Teen Mom 2 fans know that there has been no shortage of drama between Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez.
Her two-time baby daddy is also serving up twice the drama, and Kail is giving as good as she gets.
But that doesn’t mean that she never gives Chris a chance to explain his side.
In fact, Kailyn has revealed that the only person stopping her ex from speaking to her fans … is Chris.
Kailyn extended a frankly undeserved olive branch to Chris.
She invited him to participate on her podcast, Coffee Convos.
There, Chris was to discuss their feud and share his perspective.
However, the episode did not go as planned.
Oh, Chris showed up and even spoke.
But according to Kailyn, the audio from Chris was unusable.
This week, Kailyn Lowry went on Instagram Live to explain what happened.
She had received backlash from fans for a while.
They were giving her a hard time about why neither Chris nor Javi Marroquin had appeared on her show.
“I wanted to clear the air really quickly,” Kailyn explained.
She also noted: “Javi has been on Coffee Convos not once but twice.”
But in order to appease these very strange complaints from fans, she addressed the Chris question.
“And Chris and I actually recorded an episode,” Kailyn revealed.
She detailed that they recorded “with [Kailyn’s cohost] Lindsie [Chrisley] for Coffee Convos.”
So … why haven’t fans ever heard it?
“Unfortunately, he mumbled his way through it,” Kailyn lamented.
“And,” she explained, “so we were unable to air that episode.”
Kailyn expressed: “So I just wanted to say that and know what you’re talking about before you talk s–t.”
Kailyn is a mother of four, her eldest being 11-year-old Isaac, whom she shares with Jonathan Rivera.
Her 8-year-old son, Lincoln, was fathered by Javi.
Lux, who is 3, and Creed, who is 10 months old, are both sons of Chris Lopez.
Chris has fired back against Kailyn’s accusations of mumbling, however.
“We were doing good up until this weekend,” he angrily announced on his own podcast.
“We were doing wonderful,” Chris added.
“Just a bunch of nonsense,” Chris complained
“Next thing you know we got a whole 10-slide… shots thrown at me,” he griped.
“Y’all start drama because your show coming out,” Chris then accused.
“It’s so corny…” Chris added.
“People ain’t gonna talk about how we were just getting along,” he alleged.
Chris concluded: “Because it don’t go with their story.”
It is certainly no secret that reality stars are encouraged to make a splash before any season premiere, book sale, or any other opportunity.
But does that mean that Chris didn’t speak on the podcast and mumble?
And wasn’t Kailyn just responding to fan questions, not deliberately stirring the pot?
Honestly, we don’t know all of the answers, and that’s okay.
There is one way that Kailyn could potentially clear the air and close the book on this question.
She could release the recording, even if it isn’t up to podcast quality standards, so that fans can hear Chris mumble for themselves.
At this point, Kailyn Lowry’s on-again, off-again status with Chris Lopez is a nightmare for her fans.
They want to support her, but they cannot understand her choices.
Kail is trying to explain why she keeps giving new chances to a man who keeps squandering them.
But at the same time, she says that Chris is more like a “sperm donor” than an actual father.
Kailyn Lowry chatted with her friend, Toni, on her Baby mamas No Drama podcast.
Together, the pair of mothers commiserated over the epic highs and lows of single parenting.
And there’s more to their day-to-day struggles than just doing parenting things on their own.
Toni discussed her son, Brandon, and how Brandon’s father does not seem interested in being a dad.
Kailyn remarked: “I don’t know what I would say to Brandon if he ever wanted to go meet his dad.”
“I don’t even want to call him a dad,” Kail then added.
Toni then jumped in: “No, we call him the sperm donor.”
“Yes,” Kailyn agreed.
“That’s what I call mine, too,” she shared.
Kailyn is of course referring to two-time baby daddy, Chris Lopez.
He is the most recent man to have kids with her and the only one to have two Kailyn babies to his name.
He also seems to be, well, the worst of the lot.
Kailyn and Chris were first publicly known to be dating in 2017.
It was not long after that when Kail learned that she was pregnant.
Her baby was born in 2018 … but it was weeks before he had a name.
The reason for the delay was that, apparently, Chris couldn’t be bothered to participate.
Many parents have strong opinions about what names their children should have.
Eventually, Kailyn had to give up and give her son a (genuinely good) name, Lux.
Kailyn and Chris did not break up permanently, unfortunately.
Over the next two years, they had an extremely toxic co-parenting relationship.
All the while, they also had an on-again, off-again romantic relationship.
This was even more disastrous than it sounded.
Some of their fights allegedly became physical, raising cries of alarm from fans.
These fans were then horrified when, in early 2020, Kailyn announced that she was once again pregnant.
Creed was born in July of 2020, and did not have to wait as long as Lux to receive a name.
Chris’ contributions — or lack thereof — towards his two children have been a major source of annoyance for Kail.
It has caused many fans to wonder why Kail even holds out hope. Aren’t the kids better off without him?
Kailyn recently addressed this very question.
“For the listeners who do not understand my wanting to include Chris in things or wanting to have a second child by him,” she said.
Kail then asked: “What is it about relationships with men or relationships in general.”
Kail continued: “It could be with women I guess or having children with him, whatever that looks like.”
“And,” she added, “still wanting to include them even though they’ve made us cry.”
Kailyn listed “they’ve broken up with us, they’ve done x,y, or z, lie, they do whatever…”
“And we want them to be involved with these children that we’re having,” Kailyn tried to explain.
She also shared that she had suffered a miscarriage during her relationship with Chris.
According to her, she only let Chris return to her life because, for some reason, she wanted to give him a chance to do better.
“I ended up pregnant not once, not twice, but Chris and I had a miscarriage before… ” Kailyn revealed.
“Through all the s–t, maybe he would pick me kinda,” she mused.
“Not pick me over the child… like not in a way like I’m going to get pregnant so he loves me,” Kailyn clarified.
“I am pregnant so maybe this kinda will open his eyes,” Kailyn explained her mode of thinking.
It’s always interesting to hear insight into how and why people make the mistakes that they do.
A lot of people can learn from that — and hopefully Kailyn can be one of them.

As Teen Mom 2 fans are very well aware, there’s currently no love lost between Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez.
Fans want to know why Chris even had Creed with her if it’s as bad as he claims. And his answer is … disgusting.
Chris has been whining and moaning to anyone who will listen about what a nightmare Kail is supposed to be.
He says that she’s difficult at best to coparent with — and that this was the case before Creed, when they only shared one child.
Naturally, some fans have some questions for Chris if they’re going to believe him.
One wants to know how Creed even came to be if Kailyn is as he describes.
“Why did you have another baby with [Kailyn] after it being so difficult to coparent with Lux?” one fan asked.
Unfortunately, Chris’ choice to answer with a joke did not go over well.
“Stockholm syndrome…” Chris wrote on his Instagram Stories to answer the question.

Following a series of three laughing emojis and a skull emoji, Chris then admitted: “I crack myself up sometimes.”
“This is not funny,” a social media user commented when Chris’ joke came to light.
“This is really disgusting. I feel sorry for Lux & Creed,” another expressed with sorrow.
“Umm you’re a grown adult talking about your child,” observed yet another fan. “God help these kids.”
Kailyn and Chris have had a troubled and tumultuous relationship, to say the least.
Kail was arrested earlier this year for allegedly assaulting Chris after he had son Lux’s hair cut (I’d be pissed too, but violence is not the answer to that).
Additionally, she has a Protection From Abuse order against Chris — and alarming reports of him being violent with and around her have circulated for quite some time.
“I used to feel like my side of the story needed to be told to keep facts right…” Chris wrote earlier this month.
He then continues by claiming: Now I don’t care what story you choose to believe.”
Chris shared a quote that read: “My story is filled with broken pieces, bad decisions,and some ugly truths.”

Though the term has fallen out of favor with many due to its complicated and unscientific origins, it refers to a very real phenomenon called captor bonding.
It is a survival instinct in which people will begin to identify with and empathize with captors — such as people who kidnap or abuse them.
You see this in domestic violence situations — children and partners who defend an abuser’s worse moments — but also in kidnapping survivors at times.
So what Chris was saying here with his “joke” is that he was psychologically brainwashed into hitting it raw with Kail again to produce Creed.
That’s just no way to talk about your children, jokingly or not. The dude is gross, but that’s nothing new.
