. Despite a lot of ups and downs and controversies, they remain together as of April 2020, even donating handmade masks to McDonald’s workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are, however, not physically together — the pandemic and immigration hurdles mean that their physical reunion is likely years away.

Nicole Nafziger: I Can’t WAIT to Make Babies with Azan!

A month ago, Nicole Nafziger was gushing to fans about her “baby fever” shortly after returning to the US from Morocco.

Now, she’s being much more direct as she addresses the topic to the 90 Day Fiance fandom.

Yes, she wants babies with Azan.

That’s not a euphemism for looking forward to being intimate with him again, either.

She is excited to give baby May younger siblings with the man she loves.

There is a specific milestone that she’s waiting for.

Nicole has a lot more to say — check it out below.

1. It’s baby-making time!

Azan tefou and nicole nafziger stuck together
Well, not right away, but as Nicole says — as you can see below — she is looking forward to growing her family with Azan.

2. Nicole is a proud aunt

3. Nicole is already a loving mother

6-year-old May is excited to no longer be the “baby” of the family and adores her newborn cousin.

4. Adriana is Taylor’s baby

Taylor is Nicole’s sister. Their mother, Robbalee, posted this throwback pic to announce the happy news early this summer.

5. Of course, Nicole wasn’t here at the time

She was in Morocco, as her two week vacation to see Azan (real name Hassan M’Raouni) was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and stretched into a 5-month extended stay.

6. At least she got to have fun

It wasn’t what she had hoped, of course, but she made the best of an impossible situation.

Nicole Nafziger: Trust Me, Azan Really DOES Love Me!!

Once again, Nicole Nafziger is trying to clear up misconceptions about Azan.

This time, she’s explaining to fans why she gushes about Azan, but he never seems to post about her.

To say that 90 Day Fiance fans have a lot of questions about Nicole and Azan’s engagement is an understatement.

Some of them think that the romance is fake, or that Nicole is delusional, or that if she’s not lying to herself, she’s lying to them.

Questions are understandable, but sometimes commenters are downright mean. There’s no reason for that.

Some of the questions — both gently phrased and cruel — are about social media.

Nicole has posted a number of photos and even videos of herself with Azan, over the years and earlier this year during her trip to Morocco.

Azan (whose real name is Hassan M’Raouni) seems to use Instagram very differently.

Mostly, he posts thirst trapping gym selfies. And look, nobody’s complaining about this.

But the last time that he posted a photo of Nicole was in May of 2017.

Thirteen months later, he posted a throwback photo of little May, Nicole’s daughter.

Azan Tefou Instagram feed sample

Since then, his Instagram feed has been nothing but weights, biceps, and his gym-honed tiddies, as the youths would say.

While he’s not the most active Instagrammer, his latest thirst trap is from September 7. The previous two were both in August.

So why, fans want to know, is Azan only posting about his arms and not about his fiancee?

Nicole addressed this question very delicately in a Q&A in her Instagram Stories.

“There are people (men and women) who feel they don’t need to post pics of their significant other on social media to show love,” she begins.

“As long as he shows it to me,” Nicole states, “that’s what matters.”

“I’m a person who likes to post pictures and do the social media thing,” Nicole characterizes.

In contrast, she notes, “It’s not a big thing for him.”

“That doesn’t mean he loves me any less,” Nicole concludes.

Nicole Nafziger IG Q&A - why Azan doesn't post pics of her

Her characterization of how some people and couples operate is … not inaccurate.

Among those of us who are not reality stars, it’s very common to have an online brand that doesn’t include mushy “I love you!!!” posts.

However, because so many reality stars are very performative of any relationship that they aren’t keeping secret, it’s a surprise to many to see Azan not engage.

Others, wannabe “truthers” about Nicole and Azan, think that Nicole is lying to her fans — and possibly to herself.

Some of them think that she pays Azan for the meet-ups and photos that she shares.

While she has admitted to sending him money in the past (what Millennials do not regularly send money to friends and loved ones?), the idea that he’s her rented boytoy are a bit much.

Others think that Nicole simply shares old photos and that she and Azan have broken up.

Folks, the pics that she shared in March of this year, before going into lockdown, looked very authentic.

The photo quality, the way that Nicole looked and styled her hair, and more … none of that appeared to be a throwback in disguise.

The final theory is that Azan is “ashamed” of his relationship with Nicole and tries to hide it.

First up, her photo is still right there on his Instagram page, even if it’s not recent.

Second of all, do you know how many fitness models, influencers, and Twitch streamers play their romances low-key to avoid driving off horny fans? That seems like a simpler explanation.

Or, you know, there’s the explanation that Nicole has offered.

We’re not saying that no one is allowed to have questions about Nicole, or that anyone thinking that all of the love in the world isn’t worth it with a relationship with so many obstacles.

But Nicole’s answer seems reasonably plausible. Unless Azan says something different, Nicole would know better than, well, any of us why her relationship is like it is.
