Josh McKee Tries, Fails to Save Marriage to Mackenzie in Not-At-All-Staged Teen Mom Scene

In a newly-released sneak peek at Tuesday night’s Teen Mom OG episode, Josh McKee tries to come across like a loving husband.

In reality, however, upon any sort of closer inspection or analysis, one can only truly arrive at the following conclusion:

Josh McKee is a really terrible husband.

In a clip from this week’s brand new installment of the MTV hit, posted by People Magazine, Mackenzie receives a unique birthday gift from her husband amid their attempts to reconcile after he admitted to cheating on her last year.

“Josh and I spent three days on a couple’s retreat, and it really helped our relationship,” she says at one point, adding:

“He’s still not living in the house with the kids and I, but he stopped by to drop off cupcakes for my birthday.”

Mackenzie and Josh have been on quite a romantic roller coaster for about a year now.

On last year’s run of Teen Mom OG, Mackenzie believed that Josh had slept with another woman while on the road for his rodeo job.

He denied it at the time.

However, on this season’s premiere of the same show, Josh confessed to his “inappropriate” behavior, essentially admitting that he was, indeed, disloyal.

As you can read all about directly above, Mackenzie has since told followers that she’s living alone and that her marriage is over.

Tomorrow night’s episode, though, was filmed many months ago – McKee was born on October 17, if that helps you better understand the timeline here – and that helps explain why she hasn’t yet made a decision about her relationship.

She’s still letting Josh make whatever grand gestures he can to try and win her back.

So, back to the clip:

It features Mackenzie getting some cupcakes from her husband, along wiith a note prompting Mackenzie to go on an extravagant scavenger hunt, complete with stops at some of her favorite places.

What is her reaction to this thoughtful gift?

Happiness. And total shock.

“I’ve been with Josh for nine years and I’ve never gotten on a birthday present,” she tells her mom, who, yes, was still alive back when the episode was filmed.

Like we said above:

The footage really just makes it clear that Josh is an awful person, considering he never previously got his wife anything for her birthday.

As previously detailed back in the fall, this scavenger hunt actually ended in Josh proposing to Mackenzie again.

It seemed at the time as if there was hope for this couple’s future.

“I see this cowboy that I married dressed up in this suit with a rose in his mouth,” she told People in October of the re-proposal.

“And he was walking towards me and the music starts playing and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh. I cannot believe this is happening.’”

Added the MTV personality in October:

“We found our way back to each other even when we thought it was impossible. I fell in love with a new man.”

Alas, she really did not.

We now know that Josh did cheat on Mackenzie and that she has since left him.

“For joshes sake and what I know will be shown, I am here to say that I have not been a perfect wife throughout the years and have made several unfaithful mistakes as now has he,” wrote McKee in recently telling fans that she’s left her husband.

“I am choosing at this time to live alone, focus on my kids, my business, and growing closer to God,” she added.

God bless.

Teen Mom OG Trailer: Drugs! Pregnancy! Medical Emergencies!

It’s that time again, friends!

A brand new season of Teen Mom OG has just begun, and the coming weeks will be filled with episode after episode of just piles and piles of drama.

How do we know that?

Well, one, it’s Teen Mom — drama is kind of the whole point.

And two, MTV just released a brand new trailer for the season, so we have a better idea of what we can be expecting.

And friends … it’s going to get messy.

The trailer kicks off with some cuteness — a clip over at the Baltierra home with baby Vaeda hitting her big sister in the cutest way possible, and Ryder cruising off on a scooter.

But they don’t waste any time getting to the good stuff.

After Ryder scoots away, we see Cory tell Cheyenne that he and his girlfriend are expecting a child of their own.

And although Cheyenne has been extremely supportive on social media, she doesn’t seem super pleased upon hearing the news.

In another scene — maybe about the pregnancy, maybe not — she holds her head in her hands and says “Oh my god!”, so we’ll have to see how that turns out!

Down in Chattanooga, Maci is spending some time with a friend and talking abour Ryan.

The friend asks her how Ryan looked (we imagine they did a drop-off or there was some kind of event for Bentley), and she answers “In my opinion, he was 100% not sober.”

Remember, Ryan was addicted to heroin, and we guess according to Maci, he still may have a problem.

Sad, right?

And speaking of Ryan, the next clip we see is of him yelling at his parents while Mackenzie (Standifer, Mac McKee comes later) stands by.

“I’m tired of you getting on my ass because I have an order of protection against me with them,” he screams.

It’s honestly probably the most animated we’ve ever seen him.

You’ll never believe what comes next — it’s Amber crying on a couch!

“Honestly when I heard those audios I was ashamed,” she told Gary, who didn’t seem super sympathetic.

Which is fair — remember how awful those audios were?

Amber was out of her mind, threatening to kill Andrew and calling him all sorts of horrible names and bragging about punching him in the face.

She should be ashamed.

Next, Andrew confides in a producer, telling him “I never wanted a broken family.”

As if starting a family with Amber Portwood could have ever had a different outcome.

Over in Michigan, Catelynn and Tyler are, once again, talking about having another baby — and Tyler only has one thing on his mind.

“I just want a boy,” he complained, and so Cate looked up some info about gender selection.

She read that it would costs approximately $18,000 to guarantee their next child would be the boy that he’s so desperately wanted, and as she tells him, “I ain’t paying 20 grand for a kid.”

Tyler looks frustrated, but we don’t hear his thoughts on the matter because the trailer cuts quickly (and tragically) to Mackenzie McKee having a talk with her mother.

“How bad is this?” she asks Angie, who admits that things are “pretty bad.”

They were, of course, talking about Angie’s cancer, and since this scene was filmed several months ago, we know just how bad it was.

Angie passed away in December.

This was touched on in the trailer, too — we see Mackenzie crying as her husband holds her, and we hear her say “After losing her, I will never be the same. Something bad is gonna happen.”

From then on out, we just see some quick little bits of drama — Cheyenne scolds Cory for not showing up to something she planned, Maci tells Taylor that something is “going to be a catastrophe.”

Tyler tells Cate that he things she’s “just afraid of failing,” and we’re actually not sure what that could be about, which is rare these days for this show.

And to wrap things up, there’s some footage of the film crew scrambling around in a panic as an ambulance arrives, because apparently “Amber just fainted.”

Seems like it’s going to be a fun season, right?

Teen Mom: How the Cast Members Make SO MUCH MONEY … and Who’s the Richest [UPDATED]

One of the cool things about being on Teen Mom is that you make a lot of money.

Like, a lot.

The moms and the original dads make hundreds of thousands of dollars per season, if you can even believe it, and they also get to travel for free if MTV is filming, which is pretty neat since we’ve been seeing a lot more vacations on the show recently.

But besides the show itself, cast members are pulling in crazy amounts of cash from all kinds of wild and crazy places.

“Like where?” you may be wondering.

Well, wonder no further …

[We’ve updated the list for 2020 so that you can enjoy the slow financial declines of Jenelle Evans and Farrah Abraham. You know you’ve been waiting for this!]

1. Dang

Teen mom threesome
As we’ve said, the original cast members — the moms and the dads of their first children — all make the same amount, which is somewhere in the neighborhood of $350,000 to $400,000 a season. But what else does everyone do?

2. Amber Portwood

Amber portwood plastic surgery photo
Let’s start with reviewing Amber’s side hustles — this will be the easiest to do, because she really doesn’t have any.

3. Not Much

Amber portwood on the insta
She shares articles on her Instagram page, which brings in some money, and she did appear on that one season of Marriage Boot Camp a couple of years ago, so that’s something.

4. A Quick Hobby

Amber portwood cant chill
For a little while there, she got into flipping houses with Matt Baier, but she hasn’t done that since he’s been gone.

5. Forever Haute

Amber portwood deals with matt baier
She did have that sketchy clothing company for a little while, Forever Haute, but she hasn’t talked about it in a very long time, and the brand’s Facebook page hasn’t been updated for a year and a half, so it’s probably safe to say that that’s done.

6. Well …

Amber portwood mugshot 2019
Right now, she’s facing years in prison after assaulting Andrew Glennon, so she’s probably not thinking so much about her next business venture, you know?

Teen Mom OG: The Arrest of Amber Portwood. The Aftermath.

Amber Portwood has been arrested for domestic violence.

Granted, this is old news for anyone that has followed the Teen Mom OG universe even semi-closely over the past several months.

But the return of this MTV franchise on Tuesday night focused almost entirely on Portwood’s alleged assault last July against then-boyfriend Andrew Glennon, taking viewers behind the scenes of what was going on at the time.

On the show, Portwood confessed that she regretted the way that things played out.

As we saw, her ex — and the father of her daughter, Leah — Gary Shirley was Amber’s main support system while she coped with life after the incident, admitting flat-out she was “in shock” over what transpired.

Viewers also got to witness the rest of the Teen Mom OG cast learn about the arrest — and everyone was pretty worried, most notably Catelynn Baltierra.

After much deliberation, Amber decided to let Glennon continue living in her home with their son, James, who was very much present when she supposedly went after Andrew in a fit of rage, leading to her arrest.

In the aftermath, Portwood moved into a rental home by herself.

And while she was still able to see her daughter due to her strong relationship with Shirley, Amber was really struggling with being away from James.

“Every time I see Leah I just think about James. It just hurts,” Amber told Gary through tears.

(Editor’s Note: Amber was legally banned from seeing her son, thanks to an order of protection, following her arrest. She is is now allowed to have supervised visits and recently opened up about James.)

Still, Amber tried to put on a brave face.

She actually spent a lot time with her daughter, heading over to Gary and his wife Kristina’s home to see Leah off for her first day of school.

At one point, Portwood picked up on her daughter’s nervousness and grew concerned it was her own anxiety that her child was inheriting.

“Instead of happiness, complete joy and excitement, there was too much anxiety and nervousness mixed in with it,” Amber said later of Leah, adding:

“It’s my daughter — I don’t want her to go through anything like that.”

For an understandable reason, of course.

We’ll be seeing and hearing plenty more from Amber this season in regard to her legal and personal situation, but there were some more pleasant Teen Mom OG developments on the premiere…

… like how Catelynn and Tyler renewed their vows!

In Hawaii to celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary, the couple basically got re-marrried, which came as a huge surprise to Tyler.

Why did Catelynn spring this upon her husband?

“I decided to do it because of the year we had prior,” she told Us Weekly this month, referencing the couple’s separation in 2018 and all the obstacles they’ve overcome and adding:

‘It was like a new beginning and recommitting. We are stronger now.”

Elsewhere on an emotional and busy premiere?

  • Maci Bookout and Tyler McKinney went to the woods for a family vacation amid lots more drama with her ex and first baby daddy, Ryan Edwards, and his family.
  • Mackenzie McKee attempted figure out whether or not her marriage to Josh was worth saving, following rumors of his infidelity.
  • Cheyenne Floyd celebrated her long-distance boyfriend, Matt Walker, moving to Los Angeles to be closer to her.

You can follow our link to watch Teen Mom OG online if you need to catch up on anything you missed.

And you can tune in to MTV every Tuesday night at 8/7c to watch new episodes.

You better be staying inside and isolating yourselves these days, so what else are you gonna do, right?

Might as well meet here each week to talk about these wild and crazy ladies, no?

Mackenzie McKee Copes With Loss of Beloved Mother in Heart-Shattering Teen Mom OG Clip

Teen Mom OG returns with new episdoes tonight on MTV.

As previously detailed, and as depicted in the trailer below, the cable network franchise will focus on such major life developments as an arrest and a renewal of vows.

For Mackenzie McKee, however, the new season will be a stark reminder not of life, tragically, but of death.

Back in December, this veteran reality star lost her mother, Angie, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

McKee and her loved ones have been in mourning ever since, of course, but this season of Teen Mom OG may bring back up memories that are both painful and bittersweet.

Why? Because episodes were taped many months ago.

As a result, Angie is actually alive for at least a number of these installments, some of which will feature Mackenzie having heart-to-heart conversations with her mother.

Starting with tonight’s premiere.

In a sneak peek from the this episode, courtesy of People Magazine, Mackenzie actually confides in her mom about her marriage … after she catches husband Josh McKee cheating.

“I truly believed nothing like this would ever happen. This is the most stressful, devastating situation. I’ve cried myself to bed because of how humiliated I am right now,” Mackenzie tells her mom, adding of her and josh:

“I do not see us being together.”

As fans now know, Mackenzie and Josh did work things out in the end.

Heck, even he even re-proposed to his wife last fall.

But the premiere was filmed late last summer, we’re guessing, right around the time where these cheating rumors were at their most prevalent.

When Mackenzie brings up the possibility of divorce in this footage, Angie encourages her daughter not to give up on her marriage.

“I’ve seen marriages restored and it worked out great,” Angie says, adding that it typically takes two people for a relationship to fail:

“You guys built too much up together to throw it all away.

“Too many young couples get divorced over stupid stuff like this and children are just messed up. I see it too much and I want to protect my grandkids.”

“You know I’m praying for you guys,” she adds. “Life is too short to be fighting anyways.”

Sadly, of course, Angie knows this better than anyone.

It’s unclear exactly when this conversation was filmed, but another clip from this upcoming season of Teen Mom OG features Mackenzie talking to her kids about death.

You can check it out here:

Wrote Mackenzie after her mom passed away three months ago:

“Momma @angiedouthit has crossed the finish line. She did not lose the battle, she won. She is healed and running in heaven in eternity. Idk anyone who left earth with such an impact…

“Your entire life you never waisted a chance to let the world know Gods love. When we would try to brag on what an amazing person you are you would respond with, ‘It’s not me, it’s God.’

‘Could you imagine this world if we all lived like Angie Douthit.

“She always said, ‘It’s easy, we were put on earth to share Gods love.’ And boy did she.

“700 daily post for you guys to read daily, hundreds of speaking engagements even when she could barely walk or speak, she simply trusted that God would speak through her.”

Just yesterday, Mackenzie paid tribute once again to her mom and wrote the following:

I have faced a lot of dark in my life lately. So much of it I don’t understand and when I found myself at rock bottom, I asked myself “what would mom tell me to do”?

Life is no longer as simple as picking up the phone and calling her anymore.

So Im doing what I know she would tell me to do which is to turn to the Bible.

Concluded Mackenzie:

So what I learned from this, If you stay faithful to God, your journey may not be easy, you may not stay out of the fire or AWAY FROM CANCER, but God is faithful and has a plan.

The only thing that will burn up is the ropes of doubt that bound you. And there in the fire you will know His presence more than EVER!

Dont give up and have faith, and find Jesus right in the fire with you.

Mackenzie McKee Tries to Explain Death to Her Kids in Heartbreaking Teen Mom Teaser

Late last year, Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee lost her mother, Angie Douthit, after a two-year battle with cancer.

In a heartbreaking teaser, fans can see Mackenzie as she tries to prepare her children for their grandmother’s death.

Mackenzie mckee breaks the news to gannon

We have included the emotionally devastating video for fans to see.

“Nanny’s not going to get to come home from the hospital, OK?” Mackenzie tells her young son, Gannon.

Understandably seeking clarification, he asks if she will “never, ever, ever” come home.

Mackenzie, a devout Christian, expresses: “I think it’s time for her to go to heaven.”

So many challenges ahead

In January 2018, Angie was diagnosed with brain cancer.

Unfortunately, the tumors were not limited to her brain.

In May of that year, it was revealed that the cancer had spread to her lungs and bones.

Angie underwent chemotherapy in June of that year and was initially said to be responding well to the treatments.

Unfortunately, Angie’s cancer came back with a vengeance.

She revealed that she had 10 brain tumors.

One of the tumors plaguing Angie’s body was described as being the size of an orange.

Additionally, the rest of her body was said to be riddled with more tiny tumors.

And mackenzie mckee

Angie stopped chemo in August of 2019.

Cancer treatments put the body and mind through hell and in her case, it wasn’t going to be enough.

In December of last year, Angie passed away.

“Momma @angiedouthit has crossed the finish line,” Mackenzie expressed on social media.

“She did not lose the battle, she [won],” Mackenzie’s mournful Instagram post continued.

“She is healed and running in heaven in eternity,” she expressed.

Mackenzie added: “[I don’t know] anyone who left earth with such an impact.”

The entire Teen Mom fandom mourns with her.

Mackenzie mckees mom and dad

As you can imagine, Mackenzie’s New Year’s Eve was complicated after what she described as the “worst year” of her life.

Mackenzie spoke about how 2019, having included her mother’s death, had “deeply wounded” her.

“I spent more nights this year crying myself to sleep,” she wrote.

Mackenzie continued, saying that she had experienced more “deep anxiety, horrible depression than all my years put together.”

Hug for angie

She also reflected upon positive experiences, such as how she “got to travel [to] several fun places with my mom.”

“I got to watch her bring so many people to the lord and inspire hundreds of thousands on television,” Mackenzie noted.

She expressed her desire to carry on her late mother’s legacy. That is a beautiful dream.

“My kids were happy and healthy,” Mackenzie affirmed, “and I have great friends.”

Mackenzie mckee grieves

Explaining death to a child is difficult when they do not have a frame of reference for that sort of impermanence.

There are TV episodes and full-length animated movies that are designed to help them understand.

Mackenzie is also viewing this through the lens of a devout Christian, which creates additional complications in speaking to a child.

Describing heaven, the Christian afterlife, is one thing, but explaining to a child that it’s not a physical place that you can visit is another.
