Paedon Brown Explains Trolling Robyn: She’s Never Liked Me, But It’s All My Dad’s Fault!

What exactly does the nanny do?

This cutting question from Christine Brown was the fuel that Paedon used to troll Robyn recently.

Was this the opening salvo in an escalating war between Team Christine and Robyn?

It turns out that Paedon has a more personal and complicated history with Kody’s favorite wife.

Paedon Brown opened up to The Sun about where things stand, not only with Robyn Brown but also with her children.

“My relationship with Robyn has always been strange and weird,” he admitted.

Paedon added: “There are honestly so many reasons for that.”

Just as a reminder, “What. Does. The Nanny. Do?” is what 23-year-old Paedon Brown’s shirt read.

Paedon has been deservedly controversial in the past, but this move was widely lauded by Sister Wives fans.

Naturally, people wanted an explanation, and frankly, we’re getting more inside information than anyone expected.

“I was rude to her kids,” Paedon admitted.

It turned out that he had an unfair, but not unreasonable, reason for acting that way.

“I saw my dad doing things with them that he didn’t do with me,” he explained.

“And so, I ended up being rude to them,” Paedon confessed.

“So,” he reasoned, “she didn’t like me being rude to her kids.”

What mother would? Being in a plural marriage doesn’t change that.

However, it sounds like some parts of that dynamic have drastically improved.

“My relationships with Dayton and Aurora are now great,” Paedon shared of the 22-year-old and 19-year-old.

“My relationship with Breanna is not good at all,” he admitted, “but that’s because she is several years younger than me.”

Breanna is 16.

The three children of Robyn whom he named are her eldest children from her previous marriage.

All three were of course adopted by Kody in 2015, which was why he had to (legally, not spiritually) divorce Meri.

Paedon also commented on his bond, or lack thereof, with Janelle’s 17-year-old, who is her youngest.

“My relationship with Savannah isn’t anything to talk about,” he characterized.

“I do love Savannah, we talk when we are in the same room,” Paedon described, “but we never had a great relationship.”

So … what was Paedon’s goal when he threw that shade at Robyn by wearing the shirt?

He says that it was simply a joke, not a salvo in a war with his dad’s wife.

“The crew loves the quote, and then my mom said it, and I knew it aired on the show,” Paedon explained.

The public backlash against Robyn has been “so huge,” Paedon acknowledged.

As a result, he thought that it would be “really funny” to buy one of those shirts and wear it.

Honestly? We don’t tend to agree with Paedon on much, but he’s not wrong. It was funny.

“I’ve only worn it once, and that was simply to post a video on it,” Paedon said.

“It was just funny. I’m not trying to dig anyone,” he clarified.

Paedon added: “It’s not me trying to say like, ‘Oh, this is a really funny shirt because mom blew up.'”

“I will always support my mom,” Paedon affirmed.

He added cryptically: “But me wearing this tee-shirt wasn’t me saying I’m totally for her.”

In other words, we guess that he’s not wading into the conflict, he’s just having a laugh.

Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Confesses He’s Questioning Polygamy ‘All The Time’ Now!

Is Kody Brown done with polygamy??? In a sneak peek for the one-on-one reunion special of Sister Wives published by People, the 52-year-old opened up about his failed marriage with ex Christine Brown, who left him after realizing she no longer wanted to be in a plural marriage. As you may recall, the couple announced […]

Janelle Brown: I Don’t Think I Can Ever Be Friends with Robyn, Sorry!

At the beginning, the Brown family went into Sister Wives with the intention of showing that plural marriage was marriage like any other.

They weren’t wrong: a plural marriage can be every bit as messy and painful as a monogamous one.

Even Kody admits that his wives have never been true equals. He knows it, they know it.

It’s not just that Janelle and Robyn don’t like each other. They’ve never been friends.

At first, as the Sister Wives stars bared their souls on the finale, the focus was all on Christine and Meri.

Meri had stuck with Kody the longest and endured a decade of celibacy. Christine had felt like a Basement Wife.

But as the finale special continued, it became clear that things weren’t good with Janelle, either.

On Part 2 of the finale special, Kody admitted that Janelle and Christine don’t care for Robyn.

While Christine has bigger fish to fry when it comes to consciously uncoupling from Kody, Janelle is still Kody’s wife.

As such, she and Robyn cannot ignore their owngoing tension.

That doesn’t mean that they want to mend it.

Specifically, Janelle admitted on camera that she is unsure of whether she even wants to mend things with Robyn.

That is clearly one of several sticking points for Kody, who considers trying to get along part of his expectations for his wives.

Kody seemed downright angry that Robyn doesn’t have closer ties with the others.

He clearly doesn’t blame Robyn, either.

“Frankly, other than Meri, I’m not sure the others would ever want to be [Robyn’s] friend,” Kody admitted.

Kody described what he saw as a “pecking order” among his wives.

Essentially, each new wife got the cold shoulder from the previous ones, but then joined in doing it to the next one.

Robyn is at the end of the list — so, like someone at the bottom of a pyramid scheme, her situation just plain sucks.

Robyn has characterized her position as the “Brown Family Scapegoat” more than once in the past.

She has shared that she’s tried to mend things with Janelle.

Janelle, however, has turned her down.

“I had a conversation with Janelle recently where I said, ‘Hey, let’s figure this out. I want the good sister wife relationship. I know they exist,’” Robyn described.

She recalled: “And she kind of said, ‘Well, you know, I’ll have to think about that.’”

That might sound harsh, but it wasn’t so different from Janelle’s description of that same exchange.

“There is some history there, in the past, that…I mean, my desire [to get along with Robyn] is there.” Janelle stated.

“But,” she admitted, “I’m kind of like, ‘Ugh, do I want to do this again?’”

Janelle explained her lukewarm response: “I felt like I was kind of being put on the spot. And I’m like, ‘I don’t know. I don’t know.'”

In slight contrast, Christine said that she never deliberately moved to exclude Robyn or Robyn’s kids from anything.

Yes, she acknowledged, there was resentment and some emotional scarring from the way that Robyn joined the family.

Arguably, it’s not really Christine’s problem anymore. But Janelle and Robyn may have to find a way to deal with this.

Kody Brown Admits Sister Wives Have Never Been Equals

On Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives, it was clear that there were even more problems than people knew.

Kody wasn’t just having issues with Christine. He was having issues with Janelle. Things weren’t okay with his kids, either.

There had always been a “pecking order” to Kody’s wives, one that he fully acknowledges.

Robyn was simultaneously a target and a queen in the family. Christine’s experience was very different.

Sister Wives viewers saw Christine Brown express her heartbreak.

Not once had she felt like “queen wife” or “queen mom” within her plural marriage.

Instead, as the flashback reminded us, Christine had felt like she was the “basement wife.”

Christine explained that this is terminology within the polygamist community, but she hadn’t always known it.

“I put everybody first most of the time,” she admitted. “It left me running on empty and I asked him for help.”

It was only later that Christine learned those terms and realized that she had lived as a Basement Wife for many years, with her needs put last.

Stunningly, Kody seemed to understand where Christine was coming from.

“I’m carrying this load — and I’ve done it all these years — when you come in my family,” he reasoned.

Kody continued: “This is a requirement I have, is that we’re going to be one family.”

“That was like living in a fresh hell with Meri and Janelle,” Kody bluntly complained.

“Christine lightened that burden,” he admitted. “But then Christine [hit a wall].”

Kody commented: “What Christine has shrugged [in her responsibilities], Robyn was picking up.”

Kody also delved into the perceived pecking order of his wives.

“Meri was really hard on Janelle, and then Janelle and Meri were hard on Christine,” he recalled.

“And then,” Kody described, “Jenelle, Meri, and Christine were hard on Robyn.”

“And Robyn’s going, ‘Well, I didn’t do this to you. I didn’t do this, why are you this way?'” Kody noted.

“And frankly, other than Meri, I’m not sure that the others would ever want to be her friend,” he admitted.

Ouch.

Another big issue for Kody was how Janelle and Christine bucked against his extremely strict COVID precautions.

“In COVID, everybody has to make sacrifices,” he noted — and not incorrectly.

“I feel like they’ve been the biggest jack wagons about what’s been going on,” Kody then characterized about his two “middle” wives.

Many of Kody’s rules were reasonable and common-sense, like wearing a mask and avoiding sitting down at restaurants.

Others, like wiping down mail (just leave it in a basket for a few days!), were excessive and even self-defeating.

Janelle’s main concern was the way that it brought him into conflict with sons Garrison and Gabriel.

Kody admitted that things were strained and even added that he and some of his kids need family therapy.

“I want my kids around me. I love them,” he insisted.

“They want my company,” Kody noted, “but I struggle with the lack of respect they have for my leadership.”

Just for the record, “lack of respect they have for my leadership” is an unhinged way to speak as a parent.

Janelle felt that he forced her to choose between him and their kids more than once — and, as a mom, she obviously chose her children each time.

But clearly, so many of these issues already existed long before the pandemic.
