Back in May, Mackenzie McKee caught her husband cheating on her with her cousin.

Now, it’s unclear what exactly transpired between the two parties — Mackenzie initially said they were having sex, but then backpedaled on that accusation — but whatever it was, it was bad enough that Mackenzie filed for divorce from the father of her children.

Now, the Teen Mom star is coming forward with new details about the situation.

For starters, it seems the cousin in question is “a lot older” than her and Josh.

And apparently, Mackenzie confronted her when she learned of the infidelity.

Last month, Teen Mom OG fans were stunned by the news that Mackenzie McKee decided to divorce her husband Josh after catching him in what she believed to be an affair with her cousin.

Well, mostly stunned.

It wasn’t the split itself that was shocking – Josh had cheated on Mackenzie before, and they’d separated on at least one previous occasion – but the timing of the breakup that caught fans off guard.

It was just six months ago that Mackenzie’s mother Angie Douthit passed away following a long battle with cancer.

Throughout her mother’s fight for her life, Mackenzie praised Josh for the love and support he provided Angie.

Now it turns out that the father of her three kids was sneaking off to hook up with some else that entire time?

And that person was one of her own family members?

Well, not quite. She made it clear that it was. Aboiut as clear as it could possibly be. But then walked it back. Mostly.

Mackenzie now believes that Josh did not cheat on her, but she’s decided to go ahead with the divorce anyway.

Now, she’s alleging that he carried on an “emotional affair” with her cousin. Whatever that means.

What exactly went on there, we will likely never know. Mackenzie is likely to keep changing her story too, it appears.

But it sounds like Josh Mckee’s behavior wasn’t quite as reprehensible as Mackenzie initially made it out to be.

And to be fair, she’s realized that, and she’s even started accepting some of the blame for the failure of her marriage.

Mackenzie posted the photo above on her Instagram page this week, part of an album commemorating a day with the kids on Josh McKee’s boat.

“A day in papas boat out on the water. Today I am fried. #kidscomefirst #healthycoparenting,” she captioned the album.

That caption is interesting in its own right.

Amicable co-parenting is a great thing – and an admirable goal – if in fact they are going through with the divorce.

And as Starcasm reports, Mackenzie really opened up when replying to followers who commented on the pics:

“I just had to learn that I have made mistakes, he has made mistakes. Together we destroyed a marriage,” she wrote in response to a fan whose husband recently left her for another woman.

“And now we have to learn to raise these kids together and get along,” she added.

“It’s hard sister I know. With the help of God everything has gone very smoothly.”

From there, she shared some surprising praise for her ex.

“Thankfully Josh has been the easiest person to go through something like this with. But it also helps that neither of us are wanting to move on and be in relationships right now,” McKee wrote.

“We just want to figure ourselves out.”

“And when that day comes, I just pray he finds someone who will respect me and my kids. It’s all in God’s hands.”

Wow. Sounds like Mackenzie has adopted a very healthy attitude toward her ex.

Of course, when other followers expressed doubt for her claims of amicable co-parenting, she quickly reminded us that she’s still every bit the Oklahoma spitfire fans have come to know and love:

“If you can’t support me unfollow me,” she wrote.

“I can remove him from being my husband but have no reason to remove him from his children. It’s people like you that make me not want to share my life anymore.”

Mackenzie concluded with a zen-like message about accepting both one’s fate and one’s culpability in said fate:

“I think it’s safe to say we’ve been equally wrong to one another.”

“He shouldn’t have put up with me and I shouldn’t have him,” she wrote.

“I promise I’m a big girl and am making the right decisions for our babies.”

It might not make for the most compelling television, but wouldn’t it be refreshing to see all the Teen Moms adopt such mature attitudes toward their exes?

Her life has been very eventful for the past few months, and unfortunately it’s all been just terrible.

Josh has been silent while Mackenzie has repeatedly discussed this matter on social media and in interviews, but now, he’s ready to talk.

Mackenzie McKee Shares Her Thirstiest Photo EVER!

Last week, Mackenzie McKee revealed that she had caught her husband cheating, but then hastily walked back her accusations.

But she’s making sure that anybody hoping to be Josh’s side piece knows exactly how hot — and thirsty — their competition is.

“Staying thirsty,” Mackenzie McKee captioned the photo that you are about to see.

She’s showing off her hot body in a pink bikini.

Mackenzie puts a lot of serious work into her incredible body, as anyone can tell.

But as you can see in this photo, she also has a fun sense of humor.

Most of us may think of thirsty photos as social media hotties who want attention or perhaps more fame, or thirst traps for followers.

But staying hydrates is also important.

We can’t say that most drink containers are traditionally that large … not when they’re intended for one person.

But if you’re as thirsty as Mackenzie clearly is, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it, right?

To be clear, she was drinking water. We just want to get that part out of the way.

The context for the photo was that she was enjoying her Memorial Day weekend.

Mackenzie also made sure that her followers knew that her kids were enjoying themselves, too.

They enjoyed floating on the lake under their mother’s watchful eye.

Mackenzie’s weekend had its ups and downs, however. The past couple of weeks have been complicated?

Why? Because she exposed Josh’s “affair.”

According to her, starting right around her mother’s tragic passing last year, Josh’s behavior changed.

He was staying out until the wee hours of the morning on alleged “fishing” trips.

Mackenzie laid out the claims as clear as day on social media.

What’s more, she says that when she snooped to find out what he was doing, she discovered that he was constantly talking to another woman.

That other woman was none other than Mackenzie’s own cousin — her close cousin.

That, she explained, felt like a jarring betrayal — one that she had never expected.

However, Mackenzie didn’t take long before she changed her tune.

She later said that Josh had only had an “emotional affair.”

And although the word “cheating” had appeared on her social media accounts, she insisted that she had never described Josh’s actions with that word.

For the record, it is 100% possible to cheat on your spouse without meeting up in person. People do it every day.

But Mackenzie’s most recent explanations for her husband’s behavior sound less like she was cheated on and more like he hired her as his rep.

She’s saying that he was just texting her cousin for advice on how to handle her.

Mackenzie has spoken openly about how her mental and emotional health have suffered in the wake of her mother’s tragic passing.

We’re not sure what part of this alleged advice told Josh to stay out late for so many nights, though.

Regardless of what Josh did or did not do, it is up to Mackenzie whether or not to believe him.

It is also up to her to decide what comes next.

Countless couples endure affairs — emotional or otherwise — and are able to move on.

For others, it’s just one of many signs that a relationship is over.

Mackenzie McKee: I Wanted to Leave Josh a Long Time Ago, But…

Mackenzie McKee has, once again, left her husband.

At least we think this is the case.

We aren’t trying to be snarky or rude or insensitive in any way here.

We’re just really unsure what’s going on between Mackenzie and Josh at the moment.

As all Teen Mom OG fans likely know well, McKee posted a lengthy message on Facebook last week in which she accused Josh of having an affair — with her cousin, Amy.

The mother of three wrote at the time that she was going to “walk away” from Josh for betraying her trust (with a relative, no less!), an unethical act that took place just a few months after Josh also cheated on her last summer.

“My family will never be the same and we are all torn. I WAS NOT only hurt by him, but by her,” McKee wrote in this message, adding:

“I have cried until my eyes were swollen shut. I am in utter shock. I’m now opening my eyes to what a horrible man Josh has been.”

Seems pretty clear cut that the marriage is over, right?

The thing is: Mackenzie made similar claims just under a year ago, only to reverse positions after Josh swore he changed and then got down on one knee to re-propose to his wife in October.

Moreover, McKee backtracked this week and said Josh didn’t actually cheat on her.

Not in the physical sense, at least.

“I never used the word cheating or banging,” Mackenzie wrote on Instagram over the weekend. “For the sake of my family stop using that word.”

McKee went on to call this an “emotional affair” between her husband and cousin, explaining that Josh was only going to Amy for advice on how to handle her after Mackenzie’s mother, Angie, died of cancer.

Actually sounds like a nice gesture on Josh’s part in that case — but what do we know?

Despite this revelation, it does sound as if Mackenzie is still done with Josh.

She actually tells In Touch Weekly that she would have left him “a long time ago” if not for the estranged couple’s three children.

“It would have been easy. Goodbye,” Mackenzie told this tabloid.

“My family has [never] seen [a] divorce,” she added. “I’m not saying that put pressure on me, but it’s just generations and generations. I would be the first [to] split up [a] family.

Mackenzie and Josh welcomed son Gannon in September 2011 and then got married two years later.

They welcomed their daughter, Jaxie in February 2014 and then their second son, Broncs, in August 2016.

The MTV personality first filed for divorce from he husband in August 2019 following those original cheating allegations.

Will she actually file the official papers once again in this latest case? She hasn’t yet said for sure.

“He has been a lie,” McKee wrote on Facebook last week of Josh.

“And how can you watch your wife lose her mom and make these decisions? …

‘People have tried to tell me for years Josh doesn’t love me, and I just made excuses for him. But today is the day I walk away.”

Even if Josh didn’t sleep with Amy? Yes, Mackenzie says:

“Josh was texting and calling her for advice on how to handle me. To me, that was wrong on both ends and enough to walk away.”

Mackenzie McKee: Battling Depression, Neglecting Her Kids Amid Crisis?

If you’re a Teen Mom OG fan, we probably don’t need to tell you these are not easy times for Mackenzie McKee.

Back in December, Mackenzie’s mother Angie Douthit passed away following a long and harrowing battle with cancer.

In recent weeks, Mackenzie’s grief has been compounded by the discovery that her husband, Josh McKee, was having an affair with her cousin.

(At least that’s what Mackenzie says. Conflicting accounts have cast doubt on that allegation.)

At the time that Tuesday night’s episode of Teen Mom OG was filmed, Josh and Mackenzie were still together.

Nevertheless, Mack described herself as “really depressed” as she struggled to get her kids to school on time.

Josh, apparently, was unable to help because he’d been “battling a cold.”

“I’ve been struggling to juggle work and getting the kids to school on time. Now the school is threatening me with truancy court,” Mackenzie revealed.

“It’s been such a challenge,” she added.

Mackenzie didn’t deny that she had been negligent in getting her kids up and out of the house on time:

“They have been late. Now they have two weeks worth of absences. I’m about to get sent to truancy court. It’s a $250 fine,” she said at one point.

“Pretty embarrassing. I wake up at 3 with anxiety attacks all night and I fall asleep at 5am.”

A friend asked Mackenzie why Josh doesn’t step up and get the kids ready for school, and she revealed that he was three hours late when he tried.

Of course, we now know that Josh was stepping out with Mackenzie’s cousin around this time.

All those late nights might go a long way toward explaining all those sluggish mornings.

“I took a whole month off. It’s a tornado spinning around me. My brain thinks in spaghetti noddles, but I have to learn to live in squares,” she complained.

“I want my mom to be proud of me so I can’t keep dropping the ball. I’m hoping today can be a fresh start.”

Unable to rely on her husband, Mackenzie appealed directly to her kids:

“It is very important we are on time all the time for school because we have been getting into some trouble lately,” she told them.

“Life has been pretty tough for all of us. Let’s try to work together as a family.”

Eventually, a solution was discovered: 

Mackenzie laid out her kids’ clothes the night before, and that minor change allowed her to get her kids to school 10 minutes early!

Of course, the larger problem of Mackenzie’s depressive response to recent events in her life remains unsolved:

“Even though I am trying, a lot is going on right now and I need help,” she told her husband, desperately seeking his support.

“Sometimes you don’t like when I cry out to you, but it is very hard to want to be alive right now.”

Sadly, Mackenzie’s marriage has come to an end in the months since the episode was shot, and the split seems to have taken a massive emotional toll.

“Damn. Can’t even get drunk enough to numb the pain,” Mack recently wrote on social media.

It sounds as though Mackenzie has worked out a way to handle the day-to-day logistics of her life while grappling with intense emotional pain.

But that pain will still need to be dealt with in time. We just hope she has the support system to help her.

We all need a little help sometimes.

And we hope you’re paying close attention because it’s a rather important clarification.

Okay? Ready? Here we go…

We understand why you may have thought otherwise, considering the Teen Mom OG star came out last week and said her husband cheated on her with her cousin.

Did she write those exact words?

We mean, you can scroll down and decide for yourself.

The Cheater Strikes Again!

“I know many have it worse than me. This isn’t a pity party. Life has thrown me some huge curve balls. Idk how I’ve made it here,” McKee wrote several days ago in a lengthy Facebook post.

She then came right out and wrote;

“To find out that one week after my mom died ‘when he started leaving and changing his behavior’ to find he was texting a woman 3-600 times per month and calling her on these nights he was ‘fishing’ until 3am.”

Yikes, right?!?

From Bad to Worse...

Eventually, McKee wrote that this woman was actually her cousin, Ashley.

And she emphasized that it was time for her to finally “walk away,” especially when you consider that Josh also cheated on Mackenzie last year.

McKee went on to explain that Josh grew more and more distant after her mom, Angie, died of cancer, although she also admitted that her own behavior changed around this time as well… understandably, of course.

“What all went on? I don’t know. My family will never be the same and we are all torn. I WAS NOT only hurt by him, but by her,” Mackenzie wrote.

Caught! Again!

Within 24 hours after this Facebook post went viral, Mackenzie’s Instagram account shared a sponsored link post in her stories about the break up with the headline: “Josh cheated on me with my cousin.”

Pretty straightforward, right?

Not quite apparently.

Fast forward another 24 hours and McKee posted another sponsored link to a Champion Daily story in which she provided quotes about the marital split.

In this interview, Mackenzie described Josh’s relationship with her cousin as an “emotional affair.”

She said she “pulled his phone records and found he had been texting and calling a number more than necessary… and that’s when I chose that we were done for good and posted the status.”

But are they actually done for good?

Let’s be frank, Mackenzie said the same last year… and then Josh re-proposed on her birthday in October and she went around saying he was a totally changed man.

Now, less than a week after saying very clearly that Josh had betrayed her trust once again, Mackenzie is walking back her affair accusations.

“I never used the word cheating or banging,” Mackenzie wrote on Instagram over the weekend “For the sake of my family stop using that word.”

It feels like McKee should have said this into a mirror. But okay, noted.

Mackenzie’s post concluded with the hope that everyone can get past the whole Josh-having-an-affair-with-her-cousin fiasco.

“I’m moving on so let’s all stop stalking my relatives and move along,” she wrote.

At this point, we have no clue what to make of Josh and Mackenzie’s relationship.

It appears to be in a bad place, that’s for certain.

Later, on Twitter, Mackenzie said that “Josh was texting and calling [Ashley] for advice on how to handle me and to me that was wrong on both ends and enough to walk away.”

It actually sounds like the actions of a thoughtful husband who isn’t sure how to help his grieving wife, in our view.

But what do we know, right?

When it comes to Mackenzie and Josh, the answer is very clearly: Nothing.
