The Hottest Bachelors in History: Where Does Matt James Rank?

With Matt James ready to make history on ABC, it’s almost time to talk about The Bachelor spoilers … but also this:

Which Bachelor is the #1 hottest of all time!?

‘Cause, even if ABC does scour the Earth for eligible dudes who are the total package, that’s still a real debate.

And subjective, we know. But a fun one!

For those keeping score, Matt is the star of The Bachelor‘s 25th season, making him the 24th Bachelor of all time.

(Brad Womack famously got two cracks at the job … and yet didn’t get a happily ever, or even close, after either).

Obviously, Matt is the first black Bachelor, and the franchise’s second black lead overall, following Rachel Lindsay.

The show’s low-key racism and how it needs to handle Matt’s 2021 season are topics that will be debated at length.

But we’re glad he’s the new leading man of the franchise, and today we’re just here for pointless fun in his honor.

Gaze at the ghosts of Bachelors past, see for yourself who’s the hottest of the hot and where you’d rank Matt.

Matt Grant is, if you couldn’t immediately tell, British. He’s the first (and only) British Bachelor, in fact. Amazingly, he gave his final rose to none other than Shayne Lamas. They were then engaged for like 40 minutes before she upgraded BIGLY to celebrity gossip blogging legend, scholar and entrepreneur Nik Richie.

23. Lorenzo Borghese

If there were a Bachelor, and season of The Bachelor, that left less than a memorable impression, it might have to be Lorenzo Borghese. He is eminently forgettable. But he’s not exactly hard to look upon.

22. Andrew Firestone

Is Andrew Firestone a contender for Hottest Bachelor Ever? Maybe. Do you remember that he was actually on The Bachelor? Less-convincing maybe.

Peter Weber Celebrates Anniversary With Kelley Flanagan, Fuels Bachelor Conspiracy Theory

Many hated it, and a few probably loved it, but no matter how you felt about it personally, there’s no denying that Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor was one of the weirdest in the show’s history.

And unfortunately for Pilot Pete, the postponement of Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette means fans have nothing to distract them from endlessly rehashing his bizarre tenure as Rosemaster General.

These days, Peter is happily dating Kelley Flanagan, and it looks as though the relationship is getting serious.

In fact, there have been rumors that Peter is planning to propose to Kelley.

Obviously, the objective of the Bachelor is an eligible single like Peter finding his future wife among an army of recent college grads who may or may not be there for the sole purpose of boosting their Instagram following (this is what’s known as one of “the wrong reasons”).

So in that sense, Peter’s season was a success.

But these two took a long, twisty path to happiness, and they left a lot of broken hearts along the way.

This week, Peter marked the occasion of their first meeting by posting a tribute to Kelley on his Instagram page.

But the post had the unintended consequence of reviving allegations that the two of them lied to an entire nation abut the origins of their relationship.

Alongside a video of the lovebirds dancing up a storm at his 10-year high school reunion, Peter wrote:

“A year ago today I met this one in a hotel lobby. We danced the night away and then went our separate ways. I truly didn’t know if I’d see her again. This life is beautiful, beautiful. Let’s see what’s next.”

Now, we’ve known from the start that Peter and Kelley met before she was cast on The Bachelor.

The story goes that she was coincidentally staying in the hotel where his reunion was being held; he encouraged her to try out for the show, and the rest is history.

But for many fans, that narrative leaves some unanswered questions:

For starters, did Peter and Kelley hook up that fateful night in Los Angeles?

Based on the video Pete posted, we’re gonna say that’s a solid “hell yeah.”

The alternative is that they got drunk, danced together, hit it off so well that she upended her life to try out for his reality show … and then they quietly went to their separate rooms at the end of the night.

Now obviously, Peter and Kelley are consenting adults, and if they want to bang and then keep it a secret, that’s their prerogative.

But the knowledge of their secret smush session casts Peter’s entire season in a different light — and it might help to explain why the whole thing was so freakin’ strange.

Was the fix in from the start?

Did Peter and Kelley know they were gonna end up together from the very beginning?

Is that why she was so oddly self-assured right before he sent her packing?

And if that’s the case, why did they drag everyone through that long, torturous process?

The obvious answer is money.

Peter and Kelley were both paid for their time on the show — 100 grand for just a few months’ work, in Peter’s case — and now, they’re both raking it in through Cameo and sponsored content posts on Instagram.

Obviously, they would have sacrificed all of that if they announced that they were in love and walked away from the show.

But if they had an arrangement from the very beginning, why did Pete give Kelley the heave-ho before the Hometown Round?

There are several possible explanations there, the most obvious being that Pete was thinking with his little head and wanted to “sample the wares,” shall we say, before settling down with Kelley.

It’s also possible that Peter and Kelley wanted their charade to seem more believable.

Whatever the case, it seems more and more likely that these two had heart eyes for each other long before their first one-on-one date.

That could be proof that the process works, as these two were able to strengthen their connection, even with the distraction of 29 other contestants.

Or, it could be evidence that this show is as rigged as professional wrestling, and no one is really there for the right reasons.

Bachelor Peter Weber Shares Never-Before-Seen Footage Of The Night He Met GF Kelley Flanagan!

Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett Embark on Date Night: We Don’t Need Peter Weber!

If you watched Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, you might have wound up feeling confused, frustrated, and more than a little angry at the end.

So you can imagine how Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett must have felt!

We only had to watch as Peter stomped on people’s emotions while he struggled to make up his mind like a petulant child in an ice cream shop.

They had to live through it!

You’d think after an experience like that, these would want nothing to do with one another.

After all, who wants to be reminded of the time they were dumped by a mama’s boy on national TV?

But something remarkable happened this week — Hannah Ann and Madison revealed that they enjoy a closer bond than either of them ever had with Peter.

Take a look:

Peter Weber: Is He Ready to Propose to Kelley Flanagan?

It’s been about three months since the citizens of Bachelor Nation learned that Peter Weber is dating Kelley Flanagan.

This came as quite a shock, as Peter had just auditioned 30 women for the role of his future wife, and Kelley was one of the many he sent home before she even got to the round where he meets her parents.

Like, it would be one thing if Peter was torn between two women; he proposed to the “wrong” one; and then immediately had a change of heart.

But that’s not what happened.

Instead, Weber proposed to Hannah Ann Sluss; she accepted; and then he sort of ghosted for a few weeks until she got the hint.

After that, Peter “dated” Madison Prewett for literally two days, and then they went their separate ways.

Only then did the guy finally get together with Kelley.

But hey, we’re not judging their origin story.

If anything, the fact that Peter is so picky and yet seems so committed to Kelley might bode well for the future of their relationship.

These two met on The Bachelor, so it’s not surprising that there have already been whispers about Peter and Kelley getting engaged.

And Peter’s latest slickly-produced video love letter to Kelley is sure to get the rumor mill churning overtime.

Peter captioned the clip, “Spin The Globe: Miami”

We can’t be the only ones who were expecting Pete to get down on one knee at the end of this clip.

Sadly, this isn’t an engagement video, it’s just — actually, we don’ know what it is.

A commercial for Peter and Kelley?

A pitch to ABC execs for a Peter and Kelley spinoff?

A bit of travel-gloating for the benefit of a still-quarantined Instagram audience?

Anyway, even without ther dramatic ending, reviews for Peter and Kelley: The Movie have been overwhelmingly positive.

“That drone cinematography is on another level Pete!” wrote one fan.

(The guy does seem to know his way around a drone. We guess that’s not terribly surprising, considering his day job.)

I love the excitement you guys share…how will this fairy tale continue when you both return to the”real world”? I hope being back in the grind won’t be too boring!!

We hate to be cynical, but it is a legitimate concern.

These two went from a reality show to losing each other to this current situation where they’re quarantined together, but still able to travel the world for free thanks to his job as a pilot.

It’ll be almost impossible for them to not experience a little disappointment as the excitement dies down, and they both return to work full-time.

Hopefully, their love will be enough to guide them through.

Oh, and hopefully when he does pop the question, Peter doesn’t use the same ring he gave to Hannah Ann.

That would not be a good look.

Madison Prewett: I Broke Down Crying After Barb Dissed Me on TV!

Madison Prewett has admitted that her heart isn’t ready to date again after Peter Weber.

Worse than the breakup, perhaps, was her feud with Peter’s mom. How does she feel about Barb these days?

On Monday night, Chris Harrison used The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever to touch base with Madison Prewett and Hannah Ann Sluss.

Naturally, he brought up the most infamous moment of Peter’s season — when his mother tearfully begged him to dump Madison.

“As far as with Barb,” Madison says after months of reflection, “there’s absolutely no hard feelings there.”

“She is a great mom,” she praises.

“And,” Madison opines, “she was just doing her job as a mom.”

She says that Barb was simply acting “to protect her son in the way that she felt like she needed to.”

In this case, warning Peter that things with Madison would not work out — and being absolutely right.

“So,” Madison expresses, “I wish them all the best.”

Chris Harrison chose to poke a little fun at Madison’s forgiving statement.

“I’m proud of you for saying that,” he expressed.

“But,” he teased, “there’s zero chance there was no hard feelings.”

If that is the case, that’s fine. Barb was doing right by her son, but Madison is entitled to feel bitter about it if she chooses.

It was at After The Final Rose that Peter and Madison made their debut as a couple.

Barb pointed out — correctly — that they were not a compatible pair.

She also accurately stated of her impulsive, horny son: “He’s going to have to fail to succeed.”

“Everyone that knows him,” Barb stated at the time, “knows it’s not going to work.” She was, of course, right.

“I was very upset after,” Madison acknowledges, “I really was.”

“But now,” she explains, “I’m just in such a good place now.”

It seems that time and a sense of perspective have healed her heart.

“But after the show,” Madison confirms, “yes, I cried”

While Madison has apparently moved on from those hurt feelings, Peter has moved on in other ways.

Obviously, he is currently boning Kelley Flanagan — a relationship that has earned Barb’s seal of approval.

But Madison doesn’t harbor any ill will towards Kelley, either.

“Kelley and I were really close on the show,” Madison recalls.

“Obviously I loved Peter,” Madison points out.

“And,” she continues, “I’m happy that he’s found a person that he feels he can be the best version of himself with.”

That is a very diplomatic, carefully worded way of phrasing that.

Madison is happy that Kelley is someone who can make him happy “and that his family loves and supports.”

Additionally, Madison and Hannah Ann are getting along well despite sharing an ex.

Speaking to Chris Harrison, both outrageously gorgeous women informed him that they are  “good friends.”

Following their respective breakups with Peter, they have kept in touch.

That’s great to see, and we wonder if we will one day see them hanging out on Bachelor in Paradise or elsewhere.

Madison may have moved on emotionally, but she doesn’t sound up for dating again.

Right now, she says, she’s just trying to work on herself.

The same cannot be said for the jaw-droppingly gorgeous Hannah Ann, however.

She proudly announces that her DMs are “open!”

Chris Harrison could not resist stirring the pot by asking if either of them are currently interested in getting back together with Chris.

“What kind of question is that, Chris Harrison?” Hannah Ann asks indignantly.

She adds: “I think we already know the answer to that one.”

Yes, we probably do.

Peter Weber’s Mom: I’m So Happy He’s F–king Kelley! She’s the Daughter I Never Had!

Last month, it became very apparent that Barb approves of Kelley Flanagan after she and Peter Weber went public with their not-so-secret romance.

Now, Barb is taking it further, publicly declaring that Kelley is like the daughter she “always wanted.”

“Post-show, honestly, I’m doing good,” Peter reveals while speaking to Chris Harrison on Monday night’s The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons.

He gushes: “I’m extremely happy.”

“It feels so good to be able to say that,” Peter raves.

“And,” he expresses, “I’m just very hopeful for the future.”

“This is my girl,” Peter announces to Chris Harrison, referring to Kelley Flanagan.

This may seem like old news to us, but some viewers may have not seen anything about Peter since he was last on TV.

Those of us on social media who keep up with the blogs can forget how far behind people can be if they’re not very Online.

“I am very, very happy with this one,” he gushes.

“We are just really excited for the future,” Peter raves.

He speaks of how “When this [pandemic] finally ends, we both have dreams.”

‘We’d love to live in New York City for a little bit,” Peter expresses, “and get that experience.”

“So hopefully fingers crossed that’s in our future…” he says.

“And,” Peter shares, he and Kelley want to take the time to “just enjoy each other.”

“It’s been great….” he reflects.

“I remember going in, and I wanted that love story more than anything,” Peter shares.

“And I can honestly say it worked out in the end,” he affirms.

“So, thank you,” Peter expresses.

He adds: “Thank you, Bachelor Nation for standing by me and all my craziness.”

“But,” Peter concludes, “it worked out.”

And he is not the only member of the family who is happy that he found Kelley.

Barb, one of the most polarizing Bachelor Fam parents in recent memory, also showed up to give Peter and Kelley her blessing.

“It’s a dream come true,” Peter’s mom gushes. “I love her.”

“I love her so much,” Barb affirms. “We get along so great.”

“And,” she characterizes, “she’s the daughter that I’ve always wanted.”

“We’re giving Kelley the key [to the house],” Barb jokes.

At least, we think that she was joking.

Peter then adds, definitely joking, saying: “Kelley’s moving into my parents’ house.”

“No, I’m just kidding, I’m kidding,” he declares.

Peter came under fire for being a “mama’s boy” after Barb’s tearful plea for him to choose Hannah Ann over Madison.

In reality, she knew that Peter and Madison were not an ideal fit.

And no matter what Madison’s most hardcore fans though, she was right. Madison and Peter both know that.

Peter didn’t end up with Hannah Ann, but it looks like he found happiness anyway. That’s a win for him and for Kelley.

Peter has opened up in the past about how The Bachelor has limitations — not every contestant can show their best sides on the show.

That’s not a euphemism for nudity, either.

People behave differently on camera. Often, couples have to wait until the Fantasy Suites to really get to know each other.

That’s not a euphemism for boning, either. We mean talking. Besides, plenty of folks don’t wait for Fantasy Suites to take it to pound town.

It was only out in the real world that Peter was able to reconnect with Kelley, first as friends, then as friends who bang each other’s brains out.

Now they’ve found real love, which is a beautiful thing.

Earning Barb’s seal of a approval can be tricky, but should make for smooth sailing for as long as their romance lasts.

For now, they’re enjoying each other’s company and looking forward to the future.
