Kody Brown: I Don’t Give a S–t About My Wives Anymore!

For a long time now, things with the Brown family have been … well, they haven’t been great.

They’ve actually been pretty horrific, judging by what we’ve seen on Sister Wives.

We’ve seen relationships change and deteriorate, we’ve seen family members be outright mean to each other.

It’s bad.

But this season has been especially interesting because a big theme of it all is Kody just entirely giving up on his family.

He truly seems to be over polygamy, and he’s said as much plenty of times in recent episodes.

He’s said that Janelle is “full of sh-t” and “lazy,” he’s said that he hasn’t felt a spark with Meri in the past several years.

In a sneak peek for this week’s episode, the season finale, he exclaimed that he was in “polygamy hell,” which seems quite dramatic.

And now, in another sneak peek for the finale, we’re seeing him with all of his sister wives, trying to work on their relationships.

But guess who doesn’t seem to care even the tiniest bit?

The clip, which you can watch in full below, begins with everyone gathered together while Janelle sets up a big ol’ easel so they can write things down.

Kody says that he doesn’t understand what they’re going to be talking about, and he asked in a sort of mocking way “Are we going to be talking about our feelings?”

“I’m coming into this whole conversation very cynical,” he admits during a confessional, “because I’m extremely discouraged that I can’t get my wives to all agree on one simple thing: preventing the spread of COVID in our family.”

“And so it’s pissing me off.”

This was all filmed early in the pandemic, and Christine was of the opinion that she’d already made plans for the coming months and she wasn’t going to cancel them while Janelle made it clear that she couldn’t stay quarantined all summer.

Still, Kody’s plan was that he’d be the only one to move between the four different households, which still wouldn’t be safe because he could still carry the virus from house to house.

Logic wasn’t really on anyone’s side here, obviously, so let’s just continue.

Back to the family meeting, we see Janelle writing something down on the easel — they seem to be taking turns writing down things that are important to them, and she writes that she “needs to make sure I’m heard.”

In her own confessional, she says “I think we’ve had communication problems for a long time,” and she goes on to explain that with the new stress the pandemic added to the family, that was made even more clear to her.

For Christine’s turn, she says “So I need to feel important at the end of a conversation, I feel like some of my ideas … I don’t feel like I’m important, I don’t even really have a say.”

“Everyone just assumes I’m just being a princess because I’m not expressing myself well,” she continues. “I’m not ever intending to be a princess, but I think I’m seen that way and it’s frustrating.”

Kody then tells her “I feel like everybody feels that same way, like it’s a fight constantly to like have an idea even heard, so …”

It really feels like he’s pouting here, so Robyn tries to hold his hand through this and ask him what he wants to write on the easel, what issue he wants to talk about when it comes to their communication.

“Nothing,” he answers, because of course that’s his answer.

“Yes you are,” Robyn chides him, “you have to play.”

He thinks for a minute then tells his wives “My problem is I don’t want to write anything down there because I don’t give a sh-t anymore.”

Absolutely charming, right?

We don’t get to see how the wives react to that beyond a few shocked expressions, but back in his confessional he tells the camera “You know, we’ve moved here, we’re going through the struggles, I’ve been arguing about COVID now for so long with these ladies …”

“That’s the reason I don’t care anymore,” he explains. “I don’t enjoy the relationship anymore because it feels like a constant fight.”‘

And that’s the end of the video.

At this point in the game, it’s pretty clear that no one is going to leave the family — they all believe so strongly in their marriages because of their religion, and it’s probably safe to say the perks of being on the show are an incentive to stay as well.

But it’s also clear that they’re all completely miserable with each other most of the time.

Is the show just going to be like this for the rest of its time on the air?

Are they just going to say worse and worse things to each other as they pretend like any of this is working?

Like, we’ll still watch, but man, are things looking bleak here.

What do you think about the current state of this family?

Sister Wives: Maybe We Should Live in One Big House After All!

If you’ve been keeping up with Sister Wives, then you know that a big source of the Brown family drama for the past couple of seasons has been about moving.

So. Much. Moving. Drama.

The family packed up and left what many considered to be an ideal situation in Las Vegas to move to Arizona all the way back in the summer of 2018, and since then, things just haven’t been great.

Instead of living in four houses all next to each other like they did in Las Vegas, the four wives are spread out across the city of Flagstaff.

They also own a large chunk of land out in the country that they just can’t seem to figure out what to do with.

We’ve seen quite a bit of feuding over the plots of land and over which wife gets which plot, but a big thing last season specifically was Kody’s desire to have the family all living under the same roof.

Fans will remember that this is how things were back when they lived in Utah in the first couple of seasons — Meri, Janelle, Christine and Kody lived in one big house divided into three apartments for years.

Kody envisioned everyone doing the same in Arizona, so much that he even designed a house that he thought would meet everyone’s needs.

But unfortunately for him, his wives couldn’t agree on it, and now he’s stuck going all over the city to spend time in each separate home.

Except as we’re seeing this season, the pandemic changed things up a bit.

And now, in a sneak peek for this week’s episode, it’s starting to sound like some of the Browns are reconsidering that whole “one big house” idea.

In the clip, which you can watch in full below, Robyn’s oldest daughter was turning 18, so this would have been filmed last April.

To celebrate, Christine brought her three youngest daughters over for a visit, but they stayed out in the yard while Kody, Robyn, and their children stood in the doorway.

Poor little Truely asked if she could come inside to play with her siblings, but Robyn told her that she couldn’t.

“It’s awful to hear,” Christine said later in a confessional. “She can’t, she still has to stay socially distanced, and she’s more frustrated than Gwendlyn and Ysabel because they get it, but Truely doesn’t get it.”

In her own confessional, Robyn said “The idea of living in one big home together during this right now, what would it be like?”

“I’m sitting here thinking ‘What are other plural families doing?'”

“There’s a part of me that’s like ‘There would be major benefits for us to be living in one home right now during this pandemic, we would just be hunkering down together and being careful together, and we’d have to come to an agreement about how to do it,'” she continued.

Janelle expanded on that in another separate talk to the cameras, saying “If we’d been in one house, then of course that would have just been a natural thing that we would have just been like a pod, a village, a little mini isolated village.”

It sounds like they’re sort of regretting their decision, right?

It would have made things a lot easier on the whole family if they were all living together — and Kody wouldn’t have had to throw that tantrum last week when Janelle tried to be responsible about social distancing.

But Christine was definitely the most outspoken against the idea of the one big house … is she feeling that regret too?

Back in her confessional, she said “I imagine if we were all together in one house … no. I can’t imagine it, I don’t want to imagine it. I’m just not gonna even imagine it.”

So that answers that question.

Going back to the scene at Robyn’s house, we see Ariella, Robyn and Kody’s youngest daughter, give Truely a stuffed animal, and Truely once again asked if she could go inside and play.

“Not yet, sweetheart,” Kody told her. “The only person that’s traveling from house to house is me. Sorry.”

But Truely, as Christine explained, doesn’t quite understand the concept of social distancing, although Robyn did tell her “Being apart from each other right now is the best way we can love each other.”

And there we have it.

Even though it really does sound like it would have been great for the whole family to have been under one roof going into the pandemic, obviously it didn’t happen, and it’s clear that it’s not going to happen anytime soon.

If a worldwide crisis like this can’t bring the family together, what can?

Teen Mom & Teen Mom 2: The Complete Babies, Kids & Stepkids Guide!

The girls from Teen Mom are good at many things.

They’re good at creating reality show magic, whether it’s through their family or romantic trials and tribulations.

Some of them have written books, or even tried to start music careers, or Cam Girl careers, and while none of those were actually good … well, it was nice that Farrah tried.

But we can probably all agree that the area where the Teen Moms really, truly excel is the baby-making area.

Because they have so. Many. Babies.

So many you may have forgotten about some of them, impossible as that seems. Can you name them all?

Here’s the full rundown! Find out!

1. Sophia (Farrah Abraham and Derek Underwood)

Farrah and sophia at the mtv movie awards
Oh, Soph. Unlike many of her Teen Mom tot counterparts, Sophia lives the life of luxury, thanks to her mother, non-porn star Farrah Abraham. Seriously, the younger Abraham has had her own clothing line, dabbles in child modeling, receives $900 when the tooth fairy pays a visit, and is even beginning her own music career. (Sophia’s father, Derek, died in a car accident while Farrah was still pregnant; Derek’s grave is the site of many memorable TM scenes, which some believe to be shamelessly orchestrated by Farrah). Sophia is going to be a handful when she grows up at this rate … the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as they say.

2. Leah (Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley)

Amber portwood with leah shirley
Amber Portwood shares darling little Leah Shirley with her ex, Gary. Gary has custody, and he’s had it since Amber went to prison a few years back for all that domestic violence and drug stuff. Leah seems like a really smart, sweet girl, which is all thanks to Gary and his wife, Kristina — from what we’ve seen, Amber doesn’t spend a whole lot of time with her.

3. James (Amber Portwood and Andrew Glennon)

James glennon
Amber welcomed her second child, James, with Andrew Glennon in the spring of 2018. Their relationship survived about a year after that, because as it turned out, Amber still had a violent streak. She was convicted of assaulting Andrew in 2019, and after that, Andrew was given primary physical custody of James. Since then, he’s claimed that she’s been pretty flaky about the visits, but we don’t know too much more about it, since they’ve agreed not to put little James on the show.

4. Emilee (Gary and Kristina Shirley)

Gary shirley and family
Gary went on to have one child after leaving his disastrous relationship with Amber — he and his wife, Kristina, have a daughter named Emilee.

5. Carly (Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra)

Catelynn and tyler teen mom
When middle school sweethearts (and briefly step-siblings) Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra made the decision to give their baby Carly up for adoption, it marked one of the most touching, bittersweet moments in reality TV history. What made it all the more incredible was that they stayed involved in her life – albeit with some bumps in the road – ever since.

6. Nova (Catelynn and Tyler)

Cute nova gets to visit sister carly
Tyler and Catelynn kept and are raising Novalee Reign Baltierra together, not that it’s been easy. Catelynn has struggled greatly with postpartum depression, leading to multiple inpatient stays at a psychiatric facility in Arizona.

Kody Brown: Being Married to Meri is THE WORST!

If you’ve seen any episode of Sister Wives — like any episode ever, pretty much — you’ve probably seen that Kody and Meri Brown don’t exactly have the best relationship.

And if you’ve seen an episode from the past few seasons, you know that’s a massive understatement.

Meri has been with Kody since the very beginning — she was his very first wife, and his only legal one until they divorced so he could legally marry Robyn, a move that was required so he could adopt her three children from her first marriage.

But as we’ve observed on the show, things haven’t always been great between them.

In the early seasons, they struggled with Meri’s infertility and with the fact that she was only able to give birth to one child while the other sister wives have had several.

Then, of course, came the catfish scandal — you remember, that whole thing where Meri was so miserable in her marriage that she had an emotional affair with a man that turned out to be a deceitful woman.

This put a strain on their marriage for obvious reasons, and in the years since they’ve only grown further apart.

Things got so bad that at the end of the last season of the show, Meri declared that their relationship was “dead.”

So how is their relationship now?

Well, judging by a new sneak peek for this week’s episode, it’s still really terrible.

The clip, which you can watch in full below, begins with Meri, Kody, and Robyn out for a walk.

As Robyn explains in a later interview, “Kody and Meri don’t need more, kind of like misunderstandings or even like issues in their relationship. They’re already struggling right now.”

Kody agrees in an interview of his own — according to him, “My relationship with at Meri is, at best, just distant and amicable.”

“You know, I could buck up, put my backpack on and go for a run, be tough about it, but I’m just not interested in it.”

He says that “For all of my marriage with Meri, I’ve felt like she unloads her emotions into a burden that I’m supposed to carry.”

“I’m not carrying this burden,” he says. “There’s no reason that I should.”

Yikes, right?

There’s some footage of their walk, which is silent and awkward, then Kody gets right back to talking about what a bummer it is to be with Meri.

“I haven’t put effort into that relationship specifically because I have three other relationships that are rewarding and wholesome and with children that need me, need to see me,” he explains.

Over in Meri’s interview, she says that “I’m really careful about pushing Kody because I don’t want him to feel like I’m being demanding or pushy or anything like that, so I feel like I’ve made it known to him enough where I want the relationship to go as far as even just moving forward and just starting to figure things out.”

“It’s best to just leave the ball in his court.”

Meanwhile, we hear Kody say “Neither of us see real value in the relationship, ’cause if Meri and I really wanted to be together, we would.”

A romance for the ages, huh?

We know that marriage is very important in their religion and that divorce has never really seemed to be an option, but you’d think that if both of them were this sick of each other, they’d be able to figure something out.

It’s just getting uncomfortable to see how much contempt he seems to have for her and to see them pretend like this is working.

Guys … it’s not working.

Kody Brown: Turns Out Polygamy Kind of Sucks!

It’s a great day to be a Sister Wives fan!

At long last, nearly a year after the last season wrapped up, it’s finally time for the new season to premiere.

And not a moment too soon, right?

Thanks to social media, we know a little bit about what’s been going on with the Brown family.

We know about Maddie’s baby and the health issues she’s faced, and we know that Mykelti is pregnant with her first child!

We’ve also heard about Ysabel’s big surgery to help with her scoliosis.

But those are all pretty big things — we don’t know about the little issues, or the day-to-day drama we know comes with being a sister wife.

They usually save all that for the show.

And judging by a new sneak peek for the season premiere, we know that the drama is definitely alive and well.

In the video, which you can watch in full below, we see Kody, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn all gathered around a table, having a chat.

It seems like they’re having a big discussion about the family and their dynamics, because we see Janelle asking Robyn about why she chose to “enter the principle,” which she explains to the camera later is their “real term” for plural marriage.

Everyone seems taken aback by this question, so Janelle takes the time to explain her reasoning for wanting to be a sister wife.

“I did it because I loved the idea of the whole family,” she says, “and this whole group’s energy, and I really felt like we would get progression, the whole idea is that we would overcome our crap.”

The “crap,” she clarifies later, is being selfish.

Meri says that she wanted to be a sister wife because she grew up in that lifestyle, and Christine’s story is basically the same.

“The big family thing was always really cool to me,” Robyn says. “I loved when I first met you guys how you guys functioned. I loved it.”

“We seemed so functional,” Kody interjects, and Meri laughs and says “We really pulled the wool over your eyes.”

Robyn tells them that’s not what she meant, and that she thinks they still function well as a family, but Kody seems to disagree.

“I’ve thought about this a lot lately,” he begins, “because I’ve told friends recently that I didn’t want to be an advocate of plural marriage anymore.”

Say what?!

“I am more aware now than I ever was before the apparent and obvious unfairness in the relationship,” he continues. “I know I have all the love I want and you guys sometimes feel like you’re pining constantly for me to give you some.”

He says that he was recently having dinner with Logan, one of the family’s many children, and that he told him “I have really messed this up.”

Kody tells the camera later more about all of this, saying “We came into this by way of commandment, we felt like we were supposed to live it and we had an ideal that it was a better way, and I’ve come to a stark reality of the struggle that it is.”

And that’s it, that’s the clip.

So this is a huge deal, right?

After all, Kody has been defending plural marriage since the series began — how many times have we heard him saying “love should be multiplied, not divided” in the show’s opening?

He’s refused to really listen to his wives talk about how difficult it is to share their husband because he’s always believed so strongly that it was the right way to live.

To hear him finally acknowledge how hard it must be for his wives is …well, it’s really something.

So where do they go from here?

Is he going to try to divide his attention more evenly between the wives? Is he going to allow them to have other relationships if they’d like?

Is he going do what many fans of the show think he’s doing anyway and focus solely on Robyn, who seems to be his favorite?

Guess we’ll have to watch to find out!

Briana DeJesus: Devoin is Breaking Our Daughter’s Heart!

As you may have heard, Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin, the father of her oldest daughter, do not get along.

It’s been sort of a thing for the past several years.

They obviously liked each other at some point, enough to conceive a child at least, but whatever affection they had for each other is long gone.

And in its place is just a bunch of angry texts and passive aggressive social media posts.

Briana and Devoin have been doing this little song and dance quite a bit for the past few months — they get mad at each other, post about it on Instagram and/or Twitter, then the other person responds indirectly on Instagram and/or Twitter and nothing ever gets resolved.

It’s stressful just watching it from the outside, we can’t imagine how exhausting it must be to actually co-parent like this.

If you want to see a good example of what we’re talking about here, wait till you see their latest social media battle …

1. Shocker

Briana and nova pic
Believe it or not, Briana is mad at Devoin. Yeah, again.

2. A Strained Relationship

Briana explains the coronavirus
She gets mad at him pretty often, and sometimes she’s completely justified, like when he got drunk while watching Nova alone at a pool or when he posted her phone number on Instagram.

3. Hmm

But sometimes she does seem to make coparenting difficult just because.

4. Good Question

Is that what’s happening here? Let’s see if we can figure it out!

5. How It Started

Briana ig rant 1
OK, so their latest public feud began last night when Devoin apparently failed to pick Nova up from gymnastics practice — we know this because Briana shared some texts she sent to him.

6. So Mad

Briana dejesus loooks upset
“Your f-cking daughter walked in the house f-cking sad and upset,” she told Devoin. “She thought she wasn’t getting picked up!”
