Peter Weber and Madison Prewett: It’s Over! After Two Days!

Peter Weber and Madison Prewett will not make it down the aisle.

Heck, Peter Weber and Madison Prewett will not even make it to their one-week anniversary.

The couple, who got together just two days ago on The Bachelor Seasn 24 finale, have ended their relationship, Peter confirmed in a statement Thursday night.

“I want to start by acknowledging the incredible group of women that I had the privilege of getting to know this season,” Weber said on Instagram.

“Thank you for coming on this journey with me. I learned so many lessons from all of you that I will carry with me.”

Weber did not address the rumor that he dumped Prewett for fellow suitor Kelley Flanagan, choosing instead to shower his very short-term girlfriend with praise and adulation.

“Madi, thank you for your patience and unconditional love,” the pilot wrote.

“You’re the epitome of a woman who carries herself with grace, stands by what she believes in, and loves wholeheartedly.”

“That love is something I feel so grateful to have felt and will take a piece of that with me always going forward.”

Peter and Madison went on quite a journey this past season.

They seemed like a solid and compatible match … until Prewett told Weber during Fantasy Suite Week that she was a virgin who was saving herself for marriage.

She explained to Peter that she’d have a major problem if he slept with other women on the show, prompting Weber to admit that he had, indeed, been intimate with some other contestants.

Prewett was crushed.

But Peter convinced her to stick around the show anyway, at least for a little while.

On the first half of a two-part finale, Madison was basically told by Peter’s mom that she wasn’t the right woman for him.

She then left the program on her own accord, only to return on part two after Chris Harrison visited her at home and said Weber had ended his engagement to Hannah Ann Sluss (below), to whom he proposed after Madison peaced out.

THEN, on the aforementioned After the Final Rose special, Peter and Madison agreed to date.

That was on Tuesday night.

Fast forward about 48 hours – and here we are.

“Madi and I have mutually decided to not pursue our relationship any further,” Peter continued in his break-up message.

“Believe me this was not easy for either of us to be ok with, but after a lot of honest conversations, we have agreed that this is what makes most sense for the two of us.

“The love and respect I have for Madi will continue to endure.”

As for Sluss, who trashed Peter as a liar and a child this week?

“Hannah Ann, you set an example for women everywhere a couple nights ago,” Weber wrote.

“You are such a strong, confident woman and you deserve all the love in the world.”

“I accept full responsibility for my mistakes in our relationship and wish you only the best.”

All he could really say after she tore him a new one Tuesday.

The 28-year-old reality star concluded:

This has been an emotional experience and I am so grateful for the outreach of support that I have received from friends, family, and Bachelor Nation in the last few days.

Thank you to all of you!

This is just another chapter in my story. One I will never forget and one I will always cherish.

Prewett, meanwhile, also had kind words for Weber and The Bachelor in her Instagram announcement.

“So incredibly thankful for this amazing journey I’ve had the honor of being a part of,” she wrote.

“I have grown so much and am stronger than I was going in.”

“I have learned the importance of acceptance, forgiveness, and grace.”

She then acknowledged the two were no longer an item, but with no hard feelings of any kind involved.

“As Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways, I am confident that we will both move in the direction of our purpose and never forget that God has a plan in all things,” Madison wrote.

“I will always love and respect him.”

“I am convinced our paths were meant to cross and we are both better because they did,” Madison said, eloquently.

And, finally, the 23-year-old Auburn graduate tagged Peter’s Instagram handle upon bidding him goodbye.

Truly forever? We’ll see, folks.

She wrote:

@pilot_pete you are an amazing guy and I’m thankful for you. I will always be your biggest fan.

And to the amazing women I met this season, I will love you for life.

Thank you @abcnetwork for allowing me to embark on this journey.

Wow, so there you have it, Bachelor Nation.

Is it possible for something to be both shocking and totally expected at the same time?

On Tuesday’s live finale, Prewett joined Weber on stage and defended herself when his mother Barbara voiced her disapproval of the relationship.

“I think this isn’t just Peter’s journey,” she said.

“When you sign up to come on a show like this, you’re looking for love, too,” she said. “This wasn’t just Peter looking for his wife.”

“I totally understand as a mother you’re going to be thinking about Peter, but this is my journey, too.”

‘This isn’t just Peter choosing me. This is me choosing Peter.”

When Barbara said that her son was “going to have to fail to succeed,” Weber fired back:

“I’m telling you that I love Madison and that should be enough.”

Alas, it was not. And, alas, Barbara ended up being right.

That’s the most devastating part of all this.

Hannah Ann Sluss: Peter Weber Speaks in Half-Truths, Takes Advantage of People, Has "Different Values" Than Madison

Forget the annual Women Tell All special on The Bachelor.

It’s time for just one woman to tell all.

Almost as soon as Tuesday night’s After the Final Rose special concluded, Hannah Ann Sluss joined Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.

Along with two popular leads of the franchise, this season’s runner-up broke down how she was feeling after a totally insane end to the season we just witnessed.

For those who need a refresher:

Peter Weber proposed to Hannah Ann on the taped finale…

… only for the two to later meet up in Los Angeles …

… where Weber confessed he wasn’t all-in on this engagement thing after all, took back his diamond ring, and ended his run as The Bachelor by happily dating runner-up Madison Prewett.

It was. A lot.

Hannah Ann was able to at least confront Weber on the After the Final Rose special, ripping him a new one in the process.

“Even after our breakup, you reached out to my parents saying that you were just processing your emotions and that you wished more that anything we had met outside of reality TV,” she said.

“How does that make any sense? You signed up to be the Bachelor. You told me these things that I held onto.”

She might as well have dropped a mic when she said, “If you want to be with a woman, you need to become a real man.”

BAM!

So, what else could Hannah Ann have to say about her experience?

For starters, she doesn’t have tons of hope that Peter and Madison will last, and not just because the former is a hornball doofus and the latter a virgin who is saving herself for marriage.

sad hannah ann

“I think Peter and Madison love different lifestyles and hold different values,” Sluss said on this podcast.

“I don’t think this is exactly just an issue with the fantasy suites,” Hannah Ann clarifies.

“I think it’s lifestyles and how you see life and how you judge everything in life.”

When the hosts asked if Peter said anything else about Madison’s exit before proposing, Hannah Ann revealed he did not.

“It was completely downplayed,” she said.

“[He] didn’t give me the courtesy or respect to have a sit-down conversation, [like,] ‘Hey this is what’s been going on this week.”

“He just told me that very quickly and downplayed it and immediately went to ‘but my heart chooses you. You’re the love of my life. I want to spend forever with you.'”

Trust your gut? Hannah Ann really wishes she had.

‘My instincts were telling me I wasn’t getting all the information I needed to make a decision with Peter,” Sluss now says.

“That’s intuition and that’s instincts and should I have stayed on that bed in Australia? Absolutely.”

“But I wasn’t going to give up on someone I loved.”

“In the end, I think he took advantage of the fact that he conveniently left out very important information prior to me making a commitment with him.”

After Peter and Sluss broke up, Weber actually reached out to her mom and dad, Hannah Ann said on the podcast. Why?

To basically defend himself and tell them he was really “struggling processing his emotions” and was “vague” about everything.

“He speaks half-truths,” Sluss accused.

“While I’m watching this season I’m like, ‘Oh OK, that makes a lot more sense. Why we broke up makes a whole lot more sense because he couldn’t really own how he was truly feeling.'”

What about the controversial return of Hannah Brown, Peter’s former love and the woman he boinked four times inside of a windmill?

Sluss regrets not realizing how effed up Weber was for saying on air he needed “closure” with the former Bachelorette…

… while actively seeking a fiancee on The Bachelor.

“This is something where you don’t feel like you’re ready for any kind of commitment, let alone engagement,” she said on the podcast.

‘That was the first red flag. I was questioning my own self.”

For those curious about the timeline, Sluss also clarifiied:

Filming wrapped right before Thanksgiving in November 2019… they spent New Year’s together… and ended it at the end of January.

To the chagrin of many fans, Hannah Ann will not be the next Bachelorette. But she still feels good about her future.

Watching the season was “really helpful” for Hannah Ann, she now says.

This is how she wrapped up her podcast interview:

“It’s helped me work through any unresolved feelings I had toward him because I’m able to see how he is consistently indecisive and confused. And who wants to be with that?”

“That doesn’t make me feel secure in being with him.”

In the end?

It’s really helped me move forward because I know I deserve more than someone half loving me. I deserve someone that’s going to give me 100 percent.

I felt like me being so clear and not playing mind games with him, that he would give me that in return. But really, he was just reckless with my heart.

Hannah Ann Sluss Tears Peter Weber a New One on After the Final Rose Special

Hannah Ann Sluss is a woman scorned.

And also a woman angry.

And we don’t blame her one bit.

On the most dramatic Bachelor finale in show history, Peter Weber proposed to Hannah Ann after Madison Prewett left the show…

… only to then basically take it back a short time later when the couple met up in Los Angeles.

“I’m so sorry. Like, this is, like, never what I ever, ever envisioned, ever,” he said in a feeble attempt to comfort his now-ex when he dumped her, admitting  he just couldn’t be all-in with Hannah Ann.

We later learned why: Because he was still in love with Madison and ended his run as The Bachelor by getting into a relationship with the proud virgin.

sad hannah ann

Fast forward to the After the Final Rose special and Peter sitting across from Hannah Ann on stage.

“Hannah Ann, when I told you I love you, I did love you. I swear to God,” he told her, adding:

“I swear to God, I never would have proposed to you if I didn’t feel that love in my heart. I swear. And believe me, it kills me so much to know what I took away from you.

“That is something I have to live with, and I wish I could give it back to you more than anything.”

Did this make everything okay between him and Madison? HA! No!

“I knew things were definitely off between us, but walking into and hearing that you couldn’t give me your full heart, that was very blindsiding to me,” Hannah Ann told him.

“You knew what to tell me to keep me with you. One of the most important things was that letting me walk away would be the biggest regret of your life. Words are powerful, Peter.

“Either you don’t mean what you say or you don’t understand the weight of your words and how they impact people. So which one is it?”

She wasn’t done eviscerating him, either.

“You knew how serious I was about an engagement you knew me saying yes to you aiw as always going to stand by even through the worse,” she added.

“You told me things that kept me with you. Even after our breakup, you reached out to my parents saying that you were just processing your emotions and that you wished more that anything we had met outside of reality TV.

“How does that make any sense? You signed up to be the Bachelor. You told me these things that I held onto.”

Worst. Proposal. EVER.

To Peter’s credit, we guess, he didn’t try to make any excuses for his actions.

“Everything that you’re saying is one hundred percent fair,” he said.

Thankfully, though, Sluss got the final word.

“Word of advice, if you want to be with a woman, you need to become a real man,” she fired back.

Well said, right?

The Bachelor Finale: This Freaking Guy …

Chris Harrison tried to warn us, didn’t he?

All those Bachelor spoilers tried to make it clear, didn’t they?

Heck, even random ABC executives spoke out on Tuesday night’s Season 24 finale, labeling it as dramatic and shocking and unprecedented in the history of this show.

So… did the fiinale live up to the hype? And is Peter Weber now the most villainous lead of all-time?

Following Madison’s decision to leave The Bachelor – after nearly being told to by Peter’s controlling and demanding mother – Tuesday’s season-ended opened with Hannah Ann all stressed out about who Peter would pick.

She didn’t know Madison was no longer an option – and Peter didn’t tell her right away.

Instead, he saved this tidbit for his actual, rambling proposal, which may have been the least romantic request of marriage we’ve ever seen.

And yet: Hannah Ann said yes!

The couple was happy for about .02 seconds, right up until Hannah Ann visited Peter in Los Angeles.

Both sides admitted things had been hard, with Hannah Ann telling Peter she really hadn’t been there for him since the two agreed to wed.

At this, Peter confessed that he wasn’t able to give Hannah Ann his entire heart and BOOM, that was it. Relationship over.

sad hannah ann

The show then cut to Chris Harrison paying Madison a visit, almost as if this had been in the script all along.

The host filled the virgin in on how Peter and Hannah Ann had gotten engaged and then broken up and asked if Madison was still in love with the pilot.

“I mean, like I know that I fell in love with him and those feelings have not gone away,” she replied.

“But I don’t know where his head is at and what’s going on with his mom right now. I guess it’s just a little confusing to me.”

Harrison tried to make it more clear, telling Madison “I think his dream is he would be with you.”

“I’m like shaking,” Madison said, with a smile. “I mean, if we had a second chance at this, I’d take it in a heartbeat.”

And take it she did, agreeing to return to Los Angeles and fight for the love she thought had died when Peter slept with other women right in front of her eyes and then she got all mad and then his mom bawled over the prospect of Peter ending up with her.

The finale then cut to Madison arriving in Los Angeles, where she found Peter poolside at a home. He pretended to be surprised she was there.

“Chris came and told me what happened and the situation. I just knew I wanted to see you,” Madison explained.

“I fell for you and that never changed and I have been struggling with it ever since I got home until now and what I like felt for you in Australia, literally, like, it has not gone away at all.

“I think in a way I was hoping that it would and I would get closure and I just never did.

‘I know that I still have so much love in my heart for you.”

Peter was in shock. Very happy shock, that is.

“I made a million and one mistakes, but like I know that I fell in love with you and I know that I said that I messed up … and I’m so sorry for that,” he told Madison.

‘But like I just haven’t fallen out of love with you. Obviously we hurt both of each other like crazy and obviously you’re here right now for a reason.”

So, what do we do, he asked…  just before ABC went from the finale to the live After the Final Rose special.

“I love Peter and that hasn’t changed since that day in Australia,” Madison said, sitting alongside the pilot on stage and adding:

“And the love and care that we have for one another, I feel like it’s so evident and obviously. …. Those feelings just never went away.”

As for Weber?

“We’ve both been really hurt, extremely hurt … and I know there’s a lot of healing that both of us have to do,” he said.

“But, I’m still sitting here on a couch next to you right now and through everything, that makes me happy.”

“Do you want to give this relationship a real shot?” Harrison asked.

“I think that I know how we both feel about each other and I feel like taking it one step at a time, one day at a time is possibly the smartest,” responded Weber.

And there you have it, Bachelor Nation.

Peter proposed to Hannah Ann in a half-assed manner; dumped her almost immediately; and ended the season simply dating Madison without any commitment to get married.

What a ride, huh?
