The Real Housewives of New York City Stars PANIC as Bravo Considers Shakeup

It’s no secret that this season of The Real Housewives of New York City has struggled a bit.

Whether the ratings are actually “bad” is debatable, but fans are expecting changes for Season 14.

The cast members are, too.

And reportedly some of them are in a panic over who will get to keep their Apple and who will be sent packing.

RHONY Midseason 13 Promo

An inside source spoke to The Sun about how the Housewives are feeling amidst rumors of another infamous casting shakeup.

“Things are in a complete state of panic amongst the cast of RHONY,” the insider reported.

According to the source, “Ramona is NOT the only one on the chopping block.”

“There could be a complete revamp of the show,” the insider warned.

“And,” the source added, “three or more people may be fired.”

The insider alleged that “Eboni, Ramona, and Leah are ALL in danger.”

“People have been very vocal about their dislike for Ramona this season,” the source pointed out.

The insider followed that by acknowledging: “It doesn’t make sense to have her on the show anymore.”

“She has become completely unlikable,” the source characterized of Ramona.

“As for Leah and Eboni,” the insider continued.

“They have been criticized by viewers on social media,” the source noted.

The insider opined: “And Eboni blaming producers for low ratings last week doesn’t help her case.”

Recently, a number of fans declared on social media that Eboni discussing her life and experiences as a Black woman was hurting ratings.

Eboni replied at the time that she doesn’t control the final cut of the show.

There are many conversations that don’t make it onto the screen. Production makes those decisions, not the stars.

“Luann and Sonja seem to be the only two in the cast that are safe,” the source observed.

The insider explained: “The audience likes them and they test well.”

Meanwhile, the overall situation behind the scenes is characterized as a “nightmare.”

The actual Housewives are reportedly hoping to know their fates as soon as possible.

It’s very understandable that they want to know whether they will be asked back.

However, the producers will want to ‘wait until the very last minute” to make actual offers for Season 14.

Producers have a complicated decision to make right now.

The easiest answer would to say “people are whining about Eboni right now; our white audience doesn’t want to think about systemic racism.”

But is catering to white fragility the best move forward for the franchise?

The The Bachelor franchise made a similar decision for years.

You don’t have 12 consecutive Bachelorettes and 24 consecutive Bachelors without a single Black lead, respectively, in a vacuum.

That was a choice that production made, year after year, a choice that was less deniable as time went on.

Many of us saw how that ended — with racist rage early this year amidst Rachael Kirkconnell’s racism scandal and Chris Harrison leaving the franchise.

Bravo must have watched ABC go through this with trepidation.

This franchise will have to decide if they’ve learned from the other’s mistakes, or if they aim to repeat them but prioritizing white fragility.

Ramona Singer Shuts Down Eboni K. Williams: I Want to Ignore Politics, Thanks!

While Bravo is already looking into casting changes for next season of RHONY, this season was filmed many months ago.

During the week of the historic 2020 elections, only one thing (aside from Supernatural‘s long-awaited twist) was on anyone’s mind.

Naturally, Eboni brought it up during a scene filmed during that tense time.

But Ramona totally shut her down.

In the first week of November in 2020, the world got a taste of hope for the first time in a long time.

Though we all acutely remember the agonizing uncertainty in the air, an official election victory seemed imminent.

It was. But until then, it was obviously occupying the thoughts of Eboni Williams.

Ramona Singer invited Eboni to stop by her home.

Given the election season vibes in the air, Eboni of course brought it up.

She didn’t get directly political, instead asking Ramona about how exciting having a woman as Vice President would be.

Ramona instantly shut her down, saying: “I don’t want to talk politics.”

Eboni quickly noted that it’s not like she was discussing politics — just a gender milestone.

“Have we had a woman vice president, Ramona?” Eboni asked. “That’s an objective fact.”

Eboni’s hope was that she and Ramona could agree that this was a “middle ground” upon which they could agree without discussing candidates.

“You know I’m not going to let you off the hook,” Eboni told her castmate.

Ramona did not stop trying to change the subject, one that was clearly making her uncomfortable.

To her credit, Ramona did thank Eboni for making her aware of pervasive microaggressions against the Black community.

She also appreciated how Eboni had explained the concept of white female fragility, and how it is too often weaponized against marginalized communities.

All that it takes is one good explanation to reach you and you realize how awful some things in the world truly are.

Eboni also commented that the election illustrated that we are a “divided country.”

“Can we just change the subject?” Ramona demanded, standing up.

“I’m going to take a step away because, you know what, I don’t want to do this. I don’t.”

“I’m liking you. I don’t know you that well,” Ramona told Eboni.

She expressed: “I feel like you’re teaching me, you’re preaching me.”

Ramona left the room to go chat with her dog fo ra bit.

Eboni explained to the confessional that she was not trying to delve into party politics with Ramona.

Instead, she was “trying to understand what [her] values are.”

Unfortunately, Eboni for some reason misused the word “triggered” in her confessional, which is just never okay.

Ramona returned and explained that she just wanted to “have fun” after what had been a stressful week.

Eboni correctly pointed out that only people living privileged lives can just ignore politics.

It’s a luxury that the marginalized cannot afford. Elections can mean life or death.

(Genuinely, someone not wanting to discuss politics at all is a red flag, but not everyone wants to discuss it at all times)

Ramona accused Eboni of “preaching” to her, followed by both women accusing the other of gaslighting.

Another misused term.

Neither of them were gaslighting.

If a Real Housewife is ever being manipulated to believe that they are losing their minds, literally, we will report on it.

Eboni then explained that she is trying to lay the foundation of a genuine, and hopefully lasting, bond with her castmate.

“I’m telling you that I want to have a real friendship with you Ramona because I like you,” Eboni noted.

“But you can’t like me only when I say the things you want me to say,” she reasoned.

That’s not unfair.

Ramona replied that she did not want to discuss “race, religion, or creed” with anyone, not just with Eboni.

She asked Eboni to “back off a little bit” because “the other girls aren’t feeling rally good about this.”

Ramona claimed that “they feel like you’re lecturing us.”

“They should be big girls because everybody is an adult and they should say how they feel,” Eboni suggested.

She advised Ramona: “You can’t tell me not to talk about how I feel.”

Ramona complained that the conversation was getting “too heavy” for her.

“This is too serious of a conversation,” Ramona expressed.

“When I just want to enjoy my life,” she said. “I want to escape for 24 hours.”

Eboni replied: “I’m glad you can do that, I don’t have the privilege to do that.”

Eboni pointed to her skin: “Am I supposed to take this off and hang it up?”

She then quipped: “Do you have a coat closet for my Blackness, Ramona?”

“I’m feeling I’m being attacked,” Ramona complained.

Ramona then attempted to show that she takes conversations about race seriously.

She attempted to refer to CJ Walker, a Black woman who was the first woman in America to be a self-made millionaire.

Ramona being Ramona, she called her “EJ Walker” by mistake.

Flustered by the topic and her mistake, Ramona said: “Oh whatever. I gotta go now. Okay, I’m going.”

She said this from inside of her own home. Oh, Ramona.

She also voiced her resentment that Eboni had corrected her. Eventually, though, the two did hug it out. So … yay?

Leah McSweeney Blasts Heather Thomson: Stop Being a Lying Prude, Bish!

Even before this season of RHONY began, we all heard tales of the feud between Leah McSweeney and Heather Thomson.

The two have exchanged harsh words and a lot of contempt.

People don’t necessarily like Leah as much as they once did, but she says that Heather is pushing a false narrative about her.

She says that Heather is trying to smear her to save her own skin, but it won’t work.

Leah shared her commentary about the lack of worthiness of men who won’t go the distance for their women.

Heather clearly took that personally.

As such, she fired back by accusing Leah of being “vulgar,” as if anyone cares about that.

As you can imagine, Leah saw it and came up with some clapback of her own.

On Monday, Leah took to her Instagram Stories to respond to that very silly label.

Leah accused Heather of being “disingenuous” and, worse, “cringe.”

“Guess her man isn’t an a– eater!!” Leah accused.

“Why the F is she bringing up her kids,” she demanded to know.

Leah then accused that “this is more cringe [than] her behavior on tomorrow’s episode.”

Leah did not stop there, however.

She posted not one but two additional Instagram Stories on the subject.

First, she called out what she describes as a false narrative.

Leah McSweeney IG vs Heather Thompson 02 of 03

“I am seeing a narrative emerge that I’m not comfortable with,” Leah expressed.

“And thus,” she explained, “feel the need to speak out.”

Specifically, it was the narrative that Leah somehow drove Heather off of the show.

“Heather was unable to forge natural connections with any of the women,” Leah stated.

“And that,” she asserted, “is why she discontinued filming.”

So the story of Heather fleeing for the hills because she couldn’t stand working with Leah is … in dispute by Leah.

“I took issue with her from the beginning,” Leah recalled.

She explained that they clashed “because I’m not a fan of disingenuous people.”

“She says one thing in the press and another to people’s faces,” Leah accused.

Leah McSweeney IG vs Heather Thompson 03 of 03

“Say what you mean, mean what you say,” Leah demanded.

She added: “I never once lied to her or about her.”

Leah offered an explanation for her volatile behavior.

“It’s no secret that I was having a hard time on this trip,” Leah acknowledged.

This was “due to a tremendous personal loss that I was dealing with in real time.”

Leah added: “Heather was well aware of this and acknowledged it.”

“I apologized to everyone for being aggressive and squashed it,” Leah related.

She said that she squashed her beefs “including with Heather.”

And then she had more to say in her next post.

Leah accused Heather of “spinning lies.”

She also accused her of “openly attacking [her] mental health” and “sobriety.”

Leah said that Heather falsely accused her of assault in a desperate attempt to “save face.”

“There are some historic issues that we address this season,” Leah noted.

She added that these are issues “that are far more important than trying to keep Heather relevant.”

She fears that these are issues “which are being clouded over” amidst tales of this feud.

“I’m proud of this season,” Leah asserted.

“It was an incredibly tough time to film/there was a lot of heaviness in the air,” she acknowledged.

“And yet,” Leah shared, “we did it and in our own way.”

“The entire reason I took issue with her in the first place has now happened to me/come full circle,” Leah remarked.

“She defames women to lift herself up,” she accused.

So, what do we think?

On the one hand, Leah has been right and often no-nonsense on multiple issues.

On the other, Leah didn’t vote in 2016, which is the most nonsensical and feckless choice that a person can make.

So, you know, she’s probably right about Heather. But also, many fans are in a f–k Leah kind of mood.

Heather Thomson Rage-Quit RHONY Over Feud With Leah McSweeney

What’s old is new again on this upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New York City.

Specifically, former Housewife Heather Thomson is once again a Housewife for Season 13.

This sounds great for everyone, including her fans.

Except that it turned out to be such a disaster that Heather quit over conflict with one fellow Housewife.

For years, RHONY fans have campaigned for Heather Thomson’s return.

Production seemed to love the idea, bringing her back for Season 13 to see how she fit in with the current cast.

They got their answer … when she and Leah McSweeney ruffled each other’s feathers.

An inside source spoke to Us Weekly about what went down from start to finish.

The insider first shed light on what “prompted production to maneuver her return.”

The source said that it was “Heather’s popular history with the old cast and the excitement about new cast member Eboni K. Williams.”

So, what happened? The conflict began in the Hamptons.

Heather and Leah had some sort of bitter exchange at Ramona singer’s home over a weekend.

What began as a friendly get-together turned into a catastrophe.

“Shortly after she arrived, Leah and Heather [butted] heads,” the insider detailed.

“Their exchanges got messy,” the source added.

“And,” the insider admitted, “included some name-calling.”

Apparently, Heather was “stunned” by their unhappy exchange.

Until that time, she and Leah had gotten along well.

They had previously only seen one another at Dorinda Medley’s home in The Berkshires.

It was only in the Hamptons that they butted heads.

Heather, the report says, felt that Leah’s behavior was “demeaning.”

As a result, she decided to stop filming. Wow!

“Heather could see Leah was acting up for the cameras,” the insider claimed.

“And,” the source continued, “using behavior she considered demeaning and exploitative.”

The insider alleged that Leah was over the top “and frankly, crossed a line.”

“Heather wanted no part of Leah,” the source reported.

“So after she left that weekend,” the insider revealed, “Heather had no interest in continuing the season at all.”

The source said that she told producers just that “and stopped filming.”

We have already seen just a small taste of that conflict in the Season 13 trailer.

Leah is seen in the trailer referring to Heather as a “Karen.”

In the trailer, Leah also encourages Heather to mind her own business — which seems to baffle Heather.

Presumably, there is more to the conflict than some mild name-calling and a simple admonishment.

At least, whether it’s true or not, being called a “Karen” is seldom reason to quit a job.

(In fact, usually it’s the “Karen” in question trying to cost someone else their job, not the other way around)

Heather is a classic star popular among fans.

But Leah was a breath of fresh air to the show and to the entire franchise.

Which of them will turn out to be in the right?

For that, we can only guess until we know more information.

(It is not wrong to call out a “Karen” when you see one … but we don’t know who’s right yet)

The new season premieres on Star Wars Day, May 4. Very conveniently easy to remember!

Bethenny Frankel is a Petty Bish for Upstaging RHONY Trailer, Housewives Say

This week, Bethenny Frankel announced her engagement to Paul Bernon.

Her announcement just happened to coincide with another piece of news.

It was the same day that the RHONY trailer dropped.

Coincidence? No one thinks that. Especially not her former castmates.

An inside source spoke to Page Six about how the Housewives are reating to Bethenny upstaging them.

“They’re all confused why she’s still obsessed with RHONY,” the insider shares.

The source continues: “and would orchestrate her engagement news to come out the same time as the trailer for the show.”

“Bethenny is just being her petty self,” the insider characterizes.

“But,” the source notes, “she can’t take away the cast’s happiness.”

The insider continues: “Or how hard they worked this season during the coronavirus pandemic.”

“The cast collectively feels like the show is so much better without her,” the source alleges.

“And,” the insider adds, “that she wouldn’t have been able to navigate the serious topics of this season.”

At present, it is unclear who if any among the current Housewives reached out to congratulate Bethenny on her engagement.

Bethenny’s representative, however, says that Bethenny doesn’t give a flip about how the ladies feel about anything.

“Bethenny is living her best life and isn’t concerned with what the cast thinks,” her rep affirmed.

Additionally, the rep noted that Bethenny only confirmed the news after eagle-eyed fans spotted the engagement ring.

The ring that Paul slipped onto her finger when he proposed is said to be worth about seven figures.

One jewelry expert speculated that the ring has a $1 million value, due to the center stone being an estimated 8 to 10 carats.

“It looks like she wore a three-stone ring that features a huge 8- to 10-carat emerald-shaped center stone set,” the jeweler assessed to Page Six.

The jewelry expert continued: “with two smaller emerald accent diamonds we estimate to be around 3 carats total.”

“If it’s a real, natural diamond, I’d estimate its retail value at up to $1 million for a natural emerald-shaped diamond ring of that size,” the jeweler stated.

“And if not … probably under $5,000 as a good fake,” the expert concluded.

Bethenny and Paul began dating in 2018, as we reported at the time.

However, the two broke up two years later.

This pas January, they reconciled. Clearly, they decided to play for keeps this time.

As we noted, this season of RHONY appears poised to tackle — for better or for worse — some pressing social issues.

Eboni K Williams is the show’s first-ever Black cast member.

As with Beverly Hills when Garcelle Beauvois joined, this is a long, long overdue milestone.

In the trailer, Eboni is seen calling out Ramona Singer for her dismissive and outdated term for referring to “the help.”

Quite frankly, it is stunning that no one has spoken to Ramona about this before.

Or maybe they did, and Ramona being Ramona, she simply forgot. She is not generally seen as the brightest apple in the basket.

Ramona Singer - I don't have the virus, I tested today

The new season premieres on May 4.

While some viewers are tired of seeing important issues tackled on reality TV … well, imagine how much more tired marginalized people are of oppression.

It will be interesting to see if Bethenny plans to upstage her erstwhile castmates in any other ways.

The Real Housewives of NYC Trailer: Welcome, Eboni K. Williams!

At. Last.

Finally, after a dozen seasons on the air, The Real Housewives of New York City is set to make history in 2021.

The long-running Bravo franchise is set to welcome its first-ever Black cast member, Eboni K. Williams.

An attorney and television host, Williams is featured prominently in the just-released trailer for new series episodes.

“I like Eboni a lot,” Luann de Lesseps says as a montage unfolds of the newbie happily mingling with the other women, including Ramona Singer, Leah McSweeney and Sonja Morgan.

However, this may stun you, but not everything will be peachy keen when it comes to Eboni and these veteran stars.

The trailer eventually teases a confrontation between Eboni and Ramona.

In one scene that stands out, Williams calls out her castmate after Ramona is heard referring to her house staff as “the help.”

“The ‘help’ comment was a little triggering for me,” she says, to which Ramona replies;

“Here’s to hospitality assistance.”

Cut to another scene… and these same two ladies are sitting down to have a chat when Ramona accuses Eboni of “preaching” at her, prompting another argument.

“That’s gaslighting,” Eboni responds.

Ramona isn’t the only person to clash with the newcomer, either.

When Williams says she has “more education, frankly, than anyone at this table,” Luann quickly grows offended and angry.

“Don’t come into my house and tell me I don’t have an education,” she fires back.

“I can leave your house, Lu,” Eboni replies, unbothered by the exchange.

Elsewhere, Sonja Morgan has her own issues with Luann in the preview, accusing her pal of spending too much time with boyfriend Garth Wakeford.

“Garth, Garth, Garth, it’s always Garth,” Sonja says.

Later, the Sonja by Sonja Morgan designer comes under fire for her drinking… again.

“I just feel like, checked the f—k out,” Morgan confesses after she’s featured punching through glass and being held back.

Yikes, huh?

Leah McSweeney, who joined the cast of during season 12, wraps up the trailer by trashing the women as the “biggest hoes ever.”

”You’re a f–king hoe, you’re a hoe, you’re a hoe, you’re a hoe!” screams the 38-year old in one clip.

Casting-wise, former Real Housewives of New York City star Heather Thomson and newcomer Bershan Shaw also appear in this video, confirming their recurring roles on the season.

“I’m thankful to be a part of the Bravo team and I’m thrilled about the diversity and inclusion this season brings,” Bershan told E! News on March 2, five months after she was spotted filming scenes for season 13.

“I am a warrior for all people and so are the ladies.”

The Real Housewives of New York City returns to Bravo Tuesday, May 4 at 9/8c.

Tinsley Mortimer Says Scott Kluth Tormented Her for Years Before Breakup

Fans of The Real Housewives of New York City will likely not be surprised, but …

… Even though Tinsley Mortimer quit to pursue marriage to a man who gave her an ultimatum, it didn’t work out.

Sometimes, even the most toxic of relationships somehow unravel.

But while Scott claims that he simply tried to let down Tinsley easy, her camp says that he filled her life with torment.

A friend of Tinsley Mortimer spoke to Page Six about Scott Kluth, her former fiance.

“He tortured her,” the inside source characterizes.

“For years,” the friend accurately describes, “he would break up with her and get back together with her and break up with her again.”

“But when he proposed, she believed he meant it,” the friend explained.

Scott demanded an ultimatum: that Tinsley give up her reality career to be with him.

“She left her career, she left her livelihood, she left her home,” the inside source described.

Tinsley Mortimer leaves RHONY IG farewell post

“And suddenly,” the friend pointed out, “he’s back to his old tricks again and he called off the engagement.”

“He has a fear of commitment,” the source explained.

“He never had it in him to follow through with his promise to marry her,” the friend accused.

“And,” Tinsley’s friend noted, “he used her celebrity to promote his coupon company.”

This same friend could not help but observe that Scott claimed to hate the spotlight yet “[ran] to PEOPLE magazine” to get out his side of the story.

“She didn’t want this,” the friend emphasized. “[Her] head is still spinning.”

Fans are already speculating that Tinsley might return to RHONY.

She would certainly have a powerful storyline — bitterness, fallout, and perhaps even revenge.

But her friend reports that Tinsley is unsure of whether she’ll move back to to New York, let alone anything else.

Scott in his ongoing dislike of the spotlight shared a statement with Page Six.

“It is disappointing that during this emotional time for both of them, Tinsley is mischaracterizing the circumstances of their breakup,” his spokesperson said.

The statement went on to add that this is a split “which happened months ago.”

“As Scott has already said, he wishes nothing but the best for Tinsley,” his spokesperson claimed.

“And,” he continued, “is seeking to recover emotionally and move on.”

What a guy.

A separate insider spoke to Us Weekly to characterize that Tinsley was “completely blindsided” by the split.

“Tinsley feels like she wasted four years of her life on Scott,” the source shared.

That sounds accurate.

According to the insider, Tinsley “was at a photo shoot” when Scott called off the engagement.

“She feels he took away her fairy tale ending and her chance at having a traditional family,” the source expressed.

“Tinsley is done this time,” the insider affirmed. “There’s no way she’s going back to Scott.”

But for yet another side to things, sources close to Scott tell Page Six that this wasn’t so sudden.

These insiders claim that Scott was “communicating” the split to Tinsley for months.

According ot them, Tinsley wasn’t accepting it and was living in denial.

“Her perception of when they broke up is clearly different from Scott’s,” the source say.

“But,” the insider claim, “Scott communicated to her that they were broken up months ago.”

Tinsley’s friends fired back at this characterization.

According to Tinsley’s camp, if Tinsley was at all confused, it was due to this years-long “break-up-and-get-back-together cycle.”

“He would do that and then get back together with her,” they point out.

They characterize: “It was ‘we’re together,’ then ‘let’s take some space,’ then ‘we’re not together.’ A real mindf–k.”

Carole Radziwill, Tinsley Mortimer Split

“This was the type of pattern he would do to her through the four years they were dating,” the friends describe.

“And now that she left her career and basically everything for him,” they point out.

The friends conclude: “She had no choice but to try and make it work and stick it out with him through this unhealthy pattern.”

Bethenny Frankel on Ramona Singer: That Bish Has Had a TON of Work Done!

Despite leaving RHONY behind, Bethenny Frankel continues to piss off her former castmates … and to call them out on their BS.

This time, she’s talking about cosmetic surgery. And she’s calling out Ramona Singer in particular.

“When I get upset with people with all the filtering,” Bethenny Frankel began on a recent episode of her Just B with Bethenny Frankel podcast.

“And,” she continues, “all of the fake lives and pretending everything’s perfect and then they contour their waist, etc.”

“I just feel that that’s not truthful,” Bethenny explains, “and it makes people feel bad about themselves.”

“Someone like a Jane Fonda or when we knew that Demi Moore got the work — not that she said it,” Bethenny noted.

She then got more personal, saying: “or even when Sonja [Morgan] from my show got a facelift like we’re happy for her!”

Bethenny added: “She said it.”

“If you look good and you’re f–king 55 or 60 and you look young,” Bethenny decrees.

She continues: “it’s not because you ate placentas or because you drank water or used ponds skincare.”

That is generally the case, though genetic factors often play a much larger role in apparent aging than lifestyle or diet.

“Or Ramona — she’s like Death Becomes Her,” Bethenny comments, referring to the classic film.

She predicts: “She’s gonna be 95 and she’s gonna be in the goddamn box saying, ‘It’s just Ramona’s skincare.’”

Bethenny declares: “It’s like, the jig is up!”

“So, I’m just thinking, people should just be honest,” Bethenny expresses.

She explains that honesty is best “’cause that’s really empowering to other women.”

And Bethenny is not the only one who has come after Ramona, specifically, fo rher dishonesty.

At the Season 12 reunion, Dorinda Medley trashed Ramona.

She called Ramona a “PSA for a bad facelift.”

Ramona loves to credit for Ageless by Ramona skincare line for her look, so she simply fired back: “You are disgusting! Go to church!”

This month, Bethenny asserted that Ramona is certainly not the only Housewife to have some work done … not by a long shot.

“Everybody’s had something different done,” she said.

Bethenny continued: “Like all the Housewives have had that string thing.”

The what now?

“They put, I guess, a series of strings under your face,” Bethenny explained.

“And then,” she went on to describe, “like a marionette it’s supposed to pull it up.”

“A lot of the Housewives have had many lifts,” Bethenny reflected.

She then speculated: “Which means they’ve done individual like á la carte menu tweaks.”

“Like someone has done an eye thing or a neck thing,” Bethenny detailed, “but just know that everyone’s doing it.”

‘And so,” Bethenny reasoned, “that’s gonna feel sucky if you don’t have a lot of money.”

She also opined that this kind of cosmetic work is an “unfair thing” in that wealthier people “can do that s–t.”

As is so often the case, the “secret” to anything from weight loss to a good face isn’t exercise or a $30 ointment, it’s wealth.

Bethenny explained: “That’s why I think there’s a lot of that anger on social media.”

She continued: “and why people are coming out to me saying, ‘Yeah, what about all the plastic surgery?’”

“But I think if I was honest about it,” Bethenny suggested.

Bethenny imagined: “like, ‘Listen, I’ve worked hard, I wanted to do this because of this’ and maybe people will save up.”

She continued, speculating: “and I guess in non-cosmopolitan New York overpriced cities, there are payment plans and lesser expensive options.” Maybe in other countries, anyway.

“But I just want to talk about it,” Bethenny concluded, “because I feel like it’s a taboo thing.”

Bethenny Frankel and Paul Bernon: It’s Over After 2 Years!

Late last year, rumors were swirling that Bethenny Frankel and Paul Bernon were getting engaged.

A lot of fans loved their romance. But all good things must come to an end.

Us Weekly reports that Bethenny Frankel and Paul Bernon have broken up.

In fact, their source shares that the pair split “a couple weeks ago.”

Likely, this means that they broke up in late September.

As we reported at the time, Bethenny and Paul began dating in October of 2018.

RHONY fans can recall how the pair were seen engaged in a very public display of affections in Boston.

Just two months after Bethenny’s on-again, off-again ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields had passed away, all eyes were on her as she grappled with this emotional pain.

Bethenny did eventually open up about Paul and their romance.

In July of 2019, she spoke, sharing that being with Paul made her feel “happy in a way that’s different” than her previous experiences in relationships.

This was not meant as a knock or a drag at any of her exes. Though one could be forgiven for interpreting it that way.

“Not a high or a low, just a balance,” Bethenny explained.

She interrupted herself to clarify “which, if you know my personality at all, it’s not often that balanced.”

“But,” Bethenny stressed, or maybe the opposite of stressed, at the time: “I feel just balanced and healthy.”

Then, late that summer, Bethenny and Paul got much more serious.

Almost one year into their (public) romance, they were going house hunting together.

The two were looking into homes specifically in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

“They live together in the Back Bay area [in Boston] now,” an insider said of the two at the time.

The source added: “She has been spending a lot more time up there.”

“They are house-hunting in the New England area,” the insider then confirmed.

Bethenny and Paul had a great deal in common, including shared interests in philanthropy and politics.

Paul, a producer, has been particularly involved in Emily’s List, a long-running political organization held in high esteem.

Emily’s List seeks to help get more pro-choice Democratic women elected into office. Bethenny and Paul shared an interest in making the world a better place.

Bethenny’s most infamous relationship of course is with Jason Hoppy, her ex-husband.

The two married in 2010 and, after nearly three years together, announced their breakup in 2012.

The two share a 10-year-old daughter, Bryn. Unfortunately, it seems that their daughter was the only good thing to come out of their marriage.

For years, Bethenny has shared that Jason continues to “torture” her, even though it has been so long since they were together.

Bethenny and Jason resolved their custody agreement in 2014. They settled financial issues in 2016.

Their divorce, however, has never truly been finalized — to this day, it appears that Bethenny remains legally tied to Jason, with no love lost between them.

She confirmed this grim legal status just last month. In 2019, she had tweeted cryptically that she “had” to leave the show because she was the only actual “wife” left.

Bethenny would not have been able to marry Paul before taking care of that. Still, we doubt that ink on a legal document is what caused her and Paul to end their romance.

Sometimes, people just don’t stay together. Relationships are like that, and we wish them both the best.

Dorinda Medley Confirms Firing: I Just Had a Rough Season!

For the first time, Dorinda Medley is confirming being fired by Bravo.

It’s a shame, too, she says — because she’d been hoping for a redemption arc.

This week, Dorinda Medley was a guest on Bethenny Frankel’s Just B podcast.

Taking in her (for now) final season of The Real Housewives of New York, Dorinda is the first to admit that she “did not have a good season this year.”

She is not alone in that assessment … but not everyone understands why she was in such a foul mood all season.

Dorinda emphasized to Bethenny that she is “not going to make excuses for it.”

“But,” she explains, “I was doing real.”

“You know, that’s where I was at that time,” Dorinda continues. That sounds appropriate, given the name of the franchise.

Dorinda confessed to Andy that she had felt “overwhelmed” when they spoke at the Season 12 Reunion special.

In fact, in retrospect, she has come to believe that she should have taken off Season 12.

To Bethenny, she reiterates that this would have been the wiser choice.

Bethenny, of course, left the show right before Season 12 began airing, back in August 2019.

“I’ll be honest with you, I felt very, very scared going into the season,” Dorinda expresses.

She felt scared “because not only was my life very intense with all the things …”

Dorinda lists those frightening things: “… you know, the house, my father, broken rib, breaking up with John [Mahdessian].”

“It was like, wow. … I’m not putting any blame,” she notes, “but you know, when you left, I was really in a mode of coming back and being a powerful couple.”

“Then, you know, I came back and I was sort of a toothpick in an ocean,” Dorinda laments.

“I didn’t get my voice out correctly,” Dorinda freely acknowledges.

Bethenny cannot help but agree.

“And you get in over your skis,” she tells her friend. “You drink, something happens, you say something.”

“And then you’re in your head about what you just said,” Bethenny notes, “but the show must go on,”

“You’re still filming, there’s still cameras,” Bethenny explains. “So that’s what is challenging, and that’s where I do feel you.”

She notes that, in most cases, Housewives who screw up get a comeback.

Dorinda Medley Speaks from Home

“And, listen, everybody always gets their resurrection season,” Bethenny suggests.

“So the next season, the person is super cautious,” she describes, “they got burned, everything they did wrong the season before … “

But if Dorinda gets a resurrection season, it won’t be Season 13.

Dorinda Medley in previously unseen Season 11 footage

Dorinda confesses that she had really been “looking forward to coming back this year.”

She had hoped to have a redemption arc.

Dorinda could have that now, because she is “in a good place.”

“Listen, I had a rough season, but that’s what we do as Housewives,” she states.

“We have good seasons,” Dorinda acknowledges. “We have bad seasons.”

“We come back and we change it up,” she adds.

“And listen, I was looking forward to coming back this year,” Dorinda affirms.

She expresses: “I was looking forward to having that moment.”

Notably, this is the first time that she has actually confirmed that, yes, Bravo didn’t ask her back.

Dorinda Medley turkey baster comment revisited

“I was ready to go back, I was excited to go back, I was planning to back,” Dorinda confirms.

“And I thought I would have a great year,” she says, “I wasn’t given that option.”

Not all Housewives admit when Bravo gives them the axe.

“They’re calling it a pause, which I don’t really … for me, I’m an old-fashioned girl,” Dorinda characterizes herself.

For analogy, she offers: “If you’re not waitressing and getting paid, you’re not waitressing.”

“At the end of the day, it was a mutual ‘no,'” Dorinda states.

Dorinda says that, ultimately, this was for the best.

“It’s released me to do other things,” she notes.

Dorinda concludes: “It’s put me in a really much saner place.”

Leah McSweeney Lands MASSIVE Pay Raise for RHONY Season 13!

Weeks ago, we reported that Leah McSweeney was coming back to RHONY … as soon as she finished her negotiations with Bravo.

She finished, she’s in, and she landed herself a massive raise.

Reports say that Leah was initially offered a “pathetically low” raise to return for Season 13 of The Real Housewives of new York City.

Instead, she will be raking in more than triple what she was paid per episode of Season 12, her debut season.

Any raise is a good raise, generally, but making more than three times what you were making before has to be a joy.

Page Six reports that Leah was making $3,000 per episode — just a few times more than a first-time 90 Day Fiance star’s infamously low salary.

Her new deal sounds much more like what you’d expect to see from a Real Housewife.

Leah will reportedly make $10,000 per episode in Season 13.

Now, if we pull out our trusty calculators, we can see what that number really means.

There were 21 episodes in additon to the Reunion special in Season 12. Housewives don’t always appear in every single episode, but we can expect Leah to appear in most of them.

Add that up, and she’s raking in six figures … somewhere in the ballpark of $200,000, and that’s before the Reunion. That’s, like, the price of a house. A small house, but still.

Apparently, not only has Leah gotten a raise, but her castmates are also doing better than they were.

Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, and Sonja Morgan are reportedly also receiving boosts to their salaries.

We do not know the details, but we imagine that their raises are not of the same magnitude as Leah’s.

Apparently, Leah signed on with WME — an agency whose reputation procedes it — during these negotiations.

Another factor on her side was undoubtedly her popularity.

In a season of general uncertainty, Leah was a breath of fresh hair, and not just because she is pretty and relatively young — though that didn’t hurt.

Leah has the profound and enviable ability to not give AF if someone dislikes her.

This came in handy as Ramona’s obvious envy caused her to police Leah’s every move and outfit.

Leah also didn’t back down from calling Ramona to task for the latter’s blatant inability to abide by or seemingly even comprehend common sense pandemic safety guidelines.

Speaking of the pandemic, Leah and her castmates are reportedly filming with many precautions in place to prevent viral spread.

One of those precautions will be that, if they are filming at a restaurant, they will be the restaurant’s only patrons for that scene — in my opinion, that’s the only way to sit down at a restaurant at the moment, anyway.

Many have suggested that this would be a good policy for Real Housewives dining out anyway, virus or no virus. We all know what their behavior can be like.

Congratulations to Leah for fighting for a hefty raise.

We are pleased (and relieved) that she is returning for Season 13 and hope that she has many years ahead of her.

She is the perfect addition to the cast — and a marvelous foil to Ramona.

Tinsley Mortimer: THIS is Why Dorinda Medley Hates My Friggen Guts!

Before Dorinda Medley was fired from RHONY, she and her former castmate Tinsley Mortimer duked it out at the Reunion.

There, Tinsley revealed the real reason that she and Dorinda don’t get along — and the audience saw unseen footage for the first time.

There was so much at the The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion on Thursday night.

One highlight was Leah McSweeney wearily trying to explain to Ramona Singer how virus safety guidelines work during a pandemic. It was like talking to a wall.

At one point, Ramona began chanting “I don’t have the virus” repeatedly, like a magical incantation to ward off viruses and critics alike. It doesn’t work like that.

But after that (and a lot of talk about alcohol), the focus shifted to Tinsley — who has left the show but who did show up for the Reunion.

“Scott did not make me choose between him and the show,” Tinsley clarified.

Famously, she quit the show to move to Chicago with Scott Kluth, to whom she became engaged last November.

“I knew that the show was definitely an issue for him,” Tinsley acknowledged.

She recalled: “I knew that when we got back together it was a decision that I had to make.”

“I chose him over being here with everybody,” Tinsley emphasized.

“I didn’t want to put him in the mix of all this,” Tinsley stated.

She explained “because it could be toxic and it could be bad for my relationship.”

Infamously, a lot of relationships feel extra pressure and scrutiny when they are featured on reality television.

Andy asked if Tinsley and Dorinda have spoken since Tinsley’s departure from the show.

“No, of course not,” Tinsley replied.

Meanwhile, Dorinda stated that it was her understanding that Tinsley had only spoken to Leah since leaving.

“We were actually friends at one point,” Tinsley recalled with a tone of bitterness.

But she made it clear that that is no longer the case (obviously), and even brought up a major sticking point for her.

“The vile turkey baster comment,” Tinsley accused, “when women cannot get pregnant and the infertility …”

For what it’s worth, Dorinda did apologize for the comment, which she characterized as a bad joke.

“Are you having a problem getting pregnant?” asked an incredulous Dorinda.

“No,” Tinsley fired back, “but I am shamed for wanting a child.”

“I’m surprised you don’t have one already,” Dorinda jabbed, “You’ve been talking about getting pregnant for so long.”

Andy asked Dorinda directly: “What is your issue with Tinsley?”

“I believe half of what I hear in life and all of what I see,” Dorinda replied. “You guys saw just what was on the show. There was a lot of stuff that went on.”

“What happened was, after [Scott and I] had broken up, when we were in Miami — this was season 11,” Tinsley explained.

She recalled: “you and I got in this horrific fight that was not on camera.”

Tinsley explained that the fight was “because I had told you that Scott had generously given John [Mahdessian] (Dorinda’s ex-boyfriend) some money that you did not know about.”

“I don’t know why we’re talking about John,” Dorinda replied.

“The betrayal that you felt for John manifested to anger towards me,” Tinsley theorized. “You took it out on me. You called John screaming.”

Dorinda countered: “It’s just not true.”

“The producers did not want me to stay in the house that night because you were going so crazy,” Tinsley claimed. “They were worried for my safety.”

She accused: “You turned on me that moment when you found out John had that money.”

“No,” Dorinda assured Andy and the audience about Tinsley’s theory, “I didn’t even know about that.”

At this point, viewers were treated to some intense footage of Dorinda on the phone with John.

The venom in her tone was fairly palpable.

You can see this previously unseen footage and more of their discussion in the clip that we have included with this article.

“I did nothing to you to make you hate me the way that you do,” Tinsley insisted. “Your jealousy, your hatred, your obsession with my relationship.”

“Hey, girl, I’m engaged. We’re getting married …” Tinsley began.

“With no financial security,” Dorinda quickly interrupted. “Tinsley, I’d hate your life.”

Dorinda Medley FIRED from Real Housewives for Being a "Mean Drunk"

Almost as soon as news dropped that she had “quit,” it was reported that Dorinda Medley was fired from RHONY.

Now, a new report explains why Bravo had to cut her loose.

According to what sources tell Page Six, there is a specific issue that prompted Dorinda Medley’s firing.

Yes, firing — not the same as the initial, more dignified reports that she had quit.

According to insiders, Dorinda was given the axe because she had become a “mean drunk.”

Dorinda Medley - header fixit

The report clarifies that this is not an accustion that Dorinda had become a “drunk,” meaning an alcoholic.

Rather, that when she did choose to drink, her behavior was hostile and confrontational.

Up to a point, that can make for great television — but only up to a point.

“That’s just not where they want the show to go,” the insider explains.

Apparently, production wanted to distance themselves from her pattern of abrasive behavior.

Instead, they reasoned, they could find a new, fresh castmate for the other Housewives.

“In this climate of social justice and cancel culture,” the source claims, “she was not a good representative of the show or the network.”

Obviously, cancel culture is a mostly meaningless buzzword.

To some people, it refers to gleeful internet mob behavior. To others, it refers to people facing consequences for their behavior.

In this case, it may simply mean that production feared that Dorinda might go too far while drunk and earn backlash at the show.

There may have been things that we did not see — things that were edited out.

Sometimes, what goes on during filming leaks. Production may want to avoid having a particularly nasty incident go public.

Dorinda learned the stunning news of her firing while she was filming The $100,000 Pyramid for ABC.

She opted to spin it as quitting, which many other Housewives have done over the years.

Officially, Bravo usually allows this without comment. That doesn’t stop sources from spilling the alleged tea, however.

What is really interesting here is that apparently, Dorinda could have fixed this.

“If she’d have said [at the end of the season], ‘Look — I’ve been depressed and that’s why I’m acting like this,’” the insider begins.

The source continues: “Or, ‘I miss my [husband, Richard, who died in 2011],’ and said she’d work on it, I think it would have been different.”

Instead, apparently, the other Housewives were astonished … because Dorinda did nothing of the sort.

She did not, per these reports, acknowledge that she had crossed any lines with her behavior.

Bad behavior followed by a vow to change could have given her a real path to continue on the show.

Some fans have asked, and not unfairly, why Luann wasn’t banished from the series for her drinking — including the incident that led to her arrest.

Well, according to insiders, the explanation is simple.

Luann’s drinking may have turned her life upside down, but it wasn’t effing with the vibe and tone of the show. Dorinda’s was.

Dorinda Medley Speaks from Home

Of course, Bravo has not confirmed this report — or even claims that Dorinda was fired, and that she did not quit.

We don’t expect Dorinda to confirm anything of the sort any time soon, either.

Dorinda is moving on, and we wish her the best — in her career and also in terms of her personal struggles.
