Briana DeJesus and Kailyn Lowry have never been friends, exactly.
Depending on which one of them you ask, you might get a very different answer as to why that is.
Briana is likely to tell you that Kail didn’t like her from the moment she joined the cast of Teen Mom 2 — perhaps she felt threatened, or simply didn’t feel like sharing her spotlight.
Lowry, on the other hand, would probably say that her dislike for DeJesus has to do with Briana’s decision to date Javi Marroquin, the ex-husband with whom Kail was reportedly on the verge of reconciling.

Because pretty much all these two seem to do is fight and make babies, and seeing as how Kail just had a baby less than two months ago, they’ll probably be fighting for a while.
Sounds like a blast, huh?
Anyway, Kailyn and Chris have been fighting for … well, we’re not sure how long they’ve been fighting because they go back and forth on their feelings for each other so often, but things have been particularly bad this month after he cut their son’s hair without her permission.
Not only did he get the kid a haircut without her knowledge, but it was an absolute hack job, too.
She was very, very upset, and things only appear to be getting worse.
So much worse that Chris has actually gone and liked an Instagram photo of Briana DeJesus, Kail’s archenemy.
On the surface, that doesn’t sound like a huge deal, but when you think about how much Kailyn and Briana hate each other and how the entire reason their feud began was because Briana started hooking up with another of Kail’s baby daddies …
Well, it’s not good.
What makes it even less good is that Chris doesn’t even follow Briana on Instagram, so he had to seek out the photo, it’s not like it just came across his feed.
And the cherry on top?
Briana appeared to be topless in her photo.
Kail has accused Briana of DMing Chris in the past, and although Briana has strongly denied it, it does seem to be a sore spot for Kailyn.
So liking her photo really is interesting, isn’t it?
There’s been a lot of speculation about why Chris liked the photo — if he was just trying to bother Kail, or if he was genuinely trying to make something happen with Briana.
But we don’t have to wonder, because Chris just took the time to explain things in an Instagram Live.
While he was doing the live video, one of his followers asked him about the whole thing, and in his own defense, Chris said “It was one picture, bro. One picture.”
“Are you butthurt about one picture?” he asked. “Oh my god, you need to grow up. You’re like probably 50 worrying about why I liked a picture. That’s what the app is for, guys.”
And yeah, that’s technically true, but … come on.
He insisted that he’s not interested in causing drama, and that if he was, “I’d be liking you-know-who’s pictures.”
We’re not sure who “you-know-who” is in this context — maybe Kailyn herself? Maybe Jenelle Evans?
But immediately after saying that he didn’t want drama, he admitted that “At the time I was being petty. I can admit it, at the time I was being petty.”
“I was angry,” he went on. “It happens. I’m a human.”
Then he went right back to his original defense, saying that he just “came across a picture I liked,” and that’s all there is to it.
He obviously thought he was being cute with the whole “all I did was like a picture!” stuff, but we think there’s a lot more truth to the comments about being petty.
We just wonder what exactly got him mad enough to think of this move and then go through with it.

When Briana DeJesus stopped by her local Planned Parenthood following a drunken one-night stand with her ex, she probably just thought she was exercising an abundance of caution.
Little did she know, she’d wind up paying a steep price for her momentary lapse in judgement.
Yes, as you may have heard by now, DeJesus caught an STD from baby daddy Luis Hernandez.
Understandably, Briana says she felt frustrated and humiliated upon learning the bad news.
But Briana allowed MTV to document this difficult chapter in her life in the hope that others might learn from her example.
Since Teen Mom 2 essentially started out as a show documenting the dangers of unprotected sex, we guess the series is staying true to its mission by following Bri on this painful journey.
In a preview for Tuesday night’s episode, we see DeJesus and her friend Shirley making a nerve-wracking trip to Planned Parenthod so that Bri can get tested.
“Since we had unprotected sex, today I’m getting tested for STIs,” she says in the clip.
“If I have something, I don’t even know what I’m going to do. I’m so nervous.”
“Next time you’re gonna have sex with Luis think of this exact moment,” Shirley tells her.
Maybe it’s not the most supportive comment in that moment, but we suppose Bri’s friend has a point.
To her credit, Briana doesn’t shy away from sharing the more embarrassing details of her encounter either with her nurse or with Teen Mom 2 viewers.
“Have you ever had sex while intoxicated?” the nurse asks her.
Briana winces and answers in the affirmative, an acknowledgement that she was drunk when she hooked up with Luis.
DeJesus consents to both blood and urine tests, in order to ensure that she’s screened for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV/AIDS.
She also reveals how many sex partners she’s had in the past 12 months and sheepishly admits to not always using condoms.
Obviously, there’s no shame in getting tested — in fact, it’s something to be quite proud of.
But this clearly wasn’t the proudest moment in DeJesus’ life, and she deserves credit for allowing it to be filmed.
“My mental health wasn’t there and I did something that I regret, but I ended up catching an STD and I didn’t think anything of it,” Briana told People magazine in a recent interview.
“I thought maybe letting MTV film this personal experience would be a learning experience for others, to teach others that it’s okay to get tested and it’s okay to talk about it,” she continued.
“And that kind of bit me in the ass because something came up positive in my test results and they definitely filmed it all.”
Despite the difficulty of living out these moments on camera, Briana says she has no regrets about allowing MTV to follow her to Planned Parenthood.
“I hate that I have to relive it over again because I’m finally over it, but hopefully it’s more of a learning experience for everybody else,” she added.
“I hope people can learn from my mistakes because I’ve made tons of mistakes.”
At its core, of course, the Teen Mom franchise is all about dealing with the fallout from mistakes.
We applaud Briana for offering up her own story as a cautionary tale.
