The Bachelorette Preview: Welcome, Tayshia Adams!

The path we are on right now, it doesn’t end well. For anybody.

So says Chris Harrison to Clare Crawley at the outset of the new trailer for The Bachelorette, which teases the worst kept secret in all of reality television:

Clare will be leading the show early this season and will be getting replaced by Tayshia Adams.

Shocking, right? Not so much anymore we guess.

We’ve known for months now that this is the way Clare’s journey will end, considering she fell early on for Dale Moss — and, as evidenced by this past episode of The Bachelorette, everyone around her now knows it, too.

Clare couldn’t hide her feelings for Dale on Season 16 Episode 3, and she ended the episode by saying her other contestants didn’t even deserve a second group date rose.

Crazy, right?

Next Tuesday night, word leaks out that Crawley is on her way out — and the guys are pissed.

“I’m about to freak the f–k out,” one of them says.

“Why am I here?” asks another.

It’s hard to blame them, right?

“We have never dealt with anything like this in the history of our show,” Harrison tells the suitors.

But he has a backup plan, of course!

As The Bachelorette spoilers revealed ages ago, Adams was brought in early on by producers, who took note almost immediately that Clare was smitten with Dale.

Cut to Adams!

Emerging from a pool, with a sultry look her face, ready for the spotlight at last!

On Tuesday’s installment, Clare gushed non-stop over Moss, whom she had been most impressed with since meeting him on the season premiere earlier this month.

Dale earned the first impression rose on opening night.

“I have so many good guys,” Clare said to former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas this week.

“There was one guy … I swear it was electricity.

“His name is Dale. I got roasted so bad by this guy last night and from the corner of my eye, I see Dale, and it was so nice to have a man come over and say, ‘Let me help you take care of this.'”

Said DeAnna to Clare:

“When you know, you know. I had never experienced that before I met my husband. I’m telling you, it is true.”

Will it be true, forever love for Crawley and Moss?

We’ll find out in due time.

Will Adams also walk away with a possible soulmate?

We’re about to find that out as well.

Check out the intriguing trailer now!

Ben Higgins Blasts Clare Crawley Over Strip Dodgeball: It’s a Double Standard!!

Some viewers are absolutely flipping out at Clare Crawley over the strip dodgeball game.

They are not alone. Ben Higgins says that it’s an outrageous double standard.

To say that Clare and her season are polarizing to fans and viewers is an understatement.

Wild reports about Clare falling head over heels for one of the contestants very early on turned out to be true.

But a bunch of disappointed suitors has turned out to be only part of the story of why some viewers are resentful of Clare.

See, on the second episode of the season, Clare had an eye-catching group date with ten of her suitors.

The result? A game of Strip Dodgeball. Five of the players ended up either so naked or close enough to it that ABC got a lot of work out of their blurring feature.

Some viewers are furious … and apparently, that anger extends to some members of the Bachelor Fam, as well.

Now, Ben Higgins hasn’t been especially lucky in love, but he’s something of a fan favorite.

He has a good relationship with the Bachelor Nation as a whole and with Chris Harrison.

In a recent episode of the The Ben And Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast, he weighed in on the game of Strip Dodgeball.

“I think we can all be clear that there’s a double standard right now. 100%,” Ben asserts.

He says that there is “a very obvious double standard that was presented and that, I don’t know if the show’s trying to send a message.”

Ben continues: “saying ‘Hey, there is an obvious double standard or not,’ but I watched this.”

“And,” Ben continues, “let’s for a second reverse course and say, okay, if this was a Bachelor season, no way this happens.”

“No way they get away with it,” he says. “No way it’s appropriate.”

“No way that this just becomes a weekly topic…. I think this show is super smart,” Ben says, pivoting.

“They knew this wouldn’t shut down the show,” he suggests as the pivot continues.

“But,” Ben continues, “it’s pushing the envelope here a little bit. Right?”

That’s true. Peter’s disaster of a season included a pillowfight, but the ladies were in nightgowns — albeit not especially prudish ones.

Ben says that “there’s no shot” that he could have been part of that if he were a suitor.

Why? Because he says that it’s “all fun and games until my buddies and I are naked on national television.”

Ben says that he stays in shape, but would have felt inadequate competing with all of the other hunky guys, not to mention being seeing and judged by the viewers at home.

“Maybe I’m crazy, maybe you guys can remind me,” Ben says.

“But,” he opines, “this felt like it was pushing the envelope more than any other date I can remember on The Bachelor.”

He does then acknowledge: “They push the envelope every season.”

“There’s always that controversial thing that happens,” Ben says.

He knows that there is always something “that goes, ‘Oh, next year it’s not gonna be as much,’ or whatever.”

“This felt like a lot…. I would say, though, this would not have been a date I participated in,” He adds, noting that he’s sure that it was optional.

“Not because I necessarily have a problem with the whole get naked and run around thing,” Ben emphasizes.

He adds: “I don’t know personally if that’s wrong or right.”

“I would have just been so uncomfortable,” Ben confesses.

Being uncomfortable naked is just fine!

It is every bit as valid as feeling uncomfortable wearing clothing.

It sounds like he’s asking if there’s somehow a moral component to nudity? That’s very silly. There is not. It’s fine. It’s just a bunch of people having bodies.

Ben’s “double standard” line is all about how viewers (and production) would have turned upside down if a leading man had ten gorgeous ladies play strip dodgeball.

Well … he’s probably right. The thing is that this isn’t some arbitrary or unfair standard.

Society views women by their appearance, so it is harmful to reinforce that by putting women on display in ways that men are not.

The same is not true of men, whom society values across a spectrum of criteria.

If you think that the dodgeball game was in poor taste, that’s fine! If you think that it has set a new standard for how you want your own dating life to go, more power to you.

But there’s nothing immoral about nudity, and this is a situation where “what if that were a woman” doesn’t apply, because society does not treat men and women the same.

Clare Crawley Sneaks Around with Dale Moss: Quick, Hide From the Guys!

We already showed you the promo for next week, where Clare’s suitors trash talk Dale Moss.

But this new teaser is setting up viewers for the biggest twist in the history of the show.

ABC has released a new promo for next week’s The Bachelorette.

Clare and Dale cannot keep their hands off of each other, even when cameras are rolling … even when Dale’s competitors are already jealous.

On Tuesday, October 27, fans are going to see just how far the two of them would go to keep their romance under wraps.

Of course, as you can see in the promo itself, fans will have to wade through some excruciating puns.

“There’s a Clare frontrunner here,” the voiceover teases.

“And the men will just have to Dale with it,” the teaser declares. That was … awful. I’m almost enchanted.

But the real action is in the footage, where we see Clare and Dale in Clare’s sweet, making out.

It is complained that the two were simply supposed to hang out for five minutes … which somehow turned into a full hour.

When at least one of the other men works up the nerve and impatience to knock on the door, Clare realizes that she will probably have to open it.

“Let me go hide in the closet,” Dale says over footage of the two of them locking lips.

We’re not sure how convincing that would be if the others know that he’s in there — and it sounds like they do.

Also, the camera’s in there. Do they think that Clare was being filmed just, what, doing her makeup for an hour? Every season has a few himbos, but they can’t all be dumb.

Chris Harrison is then seen breaking some difficult news to the (other) contestants.

“Clare’s not coming to dinner,” he tells them.

This is when the situation devolves into chaos, yelling, and hurt feelings.

Obviously, this is when Kenny yells his infamous and long-teased line.

“I expected way more from the oldest Bachelorette,” he says in a line seemingly designed to hurt her feelings.

This is when we see Clare declaring “sick! sick!” seemingly at the universe around her.

At this point, one guy can be heard saying: “If you want to go be with Dale, then we’ll all go home.”

Though there was just one speaker saying this, it’s clear that his sentiments are not his alone.

We see a teaser of a number of the guys walking off.

At this point, some of us are reminded of that infamous “my subs have unionized” Reddit post from a polyamorous man.

In this case, it looks like Clare’s contestants are going on strike — or straight up rage-quitting.

Memes aside, though, you can tell that there are a lot of hurt feelings going on.

Puns aside, the narration then teases that all of this is “setting the stage for the biggest twist in Bachelorette history.”

The twist is no mystery — Clare will of course be replaced by Tayshia Adams. We’ll just get to see it all go down.

First, though, Clare will sob as Chris tells her that she has just blown up the show. He’s not wrong.

We are also looking forward to the roast — but not because we think that any of these men are going to be as funny as special guest star Margaret Cho.

Instead, it looks like some of them are going to use the event to go a little too hard on Dale … and it won’t go over well with Clare.

What a mess. We cannot wait to watch it all go down.

The Bachelorette Suitors Trash Dale Moss: F–k You, Dude!

We can all agree that the latest episode of The Bachelorette was rather awkward, right?

We mean, at one point, Clare had to ask the men why nobody was talking to her at the cocktail party.

That was a first, as far as we can remember.

Next Tuesday night, however, things will turn from awkward to ugly.

And also, very personal.

With Clare’s feelings for Dale Moss undeniable and clear to absolutely everyone on set, the suitors will turn their attention to the former NFL wide receiver.

At one point, during what appears to be a roast, a contestant asks, “What’s one thing you guys don’t know about Dale?”

He waits a beat and then answers his own question as follows:

“Nothing. Because he never shuts the f–k up.”

“If some of these guys are picking up on Dale and I’s relationship and the connection he and I have, well, guess what,” Clare is then head saying.

“That is because I like him.”

We then see Clare and Dale getting very frisky with each other inside of a bedroom, with each telling the other he/she is “perfect.”

They really aren’t trying to hide it at all here, are they?

Cut to one contestant wondering whether Moss and Crawley were in contact prior to meeting on The Bachelorette, while another goes off on Dale.

“He thinks he’s better than all of us,” this guy theorizes, before addressing Dale with a giant middle finger and the words “f–k you!”

As previously teased, some of Dale’s competitors do think Moss is a phony and a fake and a lot of that anger looks as if it will come pouring out next week.

Get your popcorn ready, everyone.

And not just for the Dale drama, but for what looks to be the Yosef Aborady drama.

In the trailer featured here, this season’s villain taunts Crawley, saying he “expected more from the oldest [ever] Bachelorette,” causing the jaws of many of his fellow contestants to drop on the spot.

Yes.

Yosef really says this.

But Crawley can take care of herself, folks.

“I’m the oldest Bachelorette and I’m 39 and single because I didn’t settle for men like THAT,” she cries in response.

Holy craziness, right?

As for whether this will be Clare’s final episode before Tayshia Adams takes over?

You can visit our section of The Bachelorette spoilers to find out.

The Bachelorette Season 16 Trailer: Is Dale a Phony?

Whoa there!

The Bachelorette Season 16 is about to bring the drama… and the chaos.

At this point, yes, you’ve very likely read about all that happens to Clare Crawley and her dozens of suitors, but that doesn’t mean you know how they arrive at that point.

It’s one thing to say Clare leaves the show early to start a life with Dale Moss. It’s another to see how everyone around her reacts to this stunner.

In this three-minute long trailer, Clare makes up with a lot of guys.

She also grows emotional at one point, explaining how this is finally her “chance to not be the one begging a guy to be with me.”

It’s a pretty sad admission for the 39-year old to make, really.

“I do want a man with balls,” she says at another point, prior to a number of contestants seemingly stripping all the way down to nothing.

It’s also important to note that Moss isn’t the only guy who falls for Clare on Season 16.

“The way you make me feel is the way I’ve wanted to feel my entire life,” one dude tells Crawley in a stark and honest confession.

And yet, in the end, it all comes back to Moss.

Much to the chagrin of Clare’s other suitors, some of which are VERY suspect of the former NFL wide receiver. They think Crawley should be concerned.

“I have feelings for Dale. We have a connection… I know what I want, and I found it,” Clare says in this promo, shortly before we hear a dire warning.

“You’re phony. You’re fraudulent. You’re artificial,” a contestant tells a very irritated Moss, later adding of the show’s lead:

‘It’s only a matter of time before Clare realizes the truth, that Dale isn’t who she thinks he is.”

Uhhh, GULP.

Elsewhere, we see Clare absolutely lose it, screaming that she’s 39 and single because she didn’t settle for “men like that.”

We’re pretty sure she’s talking about Yosef Aborady here, the alleged Season 16 villain who reportedly gets sent home outside of a rose ceremony.

At no point in the preview do we learn for certain that Clare leaves early and Tayshia Adams gets brought in as her replacement.

But one contestant does say he’s stunned about the “process being cut short.”

We then conclude the promo with Chris Harrison looking anxious while standing outside the resort.

A limo pulls up.

We don’t see who gets out, as the video cuts to black — but we all know this person’s identity by now, don’t we?

Check out the revealing footage now!

Bachelor Nation: Is Anyone Still Together??

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are TV shows with a clear goal that you don’t need Bachelor spoilers to figure out:

Set up a man or woman with his or her soulmate.

Heck, nearly every season ends with a proposal, right? And yet, over time, almost no proposals end in actual marriage.

By the numbers, few couples from Bachelor Nation last months; let alone years; let alone an entire lifetime together.

Have there been exceptions to this rule?

Oh yeah, just look at Jason and Molly. Or Sean and Cat. Rachel and Bryan. Even Arie and Lauren … or JoJo and Jordan.

Nevertheless, it’s still an arduous, uphill battle.

See Hannah Brown and Jed Wyatt, or Peter Weber and Madison Prewett, whose engagements lasted … days? Hours?

These are unique cases, and yet … not.

The fact is that it’s hard out there for duos spawned by this franchise to make it work. As we saw again this weekend.

Yes, you probably saw that Colton and Cassie broke up this summer. And Becca and Garrett. Now Ashley and J.P.

Some people are just meant to be friends.

Will Clare Crawley (or Tayshia Adams) fare any better in 2020, assuming filming resumes and there even is a season?

We hope so. But we doubt it. Anyway …

So looking back through the years, who is still living happily ever after after the final rose was handed out?

Take a look at notable duos from The Bachelor and Bachelorette and see whether they’re still a romantic item now.

1. Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph

Colton cassie
Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph, as we mentioned and you probably heard if you’re reading this, broke up in late May 2020. By all accounts, Cassie was The One for Colton from the start, and it appeared that she was along for the ride long after he busted the inaugural nut. Whether they actually make it to the altar was always suspect, however, given the hesitation we’d seen on the show … and some of the bombshells he dropped in his recent memoir … and just the overall odds of reality TV relationships actually lasting. Not good. But hey. They made it over a year and as they said in their joint statement, some people are just meant to be friends instead. No shame in that truth. Of course, given her recent accusations and the restraining order she filed, there may be plenty of shame we’ve yet to learn about.

2. Peter Weber and Madison Prewett

Madison prewett and peter weber
Peter Weber was an iconic disaster on The Bachelor. So much so that it’s hard to decide which of his relationships to even include here. He began his season needing “closure” with Hannah Brown, who returned to the show for multiple episodes … then got engaged to Hannah Ann Sluss on the finale and dumped her a month later (long before the finale actually made it to air). Then Chris Harrison flew to Alabama to set Peter up with runner-up Madison Prewett, who he went public with on the After the Final Rose special. They broke up two days after. Then he got together with Kelley Flanagan, another contestant on his season who didn’t even make it to hometown dates. Good luck to her.

3. Hannah Brown and Jed Wyatt

Jed wyatt photo
This one didn’t come close to working out. Hannah accepted Jed’s proposal… only to find out TWO WHOLE DAYS later that Wyatt had never told her about a quasi girlfriend back at home. She then dumped him. A year later, she said she had doubts even during the proposal itself. Maybe she shouldn’t have put herself through that, but what can you do. The heart wants what it wants and sometimes that’s douchelords.

4. Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen

Becca kufrin and garrett yrigoyen engagement pic
Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen hit it off from the very start, and after a fairly conventional season of The Bachelorette, they got engaged on the finale. Perhaps the most notable obstacle for this duo came prior to the season, when his Instagram “double-tapping” of some seriously offensive posts and memes came to light. It appeared they were destined to stay on cloud nine, until the spring and summer of 2020, when it appears his support of Blue Lives Matter and their different world views were just too much to overcome. They split August 6.

5. JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers

Jordan rodgers and jojo fletcher after the final rose
JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers have been an interesting case, both seemingly over the moon in love and behind the proverbial eight ball since day one. They certainly seem to have weathered whatever storms have been in their path thus far, and enough time has passed that they’re no longer in the “honeymoon” phase that they’ve proven us wrong, for sure. Whether or not they make it to the altar is still an open question, but there’s zero signs of trouble right now, at least publicly. It’s been FOUR YEARS at this point so we have to give them credit. Hey, they even got engaged, again. For whatever that’s worth.

6. Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo

Rachel lindsay engagement ring
Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo are a match made in heaven. Bachelor Nation seemed to prefer runner-up Peter Kraus, but Rachel went with the smooth (too smooth for some fans’ liking) doctor from Miami at the last minute. And it worked out for them! These two got married in August 2019!

The Bachelorette Stars: Which Romances Lasted the Longest?

If The Bachelorette spoilers are any indication, Clare Crawley will get engaged and bow out of the show early in this season.

She’ll be replaced by Tayshia Adams, who will finish the job of doling out the roses in this most bizarre year for the series.

We’re hoping for the best for both Clare and Tayshia on their respective journeys, but face it, the odds are not in their favor.

Why do we say that? Isn’t it obvious?

If Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum split, that tells you all you need to know. Even in the best circumstances, it’s tough.

This is a dating competition throwing two people together under a pretense that is literally impossible to sustain over time.

Can they transition into real life, establish a new normal and make it work? Sure they can, but often times, they fall short.

Which stars made their true love last?

Which flamed out so hilariously fast you can barely even call it a relationship? And what about those in between?

We have ranked the 17 Bachelorette stars based on who was most successful at finding love during her stint as queen.

See how they stack up from worst to first, and see if this year’s TWO stars can succeed where others have failed …

1. Hannah Brown

Hannah brown picture
Our most recent Bachelorette, Hannah Brown a.k.a. Hannah Beast a.k.a. Alabama Hannah a.k.a. Beast Mode, comes in first, or last, depending on your point of view. Hannah got engaged to Jed Wyatt on The Bachelorette, but that was over by the time we got to the After the Final Rose special, at which point she asked out runner-up Tyler Cameron. (That short-lived romance fizzled also.) Hopefully Clare can clear this very low bar.

2. Jen Schefft

Jen schefft
Bachelorette Jen Schefft broke up with winner Jerry Ferris on the After the Rose special because she just “wasn’t feeling it.” Not even making it to the day after the finale? As we saw with Hannah Brown, Jen set a low bar set for everyone else at least.

3. Clare Crawley

Clare crawley the bachelorette
Clare Crawley’s journey hasn’t even aired yet, but she’s reportedly found love with Dale Moss – and besides, even if The Bachelorette’s 2020 season ends in shambles, you can’t flame out harder than Jen or Hannah B., so she’s already ahead two spots in these rankings!

4. Tayshia Adams

Tayshia photo
Like Clare, we can’t put Tayshia Adams any higher on this list since her journey hasn’t unfolded on ABC yet – but she also can’t possibly mess it up harder than Hannah or Jen, so hey. It’s a really low bar. Also, she already got the weird John Paul Jones thing outta the way in Paradise, so hopefully she’ll make better life decisions this time around.

5. Emily Maynard

Emily maynard bachelorette photo
Emily Maynard and Jef Holm broke up just a few months after his proposal in 2012. He was never the right guy anyway. Should’ve picked Sean Lowe. Not that she or Sean (who is happily married to Catherine Giudici, who he met on The Bachelor) are overthinking it right now. Sean and Catherine are about as happy as a couple can be, while Emily has since married and had a bunch of kids with Tyler Johnson.

6. Andi Dorfman

Andi dorfman and josh murray on the bachelorette
Andi Dorfman found love with Josh Murray on The Bachelorette, a move that she seemed destined to make from the start despite a lot of red flags. The heart wants what it wants, we suppose … including breakups. Unfortunately, their engagement ended after only six months or so.
