Varya Malina Visits Geoffrey Paschel in Prison: He’s Like a Caged Animal!

Earlier this month, disgraced former 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days star Geoffrey Paschel’s retrial motion was delayed.

About six months ago, he was convicted for a brutal domestic assault and kidnapping, but continues to fight his 18-year sentence.

For reasons known only to her, Varya Malina has remained his steadfast and vocal supporter through all of this.

Varya is once again trying to elicit sympathy for Geoffrey, likening him to an “animal in a cage” as he begins to serve his sentence.

Just months into Geoffrey Paschel’s 18-year sentence, Varya Malina says that visiting him behind bars is a miserable experience.

She wrote on Instagram: “I was supposed to life his spirits up.”

“But,” Varya continued, “he was the one who cheered me up.”

Geoffrey Paschel listens to the judge accurately describe him

“The hardest thing I’ve ever seen in my life is my beloved one, who is like an animal in a cage,” Varya expressed.

“And I can’t do anything to help him right at the moment,” she complained.

“It feels miserable, the lowest low,” Varya wrote, “and I’m so emotionally exhausted.”

Varya expressed shock — in a negative way — when Geoffrey was sentenced to nearly two decades behind bars.

While many of those of us who were following the case were also surprised, it was a pleasant one — a rare case of a domestic abuser being held accountable.

In contrast, Varya appears to believe that Geoffrey is innocent, and has expressed unwavering confidence that the whole thing will be overturned on appeal.

Geoffrey Paschel at trial

Fortunately, so far, Varya has been as wrong about Geoffrey’s success in court as she is about his character.

Last week, she updated followers, revealing that his retrial motion hearing has been delayed.

Even when the hearing takes place in late May, not even Varya expects a retrial to be granted — but it’s just the first step on the appeals process.

Geoffrey Paschel forced to listen at his sentencing hearing

“But if you think he’s about to give up, you are so wrong,” Varya threatened on Instagram.

“Even in these horrible circumstances,” she described, “he was the same goofball I fell in love with.”

Many manipulators know exactly how to present themselves to continue to get undeserved sympathy and support from their marks.

“The first visitation was so emotionally exhausting, but it was worth every minute nonetheless,” Varya appraised.

“We both had that same feeling as at the airport in Russia, when we met for the first time,” she characterized.

Varya described: “I jumped and cried as he smiled and joked about hugging me like my father.”

Geoffrey Paschel found guilty of domestic assault

“I planned to go live [on Instagram] right after the visitation but couldn’t find any energy to share it with you,” Varya added apologetically.

“I felt that the best thing for my mental health,” she explained, “was to hide to some invisible place where no one can see or hear me and vice versa.”

Varya also shared that she would be returning to visit Geoffrey again.

Kristen Wilson testifies as Geoffrey Paschel trial

Just months before Geoffrey flew to Russia to meet Varya for the first time, he was engaged to a different woman — Kristen Wilson.

In June of 2019, he attacked her in her home, brutally beating her and then holding her captive, preventing her from leaving or calling 9-1-1.

Kristen managed to escape, seeking refuge at a neighbor’s, where she was able to contact authorities to treat her injuries and to arrest the monster who had done this to her.

Geoffrey went on to film with Varya (and Mary) before prosecutors built their case enough to issue the full charges against him.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the trial did not take place until October of 2021, when he was found guilty.

Between another ex’s haunting testimony and the attempt to contact Kristen to induce her to plead for leniency, Geoffrey received a well-deserved 18 year sentence.

Geoffrey Paschel Retrial Motion DELAYED

90 Day Fiance has introduced viewers to manipulators, liars, creeps, and worse over the years.

Even so, the franchise would be hard pressed to cast someone worse than Geoffrey Paschel, even if they tried.

Following his conviction for kidnapping and assault, Geoffrey was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Geoffrey began his appeals process with a motion for a retrial … and the hearing has just gotten a major delay.

Varya Malina — who for some twisted reason seems to still love him — has explained much of this to her followers.

Geoffrey’s motion for a retrial is not likely to succeed, and he knows it.

The motion is more of a formality before his attorneys launch numerous appeals over the next few years.

Varya Malina NYE still with Geoffrey Paschel photo

However, the court has issued a continuance on the motion for a retrial.

“I got some news from the lawyer,” Varya reported to her followers on Instagram this week.

“The motion for the new trial was delayed for a variety of reasons,” she shared, “which nobody had time to explain.”

“And I doubt that cared,” Varya added, indicating that she does not care why the motion was continued.

“It was delayed for a date,” she went on. “Nobody knows which date. It’s all such a stupid circus.”

However, Starcasm reports that the delay is until May 26 — less than a month and a half from now.

Technically, there is a chance that Geoffrey could be awarded a new trial at the hearting late next month.

If so, it would likely stem from an objection on his attorney’s behalf that the court, after contemplation, overruled.

The reason was that the victim’s testimony included descriptions of Geoffrey’s past abuse as well as on the night in question.

Geoffrey Pashcel mug

Geoffrey’s defense attorney argued that Tennessee law requires that he be notified before prior bad acts are brought up.

The court decided that the victim’s testimony in court was not sufficient to interfere with due process.

Fortunately, the motion for a retrial is considered a long-shot at best.

Geoffrey Paschel found guilty of domestic assault

Kristen Wilson, Geoffrey’s ex-fiancee whom he savagely beat and held against her will in June of 2019, only described what she had experienced.

While Geoffrey has a long list of exes accusing him of the same monstrous violence, Kristen did not refer to them while on the stand.

However, during Geoffrey’s sentencing hearing, one of his ex-wives testified in order to shed light upon his brutal history.

Geoffrey Paschel is sentenced to 18 years in prison

This was not Geoffrey’s first accusation of domestic violence or his first conviction, but it was his first conviction for domestic violence charges.

Only a small fraction of abusers are ever even charged with a crime, let alone sentenced to any substantial prison time.

Geoffrey’s sentencing is a rare, hope-inspiring exception, brought on by the scale of his violence, the courage of the woman who pressed charges against him, and the wisdom of the court.

It is often difficult to celebrate someone being in prison, because there are so many injustices regarding who is sent to prison and how they are treated.

Geoffrey’s unrepentant brutality, and his attempt to use his children to manipulate the victim into pushing for leniency, make him a bit of a special case.

We can all sleep a little easier knowing that he’s behind bars now, and for nearly two decades to come. Who knows how many women this will save.

Geoffrey Paschel: Previous Arrest for Assault in Florida EXPOSED

In early February, Geoffrey Paschel was sentenced to 18 years in prison following his conviction for assault and kidnapping.

Multiple exes of Geoffrey’s had accused him of similar violence in the past. He also has a lengthy history of arrests.

Before the arrest that finally led to this conviction, however, Geoffrey’s rap sheet included very little violence.

His 2006 arrest, however, stands out among them.

Geoffrey Paschel is sentenced to 18 years in prison

In June of 2019, Geoffrey Paschel attacked, beat, and unlawfully detained his then-fiancee, a fourth grade teacher named Kristen Wilson.

The evidence gathered by law enforcement, from gruesome photographs of her injuries to frightening blood smears in the home, was damning.

However, the courage of Geoffrey’s victim, who not only managed to escape but then testified against him in court, was what ensured his conviction.

Kristen Wilson testifies as Geoffrey Paschel trial

This week, Geoffrey was transferred to where he will hopefully spend the bulk of the next two decades.

He had been detained at the Knoxville County Jail following his conviction last October.

He has now been moved to the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex.

That, of course, is where this new mugshot — one of so many of this particular man — comes from.

Though Geoffrey has been convicted and sentenced, he isn’t done.

On April 14, Geoffrey will appear before a judge who will consider his motion for a new trial.

Geoffrey Paschel listens to the judge accurately describe him

Since even before his one season of Before The 90 Days got underway, Geoffrey’s criminal history has been well known.

He has worked as a crime reenactor for true crime television, and many have joked that he’s a natural since he has so much real-life experience.

Most of his actual arrests have been over non-violent offenses.

Geoffrey Paschel mugshot

In 2006, Geoffrey was arrested for battery in Florida, following an incident at a bar in Okaloosa County.

There, he allegedly got into a brawl with another man, elbowing him in the facing and bloodying his nose.

When the man tried to leave, Geoffrey reportedly followed him into the parking lot and punched him just above his right eye.

Geoffrey Pashcel mug

Starcasm got a look at the police report, also noting how this stands out among his arrests prior to 2019 due to the violence.

Geoffrey entered an agreement with the prosecution, paying $1,600 to the victim.

Once the restitution was paid via credit union money order and the rest of his obligations fulfilled, the case was dismissed.

Some may ask why Geoffrey was arrested following this violent altercation but not in the wake of accusations of greater brutality.

One of his exes gave birth in a hotel room where he was allegedly holding her captive to ensure that she could not escape him.

At his sentencing, another ex-wife described his abuse, including how he would sabotage her car, and how he even tracked her down to her parents’ house when she tried to leave.

Geoffrey Paschel to the camera

There are a few factors at play that prevent domestic abusers from being arrested.

The first of which being the psychological hold that many abusers exert upon their victims, deceiving them into blaming themselves (and fearing retaliation).

The second is that, while Kristen Wilson was able to escape in the immediate aftermath of that attack, not everyone’s injuries are fresh when they try to report a crime.

Kristen Wilson injuries photos from Geoffrey Paschel trial

Finally, of course, there is the grim reality that our legal system is sometimes more willing to prosecute violence between strangers than domestic abuse.

Geoffrey is not the architect of generations of flawed legislative and judicial priorities, but he certainly took advantage of them.

One imagines that most of his exes were grateful to get away from him with their lives, based upon their allegations against him. Relatively speaking, that stranger in Florida was lucky.

Varya Malina: Not-So-Secretly HAPPY About Geoffrey Paschel Prison Sentence?

Every now and then, justice prevails.

Geoffrey Paschel was sentenced to 18 years in prison following the kidnapping and brutal beating of his ex-fiancee, Kristen Wilson.

Varya Malina has unwisely stuck by him all of this time, yet seems surprisingly upbeat on social media.

What’s going on with her? Did romancing this scumbag give her everything she wanted?

When Varya Malina began talking to Geoffrey Paschel, a handsome American man, she had no idea who he really was.

She didn’t know that he’d been engaged as recently as June of 2019 — a short time before they filmed together.

Varya also didn’t know that he was a violent monster with a lengthy criminal history.

Going back for years, Geoffrey’s exes had accused him of unspeakable domestic violence and sexual assault.

One ex had described giving birth while Geoffrey held her prisoner in a hotel room.

Until his arrest in June of 2019, however, Geoffrey’s alleged abuse had never led to any real consequences for him.

Kristen Wilson testifies as Geoffrey Paschel trial

In June of that year, Geoffrey brutally attacked Kristen Wilson, his then-fiancee.

He attacked the fourth grade teacher, beating her and smashing her face into her home.

Geoffrey prevented her from leaving and also prevented her from calling for help. She had to wait to find her chance to escape.

Kristen Wilson injuries photos from Geoffrey Paschel trial

The brutal evidence spoke for itself at trial. So did Kristen.

After numerous delays due to the pandemic, Geoffrey finally stood before a jury.

After days of grueling and nightmare-inducing testimony from witnesses and from the victim herself, Geoffrey was convicted.

Geoffrey Paschel found guilty of domestic assault

Four months later, at the start of February, Geoffrey returned to the courtroom.

This time, he could not masquerade as an upstanding member of society.

The judge did not mince words when acknowledging the horror of Geoffrey’s crimes or how sinister his behavior had been post-conviction.

Geoffrey Paschel is sentenced to 18 years in prison

Geoffrey was sentenced to 18 years, a couple of years shy of the maximum but also more than the prosecution had asked for.

One factor cited by the court was Geoffrey’s attempt to manipulate his victim by trying to have his children go to her house to ask her to appeal to the judge.

The judge noted this, and stated that he was unsurprised that a manipulator like Geoffrey had outspoken supporters, but the court had not fallen for his twisted charms.

Varya Malina IG gone after Geoffrey Paschel conviction

In the immediate aftermath of Geoffrey’s well-deserved conviction, Varya fled Instagram.

It had been clear that she was supporting Geoffrey, even if she had been extremely vague about their relationship status.

She soon returned and, still bogged down in this misguided affection for a man who does not deserve it, pleaded for fans to help him.

Varya Malina IG plea to help Geoffrey Paschel (with Natalie Mordovtseva comment)

However, in the months since then, Varya has appeared much more upbeat.

She seemed confident ahead of his sentencing, and has also been sharing how she’s helping out with property management while he’s behind bars.

At a time when most would expect Varya to either be radio silent or openly devastated, she seems like neither on Instagram. Why?

Varya has been relentlessly smiling on social media, and fans (using the term loosely) are curious.

Is this a case of putting on a happy face when it’s the opposite of how you feel?

Or is Varya almost as happy as the rest of us that Geoffrey is behind bars?

First of all, it doesn’t look like she and Geoffrey are actually married.

Reports say that he is still legally married to his fourth wife (even though Varya is not his first fiancee since that marriage).

The best guess on the internet is that Varya got a diversity lottery visa and plans to cement her residency by joining the National Guard.

Varya Malina IG is joining the national guard

Right now, Varya is living in Geoffrey’s house and managing properties for him.

While that is presumably a temporary measure, it’s possible that she’s doing this to save money as she plans her next move.

Varya didn’t just (hopefully) luck out of being Geoffrey’s next victim — she’s reaping some benefits of reality stardom without being glued to Geoffrey. A win-win!

However, other fans think that Varya may just be putting on a brave face … or could even be in total denial.

She seems to genuinely believe that Geoffrey will get the new trial that he’s demanding or otherwise be released upon appeal.

While it’s always possible that a violent criminal could subvert justice, we of course hope that this does not happen here.

Varya Malina NYE still with Geoffrey Paschel photo

It’s tempting to tell ourselves stories that explain away worrisome behaviors in people we would prefer to like.

The truth is that Varya seems to genuinely love Geoffrey.

We can acknowledge that this misplaced affection is the result of a practiced manipulator’s tricks. We can also hope that she snaps out of it.

Varya Malina: Forced to Return to Russia Now that Geoffrey Paschel is in Prison?

Following his conviction, Geoffrey Paschel was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the brutal beating and kidnapping of his ex-fiancee.

90 Day Fiance fans celebrated the good news.

Varya Malina, despite years of being aggressively vague about her status with him, is openly supporting him.

What will happen to her now that he’s behind bars? Does she have to return to Russia?

Varya Malina never actually told anyone what sort of visa she received when she came to the United States.

On the show, she came on a tourist visa to “win back” Geoffrey — playing right into his manipulative hands.

She found herself in a love triangle with Mary in some twisted game that Geoffrey was playing with their emotions.

Varya never confirmed anything to fans, even avoiding confirming whether she was even still dating Geoffrey.

It soon became apparent that she was living in the United States, not just on an extended visit.

She sold her apartment back in Russia, she shared on social media.

The natural conclusion was that Varya had, like several women before her, married Geoffrey.

Fortunately, unlike his past wives and fiancees, she did not get the chance to see him at his worst.

He had already been arrested and charged with unspeakable violence against his last fiancee, Kristen Wilson.

Kristen Wilson injuries photos from Geoffrey Paschel trial

Varya used the proceeds from selling her home in Russia to support herself, allegedly.

Despite assumptions that she and Geoffrey were married, that might not be possible.

Even the K-1 visa might have always been out of reach for them.

Interestingly, it is reported that Geoffrey is still reportedly married to his fourth wife, Brittany Paschel.

She is, of course, estranged from him.

It is speculated that Varya may have been granted legal residency through the Diversity Immigration Visa Program, which runs on a lottery system.

Geoffrey Paschel found guilty of domestic assault

If that is the case, Varya’s residency in the United States is not contingent upon Geoffrey in the slightest.

Even if she were here on a marital visa, it’s unclear if that would directly impact her continued legal status.

However, the financial implications of long-term imprisonment could be a factor — and so could the very obvious interpersonal fallout.

Namely, Geoffrey is going to be behind bars where he belongs until 2040.

That barely even looks like a real year to us, but it’s going to feel extremely real for Geoffrey and for the misguided few who love him.

Sure, right now, Varya is his biggest cheerleader, likely thanks to years of intense manipulation. But can that last for 18 years?

Geoffrey Paschel is sentenced to 18 years in prison

Varya is also currently residing in Geoffrey’s house in Knoxville, Tennessee.

But he is still alive and continues to own the property.

He could conceivably sell or turn it into a rental. That’s not a secure long-term home for Varya.

It looks like she’s basically just crashing at his place to manage some things for him until she figures out a long-term plan.

It would be lovely to see Varya on The Single Life … under the right circumstances.

She would have to be done with Geoffrey, both as a partner and as a human being.

Geoffrey Pashcel mug

Most fans would want her to first totally disavow him.

The alternative could mean her using a return to reality television to voice support or, worse, raise money for Geoffrey.

That wouldn’t just be in poor taste — it would be immoral. TLC might not care, but many fans do.

Geoffrey Paschel, gf

So, we shouldn’t expect Varya to pack up her life and return to Russia any time soon.

If it happens, it’s probably going to be her choice — not a side effect of a deeply evil man facing justice.

Varya is more likely to simply move from Tennessee and find a new place to live within the United States, since this is her home now.

Some time in the future, maybe in two months or in two years, she’s probably going to start dating again.

We obviously hope that her next partner is better than Geoffrey.

That is setting the bar a little too low. Let’s instead say that we hope that her next partner is a decent human being.

Geoffrey Paschel Fights Conviction with Motion for Retrial

In October of 2021, Geoffrey Paschel was convicted following the brutal kidnapping and beating of his former fiancee.

Four months later, Geoffrey was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

While most 90 Day Fiance fans are celebrating this monster’s incarceration, he is already making plans to subvert justice.

His attorneys have filed a motion seeking a retrial, and it’s likely just the beginning. Ugh.

It is sadly no surprise to hear that a convicted abuser has no sense of well-earned shame.

Geoffrey has never offered his victims a confession, refusing to allocute to his crimes in court even at sentencing.

He even went so far as to try to arrange for his children to harass the victim into asking the court to reduce his sentence.

Geoffrey Paschel is sentenced to 18 years in prison

With all of that in mind, it naturally follows that Geoffrey is hoping to force the justice system to stand on its head to see him go free.

The convicted scumbag has filed a motion seeking a retrial.

Geoffrey was convicted by a jury of his peers. He is hoping that the court will grant him a brand new trial full of brand new peers.

Geoffrey Paschel found guilty of domestic assault

Geoffrey has a hearing scheduled for April 14, 2022.

On that date, the judge will evaluate his attorney’s argument for a new trial and rule on the motion.

It is not immediately clear what arguments Geoffrey’s team will present.

Geoffrey Paschel listens to the judge accurately describe him

The thing about appeals following a conviction is that it’s very much a game of you-miss-every-shot-you-don’t-take.

Until Geoffrey runs out of money to pay his attorneys, they’ll continue to appeal on anything and everything that springs to mind.

Throw enough things at the wall, and sometimes, something will stick — or, in this case, gum up the works and allow a monster to escape justice.

Geoffrey Paschel at trial

Geoffrey’s attorney had already vowed to keep fighting on his client’s behalf.

“Geoffrey Paschel continues to maintain his innocence and intends to file a motion for a new trial in the very near future,” his attorney ominously shared.

“Afterward, our firm intends to pursue an appeal on Geoffrey Paschel’s behalf,” the statement added.

Geoffrey Paschel forced to listen at his sentencing hearing

Like we said, this is all pretty standard.

If Geoffrey had taken a plea deal (at this point, we’re glad that he didn’t) or admitted his guilt at sentencing, things might be different.

But he’s not a good person, which means that he will neither accept that he deserves to be in prison or give his victim peace of mind.

Kristen Wilson testifies as Geoffrey Paschel trial

In June of 2019, Geoffrey was engaged to Kristen Wilson, a fourth grade teacher.

In her own home, he savagely beat her face and body, leaving her blood smeared on various parts of the house where he slammed her head.

Geoffrey damaged her phone to prevent her from calling for help and refused to let her leave.

Kristen Wilson injuries photos from Geoffrey Paschel trial

Kristen mustered the courage to escape, fleeing to a neighbor’s house for sanctuary and to call for help.

Police arrived and Kristen received medical care, with her horrific injuries documented — photos that were later shown in court.

It takes tremendous bravery to testify against someone like Geoffrey, but Kristen pressing charges and seeing this through led to a conviction.

Geoffrey Paschel sits at his sentencing hearing

Kristen was not the first woman with a horror story about Geoffrey.

From what 90 Day Fiance fans can tell, every woman he’s been with but hasn’t appeared on reality TV with him has described the same monster.

One of Geoffrey’s ex-wives testified at Geoffrey’s sentencing, describing inescapable abuse from a man who would track her wherever she went.

Geoffrey Paschel Sentenced to 18 Years in Prison for Kidnapping, Brutal Assault

In October of 2021, 90 Day Fiance fans celebrated the well-deserved conviction of Geoffrey Paschel.

The notorious scumbag had attacked, brutally beaten, and then held his then-fiancee against her will in June of 2019.

After that, he went on and filmed the show like nothing was wrong, and continued to claim his innocence even after he was convicted.

On Thursday, February 3, the court sentenced Geoffrey to 18 years with no chance of parole — even more time than prosecutors requested.

It’s not every day that a sitting judge refers to the darkness and “evil” within the convicted man before them.

That said, it’s not every day that Geoffrey Paschel is in court. He just has that effect upon people.

It’s odd but refreshing to hear the court describe Geoffrey’s behavior in the same manner that we here at THG have for more than two years.

At the sentencing hearing, Kristen Wilson — the woman whose courageous testimony got him convicted — testified again.

This time, she was also permitted to elaborate upon other instances of domestic abuse that did not come up at trial.

Geoffrey has a list of accusers that’s about as long as his list of exes, and that’s no coincidence.

Another woman to speak at the hearing was one of his ex-wives, Allison Moon.

She testified under oath about multiple horrific moments of physical and sexual abuse.

Moon also recalled how he had sabotaged her car or stolen things from inside of it to prevent her from leaving, and once tracked her down to her parents’ home.

Prosecutors also played a recorded conversation in which Geoffrey tried to induce his mother to bring his children to Kristen Wilson’s house.

The manipulative scumbag’s goal was to pressure her, using his children, to ask for leniency on his behalf.

Judge Kyle Hixson referred directly to how Geoffrey’s attempt to exert influence upon the court was disgusting.

Geoffrey’s aggravated kidnapping conviction comes with a sentencing range of 12 to 20 years when his lengthy criminal history is taken into account.

His defense argued that he should receive the bare minimum — a 12-year sentence.

Meanwhile, prosecutors asked the court for a 16-year sentence, directly at the midpoint of the sentencing guidelines.

Geoffrey was permitted to speak to the court.

He could have used this opportunity to confess to his lengthy history of vicious domestic violence, against Kristen and others.

Violent narcissists however have a tendency to believe that they can always talk their way out of things so long as they stick to their self-serving stories.

There were dozens of letters written to the judge, insisting that Geoffrey was a helpful guy, urging the court to not impose a lengthy sentence.

Geoffrey insisted that he was innocent, accusing his victims of lying in court while claiming to wish them well.

He also claimed that he had somehow already rehabilitated himself (if he’s innocent, what does that even mean?) and did not need to go to prison at all.

Honestly? We’re glad that Geoffrey said all of that.

If he had taken a smarter approach — confessing and throwing himself on the mercy of the court — perhaps he would have received a shorter sentence.

Instead, Judge Kyle Hixson handed down a sentence even longer than the one that prosecutors had requested.

“This behavior towards these women is sick,” the judge said accurately of Geoffrey’s history of abusing his partners.

“It is sadistic,” Judge Hixson noted. “It goes beyond the desire to inflict physical harm on these women. It speaks of a deep psychological issue.”

The court observed: “I think, that Mr. Paschel has a desire to inflict as much emotional damage to these women as possible.”

Judge Hixson went on to characterize exactly what he has seen of Geoffrey.

It did not surprise him that there were letters urging him to choose leniency, because a man like Geoffrey is deeply manipulative.

The court, the judge said, is familiar with exactly this kind of behavior, and how Geoffrey uses his looks, employment, and lies to make people believe him.

This did not work on the jury and it did not work on the judge.

In fact, when it came to Geoffrey’s attempt to enlist his mother and children to manipulate his latest victim, the judge expressed only disgust.

This is a sign of a man willing to do or say anything to avoid a longer sentence. It backfired.

Judge Kyle Hixson sentenced Geoffrey to 18 years in prison with no chance of parole.

He will also serve shorter, concurrent sentences.

Varya was in court to support Geoffrey, declaring that the rain was the result of a “little angel” being “very upset” about the sentence. Whatever.

Varya Malina Keeps Trying to Make Fans Sympathize with Geoffrey Paschel

While convicted abuser Geoffrey Paschel awaits sentencing, Varya Malina has gone mask-off in support of him.

Though Geoffrey is behind bars where he belongs, Varya continues to attempt to spin his image favorably.

She has even dragged down other 90 Day Fiance cast members with her.

Varya’s latest stab at rehabilitating Geoffrey in the public eye involves an emotional message the he sent from jail.

In June of 2019, Geoffrey Paschel was arrested following the brutal domestic assault against his then-fiancee, a fourth grade teacher.

Her face and body were covered in gruesome injuries, her blood smeared throughout the house.

In October of 2021, after ample evidence including her courageous testimony was presented at trial, Geoffrey was convicted.

Geoffrey Paschel found guilty of domestic assault

Ever have a friend who seems great, but her boyfriend or husband sucks so much that you reconsider how you view her?

That, for countless 90 Day Fiance fans, is Varya Malina.

Pity for what Geoffrey put her through on screen has turned to disgust in recent months over her unwavering support for the convicted abuser.

Kristen Wilson injuries photos from Geoffrey Paschel trial

Initially, when Geoffrey was convicted, Varya fled Instagram, either out of shame or to avoid backlash.

Unfortunately, she made the unwise and frankly immoral decision to return to the platform and shower him with open support.

As we noted, Varya dragged others down with her, including Natalie Mordovtseva.

Geoffrey’s sentencing hearing was initially scheduled for December 3, just about two months after his conviction.

However, like his trial before it, the sentencing was postponed.

Currently expected for February, Geoffrey’s sentencing hearing awaits — and he faces a minimum of 12 years behind bars.

Varya has seemingly taken up as Geoffrey’s courier of messages as well as his champion.

Recently, she shared a glimpse at the gravesite of Geoffrey’s late son, Kazhem, who passed away in 2018.

Varya shared that she had decorated the tombstone with a Christmas tree.

Varya shared a look at where a critic who perceived the behavior as ghoulish had called her “disgusting.”

However, Varya shared an emotional message from Geoffrey that was clearly sent from behind bars.

Geoffrey was expressing gratitude for what she had done and affirming his love for Varya.

Varya has also shared glimpses of Geoffrey on her social media.

Some are throwbacks while others are rare looks at him during his incarceration.

Even if Geoffrey cannot post himself, it seems that the 90 Day Fiance world cannot escape reminders of him.

Geoffrey Paschel speaks at home

Hopefully, that will change some time after his sentencing.

While Geoffrey faces a minimum of 12 years behind bars, he could potentially face much more time.

Geoffrey has been accused by multiple exes (including two ex-wives) of this kind of brutality, but that is unlikely to factor into the sentence.

Geoffrey Paschel at trial

As for Varya, it’s not that people think that Varya is just as bad for supporting Geoffrey as Geoffrey is for being up a woman he once claimed to love.

Guilt by association is not the same as real guilt, and abusers like Geoffrey are often talented manipulators and liars.

However, it is crushingly disappointing to see Varya — or anyone — stand by this monster, particularly after he was convicted by a jury of his peers.

Varya Malina Kisses Photo of Convicted Scumbag Geoffrey Paschel Ahead of Sentencing

In early October of 2021, disgraced former 90 Day Fiance star Geoffrey Paschel was convicted for a brutal 2019 assault.

He is currently behind bars and awaits sentencing.

To the collective horror of many, Varya Malina has not condemned him for his violent crimes. Quite the opposite.

In fact, her greatest wish for the New Year appears to be that she can be reunited with her monstrous love.

Varya Malina took to Instagram to share an 11-second video of herself celebrating the New Year.

As part of a crowd — it is unclear on the context — she holds up a photo of Geoffrey and kisses it.

In light of what Geoffrey did to his former fiancee just a short time before filming with Varya, that is twisted.

Varya also included a lengthy and, out of context, genuinely thoughtful and informative caption.

“New Year’s Eve Kiss,” her post began.

“You must be aware of the thing,” Varya wrote, “that what you do on New Year’s Day is thought to have an impact on the rest of the year.”

“In ancient times, Romans and Germans would remove their masks at midnight,” Varya noted.

“And,” she continued, “kisses were supposed to cleanse each other of evil.”

“When numerous Germans immigrated to the US during the 1800s,” Varya wrote, “they brought the kiss along with them.”

“The meaning of it slightly has changed in time,” Varya acknowledged.

“Now,” she reflected, “it most likely is meant to wish good luck going into the next year.”

It is true that many traditions evolve over time, especially when adapted by new cultures.

“Fast forward to 2021, and the kiss has become one of the biggest must-haves in American culture,” Varya opined.

Sh wrote that this has had the effect of the kiss “turning into one of the most romantic moments a person can have.”

Varya advised: “Look no further than movies like New Year’s Eve and When Harry Met Sally for evidence.”

“I had my New Year’s Eve kiss,” Varya wrote, “and made my wish.”

“Who did you kiss last night?” she asked.

For millions of Americans, it was no one, because the pandemic has made dating and mingling so difficult and dangerous.

The line about Varya making her wish may be as alarming as her choice of a kissing partner.

The implication, many commenters have observed, is that she hopes that Geoffrey will be free as soon as possible.

Considering the brutal violence of which he is capable, that would be a horror.

In June of 2019, Geoffrey was engaged to a Fourth Grade teacher named Kristen Wilson.

He carried out a vicious and bloody attack on her, inflicting gruesome injuries and smearing blood throughout her home.

Geoffrey also prevented her from dialing 911. It was only when she had the chance to escape that Kristen was able to seek help.

The same courage that Kristen showed when she fled to a neighbor’s house was also on display in court.

There, she testified against the monster who did this to her.

That same week, Geoffrey was found guilty by a jury of his peers.

Geoffrey’s sentencing was initially scheduled for early December.

That hearing was then pushed back a few months, and is expected to take place in February.

Our hearts go out to all survivors — and other victims — of domestic violence.

It is unclear why Varya can stomach the sight of Geoffrey, let alone actually love him, after hearing who he is.

Many serial abusers (Geoffrey had a long list of accusers before his 2019 arrest) are skilled manipulators, convincing their next partner that they are plagued by vindictive liars.

We hope that Varya is one day able to see Geoffrey for who and what he is, just as a jury of his peers did.

Varya Malina Stuns 90 Day Fiance Fans Ahead of Geoffrey Paschel Sentencing: I’m Joining the National Guard!

On her initial appearance on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days, Varya Malina had a lot of sympathy from fans.

She was put through the wringer on screen and got a nasty shock when her boyfriend immediately shacked up with another woman.

Unfortunately, Varya has supported Geoffrey Paschel through and even after his recent conviction.

What will she do now that he’s behind bars where he belongs? Join the National Guard, apparently.

Varya Malina has news

“I have an important update,” Varya Malina announced on Instagram this week.

“I’m going to join the US National Guard,” she revealed.

For some reason, this was how she decided to break the news:

“You probably didn’t expect this,” Varya admitted in her caption.

“But,” she confessed, “neither did I.”

“Life is very unpredictable…” Varya remarked as if that were some sort of explanation.

“Who has been there?” Varya asked her followers.

She invited anyone with boot camp experience to “please welcome to my comments.”

“I want to hear some tips on how to survive in a boot camp,” Varya concluded.

Naturally, one commenter asked what the entire world was thinking: “Why?”

“Good question,” Varya began.

“The answer will be long,” she teased, providing no further explanation.

Varya Malina IG supported by Natalie Mordovtseva

Natalie Mordovtseva is known to be friends with Varya — a friendship that has led her down a dark path, unfortunately.

She of course showed Varya her support.

In turn, Varya showed her appreciation.

Interestingly, there are a number of requirements for joining the National Guard.

One of them is that one either be a United States citizens or legally recognized as a permenent resident.

In other words, this is confirmation that Varya got her Green Card … even though she has never directly confirmed this.

How did she attain her permanent legal residency?

Simple: she almost certainly married Geoffrey Paschel, something that we would not wish upon our worst enemies.

Geoffrey is of course behind bars right now, awaiting his sentencing next month.

Geoffrey Paschel found guilty of domestic assault

Geoffrey was convicted of brutal domestic assault and kidnapping after he beat an ex-fiancee and held her captive in her own home.

Though he was found guilty just a little over a month ago, the brutal attack took place in June of 2019.

Yes, you did that math correctly — it was likely just weeks before he flew out to meet Varya while filming for 90 Day Fiance.

Geoffrey’s ex-fiancee Kristin Wilson courageously testified against him in court, where her injuries were shown to the jury.

She was not the first woman to accuse him of unthinkable domestic violence.

But unlike various other exes including two ex-wives, she was able to press charges and see him convicted for his evil deeds.

Through her friendship with Varya, Natalie chose to voice support for Geoffrey, expressing sadness at his conviction.

This was a shock to many fans — particularly to some of Natalie’s fans, who felt that Mike Youngquist mistreated her during their engagement and marriage.

(To clarify, we here at THG would never compare Mike to Geoffrey, and found fault with both Mike and Natalie in their toxic relationship, but not all fans agree)

That support for Geoffrey cost Natalie a chunk of her remaining fans, and just weeks before the Season 2 premiere of The Single Life.

Geoffrey will be sentenced on December 3, and fans of the franchise (and, you know, of justice) hope that he will spend many years in prison.

It’s no surprise that Varya is looking for something to do, something that might cement her legal residency status, but … no one really expected the National Guard.

Varya Malina Announces Big Move as Geoffrey Paschel Awaits Sentencing

Last month, Geoffrey Paschel was found guilty of domestic assault and kidnapping after brutally attacking a former fiancee.

The disgraced 90 Day Fiance alum is now behind bars where he belongs and awaiting sentencing.

Varya Malina played coy for years over their relationship status, but it is clear that they remained linked.

Now, a tearful Varya is packing up and moving.

On Tuesday, November 2, Varya Malina took to her Instagram Stories with a sad — to her — update.

She shared an image, presumably of herself, on the road.

Varya added a tearful emoji to convey her mood.

“Sorry, today there are no stories,” Varya wrote over the post.

“Can’t believe that everything [that] I need for life fits in this car,” the text added.

It can feel strange to boil down your life to bare, easily transportable essentials.

Varya is not sharing just yet where she is heading.

Some have wondered if Varya, who has been living in Florida, is headed to Tennessee.

However, with Geoffrey poised to face real consequences for his monstrous crimes, it’s not clear what there would be for her there.

Just days ago, Varya offered a life update.

She revealed that she had met with a realtor with the intention of selling her house.

That house has been located in Florida — one of many factors that added ambiguity to her relationship status for the past two years.

In June of 2019, a short time before he flew to meet Varya for 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days, Geoffrey Paschel was arrested.

His then-fiancee, Kristen Wilson, was working at the time as an elementary school teacher.

At her home, he had severely beaten her, dragging her around her house and slamming her head into various surfaces.

Kristen courageously testified at Geoffrey’s trial, where the gruesome photos of her injuries were shown.

Geoffrey’s attorney attempted to claim that she had been drunk and told lies about his behavior that night.

Fortunately, a jury of twelve of Geoffrey’s peers were not buying what he was selling.

Geoffrey’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for December 3, 2021.

There are many flaws in our prison system at every step, but sometimes, it gets things right.

It is hoped that Geoffrey will be behind bars for many years.

Geoffrey Paschel found guilty of domestic assault

Geoffrey’s history of domestic abuse accusations, alongside numerous arrests, was uncovered after his casting was announced.

Even before he appeared on TLC, fans of the show were all too aware of who and what he is.

His work as a crime reenactor on Investigation Discovery shows was apparently informed by plenty of real-world experience.

But while very few care about drug arrests, the domestic violence accusations from multiple exes — including two ex-wives — stood out.

He was accused of similar violence towards his own children and of sexual violence towards his exes.

One of his children was born while he allegedly held the child’s mother captive in a rented room. All harrowing to hear.

And yet Varya responded to Geoffrey’s conviction for his latest crimes by expressing heartbreak.

She also temporarily deleted her social media, fleeing Instagram to avoid seeing people’s responses.

Shockingly, Natalie Mordovtseva also expressed support for Geoffrey multiple times, and none of us can understand that.

Natalie Mordovtseva message

Natalie had apparently befriended the couple, which many found inexplicable given who Geoffrey is.

Many times, Natalie won over fans by asserting how she deserved to be treated by Mike, her ex-husband.

No matter how she feels about Varya, feeling sorry for Geoffrey or grieving his conviction is … disturbing.
