The Bachelor Week 2 Preview: Down with (Hannah) Brown!

You know how all those Bachelor fans out there are angry that Hannah Brown has returned to the franchise that made her famous?

Well… they aren’t alone.

As is made clear in the following official trailer for Peter Weber’s second week as the most sought after reality star on television, most of the suitors are mighty peeved about Hannah’s comeback as well.

Peeved, we should say, and upset.

The teaser for Week 2 — THE BACHELOR SPOILERS ALERT — shows a great deal of tension over Hannah’s appearance and, of course, lots and lots of tears.

Natasha tells Sydney at one point: “I wasn’t going to sit there and say, ‘It’s all right,’ when it’s not.”

Later, Mykenna tearfully tells the other women:

“I’m fighting for my chance to be here and I’m fighting for love, and I’m going to do what I have to do.”

At various points, we also see shots of an emotional Brown, who, of course, rejected Weber from The Bachelorette several months ago and expressed regret over this decision on last Monday’s season premiere.

“I don’t know what I did,” Hannah blurted out about her time on The Bachelorette, confessing to Peter her “heart was confused” and full-on sobbing.

“I don’t know what the f-ck I was doing,” she added last week of choosing Jed over Peter.

Peter was all kinds of perplexed while hearing all this.

“I don’t know what to do right now,” he said. “I’m so confused and this is the first week that this whole thing is starting. And I’m obviously not 100 percent where I thought I was.”

It then sounded as if Peter invited Hannah to actually be a Season 24 contestant, which is when the premiere cut to black and left viewers hanging. Big time.

Where will things pick up next week?

With controversy continuing to rage over Brown swooping in and trying to be with Peter… again.

“He can go be with Hannah. I’m going home. I’m done,” says one woman at one point.

And, really, can you blame her? Or anyone for thinking Hannah is way in the wrong here? We mean… she had her chance, you know?

Will she actually stick around for the long run?

Peter Weber: I Wanted to Quit The Bachelor to Be With Hannah Brown!

While some viewers are crying foul about Hannah Brown’s return to TV to appear on Peter Weber’s season, how does The Bachelor himself feal?

It turns out that the moment that he saw her again, he felt an impulse to ditch the other contestants and run off with Hannah. Wow!

On the Season 24 premiere of The Bachelor, Peter Weber had an emotional reunion with his ex, Hannah Brown.

They dated on reality television. That’s a big deal.

They also porked four times in a windmill. Famously. And ABC is not shying away from that in the slightest.

It is only natural that they both have a lot of emotional baggage with each other … but for Peter, it nearly broke him.

Peter has opened up about his experience — just a little — and reflected upon what it was like to lock eyes with Hannah again.

He says that he had truly believed that he was over his ex until that moment.

But when he sees her, Peter admits, he just wants to kiss her and be with her.

That’s almost standard fare when it comes to seeing your ex again, if your breakup wasn’t too nasty.

Peter says that — at least from his perspective — the conversation with Hannah wasn’t planned.

A producer had simply told him that Hannah was in an emotional state, so he went to check on her.

They had a very emotionally charged conversation, which resulted in Hannah’s infamous mascara-smeared face.

Peter admitted to Hannah at that time that he didn’t feel like he should be anyone’s third choice.

Peter admitted to the camera that he, very reasonably, wanted to be with someone who desired him as much as he desires them.

He had been so confident that Hannah would choose him in the end.

Instead, Peter admits, he felt blindsided when she sent him packing on her season.

But even after all of that, part of him wants to be with Hannah and to send all of these unknown contestants packing.

Peter even confessed that “I definitely considered quitting the show in that moment.”

Does that sound bonkers to you? Even Peter knows that it was nuts to even think about missing out on this opportunity.

But Peter is very aware of his lingering feelings towards her.

If Hannah had asked him out instead of Tyler Cameron after she ditched Jed, Peter says that he would have been all for it.

Some viewers are absolutely outraged and incensed that Hannah is showing up at all on Peter’s season.

If you have been engaging on social media about The Bachelor, and especially if that engagement has taken place with older users, you know this.

Some feel that she has overstayed her welcome on teleision, between this and Dancing With The Stars.

Hannah is a very polarizing person. The “windmill” revelation that made so many of us fall in love with her made others despise and resent her.

This is exactly why producers wanted her back, of course. That Peter had such a strong reaction just makes it even better, from their perspective.

Victoria Fuller Wears White Lives Matter Hat; Is Peter Weber Dating a Racist?

If you’ve been following The Bachelor Spoilers, you already knew that Victoria Fuller is controversial on multiple levels.

Well, Victoria F’s latest scandal is really making fans question Peter’s taste. Is he cool with racism?

Fair warning, folks, that there will be a number of spoilers for Peter’s season in this article.

We’ll warn you when those begin, down at the bottom.

But first, we’re going to talk about the scandal itself, which is just not endearing Victoria to anyone at all.

Victoria Fuller was already causing a stir when a number of her acquaintances leaked that she’s an alleged homewrecker.

Now, a cheating man is always the primary wrongdoer, not the side piece.

But according to the accusations released a short time after Victoria’s casting was announced, she has a pattern of doing this.

Worse, she allegedly does this to her friends — which means that she, too, is betraying their trust.

A man can tell a side piece anything about his relationship if she doesn’t know his girlfriend. But when everybody knows each other, it’s different.

So what’s the new scandal? A series of photos of Victoria Fuller sporting “White Lives Matter” hats.

The hats are blue and feature the white letters “WLM” prominently, and yes, that’s really the acronym.

Even “All Lives Matter” is nothing more than a dog whistle that white supremacists use to try to drown out black protesters who don’t like being murdered.

With that in mind, anyone seeing these photos has to wonder if Victoria F is some kind of straight-up nazi.

The good news is that the photos aren’t quite as bad as they appear.

First of all, Victoria is a model, so sometimes posing with a hat with an ojbectively bad slogan on it is part of the job.

(And remember, sometimes models get photoshopped into new outfits altogether, like the models of color in stock photos who now appear in Trump swag)

Second of all, the “White Lives Matter” slogan isn’t so much about white nationalism as it is about … fish.

wlm marlin lives matter logo

Yes, there’s a company that sells swag for marlin conservation using that slogan, and we are not making that up.

“Marlin Conservation can be such a beautiful thing,” reads Victoria F’s photo’s caption on Facebook.

The caption continues: “Here’s To Our Newest Model Helping us Spread The Word.”

Modeling for something is a job, not an endorsement. And, again, this is about fish.

Clearly, “WLM” is in reference to a specific type of Marlin, but everyone has to wonder why in the world anyone would choose that slogan.

Why, for example, did they not go with “MLM,” a much more intuitive slogan for Marlin Lives Matter?

Well, MLM already stands for two things — multi-level marketing, also known as pyramid schemes. We all know someone in one of those.

MLM also stands for “men (who) love men,” an umbrella term for men who are gay, bi, pan, or use another label.

We can only speculate as to the motivations behind why someone would come up with a deeply controversial slogan in the name of conservation.

Maybe their target demographic would prefer for people to assume that they’re white nationalists than gay?

But it seems more likely that they were trying to court controversy in order to attract attention and awareness.

Either way, Victoria Fuller is not, to the best of our knowledge, trying to silence or harass black people protesting murders committed by police.

Here is where some spoilers begin, so read at your own risk.

TMZ reports that they got their hands on evidence that Victoria and Peter went on a walk with her dog, Buxton, in October.

This wasn’t just any walk — this was in her hometown. That means hometown dates, which confirms that she made it very far in Peter’s season.

Victoria is a controversial young woman, so if she’s sticking around this long in the season, viewers are in for a roller coaster.

Peter Weber: Mike Johnson Would Have Been a Great Bachelor, But …

Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor is just days away, but a lot of people are saying that Mike Johnson should have been the Bachelor.

24 is a lot of seasons to go without a single black male lead. Peter is tackling that complicated discussion head-on.

Entertainment Tonight asked Peter Weber about the controversy surrounding his casting over another fan-favorite, Mike Johnson.

Peter was not in charge of casting, of course, but he’s still at the center of that contentious choice.

Before giving his full answer, he was sure to make one thing explicitly clear.

“I love Mike,” Peter states. We all do.

“A, I didn’t make this decision, right?” Peter reminded everyone.

“I was very grateful to accept it and move forward,” he acknowledged.

Peter emphasized: “But listen, regardless of race, of identity or whatnot, everybody is deserving of love.”

“And I’m not the only person,” he hastily added.

“Mike would’ve been a great Bachelor,” Peter correctly opined.

He continued: “Tyler [Cameron] could have been a great Bachelor.”

“They picked me,” Peter noted, “and I’m very excited and very humbled.”

He gushed: “And I can’t wait for this journey to begin!”

“I’m all for diversity,” Peter affirmed, “and I’m excited for this journey.”

He shared his plans “to maybe date some diverse women that I haven’t dated before.”

That’s awkwardly phrased but we understand his meaning.

“I haven’t found my person yet,” he said of his past relationships, “so maybe I just haven’t been dating the right type of person.”

Peter made it clear that he did not begrudge anyone for their choices.

“I totally get [the criticism], it’s fair,” he promised.

“All I can say is I’m so grateful to have this opportunity,” Peter stated.

He concluded: “And I wish you know Mike and everyone all the love in the world.”

Mike johnson will he be the next bachelor

“I think of diversity more than just black and white,” Mike Johnson said in a previous interview.

“And yes, Peter has a Cuban mom,” he acknowledged.

“But let’s just be honest — he’s white, right?” Mike characterized, referring to how Peter is viewed by others.

He added: “And that’s just being completely transparent.”

Cuban is a nationality, and Cubans may have a number of ethnic backgrounds. Gina Torres, Melissa Fumero, and Bella Thorne are all Cuban.

“I think that there should be an Asian lead, an Indian lead…” Mike expressed.

He emphasized: “Diversity is not just black and white. It’s not just salt and pepper.”

He’s right about that. But a black Bachelor is long, long overdue. 24 seasons without one is not a coincidence.

“After 24 seasons, a black Bachelor should have been cast,” Mike correctly stated.

He did acknowledge that “knows what they’re doing for their audience.”

Reading between the lines, he is throwing some well-deserved shade at the Bachelor Nation.

Similarly, Rachel Lindsay before him had stated that the Bachelor Nation — not America as a whole — was a shade too racist to tune in to a black lead.

ABC is still courting viewership ratings from racists who would have skipped Season 24 if Mike had been chosen.

That’s so sad, but not Peter’s fault.
