Selling Sunset: Renewed for Season 4 AND 5 by Netflix!

We’ve more or less known that Selling Sunset would be renewed by Netflix. Like, obviously.

Now, we have confirmation — and know a lot more about the upcoming seasons of the hit reality show.

TMZ reports that Netflix has renewed Selling Sunset.

Not only is the headline-grabbing reality series getting a fourth season, they are also getting a fifth.

The brokerage firm has had a bit of a shake-up … but that won’t have as much of an impact on the cast as you might think.

Brett Oppenheim and Davina Potratz have both left the firm to pursue other career opportunities.

Davina cut and ran last month, signing on to rival Douglas Elliman in Beverly Hills.

And Brett left the family business, as we reported earlier this year, to set up one of his own.

However, production sources have spilled that they will both remain part of the series when Season 4 begins principal photography.

That season’s filming is set to begin in Spring of 2021.

Cameras will follow both of them as their storylines continue.

Brett’s storyline is expected to be pretty tame.

But when it comes to Davina, things are predicted to be fiery and even catty, per TMZ‘s sources.

That is nothing new for Davina, who is often at the center of a maelstrom of drama (and fake drama).

Back in September, Christine Quinn referred to the cast, as a whole, as a bunch of “thirsty bitches.”

That is not necessarily untrue.

She will be reutnring, to absolutely no one’s surprise. And naturally, she is not alone.

Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Maya Vander, Heather Rae Young, and Amanza Smith will return.

So will Jason Oppenheim and Mary’s beau, Romain Bonnet.

All of them finalized their deals just last week.

Chrishell’s return is the least surprising thing in the world.

The majority of the headlines that Selling Sunset made this year revolved around her ugly, somewhat bizarre divorce from handsome actor Justin Hartley.

While her divorce from the This Is Us star surely cannot dominate entertainment news forever, it more than earned her a continuing role.

Netflix has apparently ordered a plethora of episodes, not only for Season 4 but also for Season 5.

They would probably be filming again already were it not for obvious concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show has a large cast and an even more sizable crew, and unlike some reality shows, they cannot simply sequester in a single mansion or compound.

That’s not how the show works. Once you cut past all of the personal drama and general nonsense, it’s a business, not a fraternity.

With that in mind, the show will have to work on the logistics of filming a series like this during a pandemic.

Production will want to be as cautious as they possibly can, even though many hope that the first vaccine rollouts can begin early next year.

There is more, however. Heather is technically leaving the Oppenheim Group.

She’s doing this after being handpicked by Jason to start a new branch of the brokerage in Newport Beach.

This will help to effectively expand the company’s business throughout California. This is not expected to impact her role on the show.

Heather is also engaged to Flip Or Flop star Tarek El Moussa.

Reportedly, permission has been secured for Tarek to appear in a future episode of Selling Sunset.

He didn’t appear in previous seasons because of contractual conflicts. Now, he has been given the green light.

Selling Sunset: Is It Renewed or Canceled by Netflix?

There have been hints about Selling Sunset being renewed for Season 4, but no confirmations yet.

Now, Christine Quinn is answering fan questions about the show’s future.

There is no question that Chrishell Stause took center stage on this season of Selling Sunset — at least as far as headlines were concerned.

But similarly, Christine Quinn was undoubtedly a close second, snagging headlines, interviews, and even a swelteringly hot Maxim cover.

And she has a lot to say about their hit Netflix series’ future.

TMZ caught up with Christine outside of The London Hotel in WeHo.

There, they naturally asked if she could confirm that Selling Sunset is a go for Season 4.

While she doesn’t have any good news for anyone, she doesn’t sound worried.

Christine confirmed to TMZ that she is confident about the show getting renewed for eason 4.

She refers to Selling Sunset as good vibes for her and her “thirsty bitches.”

Though she says that Netflix hasn’t said anything yet, she notes that after Season 3, a renewal is just common sense.

Off of the top of her head, Christine was able to note some stats about how well the show did in Season 3 — info of which Netflix’s decision makers are surely well-aware.

Now, Christine says that she does not expect to see any major changes to the show’s cast.

She explains that the cast is likely to remain the same, joking that “all the bitches are so thirsty they’ll do anything for a dollar.”

Now, there were some cancelation anxieties after the news that Brett left The Oppenheim Group to start his own brokerage.

Brett Oppenheim ran the firm with his twin brother, Jason. It’s kind of a big deal.

But Christine doesn’t want anyone to worry, and suspects that Brett will still show up … even if he’s not part of the firm, he could still easily be part of the show.

Interestingly, this summer, Chrishell Stause posted this photo of her celebrating some sort of secret good news with some castmates.

“Carpe Diem!!” she captioned the pic. “Celebrating good news we can’t tell you about.”

She even tagged the pic with “#SellingSunset” … which sure seems like a major hint of the show’s renewal.

So … does Chrishell know something that Christine does not?

It would be painfully awkward if one of them learned that the show was renewed before the other.

Does this mean that Christine was let go from the cast? Our guess is … no.

Chrishell Stause for DWTS Season 29

In fact, despite her castmates surrounding her and the tag that she used, Chrishell may have been referring to wholly different good news.

She is, after all, on this season of Dancing With The Stars.

Chrishell may have been celebrating her casting news with castmates, unable to share the topic because she was under NDA.

There is also the possibility that the show has been renewed but it’s not public yet, and Christine just said that she didn’t know yet because she wanted to be a good cast member.

Playing coy about renewal status can get you in almost as much trouble as leaking the official news. It’s smart to just not speak up.

Netflix makes some weird, often upsetting decisions about renewals based upon a bizarre business model, but for the sake of the show’s legions of fans, let’s hope for renewal news, soon!

Christine Quinn: Selling Sunset Star STUNS in Alluring Maxim Cover

Selling Sunset has been making headlines everywhere this summer, and the stars are taking full advantage.

Now, Christine Quinn is thirst trapping the world with a jaw-dropping Maxim cover.

Maxim is well known for having an eye for some of the most gorgeous ladies on the planet.

From models plucked from obscurity to celebrities ready to showcase their assets, this is the magazine.

The Down Under iteration of the magazine is no different, and Christine Quinn is a total knockout.

Normally, we would make a joke about how the Selling Sunset star looks as hot as some part of California’s geography at the moment.

But considering the devastating infernos that have raged along the west coast for weeks, reddening the sun and darkening the sky … maybe we’ll skip that.

We will also avoid calling Christine the absolute smokeshow that she clearly is. The puns can wait for the disasters to end … if they can end.

In August, Christine opened up about how vicious some people can be.

When the new season of Selling Sunset aired, there was a spike in “hurtful” social media criticism directed at her.

“People that don’t know me say hurtful things,” she lamented about the online abuse.

“I’m just like, ‘Ugh, whatever,'” Christine characterized her response.

She expressed that she reminds herself: “I don’t know these people.”

It is more difficult to keep that sense of perspective when the hate is originating closer to home.

“But when I hear stuff from other people… That’s upsetting,” Christine confessed.

“Sometimes, it hurts my feelings,” she acknowledged. We would be amazed if it did not.

She added: “Sometimes, it makes me cry.” Many reality stars know that life.

Christine is one of the stars of Selling Sunset, a Netflix reality series following realtors from The Oppenheim Group.

Many shows about real estate follow only one family or focus almost entirely upon the actual houses.

Part of this show’s appeal is its ensemble cast and how thoroughly the show explores their personal lives. Realty is not at the forefront.

Part of what made this season of Selling Sunset so sensational was some very personal drama.

Christine’s frenemy, Chrishell Stause, was recently divorced from her dreamboat of an actor husband, Justin Hartley.

Though both Chrishell and Justin had worked on soap operas for years, Justin is now perhaps best known for his role on This Is Us (even though, in our hearts, he will always be Smallville‘s Green Arrow).

Until the season premiered, almost no one knew the details of how their divorce had gone down.

Breaking down in tears, Chrishell described how Justin had texted her to inform her that he had filed for divorce.

He ended their marriage … with a text message.

While the world has yet to hear Justin’s side of things, that eye-catching detail drove massive interest in the Netflix reality series.

That is not to say that it was not already popular. But now, people who’d never felt interested or even heard of the show were curious.

Chrishell’s loss in her personal life may be the show’s game — and has been a boost to all of her castmates, including her frenemy, Christine.

Chrishell Stause Teases Fans Amid Divorce Drama: I Have Good News I Can’t Tell You About!

Season 3 of Netflix’s Selling Sunset has been dominating headlines over Chrishell Stause’s explosive divorce drama.

It looks like all of this interest and aired dirty laundry has paid off big time.

Chrishell Stause, Heather Rae Young, Mary Fitzgerald, and Amanza Smith look gorgeous.

This photo of the beauties in bikinis was shared on Chrishell’s Instagram account.

As eye-catching as these Selling Sunset stars may be, that’s not what’s truly catching people’s attention.

For one thing, they were partying together during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is … a choice.

We’re going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they all got tested and have been carefully isolating.

Because we want to get that worry out of the way before we delve into Chrishell’s caption.

Chrishell Stause IG - celebrates undisclosed "good news" caption

“Carpe Diem!” Chrishell writes in her caption.

She teases: “Celebrating good news we can’t tell you about!”

Those words are followed by a string of joyful emojis and some obligatory Selling Sunset tags.

It doesn’t take an industry insider to connect those dots.

When your author friend tweets that they have exciting news, you know that it’s likely about a book query or even adaptation rights.

And when four reality stars from the same show celebrate unspecified “good news” that they aren’t allowed to tell you, it’s likely that their show has been renewed.

And why wouldn’t it be? Even before Season 3 premiered earlier thsi month, the world was captivated by this teaser.

Chrishell admitted to Mary that her ex-husband, Justin Hartley, had notified her of their divorce via text.

45 minutes after she received that text message informing her of the divorce filing, Chrishell shared, the entire world knew.

Justin Hartley is a beloved actor.

Long before starring on This Is Us, he appeared on shows like Smallville, The Young And The Restless, and Revenge.

Chrishell is also a soap opera actress in addition to her current Netflix gig — so yes, reports of their divorce were widespread.

Chrishell Stause tweet reply - trying to be classy

At the time, though, no one knew that Chrishell had been taken by surprise by the divorce. With the new season, that changed.

Now, she’s had new fans coming out of the woodwork, with prominent Twitter personalities and even social media stans supporting her.

The groundswell has been so great that she has had to actively plead with her own fans to not “bully” anyone on her behalf.

Notably, Justin has not spoken up for himself in any real way.

His (other) ex-wife and his teenage daughter have both shown their support, praising him as a fine example of a human being.

It is unclear if Justin is planning to respond publicly or if he is just taking the L, so to speak, and trying to move forward without adding to the drama.

There are holes in Chrishell’s account of their split that Justin might be able to fill, such as specifically what was the final straw.

According to Chrishell, his response to conflict was always to back out of it and get some space — not all soap opera actors actually enjoy real-life drama.

In a way, this sounds like the ultimate expression of that. Well, that’s too many fights, time for a divorce!

But we don’t know for sure what he was thinking because he has not shared his point of view.

Regardless, congratulations to the Selling Sunset stars!

Renewals should always be celebrated. And given Netflix’s business model, a renewal beyond Season 3 is a small miracle.

Chrishell Stause Devastated When Justin Hartley Started Boning Sofia Pernas

As we previously reported, Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas are dating.

But their romance has fallen under scrutiny as Chrishell Stause’s divorce drama goes public.

According to In Touch Weekly, finding out that Justin Hartley got with Sofia Pernas was not easy for Chrishell.

An insider tells the tabloid that she “felt stabbed in the heart” at the news.

When she “found out for sure” that the two actors were “hooking up,” it broke her heart, the source adds.

“Justin twisted the knife even deeper by making their relationship Instagram official,” the insider characterizes.

“She had her suspicions that something was going on between Justin and Sofia before they went public,” the source adds.

“And,” the insider says, Chrishell “is still trying to put the pieces together and figure out the truth.”

Notably, Justin and Sofia — who co-starred years ago on The Young And The Restless — were spotted together back in May.

This was six months after Justin separated from Chrishell, filing for divorce and notifying her of the filing via text.

Later, Justin and Sofia went softly Instagram official — not posting a selfie, but just sharing photos from the same outing so that followers could connect the dots.

Chrishell Stause tweet reply - trying to be classy

Chrishell has been entertainingly honest about her struggle to keep it classy on social media.

She has, however, “liked” a number of tweets related to her divorce.

While some were just jokes in her defense, one happened to be a tweet theorizing that Justin had cheated.

“@Justinhartley filmed a movie in Canada at the same time his new girlfriend @SofiaPernas was filming the summer before they split,” a tweet reads.

The tweet continues: “The timing seems like he probably cheated on @Chrishell7 and took a coward’s way out to avoid spousal support and gaslight her.”

While that’s not what gaslighting means, we should note that Chrishell “liked” that tweet.

First of all, we have to emphasize that there is no evidence that Justin cheated on Chrishell at all, let alone with Sofia.

Though the two have filmed in Canada, they did work together years ago. Sometimes, the newly divorced connect with hot, single friends.

And even if Justin did cheat, that would not in any way be Sofia’s fault.

Chrishell Stause tweet - asks people to be nice, to not bully

Chrishell herself has asked her fans and supporters to please, please tone down the vitriol.

Though she does not name any names, it seems that someone — likely Justin, possibly Sofia — was getting hate on her behalf.

That’s not what she wants to see. There are real people on the other ends of those Twitter accounts, folks.

Speaking of speaking out, this week, Lindsay Krman-Hartley came to Justin’s defense.

Lindsay, who was married to Justin and shares a (now high school aged) daughter with him, called Justin an “exemplifcation of a solid man.”

Their daughter, Isabella Justice Hartley, echoed her mother’s sentiments by sharing them on Instagram.

Sofia Pernas IG - followed by Justin Hartley daughter Isabella

It should be noted, speaking of Isabella and Instagram, that Isabella and Sofia are Instagram mutuals.

While there are many reasons to follow someone on social media, the simplest explanation is that Justin’s daughter and girlfriend are fond of each other.

Whatever did or did not happen, we hope that all parties involved can move forward with grace, find happiness, and live their best lives.
