Counting On Season 11 Trailer: Jinger Is Pregnant! Jana Is Still Single!

Well, another season of Counting On is upon us.

And once again the Duggars are offering up all kinds of wholesome hijinx to mask the grim realities of life in TV’s most famous family of fundamentalists.

The new trailer for the upcoming season is receiving a very warm welcome from fans, as it was preceded by months of rumors that Counting On had been canceled.

Now, not only do we know that Counting On Season 11 is happening, it looks as though the Duggars refused to allow the coronavirus pandemic to delay production.

That’s either real commitment or real stupidity, depending on whom you ask.

Anyway, parts of this season were shot during the great Duggar Baby Boom of 2019, a time at which five Duggar women were pregnant at once.

And it looks like the season had a longer-than-usual shooting schedule, as we just learned this week that Jinger Duggar is pregnant with her second child, and that reveal made it into the trailer!

Also in this season we get to learn about the Duggar response to the pandemic.

At first there were rumors that Jim Bob thought the coronavirus was a hoax.

But he seems to be serious taking it seriously — or at least pretending to — as his daughters sew masks for a local charitable organization.

We’ll know more when the season actually debuts on June 30.

After all, JB’s not a very good actor.

We’re sure fans will find solace in knowing that even the proudly old-school Duggars are dealing with the same modern challenges as the rest of us.

Of course, as the trailer reminds us, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Yes, believe it or not, Jana is still being questioned about when she’ll find a man.

And the pressure is not only coming from her family — random hairstylists are interrogating the poor girl!

At one point, producers ask Jana if she’s sick of being grilled about getting married.

And the poor girl’s body language speaks volumes.

Hey, maybe she’s just dreading the day when she’ll be forced to give birth with a TLC camera in her face.

Yes, it wouldn’t be a season of Counting On without a painful birth scene, and it looks like this season has several.

Take a look if you’re not squeamish, but remember that we warned you:

Not only will you see women in labor, you’ll see Jim Bob stuffing his face with a fervor most men reserve for sexual intercourse.

Do not watch while eating!

Jinger Duggar Mom-Shamed by Fans: Is Felicity in Danger?

Earlier this week, Jinger Duggar was mom-shamed over whether she was or was not following coronavirus advisories correctly.

Now, fans think that she is endangering little Felicity much more directly, and are taking her to task for it.

“Our little social butterfly always loves a good chat with a friend,” Jinger captions the photo that you are about to see.

“In these days of social distancing,” she pleads, “let’s not forget to pick up the phone and call a loved one.”

In the photo, Felicity looks absolutely adorable as she holds an old-timey, corded phone (what is this, 1998?).

But the eyes of followers were drawn to something much more dangerous than the coiled cord of a phone.

If you’re as eagle-eyed as these folks, you probably spied the electrical outlet on the wall.

Felicity is almost two, and two-year-olds are naturally curious.

Does the electrical outlet present a potentially lethal hazard when uncovered?

Scores of followers and other commenters certainly think so.

“Cute! but cover the Wall Sockets please!” begged one follower, who followed up.

“I’m not parenting..just giving a suggestion, don’t want her hurt,” the commenter explained.

“I i guess i have to clarify to make sure she blocks her cords in her house,” the fan added.

“I knew someone who bit it, and was electrocuted, needing plastic surgery at a young age,” they concluded. “I don’t trust any toddler near one.”

“My baby is 6mths and i just bought plug covers,” another comment not-so-subtly hinted.

Another wrote that they “knew the wall plug comments were coming as soon as I saw the pic. Mind your business [people], mind yo business.”

“She’s in a hotel people,” a comment reasoned. “She’s not going to carry wall socket covers and baby proof everywhere she goes.”

That same fan asked others to “Give this girl a damn break.”

Just for frame of reference, I didn’t have outlet covers on walls when I was a baby.

My mother simply explained to me the danger by the time that I was old enough to walk, and I did not touch them.

My parents got outlet covers for both of my younger sisters, which was probably wise as they were more rambunctious.

But are these critics — and my parents — correct at seeing these as a necessity?

After seeing Jinger get absolutely hammered as if she had attached Felicity to a kite and sent her into the air during a thunderstorm, I did some research.

First, electrical injuries do happen, but are extremely rare in children ages 17 and under.

Second, fatal domestic electrical injuries are also very uncommon.

They can happen, of course, but … do socket protectors really work?

In fact, during a clinical study, it was found that most children between ages 2-4 can remove an outlet cover quickly.

Even the most stubborn outlet covers can be pried off in under 40 seconds, on average.

As a result, there is some concern that plastic protectors on wall sockets may actually make homes more dangerous.

The reasoning is that they may give parents a false sense of security and safety.

But, again, Jinger was in a hotel.

That’s why there was a phone with a physical cord.

Most people no longer have landline phones at all, let alone ones with cords.

Joy-Anna Duggar Shows Fans 19-Week Baby Bump!

After weeks of insightful speculation and hype, Joy-Anna Duggar announced that she is pregnant with baby #2.

Now, at 19 weeks, she is showing off her baby bump.

“Nineteen weeks!” Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth captions the photo that you are about to see.

“#babygirl #19weekspregnant #somuchlove,” she tags her captions.

In the pic, she is standing in profile with her baby bump silhouette on display.

Joy-Anna opted for a mirror selfie in a standing mirror that could, honestly, do with a good wipe-down.

That is NOT a subtle bump!

Joy-Anna famously suffered a tragic miscarriage back in July of 2019.

It must feel surreal and complicated for her to once again be building a tiny human body inside of her own.

She is nearly halfway through this pregnancy. Joy-Anna’s expected due date is in August.

Seeing the photo, Joy-Anna’s adoring followers were eager to pile on the praise.

“19 weeks and beyond beautiful!!!” one fan gushed in the replies.

Another follower praised: “You look great, Joy!”

“So happy for your little family,” raved another comment.

“You will soon be holding that beautiful rainbow baby in your arms,” wrote another fan.

The comment continued, pointing out that “August is just around the corner.”

“Stay home, stay well,” the follower wisely advised her.

The coronavirus epidemic is a terrible time to be pregnant, as many hospitals are already overwhelmed — and this is just the beginning.

A “rainbow baby” is an increasingly popular term for the first child born after a miscarriage.

Parents, grieving the child that might have been, see these new babies as symbols of hope for the future.

Not all parents who have experienced miscarriages embrace the term.

But the term is very commonly used among Duggar fans as they, like Joy-Anna, hope that having this child will have a healing effect upon the family.

Austin and Joy-Anna already have a child — two-year-old Gideon.

According to their beliefs, shared by the wider Duggar family, they really already have two children.

They named their miscarried child Annabell and mourn her as any parent would mourn a lost child, though they never got to meet her.

Now, they’re remaining hopeful and excited about this pregnancy.

Most miscarriages happen so early in pregnancies that the parents may not have even realized that there was a pregnancy at all.

But Joy-Anna’s miscarriage in the summer of 2019 happened at 20 weeks.

Nonetheless, Joy says that she is excited about this pregnancy, even after the trauma of last year.

Passing the 20 week milestone will be a huge deal for them. Fingers crossed!

We are sure that Joy-Anna will keep fans updated on her pregnancy and continue showing off her belly bump as this goes on.

As we mentioned, this is not a good time to be pregnant, as pandemics put a strain on all healthcare resources.

Home births are not always safe or viable options, no matter how much the parents may wish otherwise.

It is our sincere hope that Joy is able to remain safe and healthy throughout this turbulent time.

Jessa Duggar Depressed? Fans Blame Her Awful Childhood

Something is not right with Jessa Duggar.

Fans think that she is, among other things, depressed.

And they’re pretty sure that they know why.

As fans note, Jessa was forced to forgive Josh for molesting her by the fundamentalist cult in which she was raised.

She endured trauma without closure or real counseling, and was forced to hide what she endured to help her parents save face.

And that’s only one piece of the puzzle of Jessa’s traumatic childhood.

According to this fan theory, Jessa’s messy house isn’t just laziness or the realities of being a parent, it’s a symptom.

Take a look:

1. Jessa … are you okay?

For a while, now, fans have been concerned about Jessa’s mental health, and with good reason

2. Sure, she puts on a show

The jessa gaze
All Duggar women are taught to gaze longingly and adoringly at their lord husbands and to “make themselves available” to suit their man’s needs. But constant fake smiling is just an act, and one that many depressed people put on day in and day out to put family and coworkers at ease.

3. The real Jessa is struggling

Jessas mess
In video after video, Jessa shows her deeply messy home. While yes, she’s a mother of three, some fans on social media (including folks who themselves have depression) think that the effects of lingering trauma are making it hard for Jessa to put in real effort when it comes to tidying up.

4. This theory makes a lot of sense

“She’s a victim of sexual assault and what’s more, she has to interact with her coddled, favored abuser on a regular basis,” a Reddit user correctly notes.

5. There are also life circumstances at play

As the Reddit post notes: “She’s a married mother of three young children who is dependent on her parents for financial support.”

6. Jessa’s home looks like a cry for help

“Jessa seems indifferent to her dirty house, her ten month-old not having her own crib, the Christmas tree still out in March, etc,” the post reads. “And I’m sure we all remember her infamous IG post with the pile of used diapers, dust everywhere, the filthy HVAC filter and so on.”

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo: How Do They Afford Their Huge House and L.A. Lifestyle?

Even as Duggar fans praise her independence, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo have been slammed for their lavish lifestyle.

Nice clothes and getting your hair done are one thing, but how in the world can they afford their swanky L.A. house?

Jinger and Jeremy didn’t just move out to L.A. for the fun of it.

And whatever people may think, it wasn’t just to enrage Jim Bob by living in a city with actual people from different backgrounds in it.

See, they moved so that Jeremy could take graduate classes at the master’s seminary in L.A.

While there, they’ve been staying at a very nice house … at considerable expense.

When Jinger and Jeremy first made the move, they shared that they would be staying at a church-owned rental house for about 6 months.

The house was built in the 1950s, but remodeled very recently — in 2015.

It’s a 4-bedroom house, and we all know how pricey Los Angeles property is.

The rental rate for the house is a whopping $4,000 a month.

This is way out of their price range … especially considering that Jeremy and Jinger were out of work at the time.

The assumption was that Jeremy’s church had simply allowed them to move in for a while.

(Church-owned houses presumably do not have to pay property taxes, which is probably very bad for society but helpful to the Vuolos at the moment)

But offering up six months of possibly free housing doesn’t mean giving a family their forever home. What’s up?

Fans on social media have discussed different theories.

One Reddit user suggested that perhaps TLC arranged for the house and that the church was not actually involved.

Others theorized that they talked the church into letting them stay, selling them on “exposure” or some-such.

But some think that they may actually be making enough dough to afford shelling out $4000 a month on rent alone.

Jinger and Jeremy appear at events, and both event speakers and simple social media endorsements can bring people a lot of money.

And speaking of their online presence, both Jinger and Jeremy do cameos, favored among fans — particularly when getting each other presents.

Jinger’s personalized short videos go for $60 each. Jeremy’s cost only $40 a pop.

Together, they would each only have to do 40 cameos each to cover each month’s rent. That’s a lot of cameos, but only about a day’s work.

Maybe Jeremy’s church opted to let them stay while Jeremy completes his studies.

If so, the clock is ticking on their current residence. When Jeremy moves out, they’ll likely have to downsize.

Pastors living in Los Angeles can rake in an astonishing six-figure salary.

But most families would consider ditching half of their annual income on rent to be something to avoid if they can, even though most people cannot.

It would be interesting to see if these two continue to enjoy L.A. as much once they’re paying an agonizing rent like everyone else.

But maybe with supplemented income — and perhaps some family money, if that’s in the picture — Jeremy and Jinger can continue their opulent lifestyle.

The less than $200,000 that they took in selling their house in Loredo can’t last forever, and presumably, neither can Jeremy’s church’s indulgence.

Maybe Counting On fans will get to see Jinger take a job to help pay for the lifestyle that she and Jeremy enjoy. Only time will tell.

Derick Dillard: Jill and I Want a Spinoff to EXPOSE Jim Bob Duggar!

Derick Dillard is not exactly on great terms with his awful in-laws. For that matter, even Jill has to beg for permission to see her own siblings.

Now, Derick has taken a liking to the idea of a Dillard family spinoff of Counting On, where they could expose Jim Bob for exactly what he is.

“Hey @TLC you know what show would be a hit?” a fan’s tweet asks. “@jillmdillard and @derickmdillard: Breaking Free.”

“They have a story to tell,” the tweet reads, “and it’s time for some truth to be told!”

“It would be amazing to see their journey,” the fan eagerly expresses.

In addition to tagging both Jill and Derick, the tweet ends with the hashtags: “#tlc #CountingOn #leavingthecult #RealityTV.

jill and derick breaking free pitch tweet

In and of itself, that tweet is simply a pretty intriguing idea from a fan.

Like so many who have become aware of what the Duggar family is truly like, this Twitter denizen wants Jim Bob and Michelle exposed.

From child abuse to coverups to neglect to exerting overwhelming financial control, the Duggars who started it all have a lot for which to answer.

But here is where Derick Dillard weighed in:

tweet liked by derick dillard

On Twitter, Derick Dillard “liked” the tweet.

Likes are publicly visible, so not only can this be seen by searching his “likes,” but by looking at the tweet’s activity. Derick shows up.

And, thanks to a Twitter feature that literally nobody asked for or appreciates, any of his over 120,000 followers could then see the tweet promoted to their feeds.

People rarely if ever “like” a tweet because they want to bookmark it. They “like” tweets as an endorsement.

So why does Derick “like” this idea so much?

Probably because he would like to speak his mind, which he currently only does to a degree.

It is believed that Derick engages in some tongue-biting when it comes to Jim Bob Duggar, possibly for the sake of Jill or their financial prospects.

But even the fan belief that Jim Bob gives his adult children an “allowance” hasn’t stopped Derick from blowing one story wide open.

Somewhat recently, Derick announced to fans that he and Jill were never paid for appearing on Counting On.

Derick says that the family was led to believe that they were appearing on the show as a form of service or even “ministry.”

Jim Bob then received the salary from TLC and allegedly kept whatever he wanted for himself.

This claim has not been confirmed but it is very believable. The Duggars would not be the first reality family paid with a single paycheck.

But setting aside payment models that should be illegal, Derick has been dropping hints that he has much more to say.

He has even suggested that he may write a tell-all book about Jim Bob and all that he has experienced with the Duggar family.

Whether he was just trolling fans or taking the chance to make Jim Bob sweat at the idea, fans were interested.

Jim Bob needs to be taken down. But no matter what he does, is Derick in any position to do it?

The trouble is that Derick is note xactly a good person. The guy is an unabashed bigot.

His transphobic attacks against a minor teenage girl, Jazz Jennings, drew the ire of his own fans and of TLC.

He’s one of those dudes who thinks that Drag Queen Story Hours are somehow inherently inappropriate.

Derick and Jill have also been accused multiple times of trying to fleece their fans of cash.

That said, sometimes prosecutors grant sweetheart deals to genuinely bad people so that they will testify against someone much worse.

Maybe it would be for the greater good if some reality TV network financed Derick’s takedown of Jim Bob Duggar.

Derick would have to be able to back up what he has to say for his words to carry weight. Jill’s word would probably mean more than his to most.

We doubt that TLC will go for it as long as they’re airing Counting On. But maybe Derick should see if WeTV will bite.

He may not deserve a new reality gig, but there would be a market for it.
