Kailyn Lowry’s choices don’t always make a lot of sense to the rest of us.
Mostly, they’re her choices to make … with a few notable exceptions.
But recently, a rumor has circulated that Kailyn Lowry is engaged to Chris Lopez after everything they’ve been through.
Kail is finally ready to discuss this with her fans.
Earlier this week, Chris Lopez took to Twitter to share an eyebrow-raising message.
“How [are] you [supposed] to know what size ring to get the girl if it’s a surprise?” he asked.
Though Chris has since deleted the tweet … well, it was obviously too late. People saw.
Rings can serve many purposes and can make amazing gifts.
But the most obvious reason for a ring gift to be a “surprise” is if it is an engagement ring for a proposal.
And Chris’ most famous entanglement is Kailyn Lowry. I mean, they have two kids together.
Obviously, Kailyn’s fans were horrified at the idea, especially as rumors turned his tweet into full-blown engagement panic.
“Why are people saying you’re engaged to baby daddy No. 3?” one of Kail’s fans asked her on Instagram.
This was during an Instagram Q&A session that she held this week.
“Well, that’s a new rumor to me,” Kailyn admitted.
“I would never, ever accept a ring from him,” she affirmed.
Fans were reassured at this news.
Together, Kailyn and Chris have two children.
Lux is now four years old.
Creed is just 14 months old.
It wasn’t that they got together, had two kids, and then split.
There was a lot of ugliness and bitter conflict between Lux’s conception and Creed’s.
For that matter, Lux didn’t have a name for weeks because Kail waited (in vain) for Chris to be involved enough to discuss it with her.
Most people wouldn’t have a second child with someone after he publicly burned their book.
(And that is to say nothing of the alarming accusations of physical abuse)
With all of that ugliness in their history, fans were obviously less than confident that Kailyn is done with Chris for good.
It’s a relief to hear that they’re not engaged right now, at least.
And if Chris were planning a surprise engagement-slash-reconciliation (two for one!), Kail would say no.
At least, she says that she would. That’s the best that we’re going to get.
But … that doesn’t explain what Chris Lopez was talking about in the first place.
Was he just baiting Kailyn’s fans? That’s not entirely unlike him.
According to Kail’s social media on Thursday, Chris might have been ring-shopping after all.
“Congratulations to Chris & his new family,” Kailyn wrote on her Instagram Stories on September 16.
“So exciting for the boys to have a new sibling to love,” she gushed.

Kail is opening up about her ex’s cheating tried to land her in hot water.
A couple of years back, she was being blackmailed … but it didn’t work out as intended.
In a recent episode of Baby Mamas No Drama, Kailyn told her co-host Vee Torres and the podcast’s listeners about what went down.
The mother of four was hit with an attempt at financial extortion.
“She said, ‘You can pay me to keep my mouth shut,’” Kaily recalled.
While Kailyn did not actually name which ex got her into this, but … everything about this story screams “Chris Lopez.”
“I was absolutely in love with this person,” she said of her ex.
“Like, you say jump, I say ‘how high?’ I loved him,” Kailyn confessed.
“I had stayed with him through a lot a bulls–t,” Kailyn admitted.
“But I just thought if I held him down long enough, he would pick me,” she admitted, “ride or die.”
It would be great if she loved herself enough to choose better. Also if she loved her kids enough to vaccinate them.
“I was always worried about the same two girls that were always coming around,” Kailyn recalled.
“He couldn’t let go of them,” she explained.
Kail added: “I never really worried about random girls.”
“He kept rotating between me and these other girls …” Kailyn characterized.
“I’m a phone checker, I go through phones,” she admitted, describing one of her toxic qualities.
“If I don’t know the password, I will tap it to see, did someone text you?” Kail shared.
“A number kept coming up,” Kailyn revealed, referring to the proceeds of her toxic snooping.
“At first it was not saved,” she added, “so I put it in my phone.”
Apparently Kail confronted the unnamed guy (Chris), who told her that it was “nothing.”
He went so far as to answer a call from this unknown girl’s sister in front of her.
However, he seemed reluctant to admit that he was in a relationship at all, which was a huge red flag.
“But what can I do?” Kailyn lamented. “I don’t have proof that they’re together.”
One day, yet another contact from that number prompted Kailyn to message the unknown girl.
The response informed Kail that she was in a “full-blown relationship” with Kailyn’s erstwhile man.
It was only after that Kailyn received a “long f–king text” threatening to humiliate her.
Kailyn received a lengthy message “saying she’s going to reach out to MTV and tell them my secret, and if I don’t pay her …”
“She said she was going to write in to MTV and ‘wait until they find this, this and this out,’” she added.
“She had my address, which was not the address I was at now,” Kail noted.
“She knew things about me that only he would know, nothing that the public would know,” Kailyn continued.
These were intimate things that you talk about in a relationship, not even things you talk about with your friends,” she shared.
“So you knew he was pillow-talking with her,” Kail explained. “I was like, ‘Go ahead [and tell MTV].’”
The response from this girl was a request to meet up “because she wants to fight.”
Fortunately, Kail did not take the bait, unlike with her Applebees altercation.
“That was a different girl that I was cheated on with,” Kail detailed. “Same man, different girl.”
The girl didn’t let up, though, even texting her a photo from inside of his room alongside her Cash app info.
She was threatening to reveal the affair if Kail didn’t pay up.
“She said, ‘You can pay me to keep my mouth shut,’” Kail shared.
“I sent her MTV’s address and was like, ‘Here you go!’” Kailyn continued.
Sure, being cheated on by Chris is humiliating, but is it any more embarrassing than dating him or having his kids?
At least the cheating isn’t directly her fault. Can’t say the same about the other stuff.
Later, the girl reached out to apologize.
“She was like, ‘I’m sorry I did that, I just needed money for my kids for Christmas,’” Kail recalled.
“So … you tried to extort me and you were threatening to ruin my life, my reputation, and my family and my relationship and my business?” she asked.
“I was being a smart ass so I texted her back. I said, ‘If you needed money you could have just asked,'” Kailyn shared.
“I was being a smart ass,” she clarified.
Kail recalled: “But she came back and said, ‘I’m really sorry. I just needed money for my kids for Christmas.’”
After that, Kailyn asked how she ever “got back with this man.”
It’s almost like she makes very poor decisions at times. Not new information.
“I was getting back with someone I didn’t trust and I was setting myself up for failure every time,” Kail acknowledged.
“You can’t keep a man who doesn’t want to be kept,” she admitted.
“He didn’t want to be kept; it was convenient,” she characterized his motives.
“All of us were all wanting to be with him, but we were all convenient for him,” Kail added.
“He literally said to me, with his own mouth, that if he could be with all three of us at the same time, he would,” Kailyn ashared.
Apparently he told her “because he gets different things from all of us.”
Well, if all four of them were down for that, polyamory could be great. But if not, then it’s cheating.
(Well … Chris also sucks for other reasons unrelated to cheating)
“Low self-esteem will really have you f–ked up, and that was me,” Kail admitted.
“I’m talking about myself. I had low self-esteem,” she added.
“I was going through some s–t to be with someone who would put me through that,” Kailyn said.
“I stayed through that … I don’t know why I was weak,” she added, “but I got caught up in that mess.”
By the way, she did confront him about “Extortion Girl” … but apparently it didn’t change his relationship with that girl. Class act.

Not even having two children together could make Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez get along.
Recently, Chris took shots at Kail, accusing her of deliberately having conflicts with him and not her other baby daddies.
But as Kailyn so thoroughly lays out in a recent Instagram rant, she’s not the bad guy here.
She’s not the one acting like a part-time babysitter instead of like an actual, adult parent.
Lux is 4 years old (already!). Creed is 1 year old.

The mother of four took to her Instagram to issue a thorough rant.
“The bar has been set really low for men,” Kailyn said accurately of gendered parenting expectations.
“It’s really annoying and tired,” she expressed.
“And,” Kailyn continued, “I’m over being called a bitter mom or I’m this.”
“And I’m trying to keep my sons away from their dad,” she said, parroting the accusations leveled at her.
Kailyn pointed the finger at Chris: “when you don’t contribute financially,”
“When you don’t know what the school schedule is,” Kailyn accused her second baby daddy.
She added: “you don’t know when doctor’s appointments are…”
“Am I bitter or am I doing what I have to do for my children?” Kailyn quizzed. “You guys decide.”
“I also wanted to say if you’re only taking care of the financial burden on your 2 per cent of time, you’re not contributing,” Kailyn announced.
“I’m sorry, but when I tell you how much the tuition is and you can’t call to put some amount of money towards that…” she accused.
Becoming a parent comes with responsibilities, even if your partner is more affluent.
“My kids are your little brothers, that’s what they are,” Kailyn assessed.
She characterized Chris: “You become like a part-time babysitter.”
“I shouldn’t see you on a shed on Instagram Live,” Kailyn scolded, “when you’re supposed to be taking care of my kids.”
“If you want 50 per cent [custody] that means you have to do 50 per cent of the work,” Kailyn pointed out.
“That means you call the school directly for information, you call the doctors,” she explained.
Of course, someone already interested in and committed to being a good parent would hopefully already know this.
“I’m no longer holding a grown man’s hand and walking him through fatherhood at 27, 28,” Kailyn declared.
“You guys – all men – need to step up. Show up,” she encouraged.
“I’m just so confused,” Kail expressed, “like… a mom is just expected to do all of it and then the dad doesn’t have to do anything.”
“No. Cut the s–t. Cut the s–t,” Kailyn added.
“You’re literally a part-time babysitter for your little brothers,” she reiterated.
Kailyn added: “That’s what’s happening.”
The reason, she explained, that Lincoln and Isaac’s dads see them more often is because they’re, you know, dads.
That is, Javi Marroquin and Jo Rivera are “physically and financially present” in their respective sons’ lives.
“Jo and Javi have 50 per cent of their kids because they are present 50 per cent of the time – if not more – and they contribute 50 per cent of the time financially,” Kail said.
“So they walk the walk and they talk the talk,” Kailyn explained.
“So I may not have liked it at first,” she said, “but I was able to give up the 50 per cent because they were doing what they were saying they were going to do.”
“They were present financially and physically,” Kailyn noted. “I’m honestly sick of the ‘Kail is the problem’. I’m sick of it. I’m so tired of it.”
While she might not be one of the “OGs” of the franchise, Kailyn Lowry has been a star in the Teen Mom universe for her entire adult life.
And her involvement with Teen Mom 2 has certainly made her life richer — albeit a bit more complicated.
