Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar Purchase Gorgeous New Home in New City

Very recently, Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar sold their home, leaving behind the house that they bought in 2019.

Though the timing aligns closely with Josh’s sentencing hearing, the reason for the move more mundane — it’s for Derick’s new job.

Now, Derick has been sworn in as an attorney, and the Dillards have their new home.

Jill is showing off the upgrades that they have made to their new house.

“Today was a great day!” Derick wrote on Instagram last week.

“I was sworn in as a licensed attorney in the state of Arkansas,” he announced.

Derick gave a special shout-out to “my lovely bride, @jillmdillard who has been there for me through it all. I am eternally grateful.”

This week, Jill gave her fans and followers a virtual tour of their home, including some upgrades.

Obviously, it was part of some sort of deal that likely got her a discount for the work done on the home.

While some of these before-and-after photos look like a sad, monochromatic downgrade to our eyes, presumably it was what Jill and Derick wanted.

“We are so excited to show y’all a sneak peek of our new house!!” Jill wrote.

“We knew we wanted to make a few changes to the new place to update it + add some personal touches,” she explained.

“So,” Jill continued, “we scouted around and found someone to help us!”

It is of course a relief to hear that a pregnant Jill was not repainting or replacing cabinets in a new house or breathing in paint fumes.

Instead, they found a company “to turn our kitchen (+ a couple bedrooms) into a dream!!”

Of course, Jill gave the company and its employees rave reviews after they helped move a fridge, matched paint colors to trim, and painted an extra wall.

It is a little heartbreaking to see the vibrantly painted walls — one a breathtaking cobalt, another a bold aubergine — turned the private residence equivalent of “landlord white.”

Similarly, the countertops look newer but not necessarily better. A fine installation, but a less bold choice and with less character than the cabinetry that it replaced.

But, as we said, this must have been what Jill and Derick wanted. It’s their house, after all.

As for more details, the new family home is 2,450 square feet and located in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

The house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is pretty much exactly what you want if you’re about to welcome a third child.

Despite its decent size, they purchased the home for $385,000 — a testament to how varied the real estate market can be by location.

Derick’s new job is at the Adair County Clerk’s office. That’s a good stepping stone for a potentially lengthy law career.

Technically, that is located on the Arkansas-Oklahoma state line, but his commute will “only” be about 40 minutes — shaving off a cool half hour from his current distance.

Meanwhile, they will still be 45 minutes away from Jim Bob and Michelle, unfortunately.

Amy Duggar Cries Begging For Cousin Josh To Get ‘Harshest Sentence’ Possible For Child Porn

Josh Duggar is finally facing sentencing today after being found guilty on child porn charges back in December. While his mother and his wife may be asking for leniency, not all the Duggars are circling the wagons. Amy King Duggar spoke out one last time in an effort to get her cousin locked up for […]

Josh Duggar Will NEVER Be Rehabilitated by Enabling Relatives, Prosecution Argues

We are only days away from Josh Duggar’s sentencing hearing.

The prosecution, like most of the moral world, is asking that this dangerous creep receive the maximum of 20 years.

Meanwhile, Josh’s closest relatives, including his mother and his wife, are begging the court to let him off with a 5 year sentence.

While “5 years” is the kind of phrase that likely makes Josh’s ears perk up, the prosecution is putting his sympathizers on blast.

Josh Duggar has been convicted of receiving and possessing child sex-abuse material, known as CSAM.

It is important to emphasize this, because after the case was so thoroughly proven in excruciating detail in court, his guilt is not in question.

The courts now must decide whether Josh should go home in a few years to a household full of children, or remain safely locked away for as long as the law permits.

With the sentencing hearing to be held on May 25, Josh’s team is asking for only five years.

His wife, who seems so hopelessly brainwashed that she cannot see any path before her except endless devotion to him, begged the judge for leniency in a letter.

Josh’s mother, Michelle, who is at least partially responsible for who and what he is due to raising him in a cult, asked for the same in a letter of her own.

This week, the prosecution responded to this ridiculous request, taking aim at the claims made in the letters and the nutjobs who penned them.

“He claims that the writers are ‘extremely supportive while fully aware of his conviction[s],’” prosecutors noted, according to The Sun.

“‘And that this ‘will enable him to make the most of the rest of his life and to work hard to ensure that his children’s lives are impacted as little as is possible’ by his trafficking in CSAM,” they continued.

As we previously reported, Josh’s lingering supporters blamed his heinous crimes upon “challenges” that followed his reality TV fame.

The prosecution, however, says that these flimsy excuses “only underscore the appropriateness of the Government’s sentencing recommendations.

Prosecutors aregue that: “Indeed, his supportive family and public-facing and privileged lifestyle make his pattern of criminal conduct all the more baffling.”

“Despite achieving some level of fame through reality television as an adult,” the prosecution noted.

The response continued: “he is better known at this point for his behavior outside his family’s show.”

The prosecution noted that this is “including his sexual improprieties and criminal sexual conduct.”

The prosecution could not help but observe (like the rest of us) that all of these gushing letters begging for leniency tiptoed around or flat-out ignored the nature of Josh’s crimes.

They also did not delve into his past history of molesting little girls in person, which the prosecution referred to as his “sexual proclivities towards prepubescent girls.”

Prosecutors argue that it’s unlikely that Josh could find accountability or helpful treatment from a family that that can’t even discuss his crimes — which of course has been the case in the past.

“In fact, given the apparent success of his blame tactics with some of the individuals he intends to surround himself with after his release from incarceration,” the prosecution noted.

“it is not just unlikely– it is unconceivable,” the legal response continued, that Josh would be rehabilitated and prevented from re-offending.

The prosecution did acknowledge that Josh’s sentence will “undoubtedly reverberate through his immediate and extended family,” but that is almost always the case — and, in this rare instance, probably a good thing.

Jeremy Vuolo Admits Jim Bob and Michelle Confronted Jinger Duggar Over "Immodesty"

Time after time, Jinger Duggar has defied Jim Bob and the cult’s twisted rules by wearing normal human clothing.

Technically, it’s permitted, in the sense that her “lord husband” Jeremy Vuolo gives her “permission” to participate in society in certain ways.

But fans and wary critics alike have long wondered if there’s any truth to the rumors that Jim Bob and Michelle take issue with Jinger’s attire.

The answer is yes. Jeremy testified to that effect in court, describing a confrontation between his in-laws and his wife.

Let’s first make it clear that we’re not talking about Jinger starting an OnlyFans, posting non-facial orifices on Twitter, or trying to #FreeTheNipple on Instagram.

Those are all perfectly fine things to do for anyone who wishes to.

But Jinger’s “violations” are a little harder to explain to those unfamiliar with the Duggar family’s twisted worldview.

Jinger wears pants, she has styled and dyed her hair, and she and her husband have even shared photos of themselves drinking moderately.

Only in the cultural extremes of a fundamentalist cult are these kinds of activities seen as scandalous.

But that is Jinger’s background. Time after time, things like baring her shoulders has taken longtime fans aback, purely because they know the sexist rules by which Jinger was raised.

As for the confrontation, The Sun got their hands on unsealed court documents from the now-dismissed case in Arkansas.

Jinger’s husband, Jeremy, offered a deposition during the case last year, and was asked about Jim Bob and Michelle.

When asked if his in-laws had expressed “opinions about any different convictions” that he and Jinger have, he answered “yes.”

Jeremy provided an example as part of his deposition: “They’ve spoken to us about – what was it – I guess modesty is one.”

He admitted: “We’ve had a couple of conversations.”

Jeremy then answered “yes” when the attorney asked about Jinger choosing to “wear pants on occasion.”

Jeremy confirmed what the entire world already knows — that Michelle does not wear pants.

“Is that the question of modesty that they talk to you about; pants versus skirts?” the attorney asked.

“In a way, yes. I mean, not that exact word,” Jeremy answered.

“They just shared their – their thoughts on women wearing dresses, I guess,” Jeremy summarized.

He cited: “I remember Mrs. Duggar just sharing her own personal journey of modesty.”

Jeremy then disagreed with the idea that Jinger in any way “dresses in an immodest way.”

Jeremy’s deposition also touched on other topics, and so did Jinger.

They acknowledged that they are not intent upon breeding enough children to populate a small nation in the way that Jim Bob and Michelle are.

He and Jinger are very conservative Christians by normal societal standards, but less extreme than the cult in which Jinger grew up.

Jeremy was also asked about emotional distance from his in-laws, particularly in light of the move to California.

“There – perhaps. I think, though, diagnosing that would be difficult,” he admitted.

““I think as you grow and have your own family, kids, and life,” Jeremy said. “You know, you go from, like, seeing everyone every day to talking to everyone every day to, you know.”
