Christine Quinn: I’m Still on Selling Sunset! I Will ALWAYS Be on Television!

Just weeks ago, Christine Quinn announced that she’d left the Oppenheim Group and put Selling Sunset on blast.

It seemed like, despite her can’t-miss role on the Netflix reality series, she was parting ways with everything to go do crypto real estate stuff.

Not so fast, apparently.

Christine says that she is “absolutely” continuing on television in general, and will appear on Season 6 of Selling Sunset.

Christine Quinn spoke to Us Weekly, confirming: “I love the show.”

She emphasized: “The show is, like, my No. 1 [and] everyone knows that.” Do we?

“But we just have to get creative now,” Christine claimed, “because I don’t work for the Oppenheim Group.”

“Maybe it’s a battle of the brokerages,” Christine claimed of what is to come.

She dropped the hint that viewers might see “a really interesting dynamic” crop up between her and all of her erstwhile coworkers.

Christine asserted: “I’m not going anywhere.”

“Like, I’ll always be on television,” Christine vowed.

“I’m not going anywhere,” she reiterated. “It’s just, like, let’s have fun with this now.”

Christine insisted that there are no truly hard feelings between her and Jason Oppenheim.

During the Season 5 Reunion, Jason hinted that the realty company didn’t really have space for her anymore.

In contrast, Christine says that “We’re in a really good place” these days.

As for the claim that Christine tried to poach a client for $5,000, she still denies any wrongdoing whatsoever.

“Bless their hearts for trying,” Christine said dismissively. “But no, that absolutely did not happen.”

She recalled: “I watched the show and I was shocked. I was completely shocked.”

Even so, she says that she and Jason have smoothed things over.

“He just says, you know, ‘I was going off the information that I was given,’” Christine recalled.

“And I said, ‘Well, I wish you would have called me,” she said. “I wish you would’ve told me, you know, that you were doing this.”

Christine continued: “And I would’ve talked anything through with you and answered any questions for you.’”

Christine of course plugged her cryptocurrency real estate project that she’s doing with her husband.

That was already a sort of laughable project among those on the internet who consider cryptocurrency an environmentally destructive equivalent of lululemon.

But after the recent collapse of the NFT market (finally!) and the accompanying crypto crash … it’s almost surprising that she’s not trying to walk back that endeavor.

That said, if someone wants to sell their home in exchange for the 2022 equivalent of 1998 Beanie Babies, that’s arguably their business.

(Up to a point — the environmental devastation and the way that some people have been scammed into gambling their life savings is kind of everyone’s business)

Christine is apparently there to “help” with such transactions using her new business. But, as she says, she will remain on the show.

Christine’s not-quite-departure from the show was the talk of the town, so to speak, until Chrishell Stause shared her love story with G Flip.

The two have taken center stage, seeming to alternate standing in the Selling Sunset spotlight, for quite some time.

And with Christine remaining on the show, that’s likely to continue to be the case for the foreseeable future.

Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn Finally BLASTS Bribery Accusation & Reveals Her Future With The Show!

Christine Quinn is finally sharing her side of the story!! The Selling Sunset star has been at the center of the Netflix reality show’s latest controversy (though when is she not…), but her decision to skip out on the reunion left many fans wondering what her deal was. Did she really bride a client not […]

Christine Quinn Left the Oppenheim Group to Do Real Estate Crypto Stuff

Imagine that it’s 1999. You’re selling your house. Someone approaches you with a duffel bag of Beanie Babies as their offer. You make the sale.

According to some, that is the general spirit of what Christine Quinn would rather do than continue with the Oppenheim Group.

The Selling Sunset star has left that realty brokerage firm out of a desire to incorporate cryptocurrency into the real estate business.

Does this mean the end of her reality TV career?

On the season finale of Selling Sunset, Christine Quinn’s status appeared to be in limbo.

She had been caught (allegedly) trying to poach clients from Emma Hernan, who had replaced her for just one week while she was on maternity leave.

She was summoned to account for her supposed actions … but ghosted her bosses.

Christine Quinn 22 April 2022 tweet - Selling Sunset fake storylines

Now, Christine has claimed that this storyline was manufactured (at least, she has strongly implied it).

But she made that allegation on Twitter — as she apparently couldn’t make it to the Reunion taping for the show’s very first Reunion special.

Supposedly, she was sick, but … too sick to make a video call? That’s either a serious illness, or an indication that something was afoot.

Well, spoilers abound, because an inside source has confirmed to Us Weekly that Christine is done with the Oppenheim Group.

“It was Christine’s decision to leave the Oppenheim Group,” the insider claims.

Sure enough, Christine’s bio was quietly removed from the brokerage’s site — and we just checked, so it hasn’t been restored to the site.

Apparently, this is about more than clashing with Jason and Brett about what she did or didn’t do to undercut a colleague.

Instead, Christine is allegedly frustrated with the Oppenheim Group’s very cautious, well-reasoned reluctance to delve into a new venture.

The firm isn’t using cryptocurrency, an alternative and extremely volatile speculative currency linked to numerous scams, when making deals.

“A lot of brokerages are very wary about accepting crypto because they don’t understand the inner workings of it,” Christine claimed.

“So,” she said, “that’s why it’s very difficult for agents to do these transactions.”

There is a common trend among those pushing for widespread cryptocurrency use of suggesting that critics (or any non-adopters) simply do not “understand.”

Christine said to Forbes: “A) the brokers don’t know anything about crypto; B) don’t know how to do it; and C) don’t understand how reliable and how safe it actually is.”

She continued: “The process that RealOpen [the company she cofounded with her husband] uses is absolutely reliable and fool-proof.”

What’s not foolproof, of course, is the often-changing value of cryptocurrency. Thus, the Beanie Babies analogy.

What’s interesting here is that Selling Sunset isn’t over — the show is already greenlit for another two seasons.

(Weird that Netflix just canceled a slew of beloved projects, in some cases after months of poaching talented creatives, but some shows are greenlit for multiple seasons in advance)

Christine has exited, Chrishell has broken up with Jason, AND Mary Fitzgerald received a promotion. There’s no telling what this show’s dynamics could end up being.

Christine Quinn Blasts Selling Sunset: Enjoy the Fake Storylines!

Over the weekend, the new season of Selling Sunset returned to widespread social media celebration.

Christine Quinn of course marked the return of the Netflix reality series. She is, after all, one of its stars.

But Christine did more than just remind followers that the show is back.

She also accused the series of setting up a multitude of “fake storylines.” Oh no!

“30 minutes till the launch of #SellingSunset,” Christine Quinn tweeted late last week.

“Enjoy the new season,” she instructed.

“And,” Christine’s tweet concluded, “all of its 5,000 fake storylines!”

Those harsh words were followed by two key emojis.

One was a money bag emoji, the kind that cartoon robbers sling over their shoulders.

The other was a nail-painting emoji, almost universally used when sharing gossip or harsh truths or otherwise providing information.

Naturally, her words got people talking, as did the emoji clues.

She didn’t specify which storylines she accused of being manufactured or otherwise fake.

The bag of money emoji, however, strongly hinted that it had to do with finances … and reports say that this theory pans out.

Page Six reports that there was at least one allegedly fake storyline.

You know that storyline where Emma Hernan accused Christine of offering a $5,000 “bribe” in an effort to poach one of her clients?

An insider claims that this was fakery.

That would certainly fit with Christine’s tweet and her emoji clues.

What better way to hint at a handoff using emojis than a money bag?

And what’s really smart about this tweet is that it’s being talked about so much that Selling Sunset production probably can’t complain too much.

Reality TV fakery is often blown out of proportion.

There are people who genuinely believe that reality TV is literally scripted — that writers write out the lines, that stars practice them like actors do.

What’s funniest about these conspiracy theorists is that most of them … still watch the shows that they believed are rehearsed and staged.

In real life, though, reality TV is adjusted in three major ways: casting, production meddling, and editing.

Casting means finding larger-than-life personalities who will act up on camera and who have poor conflict-resolution skills.

Production can’t predict that a cast member will get divorced by a beloved TV star (as happened to Chrishell Stausse), so some of it’s luck, but some of it is character study.

Up next comes production meddling, most of which simply means asking the right questions.

Sometimes, production will ask people to repeat something (even if just because of background noise), address a topic, or speak with more energy.

Mostly, their job is to coax the reality stars into saying what they’re thinking anyway — the best producers barely have to be intrusive to get TV gold.

Finally, there is the editing stage, where hundreds of hours of video are trimmed down into just enough hours to make a season.

A lot of what is cut is boring — moments filmed just in case something interesting happens, with camera crews following the stars all day.

But editing can shape narratives, from erasing sympathetic moments to making it seem like someone cries every day or only discusses one topic.

Any of these (but mostly just the first two) could be responsible for an allegedly “fake” bribery storyline.

With casting, it could mean that Emma made it up. With production, it could mean that producers planted the idea. It would take some pretty fancy editing to conjure up a storyline, though.

If Christine’s Twitter outburst merits enough interest, she might not get into trouble for tweeting it, but she was clearly feeling strongly about this.
