Ashley Jones and Bar Smith: Secretly Married! (And Already Headed For Divorce?)

During her time on Teen Mom: Family Reunion, Ashley Jones received a mixed reaction from viewers.

Ashley dragged the f–k out of Farrah Abraham, which earned her some major points.

But she also made some insensitive comments about Jade Cline’s alleged drug use, which didn’t sit so well with fans of the show.

It’s been a while since we checked in on the divisive Ms. Jones, but it seems she’s been quite busy in her time away from the spotlight.

Ahead of Tuesday’s Teen Mom 2 Season 11 premiere, Ashley revealed that she recently got married to baby daddy Bar Smith!

The parents of four-year-old Holly didn’t have the fanciest wedding — in fact, they didn’t have a ceremony at all.

But the important thing is that they’re officially man and wife!

“So while the cameras weren’t around, Bar and I went and got married,” Jones told MTV.

“It wasn’t even a courthouse ceremony, we just had my mom sign the documents, we didn’t take a single photo, we didn’t have a nice dinner, I literally think we went to Jack in the Box.”

Ashley says she and Bar were in a rush to make it official and weren’t concerned about the lack of pomp and circumstance on their big day.

“I had two things going on that were the reasons why I wanted to just sign the paperwork. No. 1, Bar’s family and my family, they just can’t f–king get along for the life of them,” she explained.

“And No. 2, COVID. How long would we potentially be waiting for our marriage? But even though we’re married now, things between us have been super rocky lately.”

In his own confessional segment, Bar reveled that the marriage is “definitely in a rough spot” already.

“I failed school and everything kind of started falling from under me. I have to serve 15 days in county jail for the DUI situation,” he explained.

“As far as the discharging the firearm incident, if they decide to pick the case up and charge me, then they can.”

Bar accepts full responsibility for the trouble in his marriage, saying:

“I can’t be really upset at her for where she stands right now.

“I’d be upset with myself, actually, I am upset with myself. I’m terrified of losing my relationship.”

“I know we talked about this before, but I feel like we’re going in circles in our relationship,“ Ashley said to Bar in a preview scene from TM2 Season 11.

“I know that I have been extremely stagnant and stopped doing s–t. I have a trend of doing that over the last f–king five, six years,” Bar responded.

“I know it’s starting to cause issues in a lot of places in my life though, include between us and s–t like that. I do recognize s–t that I need to fix.

“A lot of that s–t that you tired of me doing and saying and hearing, I am f–king just as tired if not more than you. Understand how it is on my end,” he continued.

“It’s a very very scary feeling to know that we are this far along. We have gotten married and s–t like this and now we’re coming up to this and it could be a possibility that s–t could just end up getting f–ked up or something like that permanently.”

“But that’s on you,” Ashley replied.

“I know. I do love you to death and we are married and I want to keep it that way,” a contrite Bar responded.

Needless to say, it sounds like married life has not been kind to Bar and Ashley thus far.

Here’s hoping they can find some common ground before it’s too late.

Javi Marroquin to Kailyn Lowry: Let’s Get Married! Again!

Teen Mom 2 is all set to run it back on MTV.

And, appropriately enough, Javi Marroquin appears all set to run it back with Kailyn Lowry as well.

In anticipation of the March 8 Season 11 premiere of this beloved franchise, producers have dropped a revealing, minute-long trailer.

As you can see on this page, the footage hones in on a number of complex and sensitive romantic entanglement involving a variety of cast members — but nearly every loyal fan will be most interested in what Javi and Kailyn have to say.

At one point, we see the former spouses sitting across from each other, right before Marroquin expresses rather strong and obvious interest in rekindling their long-ago love.

“Would you be open to getting back into a relationship?” he asks the mother of his first son.

Kaitlyn doesn’t respond on camera, but later someone offscreen that Javi “wants to get married again.”

It’s important to remember, of course, that these episodes were filmed awhile back.

Approximately two months ago, there was talk that Javi and Kailyn were back together, but let’s be frank here, shall we?

There’s been talk of Javi and Kailyn getting back together almost since they divorced.

The former flames have been on decent terms for a long time now, and Javi almost definitely cheated on his second baby mama, Lauren Comeau, with Kailyn at some point.

Last month, though, on an episode of her Baby Mamas No Drama podcast, Kailyn said she would “never be friends” again with Marroquin.

“I’m in therapy to talk about how to not be his friend,” Kailyn explained at the time to listeners, adding that she had probably gotten to close to him at the end of 2021 and at the outset of 2022.

The goal now, Kailyn continued, was to learn how one can “co-parent civilly and not be best friends.

“I think being best friends is super toxic.”

Elsewhere in this same trailer, Leah Messer sits down on a swing for a conversation with her new boyfriend, Jaylan Mobley.

“I’ve never wanted to be in a long-distance relationship,” she tells Mobley.

Things aren’t exactly perfect for Ashley Jones, either, as a loved one advises her to divorce her new husband Bar Smith, although he wants to “salvage [his] relationship.”

Might it be too late, however?

“When I decipher what I’m going to do, I will let everybody around me know,” Ashley mysteriously says to some of those closest to her in the video.

In a trio of other intriguing scenes:

  • We hear Jade’s mom, Christy Smith, say she’s “going to jail” following her previous arrest for possession of meth.
  • Briana admits she’s “going through a lawsuit” with Kailyn.
  • Lowry says she’s gonna get fired by MTV.

Teen Mom 2 premiered on MTV in 2011. The franchise first kicked off with 16 & Pregnant, which ran from 2009 to 2014.

Teen Mom 2 premieres March 8 at 8/7c on MTV.

Teen Mom: Family Reunion Promptly Devolves Into Screaming Match on First Night

Most of the promised Teen Mom madness will come later in Teen Mom: Family Reunion, especially after Farrah arrives.

Even the premiere showed that the premise was a recipe for disaster — in a good way.

Well, good for the viewers. Not so good for the image of some of the Moms.

Things nearly came to blows after a round of “scream therapy,” and it was only the first night.

The premise, as presented on screen, is that Maci Bookout and Cheyenne Floyd arranged for the getaway, but not the guest list.

Sure.

It looks like Maci and Cheyenne had no idea who else might show up — and that, at least, seems true.

“I want the moms to realize we are a lot more alike than we are different,” Maci said at the resort.

“And,” she opined, “there’s a lot to learn from each other.”

In a deeply sad reminder of how much their lives were changed, Maci added: “This will be the spring break that we never had.”

Cheyenne sounded a little less optimistic, observing “a lot of pettiness” among some of the cast.

Even so, she expressed a hope that this experience can bring some of them closer together.

The ladies arrived and had a meet and greet at a mixer.

This is when Maci and Cheyenne first learned that Farrah Abraham would be part of the group.

“We never got along with her,” Maci noted, “but we also said we should involve everyone.”

Maci correctly added of Farrah: “She’s just mean.”

With Farrah’s ominous arrival still in the future, the opening conflicts had more to do with Jade, Briana, and Ashley.

Jade and Briana felt that Ashley had been disrespectful towards them on social media.

Jade wanted to keep her distance, Ashley wanted to just be Fake Nice (you know, like an adult), but that backfired with this crowd.

To throw gas on the fire, production include a life coach at the mixer.

Life coaches work well on reality television because they have no sense of shame, are immune to cringe, and encourage needless confrontation as “therapeutic.”

That is exactly what this one did, pushing the moms to work out all of their issues on the first night.

the cast screams on Teen Mom Family Reunion

She didn’t stop there, but pushed the ladies to engage in something called “scream therapy.”

Literally, the moms were asked to scream something that they dislike about themselves or someone in the group.

This waking nightmare played out, and some of the answers were almost comically on brand.

Leah admitted that she has real issues with trusting people.

Amber, instead of taking responsibility for any of her abhorrent actions, yelled about the men she has dated.

Maci confessed her fear that she is “not enough.”

Briana of course raised a few eyebrows by complaining about “fakeness.”

Not afraid to turn her subtext into an explicit criticism, she made it clear that she was talking about Ashley.

Because Ashley had been aggressive online but fake nice at the resort (you know, like a grownup), Briana thought it was “f–ked up.”

“I feel like it could have been inflated given the fact we’re both on TV,” Ashley opined.

“I think if you and I had a chance to talk, it would have been different,” she added.

Ashley admitted: “I probably should have never said s–t, so for that I’m sorry.”

“I’m big enough to say I should have never said s–t,” Ashley affirmed.

She then stated: “And how you move forward is how you move forward.”

Jade wasn’t willing to drop it, however.

“What I see here, how you’re talking to me, is a different person from what I’ve experienced online,” Jade observed.

“You try to bully me online, you try to put me down, say all these really toxic things,” she accused.

“I come here and you’re cordial and you’re fine … but then I’ve seen you online saying nasty things,” Jade noted. “I feel like it’s two different people.”

This heated confrontation was happening in close quarters.

Amber, herself familiar with how anger can turn to violence, expressed a concern that this could get physical.

Ashley promised that she had no plans to hit anyone, and continued to try to excuse her behavior.

Jade was not having it, yelling: “We all have our own f–king problems!”

“Come to me as a f–king adult,” she demanded, “don’t attack me online!”

This was when producers, sharing Amber’s worries, stepped in to create some space between the women.

Cheyenne watched this unfold at a distance, nursing her wine.

Maci marveled: “Literally night one? This is going to be a long trip!”

The life coach, on the other hand, was pleased and encouraged by the contentious mess that had played out.

Nothing was actually resolved, though, with Ashley now accusing Jade and Briana of being “fake as f–k!”

Security had to step in to keep Jade from reacting poorly.

Ashley made the situation by twerking her in an effort to taunt her.

“I’ve never actually seen someone twerk and argue at the same time,” Cheyenne marveled.

Amber described: “I have a whole damn movie in front of me.”

This is just the beginning of the nonsense … and Farrah isn’t even there yet. What a world.

Kailyn Lowry Reveals She Has Been Diagnosed with Depression

In April, Kailyn Lowry shared that she had been misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Though Kail often has a hard time, that label and the treatments for it were not for her.

It turns out that she has a more accurate, and in some ways, simpler diagnosis.

Kailyn has now revealed that she has been diagnosed with clinical depression.

On Thursday, Kailyn Lowry took to her Instagram Stories for a holiday season Q&A session with her fans and followers.

During that time on social media, she requested only one thing of her fans: that they ask her “good stuff only.”

One Teen Mom 2 fan went above and beyond, submitting a compliment instead of a query.

“Lookin like a bad bitch today,” the follower submitted to Kail.

Kailyn replied with a selfie and an earnest thank you.

“Got diagnosed w depression and needed a pick me up,” she wrote. “Appreciate you!”

Depression is actually a classification of various types of mood disorders.

Classic signs can include a lack of motivation, an inability to find joy in hobbies or interests, a lack of energy, and much more.

Sometimes situations can cause depression — such as the death of a loved one. Many find that chemical imbalances and trauma inflict depression upon them.

This time of year can be brutal for those with depression.

Just as bright light is hard for those with anxiety, the decrease in sunlight that most of us hardly notice can make those with depression feel drained of life.

It’s sad that while so many of us delight in the weather and mercifully early sunsets, those suffering from depression are struggling.

Kailyn was speaking on the The Things That Shape Us podcast in April when she shared that she was not, in fact, bipolar.

“Did I see you when I went through the doctors and they had me reassessed and re-evaluated and I ended up not being bipolar?” she asked.

While Bipolar disorder includes depression (and mania, both in extremes when unmanaged), it is not the same as depression.

In 2015, Kailyn revealed that she had stopped taking her meds for bipolar disorder, not noticing a difference in how she felt.

In some cases, those with mental illnesses that impact their moods and perceptions stop taking medications to their own detriment.

However, if someone is misdiagnosed, their medication and treatment might not help them at all.

Kailyn’s mother was diagnosed as bipolar.

Because many mental illnesses can be hereditary, it was not unreasonable for doctors to consider whether this diagnosis fit Kailyn.

However, even we — who are not psychiatrists and certainly have not evaluated Kailyn — can admit that depression sounds like a more accurate diagnosis.

For decades, depression medications were infamous for their side effects — in some cases, including a risk of backfiring on the patient by worsening depression.

In some ways, that is still the case, but there are more medications, there have been more studies, and many doctors are better able to find the right prescription for their patient.

While the outrageously high cost of healthcare is still an obstacle for many people, that is at least no barrier to Kailyn. We hope that she finds the right treatment for her.
